- Krsna consciousness is the utmost necessity for all divisions of society. Every chapter and every conclusion of Bhagavad-gita aim toward Krsna consciousness. Sri Krsna, who is speaking Bhagavad-gita, is always stressing devotion to His personal Self
- Krsna continued, "I have purposely agitated you (Rukmini) by speaking many words not applicable to your character, but I am surprised to see that not a pinch of your devotion to Me has been deviated from its fixed position"
- Krsna heard the appealing voices of His friends, and casting a pleasing glance over them, He began to answer. By speaking through His eyes, He impressed upon His friends that there was no cause for fear, and He assured them, "Don't worry"
- Krsna is speaking as the spiritual master of Arjuna, and Arjuna says, "Whatever You are saying I accept." Read it like that - not: "I like this, so I accept it; this I don't like, and so I reject it." Such reading is useless nonsense
- Krsna is speaking Bhagavad-gita. People are accepting, because that is real knowledge. And nobody reads other books so carefully. And this Bhagavad-gita is read all over the world
- Krsna is the original speaker of sruti, or Veda knowledge. Therefore Vedic knowledge is called apauruseya. It is not manufactured or concocted by some mental speculator
- Krsna is very strict. But the devotees are very lenient. Krsna doesn't want to speak even with demons. But the devotees are so kind, they go to the demons and pray, Kindly hear. Kindly hear about Krsna
- Krsna joked, Why have you (the bumblebee) come to disturb My brahmana friend Madhumangala? You want to kill a brahmana. This is not good. All the boys would laugh and enjoy, speaking such joking words while eating

- Krsna said, "I will speak to you (Arjuna) Bhagavad-gita, and you will understand the mystery of it because you are My devotee." This is the qualification
- Krsna said, "Kindly forbid Her from this devious policy of putting Her face near Mine." When Krsna was speaking like this, the friends of Radharani could not check their laughter. This is an instance of ecstasy in conjugal love

- Krsna says that "I spoke this philosophy of Bhagavad-gita to Vivasvan." Vivasvan is the name of the person who is predominating in the sun globe. We have to know from Krsna that sun globe is not vacant. When the king is there, the kingdom is also there
- Krsna says that "I spoke to sun-god." So by hearing this sruti, we understand that there is also life and there is also system, the government, the chief executive
- Krsna says that millions of years before He spoke this yoga to the sun-god, and we do not know how many millions of years before that He spoke it to someone else
- Krsna says that you have got intelligence. "You consider. I have spoken to you. Now you use your intelligence and do whatever you like." Krsna does not deny your intelligence. There is no meaning
- Krsna says that, "This philosophy of Bhagavad-gita I spoke to the sun-god, some forty millions of years ago." How He remembers? Because He does not change His body. This is simple fact
- Krsna says, "Please hear attentively what I shall speak to you, for transcendental knowledge about Me is not only scientific but also full of mysteries"
- Krsna says, jnanam te 'ham sa-vijnanam (BG 7.2): "I'll speak to you about jnana." Everyone is in ajnana and falsely thinking that he is some very important person. This is ajnana
- Krsna says. So how I can believe Krsna? Krsna says ukta, it is already settled up by authorities. Ukta. This is parampara system. Krsna also says ukta. Krsna does not say that "I speak," no. Ukta, there is Vedic evidence. Where it is? In the Upanisads
- Krsna says: "I spoke." So it is millions and millions, at least, four hundred thousand millions of times, millions of years ago, according to the calculation of Manu. So Krsna said millions and millions of years ago this Bhagavad-gita He remembers
- Krsna selected Arjuna: "My dear Arjuna, I shall speak to you the whole philosophy which I instructed to sun-god." "Why You are prepared to instruct me?" Krsna says, bhakto 'si, - Because you are My devotee
- Krsna speaking in the Seventh Chapter, mayy asakta-manah. We have to increase our attachment for Krsna. So there is process. If you actually serious, you can take the process, and you will be successful
- Krsna spoke all these words five thousand years ago. Apart from taking account of millions of years, because nature's law is the same, so even in those days, five thousand years ago, you'll find the demonic people as they are now
- Krsna spoke Bhagavad-gita to Arjuna not for Arjuna. He came for everyone, because He loves everyone. Everyone is son
- Krsna spoke Karma-mimamsa philosophy, "Different grades of material happiness and distress, comforts and disadvantages of life, are different results of different kinds of activities, from either the past or present life"
- Krsna spoke Karma-mimamsa philosophy, "Every living being is born according to his past karma and leaves this life simply taking the result of his present karma"
- Krsna spoke Karma-mimamsa philosophy, "Everyone is born in different types or species of life according to his past activities, and he gets his next birth according to the activities of this life"

- Krsna was speaking this Bhagavad-gita, He was not less than ninety years old. He remained on this earth for 125 years. So Arjuna was His contemporary friend and cousin-brother
- Krsna went on speaking, "After all, your husbands are householders, and without your help how can they execute their prescribed duties"
- Krsna went on speaking, "Because you are My pure devotees, not only your relatives but also people in general, as well as the demigods, will be satisfied with you"
- Krsna went on speaking, "But at least if you utter the name of Balarama, they may prefer to give in charity to a ksatriya rather than to Me, because I am only a vaisya"
- Krsna went on speaking, "But because they are not attracted by the names of Krsna and Balarama, you had better not ask them for anything in My name. Better ask for some charity in the name of Balarama"
- Krsna went on speaking, "Engage yourselves in sacrificial activities and in the service of your husbands and household affairs so that your husbands will be pleased with you and the sacrifice which they have begun will be properly executed"
- Krsna went on speaking, "One who does this actually knows his self-interest, because rendering transcendental loving service unto Me, without motive or restriction, is actually auspicious for the living entities"
- Krsna went on speaking, "Your coming here to see Me, neglecting all the restrictions and hindrances of relatives, fathers, brothers and husbands, is completely befitting"
- Krsna's pastimes cannot be imitated. Krsna married over 16,000 wives and kept them nicely in 16,000 palaces, but an ordinary man cannot even keep one wife nicely. It is not that Krsna just spoke so many wonderful things; He also acted wonderfully
- Krsna's speaking is there in the Bhagavad-gita. You simply repeat what Krsna says. You become spiritual master. It is not very difficult
- Krsna's words can immediately solve all of the questions and problems of the world. Although He does not speak very long, each and every word from His mouth contains volumes of meaning
- Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead and the ideal spiritual master, spoke the philosophy of Bhagavad-gita to Marshal Arjuna, His disciple. Here is a perfect example of the relationship between the spiritual master and the disciple
- Krsna-katha means narrations about Lord Krsna. There are two krsna-kathas: narrations spoken by Krsna and narrations spoken about Krsna
L
- Ladies and Gentlemen, the President, I am very much thankful to you that you are eager to hear about what Krsna wants to speak. Krsna is accepted as the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Lord Krsna first spoke Bhagavad-gita to the sun-god some hundreds of millions of years ago. We have to accept this fact and thus understand the historical significance of Bhagavad-gita, without misinterpretation, on the authority of Krsna. BG 1972 Preface
- Lord Krsna in His personal form is here (BG 7.24) speaking before Arjuna, and still, due to ignorance, impersonalists argue that the Supreme Lord ultimately has no form. BG 1972 purports
- Lord Krsna is the actual compiler of Vedanta, and whatever He speaks is Vedanta philosophy
- Lord Krsna said, "I've never heard of a Deity's walking from one place to another." The brahmana replied, "That is true, but how is it that You are speaking to me, although You are a Deity"
- Lord Krsna spoke thus, "All glories to the assembled sages and ascetics! Today we all feel that our lives have become successful"
- Lord Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, speaks about the topmost system of yoga in the Sixth Chapter of Bhagavad-gita. There He has explained the hatha-yoga system
- Lord Sri Krsna appeared again and taught Arjuna the truths of the Bhagavad-gita. At that time the Lord spoke this verse (BG 4.11) to His friend Arjuna
M
- Maharaja Ambarisa always engaged his mind in meditating upon the lotus feet of Krsna, his words in describing the glories of the Lord, his hands in cleansing the Lord's temple, and his ears in hearing the words spoken by Krsna or about Krsna
- Maitreya Muni was greatly attached to Him (the Lord), and he was listening in a pleasing attitude, with his shoulder lowered. With a smile and a particular glance upon me, having allowed me to rest, the Lord spoke as follows
- Many scholars, many so-called saintly persons, they have misinterpreted the words of Bhagavad-gita. They did not allow to speak Krsna
- Many times they give me very great credit that I have done wonderful. Yes, I have done wonderful. But what is the reason? Because I am not a rascal. I speak what Krsna has spoken. That's all. Very easy
- May we inquire from you (swan) whether Krsna is happy? We want to know. Does He remember us? We know that goddess of fortune is serving Him alone. We are simply maidservants. How can we worship Him, who speaks sweet words but never fulfills our desires
- My dear Krsna, formerly, when You were staying in Mathura, You sent Uddhava to teach Me speculative knowledge and mystic yoga. Now You Yourself are speaking the same thing, but My mind doesn't accept it
- My dearest Srimati Radharani, please hear Me (Krsna). I am speaking the truth. I cry day and night simply upon remembering all you inhabitants of Vrndavana. No one knows how unhappy this makes Me
N
- Narayana does not speak personally, but Krsna, or Vasudeva, does, as in Bhagavad-gita for example. Therefore, to follow the direction of Bhagavad-gita means to surrender unto Krsna, and to surrender in this way is the highest perfection of bhakti-yoga
- No one has to discover the nature of the Lord. It is already spoken by the Lord Himself in the Bhagavad-gita especially and in all other Vedic literatures generally. We have simply to accept them in toto and abide by the orders of the Lord
- Nobody is trying for becoming perfect, and there is no perfect; then who will understand? And still, He is speaking. Still Caitanya Mahaprabhu is coming. So our endeavor should be there. Our endeavor should be. If one man can take it up
- Not only did he (Yudhisthira) follow the principles, but he also got approval from his old uncle, who was experienced in political affairs, and that was also confirmed by Lord Krsna, the speaker of the philosophy of Bhagavad-gita
O
- O descendant of Bharata, at that time Krsna, smiling, in the midst of both the armies, spoke the following words to the grief-stricken Arjuna. BG 2.10 - 1972
- O mighty conqueror of enemies, there is no end to My divine manifestations. What I have spoken to you is but a mere indication of My infinite opulences. BG 10.40 - 1972
- O Narada, this science of God, Srimad-Bhagavatam, was spoken to me in summary by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and it was spoken as the accumulation of His diverse potencies. Please expand this science yourself
- O Partha, I speak to you the truth. The gopis are My helpers, teachers, disciples, servants, friends and consorts. I do not know what they are not to Me
- O Uddhava, in the lotus millennium in the days of yore, at the beginning of the creation, I spoke unto Brahma, who is situated on the lotus that grows out of My navel, about My transcendental glories, which the great sages describe as Srimad-Bhagavatam
- Of course, Arjuna knew everything, but for our education he said to Krsna, - Krsna, we are contemporaries, and since we were born at practically the same time, how can I believe that You spoke this philosophy so long ago to the sun-god
- One may say that Krsna, according to Mahabharata, lived 5,000 years ago, and this being the case, there is no possibility of His having spoken Bhagavad-gita to the sun god so many millions of years before
- One may say that, "What qualification I have got that I can become guru?" That only qualification, yare dekha, tare kaha 'krsna' upadesa. You don't require to manufacture any upadesa. Whatever is there already spoken by Krsna, you distribute it
- One should not misunderstand by wrong interpretations that the Lord spoke only four verses and that therefore all the rest of the 17,996 verses (in Srimad-Bhagavatam) are useless
- One who drinks the water of the Ganges attains salvation, so what to speak of one who drinks the nectar of Bhagavad-gita? Bhagavad-gita is the essential nectar of the Mahabharata, and it is spoken by Lord Krsna Himself, the original Visnu
- One who thinks that Krsna is an ordinary person and misguides the reader by claiming that it is the impersonal Brahman within Krsna speaking, is doing the greatest injustice. BG 1972 purports
- Only if You go there in this form of Gopala and speak the words from Your beautiful face will Your testimony be heard by all the people
- Out of sentiment, Arjuna was thinking, "Why should I fight against my own kinsmen?" That reluctance to fight was due to Arjuna's illusion, and just to eradicate that illusion, Sri Krsna spoke the Bhagavad-gita to him
R
- Radharani said: "My dear friend, just see how Krsna has nicely composed songs and how He dances and speaks funny words and plays on His flute, wearing such nice garlands"
- Read Bhagavad-gita rightly, as it is spoken by Krsna, not foolishly interpreting nonsensically, but as it is, as it is... Call the spade a spade
- Real jnana, as will be explained here, is to receive from Krsna. So Krsna is giving knowledge in the Bhagavad-gita. He'll speak in later chapters that "The real jnana is to surrender unto Me." This is real jnana
S
- Sandipani muni continued, "You (Krsna and Balarama) are above all blessing, yet it is my duty to bless You. I therefore give You the benediction that whatever You speak will remain as eternally fresh as the instructions of the Vedas"
- Sanjaya said to Dhrtarastra: The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna, while speaking thus to Arjuna, displayed His real four-armed form, and at last He showed him His two-armed form, thus encouraging the fearful Arjuna. BG 11.50 - 1972
- Sanjaya said: O King, speaking thus, the Supreme, the Lord of all mystic power, the Personality of Godhead, displayed His universal form to Arjuna. BG 11.9 - 1972

- Sanjaya said: Seeing Arjuna full of compassion, his mind depressed, his eyes full of tears, Madhusudana, Krsna, spoke the following words
- Similarly, if you want to study Bhagavad-gita, then you have to become a devotee. Simply academic educational qualification will not help you, because it was spoken to the devotee
- So if we accept these words of Krsna, then we become actually Vedanti. Without understanding these things as spoken in the... Bhagavad-gita is the summarized Vedanta or Vedic philosophy
- So the first step Krsna took in educating Arjuna... The Bhagavad-gita is now being actually being spoken, bhagavan uvaca. The first basic principle is explained to Arjuna that "You do not know anything. Don't talk just like a learned man."
- So whatever is spoken by the Supreme Lord Himself is certainly the most authoritative. So far as we are concerned, we do not make any alterations in the statements of Krishna. Therefore we are also authority
- So you are reading Bhagavad-gita throughout the whole life, but when the Lord speaks something which does not tally with our imagination, we reject it. That is not the process of Bhagavad-gita reading
- Some less intelligent men say that Bhagavad-gita is not meant for householders, but such foolish men forget that Bhagavad-gita was explained to Arjuna, a grhastha (family man), and spoken by the Lord in His role as a grhastha
- Some people present interpretations of Bhagavad-gita, but we should present the words as they are spoken by Sri Krsna
- Sometimes people gives me very much credit that I have done wonderful throughout the whole world. But I do not know that I am wonderful man. I know one thing: that I am speaking what Krsna has spoken. That's all. I am not making any addition, alteration
- Spiritual master does not manufacture his own ideas. That is not spiritual master. Spiritual master is he who speaks exactly the words which is spoken by Krsna. That is the secret. You cannot change
- Spiritual master is he who speaks exactly the words which is spoken by Krsna
- Statement by Uddhava: "Speeches of Krsna are very pleasing to my heart"
- Sukadeva Gosvami said: The Supreme Personality of Godhead (Krsna) having spoken to the two demigods (Nalakuvara and Manigriva), they circumambulated the Lord, who was bound to the wooden mortar, and offered obeisances to Him - SB 10.10.43
T
- Tattvatah means in truth, not superficially. If you understand Krsna in truth, as He is speaking Himself about Himself. If you simply accept Krsna, what He says, if you follow, then you become perfect and you become fit for going back to Godhead
- Texts 22 and 23 (of CC Adi 3) were spoken by Lord Krsna in the Bhagavad-gita (BG 4.7-8). Texts 24 and 25, which follow, are also from the Bhagavad-gita - BG 3.24, BG 3.21
- That clear conception of soul you can have from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna. He is speaking to Arjuna, and that is recorded by Vyasadeva and which is presented before us as the Bhagavad-gita
- That original spiritual disciplic succession (coming from Krsna to the sun-god) was broken, but now we can receive the same message by studying Bhagavad-gita. In Bhagavad-gita Krsna speaks to Arjuna just as in a far distant time He spoke to the sun-god
- That qualification (purification from devotional service) we have to attain, then Krsna, purusottama, will speak from within, just like He spoke from within of Brahma: tene brahma hrda adi-kavaye - SB 1.1.1
- The all, the essence of all sastra is Bhagavad-gita. All the, Garbha Upanisad. All the Upanisad, Vedic sastra, is spoken in a very short, cream, Bhagavad-gita, and the Supreme Personality speaking Himself. So we should take it very seriously
- The atheists, who consider Krsna an ordinary man, may in this way (when Krsna Himself speaks about Himself) come to know that Krsna is superhuman, that He is sac-cid-ananda-vigraha - the eternal form of bliss and knowledge. BG 1972 purports
- The best and ultimate authority is Krsna, for He is our eternal well-wisher, and He always speaks for our benefit
- The BG is the spoken message of the Lord Himself recorded by Vyasadeva, and the SB is the transcendental narration of the activities of the same Krsna, which alone can satisfy the hankering desires of the living being for eternal peace and liberation
- The Bhagavad-gita is spoken by the Lord so that human society can be perfectly organized from all angles of vision - politically, socially, economically, philosophically and religiously
- The Bhagavad-gita is the narration or the philosophy on the science of God, spoken by Krsna Himself. Srimad-Bhagavatam is the narration about the activities and transcendental pastimes of Krsna. Both are krsna-katha
- The Bhagavad-gita is the perfect theistic science because it is directly spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krsna. BG 1972 purports
- The Bhagavad-gita was spoken by Krsna Himself, and it contains all descriptions of jnana-yoga, karma-yoga, dhyana-yoga and bhakti-yoga
- The Bhagavad-gita was spoken to Arjuna, not to any Vedantist philosophical speculator. In the beginning of the Fourth Chapter, you will note that Krsna says, "I am speaking to you that ancient system of yoga." It is stated, - unto you
- The Bhagwatam we have is the same Bhagwatam. It was originally spoken in four slokas by the Supreme Personality of Godhead to Lord Brahma. All these descriptions are in my books and I request you to read them very carefully as you are a learned scholar
- The bona fide guru is he who advises his disciples exactly in accordance with the principles spoken by Krsna. The bona fide guru is he who has accepted Krsna as guru. This is the guru-parampara system
- The Deity, although apparently stone, may speak with a devotee. There are many instances in which this has happened
- The description of Vrndavana forest as given herewith (in SB 10.13.5) was spoken by Krsna five thousand years ago, and the same condition prevailed during the time of the Vaisnava acaryas three or four hundred years ago
- The disciplic succession holds that the Vedas were uttered by Lord Krsna to Brahma, by Brahma to Narada, and by Narada to Vyasadeva and then by Vyasadeva to Sukadeva Gosvami and so on. So there is no difference between the versions of all the authorities
- The easiest process for understanding the subject matter of self is to accept the statements of the Bhagavad-gita spoken by the greatest authority, Lord Krsna, without being deviated by other theories. BG 1972 purports
- The essence of Vedic knowledge is Bhagavad-gita because the Supreme Personality of Godhead is speaking personally. Take advantage of it. Apply it practically in life and be happy, not only in this life, but the next life
- The eternal position of Krsna is revealed in Bhagavad-gita. There Krsna said to Arjuna, "In the past, millions of years ago, I spoke this philosophy of Bhagavad-gita to the sun-god." Arjuna appeared not to believe this
- The evidence that Vedic knowledge is free from the defects of mistakes, illusions, cheating and imperfection is that it is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Janardana, and has thus been followed from time immemorial, beginning from Brahma
- The Gita is krsna-katha, or topics of Krsna, because it is spoken by the Lord, and the Bhagavatam is also krsna-katha because it is spoken about the Lord
- The gopis said, "When Krsna was spoken to in this way, He might have told Radharani, 'All right, better get on My shoulder.' But immediately Krsna must have disappeared"
- The great sage Narada spoke as follows: "My dear Lord (Krsna), You have spoken about the cosmic manifestation created by the Supreme Lord, but I know that You are the all-pervading creator"
- The great sage Narada took a comfortable seat, & Krsna worshiped him with all paraphernalia, as required for the regular reception of a saintly person. While trying to satisfy Naradaji, Lord Krsna spoke the following words in His sweet and natural voice
- The history of Battle of Kuruksetra where this Bhagavad-gita was spoken, that is a historical fact
- The Krsna conscious persons are representative of Krsna because a Krsna conscious person will not speak anything nonsense, beyond the speaking of Krsna. That is the difference. Other nonsense, rascal, they will speak beyond Krsna
- The Krsna consciousness movement is based on Bhagavad-gita as it is, as spoken by Lord Krsna, and for those who are engaged in this movement, there is no question of uncertainty
- The Krsna consciousness movement is based on Srimad-Bhagavatam and Bhagavad-gita. Because Srimad-Bhagavatam was spoken by Sukadeva Gosvami and Bhagavad-gita was spoken by Krsna, there is no difference between them
- The less intelligent are more interested in stories than in philosophy, and therefore the philosophy of the Vedas is included within the Mahabharata in the form of the Bhagavad-gita, spoken by Lord Sri Krsna
- The Lord (Caitanya) began to speak on Vedanta philosophy as follows: Vedanta-sutra is spoken by the Supreme Lord Himself. The Supreme Lord, in His incarnation as Vyasadeva, has compiled this great philosophical treatise
- The Lord (Krsna) Himself also speaks of pure, uncontaminated religion when He says, sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja: "Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me." - BG 18.66
- The Lord spoke Bhagavad-gītā, and thereby Arjuna achieved self-realization, and even today anyone who follows the path of Arjuna can also attain the same benefit as Śrī Arjuna. The scriptures are meant for this purpose
- The Mayavadi may argue that the individuality spoken of by Krsna is not spiritual, but material. Even accepting the argument that the individuality is material, then how can one distinguish Krsna's individuality? BG 1972 purports
- The message of God is just like Bhagavad-gita or Bible, any, as you like. Just try to hear, san-mukharitam vartam, from realized soul. Just like the truths of Bible were spoken by Lord Jesus Christ or Krsna
- The Personality of Godhead personally spoke about Himself to Arjuna in the Gita. How can you say that somebody, by his thinking, by speculation, can say something about God that is more important than what is being said by Krsna Himself
- The religious system which I am speaking. - What is that? Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam (BG 18.66), this religion. So if one is neglectful, does not like this proposal, then what is the result? Aprapya mam - He'll never get Me
- The sadhu, saintly person, beginning from Vyasadeva, Narada, down to many acaryas, Ramanujacarya, Madhvacarya, Visnu Svami, and latest, Lord Caitanya, in this way, they have accepted, - Yes. It (Bhagavad-gita) is spoken by Krsna
- The Seventh Chapter of Bhagavad-gita is giving us some hint about the absolute world, absolute knowledge. How that knowledge can be attained, that is being spoken by the Absolute, Supreme Person, Krsna. Krsna is the Absolute Supreme Person
- The speaker of Bhagavad-gita is Lord Sri Krsna. He is mentioned on every page of Bhagavad-gita as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Bhagavan. BG 1972 Introduction
- The Supersoul within everyone’s heart speaks not externally but from within. He instructs the devotees in all respects, and that is His way of instruction
- The Supreme Personality of Godhead is completely well versed. Krsna just like says: "Yes, I spoke this philosophy millions of years. I remember; you have forgot." There we have to study, how Krsna's brain is
- The temperature is very, very great (in the sun planet). But still, there are life. Otherwise how Krsna says, imam vivasvate yogam proktavan aham avyayam: "I went there and I spoke to the sun-god"
- The transcendental qualities of Krsna as follows: 07) a wonderful linguist; 8) truthful; 9) talks pleasingly; 10) can speak fluently in all languages; 11) highly learned; 12) highly intelligent; 13) a genius; 14) artistic; 15) extremely clever; 16) expert
- The transcendental qualities of Krsna as follows: 17) grateful; 18) firmly determined; 19) an expert judge of time and circumstances; 20) sees and speaks on the authority of Vedas, or scriptures; 21) pure; 22) self-controlled
- The Vedic knowledge was spoken by the Lord and first heard by Brahma, the first created living being within the universe
- The water of the Ganges is purified because it pours forth from the lotus feet of the Lord. Similarly, Bhagavad-gita is as good as the water of the Ganges because it is spoken from the mouth of the Supreme Lord
- The water of the Ganges, the narrations of His (Krsna's) pastimes and the words spoken by Him are all on the absolute platform, and thus taking shelter of any one of them is equally good
- The whole Bhagavad-gita was spoken just to induce Arjuna to kill the godless, the sinful. That is Bhagavad-gita
- The whole world is full of cheaters and cheated. Because they want to be cheated, there are so many cheaters. They don't want real thing. Here is the real thing: Bhagavad-gita, the Supreme Personality of Godhead speaking personally about Himself
- The word 'vacala' is used to refer to a person who can speak according to Vedic authority, and the word 'balisa' means 'innocent.' Krsna spoke the Vedic knowledge, yet He always presents Himself as a prideless, innocent boy
- The word vacasamrtena is significant. Whenever the Lord speaks, He speaks from the transcendental world. He does not speak from the material world
- There are two important krsna-kathas current in the world - Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam. Bhagavad-gita is krsna-katha because it is spoken by Krsna , whereas Srimad-Bhagavatam is krsna-katha because it narrates about Krsna
- There are two kinds of sruti, or scripture. One is spoken by the Lord, and the other is spoken about the Lord and His devotees
- There are two krsna-upadesa. One krsna-upadesa is what Krsna is speaking personally, Bhagavad-gita. And the other krsna-upadesa, what Vyasadeva is speaking about Krsna
- There are two topics concerning Krsna. Two kinds of topics, actually. One topic is this Bhagavad-gita. It is spoken by Krsna. And the other topic concerning Krsna is Srimad-Bhagavatam. That is spoken about Krsna
- There is a nice statement in the SB regarding Krsna's speaking politely. When Krsna politely bade His father, Nanda Maharaj, to stop the ritualistic offering of sacrifice to the raingod, Indra, a wife of one village cowherd man became captivated
