- He (Sri Rupa Gosvami) met Haridasa Thakura in Jagannatha Puri, where he also met Lord Caitanya and His other associates. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu used to praise the handwriting of Rupa Gosvami
- He (Srila Rupa Gosvami) clearly mentions in this verse (Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.2.101) that one must refer to the Vedic literatures and other, supplementary literatures and follow the conclusion of the Vedas
- He (Subuddhi Raya) was very pleased to meet Sri Rupa Gosvami and Anupama, and he showed them the twelve forests of Vrndavana. Thus they lived in Vrndavana for one month and then again went to search for Sanatana Gosvami
- He collected whatever money he had accumulated in Bengal and divided it among his relatives, the brahmanas and the temples
- He heard Srimad-Bhagavatam and talks about Lord Krsna with us, and both of us examined him
- He instructs His own pure devotional service to His own devotees. Will He again be the object of my vision?

- His (a Krsna conscious person's) ideal in this (sleeping keeping to a minimum) respect is Srila Rupa Gosvami, who was always engaged in the service of Krsna and who could not sleep more than two hours a day, and sometimes not even that. BG 1972 purports
- His (Lord Caitanya) representative is Sri Svarupa Damodara Gosvami, and the next representatives are the six Gosvamis - Sri Rupa, Sri Sanatana, Bhatta Raghunatha, Sri Jiva, Gopala Bhatta and Dasa Raghunatha
- His (Sanatana Gosvami's) brother, Rupa Gosvami, was also a minister in the government, but both of them gave up their lucrative government posts to become mendicants and serve the Supreme Lord

- How to come to this bhava stage, that is Rupa Gosvami has described: adau sraddha (Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.4.15). First of all little faith
- However, according to the statements of Srila Rupa Gosvami in this verse, an American gosvami and a gosvami in a family of acaryas are nondifferent
I
- I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) am faultless because I have written herein whatever I have understood from Svarupa Damodara Gosvami and Rupa and Raghunatha dasa Gosvamis
- I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) shall therefore enumerate the chief books compiled by Srila Rupa Gosvami. He has described the pastimes of Vrndavana in 100,000 verses
- I (Rupa Gosvami) have already described all these incidents, but I still wish to add briefly something more
- I (Rupa Gosvami) offer my respects to Krsna, who has now appeared as Lord Caitanya
- I (Rupa Gosvami) shall write two separate invocations of good fortune and two different introductions. Let me think deeply about the matter and then describe two different sets of incidents
- I (Srila Rupa Gosvami) know that even big demigods like Brahma do not see the rays of the nails of Your lotus feet, even though they are engaged in deep meditation for years together
- I (Srila Srinivasa Acarya) offer my respectful obeisances unto the six Gosvamis, namely Sri Sanatana Gosvami, Sri Rupa Gosvami, Sri Raghunatha Bhatta Gosvami, Sri Raghunatha dasa Gosvami, Sri Jiva Gosvami and Sri Gopala Bhatta Gosvami

- I also remember the six Gosvamis - Rupa, Sanatana, Bhatta Raghunatha, Sri Jiva, Gopala Bhatta and Dasa Raghunatha
- I am accepting this dress following the footprints of other acaryas. This dress was accepted by Rupa Gosvami, not ordinary person. The six Gosvamis, they accepted. It is called paramahamsa stage, sannyasi's highest stage
- I am struck with wonder when I hear about the devotional service he executed. I accept Srila Rupa Gosvami and Raghunatha dasa Gosvami as my guides
- I am very glad to learn that Govardhana dasa has become a leader in the deity worship, due to his inspired service. That is the real thing - one who has inspiration of life, he can do anything. Rupa Goswami explains this as "utsaha'', enthusiasm
- I can support the explanation of these two verses (verses 5 and 6 of the First Chapter) with a verse by Sri Rupa Gosvami
- I empowered both of these brothers to go to Vrndavana to expand the literature of bhakti
- I have brought together in one work all the pastimes performed by Lord Krsna in Vrndavana and in Dvaraka. Now I shall have to divide them into two dramas
- I have got no shortage of places to live, 85 branches around the world, but because it is Rupa Goswami's place and I want to do some service, therefore I want to keep these rooms
- I have to translate all the Puranas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and many other theistic literatures left by the Gaudiya Vaisnavas headed by the six Goswamis like Rupa, Sanatana, Jiva, etc

- I pray to the lotus feet of the six Gosvamis - Sri Rupa, Sanatana, Bhatta Raghunatha, Sri Jiva, Gopala Bhatta and Dasa Raghunatha - so that all impediments to my writing this literature will be annihilated and my real desire will be fulfilled
- I really had no business in coming to Bengal, but I have come just to see you two brothers
- I see that the truths regarding transcendental mellows that You expounded through my mouth are all explained in the writings of Srila Rupa Gosvami
- I thereupon also bestowed upon him My transcendental potency. Now you also should give him instructions. In particular, instruct him in transcendental mellows
- I wish to place the lotus feet of the Gosvamis on my head. Their names are Sri Svarupa Damodara, Sri Rupa Gosvami, Sri Sanatana Gosvami, Sri Raghunatha dasa Gosvami and Sri Jiva Gosvami
- I'm servant of that person who is engaged in the service of the six Gosvamis. And we pray to our Guru Maharaja, rupanuga-viruddhapasiddhanta-dhvanta-harine. Anyone who is going against the decision of Rupa Gosvami, reject him. This is our process
- If any Vaisnava is writing song about Krishna, he should have realized himself what is Krishna, just like our great saints and acaryas like Madhvacarya, Ramanujacarya, Rupa Goswami, six Gosvamis, Bilvamangala, Bhaktivinode Thakura, like that

- If I (Rupa Gosvami) could have millions of tongues and trillions of ears, then I could relish something by chanting and hearing
- If it is interpreted to mean Sanatana Gosvami, then it is because he is so greatly favored by Rupa Gosvami, being always served by him, and because he is the annihilator of all kinds of sinful activities
- If one becomes a devotee of Gaurasundara or Krsna but does not give importance to the Panca-tattva, his activities are considered to be offenses, or, in the words of Srila Rupa Gosvami, utpata (disturbances)
- If our attachment is transferred to the Lord's service, we progress. Srila Rupa Gosvami prayed to the Lord that he would be as naturally attracted to the Lord's service as young men and young women are naturally attracted to each other
- If the color change takes place due to excessive jubilation, the hue turns red. Because such change of color is so rare, Srila Rupa Gosvami does not further discuss this point
- If you simply do as I am doing, not avoiding anything which may have to be done for pushing on Krsna's movement, remaining always stuck up very tightly to the footsteps of Rupa Gosvami, then without any doubt you will remain always fresh and enthusiastic
- In a song by Narottama dasa Thakura it is stated: rupa-raghunatha-pade ha-ibe akuti, kabe hama bujhaba se yugala-piriti

- Meditating on the lotus feet of Sri Rupa Gosvami, I have thus explained the sixth verse

- Narottama dasa Thakura says that, "These six Gosvamis, anyone who accepts these six Gosvamis as authority, spiritual masters, I am his servant." Therefore we Gaudiya Vaisnava, we are known as Rupanuga Vaisnava, following the footsteps of Rupa Gosvami
- Narottama dasa Thakura says: When shall I develop a mentality of service toward Sri Rupa Gosvami, Sanatana Gosvami, Raghunatha dasa Gosvami and the other devotees of Lord Caitanya and thus become eligible to understand the pastimes of Sri Radha & Krsna?
- Next, Rupa Gosvami states that devotional service is transcendental to all material considerations and that it is not limited to any particular country, class, society or circumstance
- No one could otherwise understand this meaning. I can therefore guess that previously You bestowed upon him Your causeless mercy

- Not only Visvanatha Cakravarti but also Srila Rupa Gosvami treated them (the eight transcendental symptoms of bhava) very critically
- Now Sri Rupa Gosvami proposes to describe devotional service in practice
O
- O infallible one, my (Srila Rupa Gosvami) ambition is such, for You are very merciful to your surrendered devotees
- O learned devotees, I am by nature ignorant and low, yet even though it is from me that the Vidagdha-madhava has come, it is filled with descriptions of the transcendental attributes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
