- Any group of men, they have got a particular type of dress, the military dress, the police dress. So people can understand that "Here is a police." Similarly, by this dress they will chant, "Hare Krsna!" immediately. That is our experience

- As a result (of neglecting the divisions of society), whoever somehow or other becomes powerful will be the king or president, and thus the prajas, or citizens, will be so harassed that they will give up hearth and home and will go to the forest

- Because "It is folly to be wise where ignorance is bliss" - the whole world full of nonsense and rascals - if you speak something sensible, they'll laugh
- Because he (sudra) cannot even live without having a master. He must have a master to provide him. But the Vedic culture is that brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya, they will not accept any service
- Because he is family man, he should have some special consideration. A brahmacari can tolerate any inconvenience, but women and children cannot. They will have difficulty
- Because of the temperament of the Mayavadi philosophers, real knowledge is taken from them. Because they cannot receive the mercy of the Lord, they will always be bewildered by His transcendental form
- Because of their (the so-called scientist's and philosopher's) devilish brains, they will next be forced to accept an abominable life and practically never be able to liberate themselves from the conditional life of material existence
- Because that stool and urine is also useful. Cow is so important. They'll eat and they'll pass stool and urine. That is also important. If they supply milk, it is well, very good. Otherwise the stool and urine is also important
- Because they (those who are envious upon the SPG) want to forget God, therefore God puts them into such condition that they will never be able to understand what is God. This is the version from Bhagavad-gita by the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Because we are chanting Hare Krsna mantra, we have got so many enemies. This is the world. Sura and asura. Because the more asuras . . . they'll never tolerate. The glorifying the Lord, they cannot tolerate

- Brahmana means as it is, they will describe. That is brahmana. And if one has got some motive, that "Bhagavad-gita is popular book. Let me utilize it and make my rascal philosophy popular . . ." That is wrong. That is sudra
- Brahmana, fully engaged for enlightenment of the people, knowledge, spiritual knowledge. They are meant for that. They will cultivate that knowledge personally, pathana pathana, and make students, brahminical class
- Brahmanas, ksatriyas and vaisyas must behave according to the principles of their order. If they fall down to the level of sudras, who are accustomed to drink liquor they will be punished
- Bring any so-called swami and yogis and talk with them about jnana. They will be, I mean to say, victorious, even they are with me for only four and five years
- By God's arrangement, by nature's arrangement, all the necessities of the living entities, they will be supplied. They will be free from all anxieties, diseases. This was practically demonstrated during the reign of Maharaja Yudhisthira
- By performing this particular type of vrata (visnu-vrata), a man and a woman in Krsna consciousness will be happy in this material world, and because of being Krsna conscious they will be promoted to the spiritual world
- By the grace of Krsna, we have no debts. No. We have no scarcity of money. They will simply find out. Now in Bombay I am getting from my Book Fund seven lakhs of rupees per month regularly
- By this material civilization they will never be happy. And it is risky. That they do not know. They do not believe in the transmigration of the soul. So irresponsibly… Or just like these elderly person, how they are wasting time

- Caitanya Mahaprabhu knew it very well that all the rascals, they will call them vedanti and do all nonsense. So don't become falsely a vedanti. Real vedanti means if you simply know Krsna and surrender unto Him, then you become a vedanti, real vedanti
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, and the sastras say, that people in this age are so fallen. It is very difficult to raise them by properly giving education. They will not take education. They will not be able
- Citizens, will be so harassed that they will give up hearth and home and will go to the forest (yasyanti giri-kananam) to escape harassment by government officials who have no mercy and are addicted to the ways of plunderers
- Civic and other popular leaders should center their activities upon Visnu, and by this act of transcendental work, they will themselves be benefited and shall be able to do good for their respective followers
- Continue with this program of standing orders. It is very important preaching work. At least if they read our books they will not speak nonsense that kirtana is nuisance
- Creating the background very nicely, sattva-guna, they'll beget a child. That child will come, some great man, now great devotee. So everything has got the material relationship, how to do it. That is sastra. You do it, but follow the sastric injunction
- Crows will never come to a nice place. They'll go to the filthy place, where everything rubbish is thrown out. The crow will take advantage of it: "Oh, here is enjoyable thing." Tad vayasam tirtham
- Crows, they will go where you throw all rubbish things. They'll go there. You see nature. People say everyone is equal. How you can say equal? Even in the bird society there is no equality, in the animal society there is no equality
D
- Demons think that they will manufacture their own process of yajna and prepare some machine, by which they will be able to reach any higher planet. The best example of such a demoniac man was Ravana. BG 1972 purports
- Devotees do not fear the annihilation of the body, for they are confident that after the annihilation they will go back home, back to Godhead
- Devotees engaged in devotional service are not very much attached to their bodies, unlike the yogis, who are too attached to the body and who think that by performing bodily gymnastic exercises they will advance in spiritual consciousness
- Devotees who render continuous service to the Lord have already attained immortality, for whatever they are doing in this life they will continue to do in the next
- Distribute my books profusely. They will someday realize how valuable books we have left them
- Do not force, but if gradually they understand, they will voluntarily accept the life of tapasya or austerity of Krsna Consciousness movement
- Don't make it a stool society. You see? Make it a honey society. At least, give chance, those who are seeking after honey. Don't cheat people. So they'll come
- Dullness means consciousness is covered. You put a child in open air, he'll not feel much cold. You'll see practically. He'll not feel, because consciousness is not developed. Animal, they will not feel cold. But we feel

- Each and everyone of us, we are thinking, "I am independent, and my wife, my children, my society, they are my soldiers. If I am in danger, they will help me." This is going on. This is called maya
- Either they (those who are acting in the modes of passion and ignorance) will have to remain in this material world as human beings, or they will descend among the species of animals or even lower life forms. BG 1972 purports
- Emphasis should be given to the words of Bhagavat, they are spiritual and will have powerful effect if someone only hears them with attention, do not be very much enamoured by fancy costumes and stage-decorations, they will only distract
- Enthuse the people to stick to the chanting of Hare Krishna Mantra and following the rules and regulations. Then they will be strong enough to manage things very nicely. Other things will be supplied by Krishna
- Envious men will find out some fault anywhere. There is no fault, actually, but they will manufacture some fault. That is their business. So many persons were envious of my Guru Maharaja, but He was preaching and did not care for them
- Even big, big political leaders. They will cover: "Kuruksetra means this, dharmaksetra means this." No. Hearing should be ... Our policy is hearing the original, as it is. Then it will be effective
- Even Chief Justice, he cannot make a law. The law is given by state. Similarly, dharma means bhagavata-dharma and other so-called dharmas, they are not dharmas. They will not be accepted
- Even great scholars and philosophers like Dr. Radhakrishnan will have to perform heaps of austerities and penances before they will yield to the process of surrender
- Even if he accepts that, "Yes, I shall wash your dishes," the family will not allow him. They will say: "Oh, you are coming from brahmin. How can you wash? We shall go to hell." Just see
- Even if they are officially engaged in devotional service, they cannot achieve the highest perfectional stage. Most probably they will slip, after some time
- Even if you go to the highest planetary system, Brahmaloka, then there also punar avartinah, means the four principles of material existence, namely birth, death, old age and disease, they will accompany you
- Even in old days they were dealing with this politics. What they will do good to the people? But they do not know. This is disease
- Even in the civilized society, there are persons, they are put into such a circumstances that they will never be able to understand what is God consciousness or what is Krsna consciousness. They are so misfortunate
- Even in the modern age, in some communities or states, the old men are given poison so that they will die as soon as possible
- Even so-called followers of Gita, they will be caught up by this movement as rascals. Because the real purpose of Gita they do not know. Real purpose of Gita is to know Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Even they (the children who will be educated in Krsna consciousness) are not literary person, they will have character and they'll become Krsna devotee. That is real education
- Every one of them, all these rascals, are . . . they're engaged in four kinds of sinful activities. They'll search after illicit sex, they will eat meat, and they will drink and they will play gambling. Just one after a . . . you just study
- Everyone is keeping a dog, very favorite pet. And in church, they'll talk of God, but practically they love the dog. Is it not? This is going on, in the name of religion
- Everyone is seeking satisfaction, atyantiksu. Everyone is struggling for existence for the ultimate happiness. But in this material world, although they are thinking by possessing material wealth they will be satisfied, but that is not the fact
- Everyone is very anxious to become guru, but rascal does not know how to become guru. So many gurus come from India, all rascal, but they will not speak what Krsna has instructed. Maybe for the first time this has begun, in Krsna consciousness
- Everyone wants that his son should be hard working, just like hogs and dogs, and satisfy senses. That's all. Everyone wants. That is civilization. Nobody wants that his son should be a devotee. They will not tolerate that
- Everyone, especially the karmis, they think that they will live forever. This is the most wonderful thing

- First of all you must teach by your personal example. This is the principle of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu (apani acari bhak pracaram). So you yourself must chant 16 rounds and follow the regulative principles and automatically they will do as you are doing
- First of all you surrender; then you ask question. The rascals first of all will question. And when he is satisfied, they will surrender. This is not the process
- First of all, they were importing European masters, and now they are importing dogs. Now they will have to import European brahmanas. Yes. Because in India all the brahmanas are now finished

- For toothache, we go to the dentist and they extract the teeth, but I have read in Ayurvedic medicine, there is a drug, a root, only if you touch this side of the mouth, all the germs collected within the teeth they will come out
- Formerly marriage was a religious ceremony. Marriage was, this boy and this girl should be married, it is a religious function where the father and mother will see their horoscope and see if they are compatible, they will agree, they will live peacefully
- Formerly the father, mother used to see that this boy and this girl are going to be married. So by horoscope, by other circumstances, by family, cultural, by education, so many things, whether they will live peacefully. That was the understanding
- Formerly, there was no need of books. Nowadays, at the present moment, our memory is not so sharp due to Kali-yuga. Therefore Vyasadeva wrote in books, in words, because he foresaw that The people in this age, they will be dull-headed rascals
- Four hundred years before, the Red American, Red Indians, they were the proprietor. Now you are the proprietor. Now, after, say, four hundred years or thousand years, somebody will come. They'll become proprietor. So actually, we are not proprietor
- Freud accepted the leadership of sex, but he did not admit it, but going on speaking on sex. And those who have taken the leadership of God, they will speak only of God, nothing else

- Gandhi also took Bhagavad-gita for his political diplomacy. This is going on. And they'll never agree to accept Bhagavad-gita as it is. They'll never agree
- Glowworms, bring sunlight, then they will automatically go away. Krsna - surya-sama; maya haya andhakara
- Godless means mudha, rascal, duskrtina. They will attempt so many things, simply waste their time and energy. Because they are rascals. And a human being should have intelligence, but they are lower, lowest status of the human being

- He (Krsna) explained that all individual persons, including the Lord Himself, are eternal individuals; they were individuals in the past, they are individuals in the present, and they will continue to remain individuals in the future. BG 1972 purports
- He (the father) should be resolved to train his children in such a way that they will no longer have to be subjected to the painful cycle of birth and death. But before one can do this, he has to make himself expert
- He (who thinks wife, friends, etc. will protect him) is seeing actually that "So many friends - my father, my uncle, my mother, my teachers - they are all died, & they will also die." So these people, everyone will die. How they will give me protection?
- He knows that they will be finished, pasyann api na pasyati. He has practical experience, still he does not see. This is called maya. Maya means thing is one and he's thinking otherwise
- He's actually yogi, that always trying to seize the lotus feet of Krsna, so that gradually they’ll be promoted to the pure devotional stage. So unless one is situated in pure devotional stage, the perfection will be not be there
- Hearing is the first step in God realization; therefore if we can simply convince these big men to hear, then gradually they will come to the point of accepting us
- Hindu, Muslim, or whatever you may be, everyone accepts there is God. So we are teaching not to formally accept there is God, but know what is God and love Him. So those who are interested for higher knowledge of God, they'll take it
- How from milk in different stages you get this foodstuff, kacuris, srngara, sandesa, rabri. And this chana, if fried, if you prepare nicely with little hing and ginger, then it will exactly taste like meat. They'll forget
- However powerful the reactions of one's sins, they will immediately be vanquished if one chants the name of Hari, Krsna, Balarama or Narayana
- However, this will not harm my attempt. These pastimes of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu will certainly please all saintly people who have clear hearts. They will certainly enjoy it. We wish that this will enhance their enjoyment more and more
- Human form of life was given to him to become purified, but they are engaged in sinful activities so that next life they'll be cats and dogs and hogs and trees. Why trees? Trees stands naked

- I am accepting Vaclav and Jan as my initiated disciples. Their spiritual names are Paragati dasa and Turiya dasa respectively. See that they chant regularly 16 rounds and follow our principles. Then they will remain strong in Krishna consciousness
- I am especially talking to my sannyasi disciples, who are going out today on a great mission. Please stick to this principle-one-Krsna. You will be benefited, and the persons to whom you'll talk, they will be benefited, the world will be benefited

- Let the logicians compare all the results of other humanitarian work with the merciful activities of Lord Caitanya. If their judgment is impartial, they will understand that no other humanitarian activities can surpass those of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu
- Let the Mayavadi Vedantists and their followers accept the conclusions of Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam. Then they will understand Vedanta-sutra. They'll be real Vedantists

- So far the body's concerned, either it is dead or alive, it is not the subject matter of any talk. Nanusocanti panditah. Those who are learned scholars don't talk about the body. They'll talk about the soul. That is pandita
- So I (Prabhupada) request you, those who are interested in loving God, in Krsna consciousness, they will kindly associate with these devotees. Adau sraddha tato sadhu-sanga. And these devotees... This is our method
- So if people take advantage of this movement, try to understand these books, they will be benefited greatly. So that is the basic principle of my teaching. It is the most perfect humanitarian work

- So one side, there is no rain - one side, there is no rice, especially in India; and one side, heavy tax. So they'll be all confused. They have already become confused
- So try to attract these students with profuse prasadam and nice philosophy and they will appreciate more and more. Slow but sure, that is our motto
- So-called education means creating unemployment. They will go with application, "Give me some clerical post, some this post, that post, that post." This is education
- So-called philosophers mind is not very broad. What is called? Ah? What is the English word? Crippled. Mind is very crippled. Durasaya. Therefore they are hoping against hope. They will not live here. Still, they are decorating, decorating the dead body
- Some consider their age and circumstances, concern themselves with the influence of time and thus engage in pious activities so that in the future they will not be put into a low family or an animal species

- They do not know what is civilization. This is civilization, huh? Brahmana. And they will think, "What is this nonsense, to worship a brahmana, to give food to the brahmana-bhojana?"
- They foolishly think that simply "I am the monarch of all I survey." That's all. This planet is the monarch, and all other planets they're all subservient. They will satisfy our senses. This is foolishness

- They will spend lots of money for a skyscraper building to get income, and temple is called nonproductive building. You see? They do not wish to engage their money in nonproductive thing because they have become economic
- They will try to make a research and waste time and waste money, public money, and pass on as great scientist, philosopher, leaders, politician, and mislead people, without any factual knowledge
- They'll chant, "Chemical evolution, chemical evolution" and get Nobel Prize. Rascals. But how the people are so foolish that they believe in this
- They'll give us description of the land, and before our going, they'll make a camp. Small, big, that doesn't matter. And in the morning, the former camp broken, and go to the next camp with kirtana

- This is our misconception. We are thinking that this paraphernalia - my country, my community, my countrymen or my family, my wife, my children and so many things, mine, mine, mine - so I'm thinking that they will give me all protection. No

- Those who are addicted to these bad habits (prostitute-hunting, meat-eating, gambling, etc.), in their hundreds and thousands of life they will never be able to understand what is God. The door is locked for them

- We are giving the name of God, the address of God, the father, God's father's name also, Nanda-nandana, Devaki-nandana. So where is the difficulty to find out? There is no difficulty. But the rascals will not accept. They will continue their rascaldom

- Why Krsna says go-raksya? He did not say that "pig-raksya." No. "Dog-raksya," no. Now they are interested in dog-raksya instead of cow-raksya. This is the civilization. They'll spend millions of dollars for dog, not for cow
- Why the poor animals should be killed? They have got equal rights. But these rascals, they will not give equal rights
- Why this chance should not be given to the human society? What is this nonsense dog dancing, election, and bribing, stealing and unnecessarily struggle? What they'll do? They are all nothing, all of these
- Why you should chant Hare Krsna? Where is Krsna? Where is God? - This is the atheistic temperament. They'll simply defy God, or Krsna. So the atheistic and the theistic persons are always there. But the theistic persons, they see always God
- With sacrificial performances the conditioned souls will never be in difficulty in keeping body & soul together. Ultimately they can purify their existence. They will find natural promotion into spiritual existence, the real identity of the living being
- Without knowing the real self-interest, they are engaged in so many so-called duties. Krsna says, sarva-dharman: "Give up all these duties," but they will not do
