- A creator must possess an all-pervasive body, as pointed out in the Bhagavad-gita (3.14): Everywhere are His hands and legs, His eyes, heads and faces, and He has ears everywhere. In this way the Supersoul exists, pervading everything
- Acaryopasanam. In the Bhagavad-gita: "One should worship acarya." This is the beginning of spiritual life

- Certainly Bhagavad-gita was never meant for the demonic persons, who would dissipate its value for no one's benefit and would devise all types of interpretations according to personal whims. BG 1972 purports
- Complete practice of yoga means bhakti-yoga; unless one comes to the point of bhakti-yoga, or surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one's yoga practice is not complete. This same point is corroborated in the Srimad Bhagavad-gita

- Demigod worship is discouraged in BG: Men of small intelligence worship the demigods, & their fruits are limited and temporary. Those who worship the demigods go to the planets of the demigods, but My devotees ultimately reach My supreme planet - BG 7.23
- Demigods depend on the protection of Visnu; they are not independent. Bhagavad-gita, therefore, condemns the worship of demigods because there is no need of it and clearly states that only those who have lost their sense go asking favors of the demigods
- Don't neglect Bhagavad-gita or Bhagavata as ordinary books. You must be very careful. As you take care of the Deities, you should take care of the books also

- Elsewhere in Bhagavad-gita the Lord says, urdhvam gacchanti sattva-sthah: (BG 14.18) if one becomes a very good person - in other words, if one is in the mode of goodness - he may be elevated to the higher planetary systems

- Here (SB 3.21.3) we are speaking of Svayambhuva Manu, but in Bhagavad-gita we hear about Vaivasvata Manu

- In the Vedic language it is said asamordhva. Asama. Asama means "no equal." Nobody is equal. Urdhva. Urdhva means "greater." Asamordhva. In the Bhagavad-gita also this language is used. Nobody is equal or greater than God
- In this (SB 5.6.11) connection, one may see Bhagavad-gita, Chapter Sixteen. where there is a description of the downfall of the asuras - BG 16.16 and BG 16.23

- Just like Bhagavad-gita is smrti. Bhagavad-gita, the purpose of Bhagavad-gita is the same as the Vedas, but it is not directly Veda; therefore it is called smrti
- Just like Bhagavad-gita. Everything is there already. We have to take it, accept it, and apply it practically in life, and distribute the knowledge throughout the whole world. This is the mission of India

- Kings or executive heads of all states must know the codes of Lord Krsna (generally Bhagavad-gita & Srimad-Bhagavatam) and must act accordingly in order to fulfill the mission of human life, which is to make an end to all miseries of material conditions
- Krsi-go-raksya-vanijyam vaisya-karma svabhavajam (BG 18.44). Those who belong to the third level of human society, namely the mercantile people, must keep land for producing food grains and giving protection to cows. This is the injunction of BG
- Krsna always protects the living entities in many ways. He comes Himself, sends His own confidential devotees, and leaves behind Him sastras. Why? It is so that people may take advantage of the benediction to be liberated from the clutches of maya
- Krsna exhibits His powers as isvara, or the supreme controller, when He assures His devotee in Bhagavad-gita (BG 18.66): "Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear."
- Krsna has maintained spiritual individuality all along; if He is accepted as an ordinary conditioned soul in individual consciousness, then His Bhagavad-gita has no value as authoritative scripture. BG 1972 purports
- Krsna is so kind that He gives His book, Bhagavad-gita, He sends His representative, He comes Himself as Lord Caitanya to deliver us; He sends Lord Jesus Christ. So, so many arrangement, but we don't take advantage. We are so fool and sinful
- Krsna is violent to demons, and to attempt to prove that Krsna is not violent is ultimately to deny Krsna. As such explanations of the Bhagavad-gita are absurd
- Krsna knows that unless Arjuna becomes affected family-wise, how Bhagavad-gita will be there? Therefore although Gudakesa, Arjuna, is above darkness, still, by the will of Krsna, Hrsikesa, he played just like ordinary man, affected with family affection
- Krsna says in BG 9.26: If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it
- Krsna says in Bhagavad-gita (BG 9.4), maya tatam idam sarvam jagad avyakta-murtina: "In My impersonal feature I pervade this entire universe." Thus the avyakta-murti, the impersonal feature, is certainly an expansion of Krsna's energy
- Krsna says in Bhagavad-gita, aham sarvasya prabhavah: (BG 10.8) "I am the source of birth of everything, including Brahma and Lord Siva and the living entities
- Krsna says in the Bhagavad-gita, "Beyond Me there is no more superior power." So Vyasadeva is offering his obeisances to the person above whom there is nobody
- Krsna says in the Bhagavad-gita, raso 'ham apsu kaunteya (BG 7.8): "I am the taste in the water." Now, this taste in the water is perpetual. When Krsna was physically present or Krsna is not physically present, this is a perpetual fact. Is it not?
- Krsna says, in Bhagavad-gita, First of all surrender, and then I will take charge of you and free you from all reactions of sinful activities
- Krsna says, mattah parataram nanyat (BG 7.7). Aham sarvasya prabhavo (BG 10.8). So if we have to believe Bhagavad-gita, then Krsna is the Supreme. That's all
- Krsna-katha, or topics regarding Krsna, are transcendental, and there is no satiation in hearing such topics. Bhagavad-gita is important on account of its being krsna-katha, or speeches delivered by Lord Krsna

- Manu spoke the secret of BG to his son Iksvaku. So now that system is lost. Kalena mahata: by the great power. Kala means time. Time has got his influence, very great influence. Time's business is, whatever you make, time will try to kill it. That's all
- Many other sastras are there, but Bhagavad-gita is the beginning of spiritual life, A-B-C-D. So even if we do not learn the A-B-C-D of spiritual life, how our life will be successful in the mission?
- Material enjoyment on the gross bodily platform is discouraged throughout Bhagavad-gita: matra-sparsas tu kaunteya, sitosna-sukha-duhkha-dah, agamapayino 'nityas, tams titiksasva bharata - BG 2.14
- Material nature and purusa means the enjoyer. Six question. Of course, Bhagavad-gita is, each and every word and letter, is full of knowledge. But these six inquiries, if actually can understand the six items, he becomes the perfect knower

- Mudha means rascal. It is said in the Gita, Only rascals think of Lord Krsna as an ordinary person. They do not know what Lord Krsna's position is or what His transcendental potencies are
- Mundane scholars can always discover novel meanings in Bhagavad-gita, and in this way they may certainly exhibit their mundane erudition - but this is all just the play of maya. The real essence of Bhagavad-gita cannot be transmitted through such persons

- Of course if one thinks that Bhagavad-gita and the Hare Krsna mantra are part of the Hindu system and doesn't want to accept them because of this, he can nonetheless attend the Christian church and sing there
- One cannot do anything unless he is enlightened and empowered by the Lord. The Lord says in Bhagavad-gita mattah smrtir jnanam apohanam ca

- Para-prakrti is the living entity, who is found in great numbers throughout the material world. He is indicated in Bhagavad-gita (BG 7.5) as jiva-bhutam
- People should accept one God, Krsna; one scripture, the Bhagavad-gita; and one activity, devotional service to the Lord. Thus people may live happily upon this earth and combine to produce sufficient food
- People should come to the understanding that, "These sinful activities I shall not do." But he is forced to do, impelled by the quality of passion and ignorance. That is answered in the Bhagavad-gita
- People should learn BG and accept the Supreme PG, Krsna, as the Lord of everything; they should practice satisfying the senses of the Supreme Lord instead of trying to satisfy their own senses. Training in KC will help one be promoted to Vaikuntha
- Prakrti, this material nature . . . in the Bhagavad-gita . . . it is working under the direction of the Supreme Lord. It is not blind. So there is some direction. It is very simple to understand

- Rahasyam, the transcendental secrecy of Bhagavad-gita, that secret will not be opened to a so-called scholar or academic educated. It must be taken from the (indistinct) authorized person, evam parampara praptam (BG 4.2), by disciplic succession
- Ramakrishna Mission, if I say it frankly, they distorted the Bhagavad-gita to the greatest extent. Yes. Because they presented somebody as Rama-Krsna, as God

- Sastra means that you cannot throw it away. Nobody has thrown Bhagavad-gita at any time, anywhere, because it is perfect. Nobody has thrown Bible - because they are perfect in knowledge
- Sastra says, Vedanta says, sastra-caksusah. Pasyanti jnana-caksusah (BG 15.9) in the Bhagavad-gita. Pasyanti jnana-caksusa: eyes should be enlightened by knowledge. That is real eyes. These blunt eyes is not eyes. Therefore guru is worshiped
- SB is written by Vyasadeva after writing four Vedas and the eighteen Puranas, the 108 Upanisads, then Vedanta-sutra and Mahabharata, in which Bhagavad-gita is set up. So after compiling all these Vedic literatures Vyasadeva was not satisfied
- Simply breathing deeply and doing some exercises is not yoga as far as Bhagavad-gita is concerned. A whole purification of consciousness is required
