- Because everything is Krsna's energy, Krsna can manifest Himself from any energy. Therefore, when we worship Krsna in a form made of something - of earth, water or something like that - that is Krsna. You cannot say that it is not Krsna

- Because you have no faith in God, you are thinking that you will die out of hunger. That is not the position
- Better we should try to stay in this determination than to accept the sannyasa order by changing the dress and then again we fall down. That is not very good. There are instances like that, but it is not at all good. We should not trust the mind
- Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, it is not meant for Indians only. That is not the idea. But nowadays everything is seen through national consciousness. But in the BG you will not find anything as so-called nationalism or communism. That is spiritualism
- Bhakti does not mean sentimental fanaticism. That is not bhakti. Bhakti means to engage all your senses for the satisfaction of the proprietor of the senses. That is called bhakti
- Bhakti means the activities of the liberated stage. That is not material things. So this Krsna consciousness movement is little difficult to understand because these activities are for the persons who have already attained moksa
- Big, big professors, they say that "This body is everything. After the body is finished, everything is finished." But that is not the fact. That is the first spiritual education to understand, that "I am not this body." Aham brahmasmi: I am spirit soul
- Birth can be stopped? They cannot think of. They're trying in a different way - contraceptive method or killing the child. That is not the way of stoppage. No. Nature's law is so strong that if you kill the child in the womb then you'll be also killed
- Both sides are there in your country, bhoga and tyaga. But in neither of the paths you'll be happy, because that is not your proper position. You cannot enjoy or you cannot renounce. Actually the whole thing belongs to Krsna
- Brahman realization is also very high position. It is not ordinary thing, that "I am not this body. I am Brahman." This realization is not ordinary realization. It is also realized after purification of the mind. But that is also not sufficient

- By atonement we may be free from the infection, but again we do it. Karmana. Then again. . . That is called karma-kanda, fruitive activities. Because the bija, the seed of my sinful desires, that is not cured
- By confessing you are freed, then why shall you do it again? It requires little intelligence. It does not mean that because by confessing I become freed, I shall go on continuing this and again confess and become freed. No. That's not good
- By false propaganda if you study something, that is not studied. You have to see the result. Phalena pariciyate

- Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, yei krsna-tattva-vetta, sei 'guru' haya (CC Madhya 8.128): "Anyone who knows the science of Krsna, he can become guru." That is our mission. That is not my mission; that is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu says, amara ajnaya: "On My order." That is the crucial point. One does not become spiritual master by his own whims. That is not spiritual master. He must be ordered by superior authority
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu's preaching and teaching, their effect you have to follow. Then our life will be successful. We don't manufacture ideas. That is not wanted

- Convince means you have to convince me with your reasoning power or presentation. That is not very difficult thing. Two lawyers are fighting in the court. They are convincing. Now the judgement is there. So that fighting means for convincing
- Cow is our mother. Why? She is supplying milk. You are drinking milk. So you are killing cows? Oh, that's not good, killing mother
- Creator must be sentient. Without brain, without creative power, how there can be creation? Where is your argument? No. That is not. These are false arguments. Therefore Vyasadeva gives you information that He (God) is sentient, in full knowledge

- Daksa, being puffed up with his power, wanted to deprive Lord Brahma and Lord Siva of participation in the sacrifice, understanding that if one satisfies Visnu, it is not necessary to satisfy His followers. But that is not the process
- Devotees like to increase, that is very nice, but this whimsically changing, now one way, now another way, now this schedule, now that one, this is not good
- Dharma is sometimes translated as "religion," but that is not exactly the meaning. Dharma actually means "that which one cannot give up," "that which is inseparable from oneself
- Dharma means constitutional. Dharma does not mean, as it is stated in some of the English dictionary, "a kind of faith." Faith may be blind. That is not dharma

- Dhira means one who is not disturbed. That requires training. In great dangerous position, one is not disturbed, that is not ordinary thing. Therefore the word has been used, dhira. Dhira and adhira
- Dhrta-vrato mrduh, mild, gentleness. This is human life, not to live like cats and dogs. That is not human life. Real human life, the picture is here. One must be trained up to all these qualification
- Did I say to anyone that "You are Christian. You become a Hindu"? No, never I said. That is not my business
- Disciple means discipline. Without discipline there cannot be any spiritual progress. Therefore our system is to follow the authority or our superiors, no that we can independently question, not this is right and this is wrong. That is not the way
- Does the Lord discriminates by engaging one in His devotional service and another in sense gratification? If that were true, it would be an incongruity on the part of the Supreme Lord, but that is not the actual fact
- Don't allow the mind to go away from Krsna and because we cannot fix up our mind sitting in one place in Krsna, that requires very high training. To sit down in a place and always fix up in Krsna the mind, that is not very easy job
- Don't chant Hare Krsna maha-mantra with any motive. That is not good. Even if you chant with motive, that will take little time to become pure devotee, but better without any motive. As a matter of duty, you chant regularly
- Don't manufacture anything. That is not good. You'll manufacture today something; next day you'll manufacture something; then you'll go astray. Don't do that
- Don't manufacture your meditation. Just like there are so many meditators. They have manufactured their own way of meditation. That is not recommended, anusmara. Anu means "Follow. You become thoughtful, but taking the instruction from higher authority"
- Don't manufacture your ways of Pleasing God. Don't manufacture. Suppose I want to please you. Then I shall ask you, "How can I serve you?" Not that I manufacture some service. That is not pleasing
- Don't think that a little happy life for ten years or twenty years is the solution of your problem. That is not solution. Real solution is different
- Don't waste time for unnecessary questions and answers. But we have to do something sometimes. But that is not the way - unless one surrenders fully, pranipatena, and renders service
- Draupadi prayed, "Krsna, if You like, You can save." So this is the position. So long we try to save ourself, then that is not very good. If you simply depend on Krsna, "Krsna, if You save me, that is all right. Otherwise kill me, as You like"
- Due to some of his past misdeeds he has been born in that way. But that is not the prime responsibility. The prime responsibility is that everyone is open to accept Krsna consciousness
- During lecture time, if we don't care to hear or we do other things or take rest, that is not very good sign

- Either you nicely eat or wrongly eat, but you have to fulfill your bell(y) and satisfy your hunger. That is not advancement of civilization. To eat nicely, to sleep nicely, to defend nicely and to have sexual life nicely
- Even great philosophers who are trying to elevate themselves in the self-realization platform, if that sort of philosophy is acyuta-bhava-varjitam, without Krsna consciousness, that does not look well. That is not first-class philosophy
- Even suduracarah, even not well behaved but unflinching faith in Krsna, sadhur eva sa mantavyah, he is sadhu. Don't consider about his misbehaviors. That is not consideration. That will be corrected. Because he has taken to Krsna consciousness
- Even the best apartment in India, that is not a good apartment for America. This is simply my mental concoction
- Even the Christian, religious persons, they also open hospital to give relief to the patient. So that is not the program. The program is why he should fall sick and come to the hospital? Precaution is better than cure

- Everyone is going on under the stringent laws of material nature. We cannot help. The same example: if a man is diseased, you can try to bring to him nice physician, nice medicine, but that is not guarantee that he will be cured. That depends on Krsna
- Everyone is hankering, working so hard day and night, and there is fire brigade, 'gon-gon-gon-gon'. It is going on. (laughter) This is life. That is not happiness. Here is happiness. Come here
- Everyone is seeking satisfaction, atyantiksu. Everyone is struggling for existence for the ultimate happiness. But in this material world, although they are thinking by possessing material wealth they will be satisfied, but that is not the fact

- Everyone knows that Deity is made of brass metal. But that is not metal. Because we cannot see Krsna in any other way at present, therefore Krsna has appeared as made of metal
- Everyone knows that he has got a father. That is not difficult. Anyone who is in this material world, in material world or spiritual world, there is a father
- Everyone requires protection. That is nationalism. Not that crippled ideas: "I am good, my brother is good, and everyone is bad." That is not nationalism
- Everyone should remain in jubilation. That is wanted. You cannot make depressed. No, that is not good

- Everyone, grhastha, can come and place one musti attar. That is not difficult for him. He has got children, family. He is consuming five kilos of attar daily. Out of that, little, if it is put into the temple, he does not feel any burden
- Everything belongs to Krsna. Why you are claiming yourself, as nation or individual or community? That's not proper. Just like pickpocket and a gang, gangsters, organized rogues, thieves. It does not change the quality

- Feel, you may wrongly feel because you are imperfect. That is not good argument. Our argument is that the message is coming from the most authorized personality; therefore it is perfect. And we receive guru-parampara. That is our process
- Fifth class means candala, pancama. Candala, they eat pigs and dogs - dog-eaters, pig-eaters. Just like even at the present moment, there are different classes of men, and pig-eaters or dog-eaters, at least dog-eaters, that is not very much common
- First class means ahaituki, without any cause. Not that "I shall go to church, I shall go to mosque, I shall go to temple for asking something from God." That is not first class. That is good in this sense, that these rascals have at least come to pray
- First of all guru must be bona fide, not a bogus guru. The guru, as specified by Caitanya Mahaprabhu, that is not very difficult, who is guru? Caitanya Mahaprabhu said - He is guru. One who is strictly following the instruction of Caitanya Mahaprabhu

- Grhastha asrama, then retired life, vanaprastha. Although grhastha asrama is allowed, but not for all the time, that up to the death. No. That is not allowed
- Guru means who is above the siddhas. Krsna-tattva-vetta. Yei krsna-tattva-vetta, sei guru haya. One cannot become guru unless he knows krsna-tattva. Not ordinary man. The yogis, the karmis, the jnanis, they cannot become guru. That is not sanctioned
- Guru never manufactures idea that "You do this and give me money, and you'll become happy." That is not guru. That is another process of earning money

- If somebody says, "God is partial, that He takes special care of His devotee," no, that is not partiality. Just like a gentleman - in the neighborhood, he loves all children, but when his own child is in danger, he takes special care
- If someone does go and preach, taking all risks and allowing all considerations for time and place, it might be that there are changes in the manner of worship, but that is not at all faulty according to sastra
- If something mystic or magic has to be shown, the devotee does not take any credit for that magic, because the magic is done by Krsna for the sake of devotee. So he doesn't require to learn the art of magic to cheat the people. That is not
- If spiritual master says something which is not in the sastra, or scripture, that is not good. Of course, sometimes we cannot understand; but that is the principle. Similarly, a saintly person also, cannot disregard the regulative principles of sastra
- If the murderer thinks that, "You are very conservative. I wanted to kill you and you did not allow," that is not conservative. That is self-preservation, that is not conservative
- If the priest says, "The scientist speaking against religion; therefore he should be hanged," so that is not good government. Government must see that whether the scientist is speaking the truth. That sense must be there
- If the woman does not agree with the man, and the man treats the woman as his servant, that is not good
- If there is actually any prospect for selling our pictures put up in this modern artistic way, then I have no objection for putting pictures in this way for selling them. But if that is not possible, then I think we should not waste time in this way
- If we accept a material body, then all the miserable conditions that we are undergoing with this body, we have to accept it. This is not pessimistic view of life, but this is a fact. Only responsible persons, they can understand
- If we act from the material platform, even in the modes of goodness, that is also not solution of my life. But even, even in the spiritual, from the spiritual platform, if we act which apparently may seem to be acts of passion, that is not reactionary
- If we approach God for some material benefit, for personal sense gratification, that may break at any time. So that is not real love. Real love is without cause
- If we have got unflinching faith and devotion to the lotus feet of Krsna, then we can automatically become niskincana, liberated, developed in economic condition. That is not important thing for a devotee. They come automatically

- If we study Bhagavad-gita as a literary treatise and then throw it away, that is not faith
- If we take the shelter of the so-called bluffers, then that is not Vedanta. People do not know anything and they can be bluffed and cheated by anyone. That is the... And now they should learn from this Krsna consciousness movement what is Vedanta
- If we want to worship Krsna for some purpose and another, some purpose, that is not ananya-bhak. His su-duracara will not be accepted. But if he sticks to Krsna only, then his su-duracara will be excused

- If you become always engaged for sense gratification, go on working, working, working, then go to the restaurant, eat, drink and make your body agitated, then find out liquor and woman, what is this life? This is not life. This is animal life
- If you become envious to other living entities and if you become friend of particular living entity, that is not good qualification
- If you become very good moralist or very religious, following all the rules and regulation, that is good but that is not spiritual. Spiritually, far above
- If you bring from here and there some men and fill up, that is not good thing. This is a training institution, to become devotee
- If you can earn money, you can make a good bank balance, that does not mean that you will get bodily comfort. That is not. That is already fixed up, according to your karma. So don't waste your time for improving bodily comforts
- If you do not agree with Krsna's desire, if you want to enjoy your own desire, then also, Krsna is also pleased, He will supply you the necessities. But that is not very good. We should agree to Krsna's desires
- If you don't accept the instruction, what is the meaning of surrender? Simply by offering obeisances, falling flat for the time being, that is not surrender
- If you give up the injunction of the revealed scripture, you consider something as God, that is not God. You consider something as religion, that is not religion. If you become abhorrent to the injunction of the sastras, then, you'll never get happiness
- If you have taken a wife for grhastha life, why are you neglecting? That is not Vaisnava. Vaisnava means he is very much responsible, and if he is householder, then he must be responsible

- If you love one girl, if you love one boy, that is very nice. That is natural. That is not unnatural. But don't change that love. Be combined permanently

- If you put yourself in the waves of natural inclination, that is not human life. You have to restrict. The whole human life is meant for learning restriction. That is human life. That is perfect Vedic civilization
- If you remain nondevotee, you cannot convince others. That is not in your power. Therefore the nondevotee class of men, they cannot understand God, they cannot convince others about God
- If you remain unclean within the heart, simply by washing your external body and cleansing your cloth, that is not complete cleanliness. That may be called hygienic, but real cleanliness is internally and externally
- If you simply follow the footsteps of Arjuna, if you simply try to understand Bhagavad-gita as Arjuna understood, then your study of Bhagavad-gita is complete. That is not difficult
- If you simply go to the holy places and take bath in the water and finish your business... No. That is not recommended. Tirtha, going to tirtha means to find out a learned saintly person and take knowledge from him. That is tirtha

- If you think that you have discovered atomic energy to defend yourself, oh, that is not advancement of human civilization. The defending measure, that's all
- If You think, my dear Krsna, now we are well established, we have got our kingdom back, so everything is nicely done, so You want to leave us, that is not a very good proposal. Because we are not free as yet
- If you try to understand in a different way, if you want to give a different interpretation of Bhagavad-gita, that may be a manifestation of your scholarship, but that is not Bhagavad-gita. By your scholarship, you can manufacture some idea
- If you want to feel happiness by your these blunt material senses, that is not happiness. Happiness is beyond your material senses. Atyantikam. That is real happiness. Real happiness means it will never end

- In connection with your using your efforts to make television shows, no, that is not important now. Don't waste time in this way. Better to have nice festivals like Rathayatra festivals
- In future, everyone is susceptible to fall down. If he does not carry the principles strictly that proneness is there. But that is not consideration. What he is at present, that is consideration

- In His svayam-rupa, in His personal feature, He always remains at Vrndavana, and He is just like a cowherd boy. That is His real feature, Krsna. The Krsna in the battlefield of Kuruksetra, that is not the real feature of Krsna
- In India there are many rascals who think that without being born in a brahmin family nobody can become brahmin. That is not the verdict of sastra

- Ma grdhah kasya svid dhanam. Be satisfied what God has given you. This is pandita. Not that making plan, "I am big lawyer, making plan how to grab others' money." That is not pandita
- Mad-yaji. "You worship Me (Krsna). You offer your obeisances unto Me." Persons who are in poor fund of knowledge, they think, "It is too much. Krsna is demanding too much. It is sophistry." No, no. That is not sophistry. That is the real position
- Maha-bhava, the ecstasies, that is not to be imitated by us, but to be aware of this fact that how maha-bhagavata, maha-bhava, they treat with Krsna

- Marriage is no barrier. I told you that there are four different orders of spiritual life - brahmacari, grhastha, vanaprastha and sannyasa. So after brahmacari life, one can marry. That is not obligatory
- Material advancement cannot make you happy. It may be for a few days, if somebody is very poor, and if he all of a sudden gets millions of dollars, he may feel happy, "Now I have got so much money." But that happiness is not ultimate. That is temporary
- Material life means enjoyment. Enjoyment is not real enjoyment. Real enjoyment is spiritual enjoyment. Spiritual enjoyment, that is with Krsna. That is not in the material world
- Material starvation may be there, but actually that is not a problem because there is sufficient arrangement for maintaining this material body. Real starvation is of the soul. The soul is not getting spiritual food
- Material wealth is not sufficient qualification to become a devotee to approach the Lord. Does it mean if we become poor then we can approach the Supreme Personality of Godhead? No. That is also not a qualification
- Mayavadi philosopher says that as soon as we become liberated, we become one with the Absolute. No, that is not fact
- Mayavadi philosophers cannot understand these transcendental forms of the Lord, and being disappointed, they say that the Supreme Lord is impersonal. But that is not a fact; whenever there is form there is a person.
- Maybe by a scientific process one or two men can reach some planet, but that is not the general process. The generally accepted process for transferral to other planets is the practice of the yoga system or the jnana system
- Maybe your character is less than an animal's, though you have a degree from the university. "Never mind. You have become a learned man." No - that is not accepted
- Men with a poor fund of knowledge only accept the history of the world from the time of Buddha, or since 600 B.C., and prior to this period all histories mentioned in the scriptures are calculated by them to be only imaginary stories. That is not a fact
- Mental speculators. They write poetries and utopian theories, "This philosophy, that philosophy." In this way they satisfy the mind. But that is also not happiness. Mental happiness
- Mithya means false. Whatever God has created, that is not false, everything
- Modern civilization is in the opinion that if they can improve their material condition of eating, sleeping, mating and defending, that is advancement of civilization. But that is not advancement of civilization
- Mukti means when there is no more working of the subtle body also. This death, this annihilation of this gross body, that is not mukti, because the subtle body will work, and subtle body will carry you to the next gross body
- My creating so many centers, big, big temples, that is not my primary duty. My primary duty is to write books. Therefore I am going on still. These are coming automatically. Maybe this is the secret of my success
- My first business is to give the devotees the proper knowledge and engage them in devotional service, so that is not very difficult task for you, I have given you everything, so read and speak from the books and so many new lights will come out

- Now, artificially, they have made such a plan that if you can possess some papers written only - hundred dollars, five hundred dollars, fifty dollars - then you are rich. But actually that is not wealth
- Now, say, I'll live eighty years. Now I am seventy-one. So after nine years I'll have to change this body. Sure. There is nobody can, by scientific process, can stay here. No. That is not allowed. You have to change your body
- Nowadays they (the people) have manufactured so many objective (of meditation), but that is not authorized. The authorized is that you have to concentrate your mind upon the form of Visnu known as Aniruddha. That is the real meditation
- Nrsimha-deva - one thing for Hiranyakasipu, one thing for Prahlada. That is not God's discrimination, that is natural. Krsna says: samo 'ham sarva-bhutesu (BG 9.29): "I am equal to everyone." Otherwise, if He's not equal to everyone, how He can be God?

- Of course in the material world the mode of goodness is accepted as the best, and one can be promoted to the higher planetary systems by being on the sattva-guna platform. However, that is not perfection
- On account of strong habit, if he fails sometime, that is excused, forgiveness, not that willful committing sin and ask for forgiveness. That is not allowed. In common affairs we do not see
- On the platform of jnana-kanda, one may give up the objects of ku-visaya and su-visaya. But that is not the perfection of life. Perfection is transcendental to both jnana-kanda and karma-kanda; it is on the platform of devotional service
- One cannot be luxurious at the expense of others. That is not allowed
- One devotee may be proud that his process of service is the best. That is not inglorious. This is called transcendental competition. Everyone should feel proud of his particular type of devotional service
- One does not become spiritual master by his own whims. That is not spiritual master. He must be ordered by superior authority. Then he's spiritual master
- One had better pray for material desires to the Supreme Lord (although that is not pure devotion), and he will thus achieve the desired result
- One has to see light inside and outside. That is real light. If the light is checked by some material condition, that is not absolute light. That is electric light
- One is not happy, but he's thinking, "I am happy." And they are trying to become happy in so many other ways. But that is not the way of seeking happiness
- One may be elevated to the heavenly planets or may realize himself as Brahman, but that is not the end of realization. One must realize the position of the Supreme Personality of Godhead by bhakti-yoga; then real perfection of life is attained
- One may be suffering from disease, from fever, and the temperature may come down to normal, 98.6 degrees. So he is now normal, but that is not the cure
- One must learn how to control. Controlling the senses, this is civilization. To become cats and dogs, that is not civilization. Dog civilization, cat civilization, hog civilization, camel civilization, this is going on
- One Russian professor said: "Swamiji, after this life, there is no . . . everything is finished." But that's not the fact. That is the defect of modern education. There is life. Otherwise why there are so many varieties of life
- One teacher can manage hundreds of students of different categories. This is organization. Not that "Everything I have to do. I cannot teach anybody to do it," that is not intelligence. Intelligence is that employ other to help you
- One who is not devotee, he has no good qualifications. If he's still under the distresses of this material world, that is not very intelligent question
- Only a few come to Krishna, and all of them are mahatma - simply because they have come to the right place, Krishna. That is not by chance, but due to their past pious deeds. No one can approach Krishna without being purified, so this is the process
- Ordinary person must be physically engaged. That is not physical, that is also transcendental. Always busy in some business of Krsna consciousness
- Other paths, such as the path of jnana and the path of karma, are not very profitable. Pious activities can elevate one to the higher planetary systems, and by speculative knowledge one can merge into the Brahman existence, but that is not real profit
- Other spiritual happiness derived from impersonal Brahman effulgence or localized Paramatma connection . . . because that is not complete connection, complete relationship with the Supreme Brahman
- Our activities are conditioned, not free. But you can attain a life of freedom, life of unlimited energy, unlimited happiness, unlimited bliss. There is possibility. This is not story or fiction
- Our bread is provided, whether we go to church or not. That is not a problem, for no one is dying in the streets of starvation, nor do we find a bird, beast, or even an ant dying of starvation. Food is there, and one need not bother about it
- Our business is to go back to the spiritual world, not that we remain in the material world and change body from bad to worse or worse to good. That is not our business
- Our dear lord, it is your occupational duty to rule over your citizens. That is not a very wonderful task for a personality like you, who are so affectionate in seeing to the interests of the citizens, because you are full of mercy
- Our love for Krsna is dormant. It is within us, but because we have no information of Krsna, therefore we are reposing our love to something which is frustration. That is not the object of love. Therefore we are frustrated

- Our occupation must be honest. Everyone should adore our members as honest. If we do something which is deteriorating to the popular sentiments of the public in favor of our movement, that is not good
- Our process of Vedic knowledge is how to surrender, not that I hear and I reject it. That is not the way. That is another rascaldom. First of all find out the person where you can surrender
- Our real purpose is God-realization. That we are missing. That chance is in the human form of life. So if people are not educated to this goal of life, that is not helping the country or the society or the human being
- Our senses are imperfect, and with all this paraphernalia, when we want to teach, that is not teaching; that is cheating. Because I am imperfect, how can I be teacher? That is not possible
- Our subject matter is not material things, that somehow or other you get a car and a good apartment and a good wife, then all your problems solved. No. That is not solution of problems. The real problem is how to stop your death

- Para-upakara. Our India is not meant for exploiting others. Doing good to others, that is India's mission. Our teachers, our acaryas, do not teach us, "Go and exploit others and bring money" - British Empire. This is not India
- Pariprasnena means by sincere inquiries. Not only surrender; you must be intelligent enough to enquire. Not that when something is heard, and there is no question. No. There must be some question
- Past life, by our pious activities or impious activities, we have got a different type of body, here or in higher planetary system. That's all right. But that is not solution of my problem. The real problem is janma-mrtyu-jara-vyadhi
- People are not interested for liberation. They want to become religious for material benefit. But that is not the real purpose of life
- People are surprised sometimes that "These people do not work, do not take any profession, simply chant Hare Krsna. How they live?" So that is no question
- People are trying to go to the moon planet, that is an ambition. But they are trying to fulfill the ambition wrongly. That is not the way, that we manufacture some machine and by force we enter into the moon planet. That is not possible
- People have manufactured so many dharmas, dharma without the principle of God consciousness. So, according to Vedic principle, that is not dharma
- People may say, to satisfy his friend, Arjuna has accepted Him (Krsna) as param brahma. But that is not the fact. Arjuna gives evidences that, Not only I, but the great authorities like Vyasa, Narada, Asita, Devala, they have also accepted You as the SPG
- People say so much about me, that I have done some wonderful thing. But I say that I am not a magician. I'm not a magician. My only credit is that I am presenting Krsna as He is. That's all. I am not diluting Krsna. That is not my business
- People try to understand, that this Krsna consciousness movement, is Hindu movement: "Krsna is one of the Hindu gods." But that is not the fact. Krsna is God. God is God. God cannot be Hindu God, cannot be Muslim God, cannot be Christian God
- People want to be satisfied with little benefit, with little benefit. No, that is not our mission. We want the supreme benefit
- Personally one can understand how much he is advanced in spiritual life. Spiritual life does not mean that a sannyasi is smoking and drinking tea, one gallon of tea. That is not spiritual life
- Prahlada Maharaja, he was very much tortured by his father because he was a devotee. That is the function of the non-devotees: to tease the devotees. That is not very new thing
- Prakrti, nature, will offer the body, and there are so many varieties of body. So one should know at least what kind of body I'm going to get next. That is intelligence. And if he becomes other than human being, that is not very good proposal
- Progress means to make progress in religious concept of life. That is progress. Not, that is not progress, material comforts, that is not progress. Material comforts according to the body, that is already settled up
- Purification, simply externally rubbing soap and cleansing the coat and shirt, that is not purification. Internally he must be pure

- Radharani is so beautiful that Krsna becomes enchanted. That is spiritual sex. That is not ordinary. Therefore the attraction of Radha and Krsna is not ordinary thing
- Raghunatha dasa Gosvami, he was fasting, but he was not weak. That fasting. And he who will fast artificially and become weak, "I cannot work," that is not required. That is called markata-vairagya
- Rajo-guna, tamo-guna - directly distress. And sattva-guna, there is little taste of happiness, but that is not complete happiness. The complete happiness is that sattva-guna without any touch of rajo-guna and tamo-guna. That is transcendental
- Real education is how to solve the problems of life - birth, death, old age - and how to go back to home, back to . . . that is education. This is not education. This is simply waste of time
- Real happiness, that is not felt by blunt material senses. So what is that sense? That is purified senses. When our senses are purified, tat-paratvena, for the sake of Krsna, when our senses are employed for the sake of Krsna, that is purified senses
- Real love begins when you try to give God. Everyone is trying to take from God, "Oh father, give us our daily bread." This is not pure devotee. This is good because he has approached God, but this is not devotion
- Real problem, which very much disturbing us, that we, all of us, we do not want to die, but the science could not give us any formula assuring that "There is no more death." That is not possible
- Real sound is coming from the spiritual world. It is simply just like gramophone. The sound is coming originally from the person; the gramophone is reproducing. That is not the original source of the sound
- Real subject matter - what will happen to the soul - that is real, important. But whole world, they do not know what is the important platform. All rascals, they are concerned with this body. That is not wonderful; that is natural
- Recently there is a book, Chemical Evolution. He wants to prove it, that by combination of chemicals the life has come in. That is not the fact. The fact is, life has come from life
- Regarding dishonest means being used I have never advised or taught anyone like that. That is not my idea
- Regarding general state of affairs at Amsterdam temple, I can understand there is some disturbance among you, but that is not to be taken very seriously
- Regarding the sannyasis convincing men within the temple that they should leave and go with them on their parties, that is not at all good. I have never approved of this action
- Regarding travelling, a Sannyasi's name is Parivrajakacarya, that is the beginning of Sannyasa. In the beginning one is ordered not to stay more than three days at a place, but at the Paramahamsa stage, one can stop moving, but that is not compulsory
- Regarding your feelings of burning impatience, these things are very explicitly explained in the Nectar of Devotion in the chapter on ecstasy. These are symptoms of ecstasy, that is not bad
- Regarding your proposal that recommendations for initiations should be approved by the GBC members, that is not a good idea. Such recommendation is for the local President to make from first hand observation
- Regarding your proposal to open one store, that is not a very good proposal. Our devotees cannot work in that way. Better they are preaching and selling books door-to-door
- Religious principle means to surrender unto God and nothing more. But that's all. That is the real principle of religion. Religion without God consciousness, that is no religion, at least according to Bhagavad-gita
- Repetition of the glories of Krsna is not a literary weakness. It is said that at a time of bewilderment or wonder or of great ecstasy, statements are repeated over and over. That is not a flaw. BG 1972 purports
- Rsabhadeva says that this human form of life is not meant for working so hard like cats and dogs. That is not recommended. Ayam deha. But the material world, people are so enchanted that working day and night they think I am enjoying
- Rupa Gosvami, their giving up family life was meaningful. But if somebody, out of poverty, he comes to Vrndavana to solve the capati problem, that is not Rupa Gosvami

- Sanatana-dharma, or Vedic dharma, is being disobeyed, distorted, and misrepresented, it has come to be misunderstood as "Hinduism." That is a fake understanding. That is not the real understanding
- Sannyasa means that, that "I shall live with the minimum necessities of life and simply devote..." That is sannyasa. "I shall become a sannyasi and enjoy all material facilities" - that is not sannyasa
- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya said, "My dear Sir, You have delivered the entire world, but that is not a very great task. However, You have also delivered me, and that is certainly the work of very wonderful powers
- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya said, "Please accept my invitation for lunch for one month." The Lord replied, "That is not possible, because it is against the religious principles of a sannyasi"
- Sastra cannot be changed. "Circumstantially, it will be changed, seasonal changes." No. That is not sastra. Sastra means it is perpetual
- Sastra means it is for all the time, not that sastra was meant in the past for something else, and now something else. That is not the fact. That means, sastra does not change. The time, place and atmosphere, according to that, everything is the same
- Sastra says, na grham grham ity ahuh: "Simply a house is not grha." There must be the housewife. That means wife. Grhini grham ucyate. In Hindi this word is used, garbhali means if there is no wife, that is not grha
- Scholars may give their own interpretation of Bhagavad-gita, analyzing it according to their own whims, but that is not Bhagavad-gita. This is the point that Sri Krsna is stressing, and a student of Bhagavad-gita should note it
- Seva means service. You cannot challenge. You approach such person whose instruction you shall receive. You can inquire submissively, but you cannot challenge. That is not allowed in Vedic system
- Simply atonement, or giving fine for some misdeed, that is not sufficient. One should be awakened to his knowledge about his responsibility
- Simply by thinking, "I have become liberated," and I am handicapped by so many bad habits, that is not liberation. That is simply mental concoction. Real liberation is bhakti-yoga
- Simply by trying to cover our sufferings by artificial means, that is not solution. That is ignorance. The suffering can be solved by enlightenment of spiritual life, spiritual bliss. That is the way
- Simply superficially if we understand Krsna that: Krsna was born of the father & mother, Devaki and Vasudeva, He was born in Mathura & then played with the gopis and He taught something on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra - that is not sufficient knowledge
- Simply talking or dealing, that is not mixing
- Simply thinking that "I am now spiritually realized; I am the Supreme," this is not pure. So Lord Caitanya says, vastutah buddhi 'suddha' nahe: "That sort of conception is not purified intelligence. That is still contaminated intelligence"
- Simply to come to our normal condition. That is the definition of bhakti also. Real mukti means to be situated in bhakti. That is mukti. Mukti . . . Simply to understand that "I am Brahman," that is not mukti
- Since the holy name and Krsna are nondifferent, the members of the Krsna consciousness movement not only chant the holy name of the Lord offenselessly, but also do not allow their tongues to eat anything that is not first offered to the SP of Godhead
- Sisya I have several times explained, sas-dhatu. Who voluntarily accepts the ruling of a person, he is sisya. And otherwise, "You go on talking whatever nonsense you can. I'll do my own business," that is not sisya
- Siva means "auspicious," and devotees of Lord Siva gradually come to the platform of spiritual identification, but that is not all. Auspicious life begins from the point of spiritual identification. But there are still more duties
- Smoke is, although indication of the fire, but it is not fire. So similarly, so-called meditation, so-called spiritualism, concocted idea, there is some touch of spiritual life, but that is not spiritual life. One should understand. It is called abhasa
- So acaryavan puruso veda. Without following the acarya, if we simply theorize, that is not good
- So anything understood by manipulating our imperfect senses, that is not real knowledge. So our process of understanding real knowledge is to take it from the person who has the real knowledge

- So far your question is concerned, should the Jagannatha deity be bathed with water, that is not necessary. They should be washed once in a year, that is sufficient, 15 days before Rathayatra
- So first of all there must be a strong impulse to inquire about the transcendental subject matter. Then one requires a guru. Not that, to follow a fashion, that one has guru
- So if unconsciously induced by others he commits some sinful activity, that is excused. But if he consciously does something sinful activity, that is not excused
- So Krsna is life. He's not dead stone. Therefore the conclusion is: from life, life has come and matter has come. Not that matter has come from life. Oh, what is that? Life has come from matter. That is not the conclusion. That is wrong conclusion
- So Krsna will give you opportunity to remain naked, become animals, trees, like that. So that is not our aim of life. Our aim of life, the human form of life, is meant for understanding the Absolute Truth
- So long you do not find the spiritual master is doing against the principles of sastra or guru, then if you give up the company of spiritual master, that is not good for you. That is your downfall
- So long you require some material facilities, you'll get material facilities, but that is not solution of the problems of your life
- So many so-called incarnation of God, they come for money, for beautiful wife, and many followers. So that is not wanted. That is not religion. Religion means without wanting all these things
- So Mayavadi philosophers, when they come to know that this is maya's place, so therefore they want to make it varietyless, formless. This is their theory. So, but that is not the solution. This is maya
- So reappearing, that is natural. That is not wonderful thing. Everyone is reappearing
- So the Absolute Truth is not without varieties. That is spiritual variety. That is not material variety. But the Mayavadis they are seeing the Absolute Truth from distant place, far away, they think that in the Absolute Truth there is no variety
- So this Krsna consciousness movement is a great science of understanding what is God. Simply with vague idea, "There is God," that is not sufficient
- So why the low-grade man cannot be offered tri-danda if he is qualified? If he has dedicated everything to Krsna, why he should be prohibited? No. That is not the sastric injunction. Sastric injunction is for anyone
- So you are reading Bhagavad-gita throughout the whole life, but when the Lord speaks something which does not tally with our imagination, we reject it. That is not the process of Bhagavad-gita reading
- So you may go to the highest planetary system or in the heavenly planets; you can have better standard of life than this earthly planet or you can live for long, long years; but that is not the solution of your problems

- Some scholars recommend that knowledge and renunciation are important factors for elevating oneself to devotional service. But actually that is not a fact
- Some time must be taken, but unlimited time, unlimited expenditure, that's not good. Ten percent. You produce books. Take ten percent. You may have more than 1,500. You may have more than that
- Somebody is working very hard. Nobody is interested to work very hard for others. That is not the material philosophy. Everyone wants his own satisfaction, means sense gratification
- Somebody is worshiping his mind, somebody is worshiping his country, somebody is worshiping his something else, something else, or somebody is worshiping some other demigods also. But that is not recommended in the sastra, at least in the Bhagavad-gita
- Someone may possess full knowledge of religion but still not be kind to all living entities. In someone, whether human or demigod, there may be renunciation, but that is not the cause of liberation
- Sometimes a salesman can say something extraordinary in order to sell something, but that is not fraud. Just like they are selling this oil, saying that if you rub it on your bald head, hair will grow

- Sometimes the Christians, they say the Lord Jesus Christ sometimes ate fish. Is not that? Might have done so. One thing is, Christ is powerful. Under certain circumstances, even if he had eaten some fish, that is not fault for him
- Sometimes the Mayavadis, they say that any name, either of Hari or any other demigod, is equal. No. That is not. That is namaparadha
- Sometimes the question is put before us: "You ask us not to eat meat but you are eating vegetables. Do you think that is not violence?"
- Sometimes water becomes hard, very hard, ice. So that is not the natural position of water. Artificially, on account of excessive cold or by artificial means the water becomes solid. But the real position of water is liquidity
- Spiritual happiness, is ananta, unending. Foolish creatures are enamored by the beauty of matter and think that the enjoyment it offers is real, but actually that is not real enjoyment
- Spiritual master does not manufacture his own ideas. That is not spiritual master. Spiritual master is he who speaks exactly the words which is spoken by Krsna. That is the secret. You cannot change
- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is here (in CC Madhya 3.106) telling Advaita Acarya that it is not befitting for a sannyasi to accept nice beds to lie on or to chew cloves and cardamom and have his body smeared with sandalwood pulp
- Sri Narada advised Srila Vyasadeva to become absorbed in transcendental meditation on the Personality of Godhead and His activities. Srila Vyasadeva did not take notice of the effulgence of Brahman because that is not absolute vision

- Suppose a sannyasi begins in philanthropic work, some hospitalizing or opening educational institution. That is nice, but these things are being done by the government and many philanthropic persons. That is not the duty of a sannyasi
- Suppose one is diseased; many expert physician treating him, nice medicine is offered. Is that guarantee for his life? No. That is not guarantee. If Krsna neglects, in spite of all these good physician and medicines he will die
- Suppose you are initiated as a brahmana. That is not finish, that "Now I am initiated. I have got sacred thread. I can do all nonsense thing." No. You must act as a brahmana. Then you are brahmana. You always remember that
- Suppose you are my rival. So I wanted to know your secrecies, so I make some mechanical arrangement. That is not fault. Everyone does so

- Tattva means truth. You have to understand Bhagavan in truth. So that, to understand in truth, that is a science. That is not sentiment. Vijnana
- Temple we have to construct. But for that construction, temple, they will pay. But for residential and other buildings and maintenance we have to arrange. That's not a bad proposal. It is very nice proposal. They are giving us land, giving us a temple
- Thank you for serving steadily and taking responsibility in Krishna Consciousness. The spiritual master cannot be approached for solving marriage problems. That is not the business of the guru
- That (giving charity to beggar) may still be goodness. But in your Bowery Street, they give some charity, and immediately he (a beggar) purchases one bottle of wine & drinks & lies down flat. So that is charity. But that is not goodness; that is ignorance
- That (how to make water from hydrogen and oxygen) is secondary. That is not very difficult
- That (learn to control the senses) is the purpose of human life. Human life is not meant for imitating the life of cats and dogs and hogs. That is not human life
- That (not chanting attentively) is not a fault. Suppose you are trying to do something. Due to your inexperience if you sometimes fail, that is not a fault. You are trying
- That (philanthropic work, some hospitalizing) is not the duty of a sannyasi. A sannyasi, a renounced order of life, his main business is to spread Krsna consciousness, or God consciousness. That is his real business
- That (service minus devotion) is not service, that is business. For example, here in Mayapur we have employed a contractor. That is not service - that is business. Is it not
- That foolish person is killed just like this monkey. The monkey's business was not to imitate the sawman, but he wanted to imitate. The result was that he was killed. So that is not expertness
- That is cultivation of Krsna consciousness. Favorably. Not Krsna consciousness like Kamsa, always thinking of Krsna, how to kill Him. That is not anukulyena. That is not favorable
- That is human life, not that to work hard like hogs and dogs throughout the whole day for find out some stool, where it is. That is not human life. So people are being educated to work very hard. That is not human life
- That is nonsense. Future, that is not science. Trust no future, however pleasant
- That is not a good policy that for preaching work one has to get men from another country. One has to create manpower from the local environment. That is success of preaching
- That is not giving them real satisfaction. That's a fact. This wine, woman and meat-eating, that is not giving them any more satisfaction
- That is not humanity
- That is not our life, to become an impostor. It must be real person. By training, yah sastra-vidhim siddhih, by training under the teaching of a bona fide spiritual master, the sastra
- That is not perfect God conscious. That is partial. Perfect consciousness means full understanding also. That is perfect God consciousness. Yasmin vijnate sarvam evam vijnatam bhavati.This is the Vedic injunction
- That is not so important. Nobody can rise at six o'clock
- That is not very essential. Essential is how to think of Krsna. Krsna says, man-mana bhava mad-bhaktah. He doesn't say that you become vegetarian
- That is not yoga practice, smoking ganja, bidi, intoxication, tea, and he has become a yogi. These are useless, all bogus. Yoga means he has controlled his senses. Yoga indriya-samyamah
- That is the allegation against the sadhus, that they are parasites, dependent on the society, eating at the cost of others. So many accusations. But actually, that is not the fact. Krsnaa has provided food for everyone
- That is the duty of the husband. If wife's a little hair is infringed, he should take steps immediately. That is husband, not that accept wife today and give it up tomorrow. That is not husband
- That is the first step of realization, self-realization. But that is not final. The final realization is that "I am eternal servant of Krsna." That is final realization
- That is the highest perfection of life, to sacrifice everything for Krsna. "Only Krsna should be satisfied." That is Krsna consciousness. But that is not very easy job
- That kind of staunch faith is not very easy. It is for the great personality. Immediately accepts. Krsna says, sarva-dharman parityajya (BG 18.66). Immediately accepts: "Yes." Then sa mahatma sudurlabhah. That is not very easily done
- That one marriage is sufficient. She must remain very faithful to her husband, chaste. That is wanted. Not that "I do not like this husband. I'll change." That is not wanted
- That successful life is there even in the cats and dogs and hogs. The hogs are also laboring very hard. The cats and dogs, they are also for their food. And the sex is there. Everything is there. That is not successful life
- That will be awarded to you by superior judgement, that "This man has done like this; he should get a body like this." That is not in your hand. That is not in your science. The real science is how to stop this business. That is being advised in BG
- The Absolute Truth is scientific knowledge. It is not sentiment - "I accept somebody as God by votes." That is not bhagavat-tattva-vijnanam. One must know what is the definition of God
- The animal is also working very hard for these four principles, and the man is also working very hard. That is common. But that is not security
- The antyajas, the men of the lower classes, are accustomed to stealing, drinking and illicit sex, but that is not considered sinful
- The arca-murti we are serving. It is not that. . . Don't think. . . Arcye visnau sila-dhih. If you are rascal, they will think that "These people are serving a stone statue." The rascals will think like that, but that is not the fact
- The bona fide spiritual master, who has also heard the sruti-mantras, or Vedic knowledge, from his undisturbed acarya, never presents anything that is not mentioned in the Vedic literature
- The Buddhist philosopher, they say, "Ultimately, everything is zero." And the Mayavadi philosopher says, "Not zero, but imperson." But actually that is not fact. There is everything variety and personal
- The Causal Ocean, Visnu is lying there, sleeping within the ocean, and from His breathing the universes are coming out. This is God. Because He is in a sleeping condition, that is expansion of God. That is not original God
- The conception of female God, that is not authorized. Paramah puman yo. So female is prakrti, nature
- The devotee is already a brahmana by action. But that is not the end of it. As referred to above, such a brahmana has to become a Vaisnava in fact to be actually in the transcendental stage
- The educational system must be reformed. Not that godless, no education, secular government, no education of God in the schools and colleges. This is not a very good proposal
- The fanatics, they may fight. That is not love of Godhead
- The followers of a pseudo incarnation may say that they have also seen the transcendental incarnation of God, the universal form, but that is not acceptable. BG 1972 purports
- The foolish persons, they do not take care. They think they are very much advanced, they have no need to attend arati or to play on the mrdanga or cymbal. But that is not fact. So many items are there given by the acaryas
- The greatest contribution to the human society is knowledge. To keep them in ignorance, in darkness, that is not human society, that is cats' and dogs'
- The grhastha means one who follows the rules and regulation of sex life. That is grhastha. Not that simply united, man and woman, and live like animals. No, that is not grhastha. That is called grhamedhi
- The impersonalist wants to attain the impersonal Brahman effulgence of the Lord, but that is not at all congenial to the living sparks, parts and parcels of the Lord. Therefore, the impersonalists again fall down and get material forms
- The injunction is, when you receive somebody, even if you are very poor man, you should offer the guests a comfortable seat and a glass of water. That is not expensive. You can offer anyone a seat: "Please come and sit down here and take a glass of water"
- The intelligent man should know this, that "I want permanent settlement in my life, but that is not being done." Only intelligent man can understand because intelligent means to understand that we are all eternal
- The intelligent man should know this, that: "I want permanent settlement in my life, but that is not being done." Only intelligent man can understand, because intelligent means to understand we are all eternal. Why should we accept this temporary body
- The kings thought that their kingdoms were their personal property. "I have so much property, such a big kingdom," they thought. "I am God. I am the lord of all I survey." But that is not actually the fact
- The knowledge is received, not manufactured. Some people think, "Why should I listen to Him? I can think for myself. I can manufacture something new." This is not the Vedic process of descending knowledge
- The Krsna consciousness movement is not that we are asking everyone to become a sannyasi like me, and give up everything. No. That is not our program
- The law is to kill a human being is murder that is human but if somebody attacks me I kill him that is not murder. So devotee means for his personal sense gratification he will never kill but when there is reason he must kill, that is another thing
- The leaders of such ignorant masses of people may feel very proud of being adored by such a number of dogs and hogs, but that is not very flattering
- The living entity is rotating in the cycle of birth and death, going sometimes to the higher planets and sometimes to the lower planets, but that is not the solution to the problems of life
- The living entity is wandering throughout the entire universe and taking birth in different species on different planets. Thus he moves up and down, but that is not real progress. Real progress is getting out of this material world altogether
- The lower my position is servant, then I am great mahatma. Ordinarily they think mahatma, that "I am on the top, on the topmost platform." That is not mahatma. This is our Caitanya philosophy
- The Mayavadi philosophers say that after Brahman realization, all activities stop, but that is not actually so

- The moving of the cloud may appear to the layman's eyes as moving of the moon, but that is not a fact. Similarly, the moving of the body of a pure devotee is not the moving of the pure devotee
- The mundane wranglers may speculate on the Gita in their own ways, but that is not Bhagavad-gita as it is. Therefore, Bhagavad-gita has to be accepted as it is, from the disciplic succession. BG 1972 purports
- The negative way, to make it zero. That is void philosophy. But actually that is not the case. The case is that you are in trouble on material condition. You get out of this material condition. Then there is real life, eternal life
- The nirvisesavada, with impersonalism and voidism, they are of the same nature. The Buddhist philosopher, they say, "Ultimately, everything is zero." And the Mayavadi philosopher says, "Not zero, but imperson." But actually that is not fact
- The nondevotees may speculate in their specific platform of activities, as politician or as mundane philosopher or mundane scientist, but that is not the fact. The fact should be learned from the devotees of Krsna
- The one Supreme Personality of Godhead reveals Himself to different thinkers as the Supreme person or impersonal Brahman or Paramatma. Impersonalists merge into the impersonal Brahman, but that is not achieved by worshiping the impersonal Brahman
- The perfection of next life is to become free from the laws of material nature. That is the highest perfection. Samsiddhim paramam gatah. That can be possible when you go back home back to Godhead. That is not very difficult at the same time
- The proprietor is Paramatma. I am given the chance to use it, so my senses, so-called my senses, that is not my senses. I have not created my hand. The hand is created by God, or by Krsna, through the agency of this material nature
- The purport of all revealed scriptures is understanding of Krsna. Therefore if a person explains anything that is not Krsna, he simply wastes his time laboring hard without fulfilling the aim of his life

- The real scientific research should be how to stop death. That is real scientific. That we are giving. To find out some medicine for some disease, that is not triumph. Real triumph is how to stop disease
- The rotating, wandering within this material world from one body to another or from one planet to another, that is not advised. That is called samsara
- The ruling of the Supreme Lord must go on. You cannot check it. You cannot avoid it. You can go on with your believe or not believe. That is not the business
- The sacrifice in yajna, recommended, that is not for killing the animal, but it is a testing, how the Vedic mantras are being properly chanted. Because an old animal put into the fire, by Vedic mantras he would come out again with young life
- The same pleasure potency is there in the living being in little quantity, and as soon as they utilize it, it becomes painful. And the same pleasure potency in the spiritual world, Krsna's dancing with gopis, that is not painful. That is pleasing
- The so-called happiness derived from the senses, that is not happiness. That is crude; that is for the fools and rascals. That is not happiness
- The so-called scientist, they are thinking that we are advancing in civilization from the primitive form, transport by bullock cart to motorcar. But that is not actually advancement
- The so-called scientists and philosophers say that this body is everything. They have discovered some cellular theory, this theory... But that is not the fact
- The so-called Vedantists, they want to get out of Krsna. They'll never accept Krsna as the Supreme. That is not Vedantist

- There are many, so many theories for avoiding God consciousness. But that's not very practical. Therefore in the Kali-yuga, it is said, dharma satyam, the truth is neglected, the dharma is neglected. It is reduced
- There are so many rascals who think that with the death of the body, everything is finished. They may think so, but that is not a fact
- There are some theories - that is not fact - that ultimately the Absolute Truth is impersonal
- There are varieties of living entities, but no planet is vacant. That is not the fact. This is rascaldom. They are declaring the planets are vacant; only their father's property here, that is full of living entities. This is nonsense
- There is a misconception about the Hindu religion among people who profess other religions, such as Christians and Muslims, who say that in the Hindu religion there are many Gods. Actually that is not a fact
- There is even a supposedly religious mission that says, "You can manufacture your own way." Yata mata tata patha: "Whatever you think is right, that is right." This is their philosophy. But that is not science
- There is many rascals who come here in your country to preach that, "There is no need of guru. You can become your own guru yourself." That is not Vedic injunction. Vedic injunction is you must go to a guru
- There is no question of economic problem, that one has to become learned to get some service in some big school or college and get some big salary. This is not our aim. Our only aim is how to mold the life of the children to become Krsna conscious
- There is sense gratification. Here when you chant and dance, this is not your sense gratification; this is Krsna's sense gratification

- They (modern scientists) are studying evolution of this matter, organic matter. But actually that is not the fact. The fact is that we, individual soul, that is the real fact
- They (the brahmanas and the Vaisnavas) should be worshiped. When their protection is performed, it is just like worshiping God. That is not exactly protection; it is a duty
- They (the scientists) think that the body is combination of matter and, at a certain stage, these combination of matter develop living symptoms. But that is not a fact. If it is a fact, then the scientists can manufacture with chemicals a living body
- They are accustomed to get up, two o'clock. Because they think "The more we sleep, we enjoy life." Therefore, they are sunyavadi. They want to become zero, sleeping always. Sunyavadi. "Make everything zero." That is called sunyavadi. No, that is not life
- They are misleading people that the skin is everything. That is not the fact. The soul is everything. That they do not understand. They say, "What is this nonsense." They have no idea of religion. For them it is just a decoration
- They are trying to have real peace and tranquillity, no misunderstanding between man to man, nation to nation. But that is not happening. That is not happening. The defect is that in the root is wrong. Everyone's thinking "It is my country"
- They are trying to overcome the control of material nature by so-called scientific method, but that is not the way. You cannot do that
- They may criticize that, "The bhaktas, the Vaisnavas, they have got slave mentality." Some so-called philosopher remark like that. But that is not slave mentality. That is the actual position
- They think that life is nothing but a mixture of these material elements, and at a time the vitality is finished, therefore everything is finished. But that is not the fact
- They think, "Now I have realized that 'I am the same. I am same God. " So this process is called jnana system. So Caitanya says that these jnanis, they artificially think that "Now I have realized myself," but actually that is not self-realization
- They want to cover their ignorance by this theory, "chance." They want to become very intelligent by chance. That is their... That is not the fact. For intelligence you have to learn from a superior person. It cannot be done by chance
- They'll tolerate material egoism, "We are doing this humanitarian service." That they... And spiritual egoism he'll not. That I replied, that this is real egoism, aham brahmasmi. And I'm: "Aham dog asmi." (laughter) That is not very good pride

- This requires knowledge, intelligence that, "If I am eternal," "I am not destroyed even this body is destroyed." Then you should seek after eternal happiness. Why temporary? That is not in your interest
- Those who are after killing animals, they will find some clue that "Here in the Vedas the animal-killing is sometimes recommended." But that animal-killing is not a, I mean to say, instigation that "You go on killing animals"
- Those who are interested in reviving Krsna consciousness and increasing their love of Godhead do not like to do anything that is not related to Krsna. They are not interested in mingling with people who are busy maintaining their bodies

- To please Lord Jagannatha means to go on serving Him to the best of your ability. That love is there, dormant, for Lord Jagannatha. Simply we have to revive it. Not that it is something new. Simply we have to remember
- To understand Krsna in truth, that is not very easy task. That is very, very difficult task. Even the muktas cannot understand Krsna
- To understand Krsna is not easy job, easy job. So one who has understood, "Here is Krsna with Radharani; let me serve," that position is very exalted position. That is not ordinary position

- Trees also live for many years. That is not wanted. To live for living forever, that is wanted. That should be the human endeavor, not this dog race, changing condition from four legs to four wheels
- Trees living for many, many years? Near San Francisco I have seen a forest where there is a tree seven thousand years old. But what is the benefit? If one is proud of standing in one place for seven thousand years, that is not a very great credit

- Understanding of the sunshine is not real understanding of the sun globe or sun planet or the sun god. That is not perfect understanding
- Understanding that "This is not Brahman, this is not Brahman..." That is the way of Mayavadi philosophers. They scrutinize that "This is maya and this is Brahman"; therefore they are called Mayavadis
- UNESCO resolution is going on for the last twenty years, and where is the peace? That is not the way of peace. Here is the peace. Try to establish your lost relationship with Krsna, or God. Then there will be peace
- Unfortunately, at the present moment so-called philanthropists and humanitarians advocate the happiness of humanity at the cost of the lives of poor animals. That is not recommended herein - SB 6.10.9
- Unfortunately, there is no education, there is no knowledge about this throughout the whole world. We are thinking that after annihilation of this body everything is finished. No. That is not the fact
- Unfortunately, we are very, very slow, manda. Manda means bad, fallen, abominable. The whole population in this age, they are very, very fallen, manda. Why manda? They have advanced so much in material comforts. That is not required
- United Nation, they should keep a class of men who should act as brain. Then it will be all right. Without brain, simply legs and hands working, no direction, that is not very good
- Unless one has increased little taste and he's personally eager to accept this chanting process, we should not canvass. That is not our . . . that is an offense
- Unless one is pure devotee, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. By devotional service, if you want material prosperity, Krsna can give you. Krsna can. Whatever you want, Krsna can give you. But that is not pure devotion
- Unless one is svanubhavam, self-realized, life is bhagavata, he cannot preach Bhagavata. That is not... That will not be effective. A gramophone will not help

- Vedas are called sruti. Sruti means this is not experimental knowledge. This knowledge is acquired by hearing, that's all. If you have got nice receptive power through the ear, then your life can be successful. You don't require to use any other sense
- Vedic civilization is very strict. Because the whole aim was how to go back to home, back to Godhead, not sense gratification - eat, drink, be merry, enjoy. That is not the aim of human life
- Vikarma means it is counteractivity. Activity means you have to work legally. That is activity. If you say that "I am very much active in stealing," then that is not excused
- Visvamitra Muni came to Maharaja Dasaratha for help. Visvamitra Muni could kill that demon immediately, but that is not the business of the brahmana. Killing business is for the ksatriya
- Vyasadeva is the writer of Vedanta philosophy, & he has written a comment personally, so that in future, rascals may not misrepresent Vedanta. There are so many bhasyas, but that is not commentary. Real commentary. The author knows what he wants to speak

- War or famine or pestilence, they are meant for purging out all undesirable men. But the demonic principle is so strong that it is not becoming so
- War, if it is fought on principle, on religious principle, that is called dharma-yuddhi. That is not prohibited. But this killing process, unnecessarily, innocent men, that is not dharma-yuddhi. That is irregular fighting
- We accept a certain portion of Bhagavad-gita and reject another portion. That is also not accepted. We must accept the Bhagavad-gita without interpretation, without any cutting, and without our own whimsical participation in the matter
- We are bound up by the laws of nature, but those who are fools, vimudhatma, under false prestige, such person thinks that he is independent. No. That is not. So this is misunderstanding. So this misunderstanding has to be cleaned. That is the aim of life
- We are eternally related with Krsna. At the present moment it is simply forgotten, suppressed. Therefore we are thinking that we have no relationship with Krsna. But that is not the fact. Because we are part and parcel of Krsna
- We are giving a great contribution to the human society, to understand God, or Krsna. This is Krsna consciousness movement. So you can understand God by becoming a devotee. That is not very difficult task
- We are identifying ourself with this body: "I am Indian," "I am Hindu," "I am Christian," "I am brahmin," "I am black," "I am white." These are all designations. This is not my real identity. My real identity is aham brahmasmi, "I am spirit soul."
- We are imperfect. How we can speculate on Krsna? That is not . . . because there are certain persons, jnanis, they want to know. Just like theosophists, they want to know the Absolute Truth by speculation. But that is not possible
- We are making business under the name of love. In the material world there cannot be love because . . . suppose a girl loves a boy or a boy loves a girl. Both of them are actuated by sense gratification. So that is not love
- We are not interested to purchase any land at so high a price. That is not practical
- We are not meant for cheating anyone. We have no business. But to lead one to Krsna consciousness we may say something sometimes. So that is not cheating

- Why they should accept Bhagavata? We are not accepting Bible, so why they should accept Bhagavata? That is no argument. You must present the Vedic knowledge in such a way that they will be obliged to accept: "Yes, it is right."
- Without any scientific knowledge, if somebody says in some religion, for eating meat, that "Animal has no soul. You can kill as many as you like," so that is not dharma
