A
- A bhagavad-bhakta shall never be aprasanna, not joyful. Always joyful. If he is actually in contact with Krsna, how he can become morose? No. If he is morose, if he is unhappy, that means maya has attacked him
- A brahmacari gets power if he follows brahmacarya. Everyone, if we follow the prescribed rules and regulations, automatically you become powerful
- A brahmana never commits any sinful activity. If he, sometimes in an unnatural condition, if he does something. So he should be excused. This is Vedic law

- A spiritual body is not burned. They are kept, samadhi. Just like in Western countries they give samadhi to any, everyone, tomb, entombing. In India the tomb is offered to a very advanced spiritually person
- A spiritual master takes his disciples as his spiritual master. That is the position. He thinks that, "Krsna has sent me so many spiritual master." He does not think himself as spiritual master, he thinks himself their servant
- A sudra means he becomes disturbed. He becomes disturbed: "Oh, I have no employment. How shall I eat? Where shall I go? Where shall I live?" He has no faith in Krsna
- A vaisya will find out some business. He'll find out some business. So there is a practical story

- Abhidheya is acting actually. Sambandha is understanding. So if you do not come to the platform of acting, abhidheya, then simply understanding will not help you. And acting also with the aim to achieve
- Acarya's duty is to point out the sastric injunction. They're already there in the Vedas
- Accepting the Supreme Brahman, Param Brahman, as the ultimate goal of life. Not he has got any other goal of life. These are the signs of guru
- According to Vedic system, the government has to look after about the ultimate goal of life also. The modern government, they are anxious to give material comforts
- Actually that mentality is sannyasa. It doesn't matter whether we have changed the dress or not, but if we decide it, that "I am eternal servant of Krsna; my only duty is to serve Krsna," that is sannyasa

- Atma-prasadanim means if you want to satisfy your mind, if you want to satisfy your self, or even you want to satisfy your body... We are living in three stages: bodily concept of life, mental concept of life and spiritual concept of life

- Battlefield or no battlefield, wherever there is Krsna, that is transcendental. This has to be understood
- Because people have been spoiled all over the world by being misguided by the so-called leaders. Therefore varnasrama college is required
- Because they are missing the aim of life, they are committing suicide. And this varnasrama-dharma was planned in such a way that everyone would be spiritually advanced
- Before your next death you finish your Krsna consciousness. That is the real gain of life
- Better allow them (the grhasthas) to live together. What can be done? But we cannot lose them. After training so much, if they are lost, then that is a great loss. This I am giving hint. Now you GBC, you change them. Make process
- Better we should try to stay in this determination than to accept the sannyasa order by changing the dress and then again we fall down. That is not very good. There are instances like that, but it is not at all good. We should not trust the mind
- Bhagavata never becomes old, nityam bhagavata-sevaya
- Bhakta-sane vasa. Tandera carane. We should live together as devotee and follow the footprints of the acaryas. Don't manufacture concoction. Then it will be spoiled. Simply try to follow. They'll protect. They'll give protection
- Bhakti does not mean that you give up your living conscience. Attachment is the function of the living being
- Bhakti is activity. Just like personally, up to seventy years, I was practically doing nothing. But at the age of seventy years, by the grace of God, Krsna, there was inspiration; I went to Western country - not to sit down there silently

- Buddhists, they do not care for the Vedic injunction. We can understand. But these Sankarites they take shelter of the Vedas and they say, "There is no form of God." And that is being followed by the so-called Hindus
- But don't we do that also (Caitanya Mahaprabhu was interested only on the spiritual platform. He had no idea of material side. He rejected material side)?
- But from '65-'66 how did you manage? You didn't have any money with you
- But he does it on your behalf (he's guru. He's guru)?
- But how that will affect the atmosphere and Krsna consciousness of the temple (that hall is made, constructed for making some money, then the money will not come if we don't rent out to the cinema actors, actresses)? It's not that the theater...
- But Krsna's grace, Caitanya Mahaprabhu's grace, they are being now trained up. Now you be trained up and revise the whole edition of the western civilization, especially in America. Then a new chapter will come in. This is the program
- But nobody can sit idly. That is the point. If one is engaged in making for flower garland, all right, you may not take him. It is not compulsory for you
- But Swamiji, mostly educated persons, Ph.D, D.Litt., M.A., postgraduates, they are the followers of this
- But then, in the event that some present GBC member leaves, either leaves (how many GBC's are there already? So add him. GBC is not to be changed)?
- By fixing up his mind in Krsna, then he could use all other senses, namely the tongue
- By gradual process, to bring one to the platform of vasudeve pritir, that is bhakti. Pritir means love, how to love Vasudeva, Krsna. That is civilization - to bring one to the platform of loving Krsna

- Caitanya Mahaprabhu appeared to glorify the significance of the holy name. He is actually the acarya, namacarya, but He transferred His namacarya-ship to Haridasa Thakura
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu has given us this easy program. So don't deviate from this. Chant Hare Krsna and take prasadam. Make life simplified and be happy. That is Krsna consciousness movement
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu has summarised all the Vaisnava philosophies in acintya-bhedabheda-tattva. Simultaneously one and difference. Some of the philosophers they say maya and Krsna they are different
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu knew it very well that all the rascals, they will call them vedanti and do all nonsense. So don't become falsely a vedanti. Real vedanti means if you simply know Krsna and surrender unto Him, then you become a vedanti, real vedanti
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu never said that "I am directly servant of Krsna." No. Gopi-bhartuh pada-kamalayor dasa-dasa-dasa-dasanudasah: "Servant of the servant of the servant of the..."
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu said that if somebody remembers Krsna by seeing somebody, that somebody is Vaisnava. He remembers immediately Krsna
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu we accept as incarnation of Krsna. It is confirmed in the sastra. In the Upanisads, in Mahabharata, in Srimad-Bhagavatam. Everywhere, there are... If you read Caitanya-caritamrta, there are so many quotations from the sastras
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu's incarnation is to deliver the fallen souls. And there is no scarcity of fallen souls in this age
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu's order, yare dekha, tare kaha, 'krsna-upadesa.' Bas, finished, "You become a guru." The trouble is there. You haven't got to manufacture your ideas. Just like I'm quoting from Krsna's preaching
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu's special grace, that He accepted two rejected gentlemen from the brahmin society and made them gosvamis. That is the special significance of Caitanya Mahaprabhu's movement
- Caitanya-caritamrta Kaja, Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami, he says that there is difference between material lusty desire and love of God. He has compared that love of God is just like gold, and lusty desire is just like iron
- Can we take you some time all around Vrndavana? ... What about to Govardhana?
- Can you guarantee life? Then you are controller. Your so-called advanced medicine or advanced knowledge has no meaning. You have to die. Then where is the value of your empty voice?
- Can you say something about the training for a brahmana (in the varnasrama college)?

- Considering all angles of vision, Asvatthama was not a brahmana
- Constantly, if we worship, then Krsna's form is always impressed - I can see Krsna any time. If I close my eyes, I will see Krsna, how Krsna is nicely dressed. I see Krsna is very pleasingly eating what I have prepared with devotion, bhaktya
- Constantly, twenty-four hours, if you hear and chant. Hear means somebody chants or you chant yourself or hear, or some of your colleague may chant, you hear. Or he may hear, you may chant. This process must go on. This is sravanam kirtanam visnoh

- Devotee should not commit mistake. He's above it. It is my business to worry. Because I do not show the stick, don't take advantage of it. Keep me less anxiety
- Dhrstadyumna Maharaja will be coming tomorrow with his brother. And he has designed the very ideal plan for all of the varnas and asramas to live together
- Did Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu have a dandi or a tridandi?

- Do it very cautiously, because after all, we are beggar. That you should consider. But if somebody comes forward, that is our business - to induce others, moneyed man. Let his money be spent. That we are doing actually
- Do it. Don't talk. I don't want talk. I want to see
- Do something positive. If you have got preacher, then never mind what is the quarter. Have kirtana and distribute prasadam

- Don't claim your proprietorship. You are not proprietor. You are falsely claiming; because what you are claiming as your property, it will be taken away by Krsna at the time of your death
- Don't give up the company of devotees. Then it will be lost. We are opening so many centers because to cooperate between devotees and devotees. Even there is inconvenience, don't give up the company of the devotees
- Don't keep Indian culture airtight, and don't keep American money for sense gratification. Use it for Krsna. So they are doing that. And Krsna is giving them intelligence. Bhakti-yogam dadami tam
- Don't make any addition and alteration of your so-called learned scholarship That will not help you. You must present Bhagavad-gita as it is. There is everything, very easily done, provided we follow parampara system
- Don't think that because you are teaching a sudra how to work like this, you have become a sudra. You are not sudras, any circumstances. Even though you teach to a sudra how to work like a sudra
- Don't think that Krsna consciousness movement, those who are Krsna conscious, they'll become lazy and imitate Haridasa Thakura. That is not Krsna consciousness
- Don't think that our books are simply meant for selling; they are meant for reading also
- Don't waste human form of body for sense gratification. I wanted to introduce this. Now I have given you ideas. You can do it. You are all intelligent
- Duty of the first-class brahmana

- Envy means the cow has got right to live. He does not allow the cow to live. That is envy
- Envy means the cow has got right to live; he does not allow the cow to live. That is envy. You cannot understand this? Suppose you are walking. You have got right to walk, I have got, and if I kill you, you cannot walk. That is envious
- Even father will be enemy, what to speak of others. If you become Krsna conscious, the whole world will be your enemy. You must be prepared for that. So therefore you require tapasya. Tapasya means voluntarily agree to suffer
- Even if it's a work which you have not yet translated yourself (we are doing other languages. If it is properly translated, it can be…)?
- Even if you live for one day or two days and simply engaged in devotional service that will be 100 times increased. Therefore ordinary men is advised not to live in holy places more than three days
- Even in Australia there also we have got four branches-Melbourne, Sydney - and we have got a very big building, very big temple of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Last year I established, and many hundred thousand devotees are coming

- First they say the songs are maya, then the tunes are maya. They have, behind my back I hear all kinds of things they are saying. So nobody takes my words seriously. Even though I may quote from any scripture right, they don't respect me
- For getting facilities to approach gopis they worship Katyayani for getting Krsna as a husband. So we should follow
- For management, this division must be there. Otherwise it will be mismanagement. Yes. A Vaisnava coming to the position of doing the work of a sudra does not mean he has become sudra. He's Vaisnava
- For sterilization (the poor, these babajis, they were going to beg, and by force, once, twice, injection. So immediately, after one week…)?
- Forget good government for millions of years, unless you establish this varnasrama-dharma

- From the very beginning of childhood one should be trained up to act according to the bhagavata-dharma." That is real life

- Suppose we are worshiping Deity. That is the duty of brahmana; but somebody is called that "You cleanse this floor." So he should not think that "I am cleansing the floor; therefore I am lower than the person directly worshiping the Deity." No
- Suppose we fall down. There is nothing inauspicity because whatever you have done sincerely, that is recorded in the book. In the Krsna's book. Krsna has got accountant. He keeps nice account of the activities of His devotees. That's a fact

- Technology means sudra. Technology is not the business of a brahmana, ksatriya, or vaisya. No. Just like blacksmith, goldsmith, carpenter, craftsman. These are technology. They are meant for the sudras

- Their aims and object is superficially good, that "We altogether preach." But they do not know the ways

- Then if you could not learn the art, at the same time you miss Krsna's service. So that is not our principle. We want to serve Krsna

- Then what is the relationship of that person who gives the initiation and the… (yes. I shall recommend some of you. After this is settled up, I shall recommend some of you to act as officiating acaryas. Rtvik, yes)?
- There are no changes in the higher nature?
- There are so many pains when you're old. The body is not strong. We suffer in so many ways, especially rheumatism and indigestion. Then blood pressure, headache, so many things. Therefore one should be trained up how to become dhira
- There are so many translations (of the Gita). How does one decide...?
- There are three kinds of women: kamini, svairini, and pumscali. Pumscali. Svairini means free, freedom. Nobody is controller. That is called svairini. And kamini means to attract, very much attract

- They are introducing in the Vrndavana area so many industrial things so that the spiritual atmosphere is to be killed. That is the policy is going on
- They are making scientific researches to become happy, but these rascals, they do not know how to stop death. So what is the nice? But they have no brain to understand
- They are seeing that all Europeans and Americans, they have adopted such nice Vaisnava culture. There are attracted from that point. But if we are not to the standard point, they immediately appeal, "Oh they are useless". So that should be corrected
- They bow down like stick. This is called dandavat. Danda means "stick"; vat means "like." When you fall down, just like a stick falls, before superior, that is called dandavat. Not by simply saying dandavat... Eh, one must fall down
- They cannot make any plan successful without Krsna consciousness. So long they'll insist upon this point, that "Without Krsna consciousness we shall do everything successfully..." That is durasa
- They do not know what is civilization. This is civilization, huh? Brahmana. And they will think, "What is this nonsense, to worship a brahmana, to give food to the brahmana-bhojana?"
- They do not know what is the value of life, how to make this human form of life successful. Mandah. Just like we are chanting all over the whole world that "Chant Hare Krsna mantra and you will be happy." Still, they are not very much interested
- They don't mind even if they become a dog next life. Is it not? This is Western civilization. They say plainly, "What is wrong? I'll forget." Such degradation has taken place in the human society
- They felt an ecstasy so continue this ideal
- They have been forced to forget Hare Krsna by the so-called rascal leaders. Otherwise India is meant for chanting Hare Krsna, the whole India
- They have been put in one group: woman, vaisya and sudra. Because they are not very intelligent. They can be molded by another intelligent man to the proper channel. Therefore they require guidance. They require guidance
- They must be all ideal acarya-like. In the beginning we have done for working. Now we should be very cautious. Anyone who is deviating, he can be replaced
- They must be engaged twenty-four hours. That is wanted. It is not a lazy free hotel. Anyone lives, he must be engaged twenty-four hours
- They must be punished, with such rogues and thieves. That is stated in the Bhagavatam. It is nature's punishment
- They wanted an Indian to be the leader (of ISKCON)?
- They would all come to our place in procession, and we shall feed them. This program should be started immediately

- This is our real miserable condition of life. We have to die, we have to take birth again, and again we have to become old, and there will be disease. Between birth and death

- This samsara, this material existence, is just like davanala. Davanala means forest fire. Forest, in the forest nobody goes to set fire, but it takes place automatically
- This temple means to practice how to think of Krsna's lotus feet, Balarama's lotus feet, always. Man-mana bhava mad-bhaktah. Immediately you become bhakta. And as soon as you become a bhakta all kinds of disturbances will be subsided
- This yellow color refers to Caitanya Mahaprabhu, golden color. So this is also confirmed. If somebody says that "He is Krsna. Why He is not blackish?" No. He appears as the devotee of Krsna in golden color. We say, therefore, "golden avatara"
- Those who are simply acting piously, such person can approach the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Not impious person can
- Those who will manage this institution, they must be first-class gosvamis. This is my proposition. Not grhamedhi
- Thousands of presidents and thousands of GBC may come and go, His work will go on. Krsna is complete Himself. He doesn't require anyone's help. That is Krsna
- Throughout the whole universe, as many forms of body are there, He is the father. So how He is Indian?
- Tin, tin, tin, tin - International Society String Band, combined together, now we have become a stringed instrument
- To become Vaisnava is not so easy thing. One has to become brahmana, then when he surpasses the stages of becoming brahmana, then he becomes Vaisnava. Suddha-sattva
- To work for Krsna's sense gratification and to work for one's own sense gratification, this transformation change, this changing process, is called bhakti. Process is the same, simply account should be changed
- Today or tomorrow, everyone will die. So where is the anxiety? Die or not die, tomorrow or today, but one should chant Hare Krsna, that's all
- Transform into a nice park this space
- Transport is required in the human society, but you can utilize so many animals for your purpose
- Try to deliver these innocent persons who are suffering. Everyone is suffering. That should be the motto. Do not sit idly, eat and sleep. No. Either loitering, wandering... I know, our men in Krsna consciousness, they are bold enough
- Tvam adyah purusah. Purusa means enjoyer. God is not female. Sometimes they worship a female as God, like Durga, Kali, and so many others. But God is purusa. Everyone is prakrti. Prakrti means female. Everyone knows it

- Unconsciousness also means no life?
- Under the pretext that "Krsna said," "My spiritual master has said," "Prabhupada has said," we manufacture something. Don't do that. Unless you are directly ordered, you cannot do at least such things as to chastise a brahma-bandhu
- Unless one becomes a perfect devotee, he cannot become a bhadra, gentleman. That is not possible. Naradhamah, Krsna says, unless one is devotee, he is a duskrtina, most sinful man, naradhamah, and the lowest of the human being
- Unless one is conversant with the teachings of the lessons of sastra, he is not to be considered as a human being. Actually that is so, unless one comes to the principles of dharma and asrama, one is not to be considered as a human
- Unless one is very strong in body, old age means suffering. So whatever Krsna-Balarama desire. Now it is up to you to maintain the Society very nicely. There is framework. There is idea. There is facility of everything
- Unless they take to Krsna consciousness, they'll not be saved. The varnasrama college has to be established immediately. Everywhere, wherever we have got our center, a varnasrama college should be established to train four divisions
- Unless you are associated with devotees, you will not be able to understand the import of the writings of Srila Rupa Gosvami

- Vaidhi-bhakti, that is apprenticeship. Real bhakti, para-bhakti, that is raganuga-bhakti
- Vaisnavas do not require to practice any yogic power to become materially powerful. He doesn't require. Simply his surrender to Krsna makes him all-powerful. This is the position of Vaisnava
- Veda means knowledge. So from the Vedas you can have all different types of knowledge, namely material knowledge and spiritual knowledge, both, perfectly
- Vedic culture is actual civilization, varnasrama-dharma. That is the beginning of civilization. Without Vedic culture and varnasrama-dharma it is the animal civilization
- Vedic knowledge means there is no mistake, there is no cheating, there is no imperfection. Everything is perfect. So science means which is perfect knowledge
- Very good news. Now can see. This material body may remain or not remain, this movement will push on.(?) That is wanted. Where is such thing throughout the whole world? Hmm?
- Visnu doesn't have to take any loan. Anybody who believes that means they don't know the philosophy. How can God be wanting?

- We always advise, "Don't read newspaper. Don't read any other book," because it is full of gramya-katha. These externally very attractive news, we should avoid it completely. We shall simply talk of Krsna
- We are creating a new generation for becoming devotee at Dallas
- We are endeavoring to create some ideal men, Krsna conscious men, their character, their behavior, their ideal aim of life. So those who have taken to Krsna consciousness seriously, they should be ideal men
- We are equal, that's all right, but there is difference. So far I am a living being, He's also a living being, but He's supreme living being. How? Because I breathe, some dust comes and goes out, and when He breathes some universes come out
- We are existing. We have come out triumphant. They could not do anything. So the Hare Krsna movement is so strong, and indirectly, directly, or some way or other, if you chant Hare Krsna, you become benefited
- We are isvara. Krsna is also isvara. But He's Paramesvara. Therefore we have named "Godhead" purposefully, not "God." We don't say "Back to God." We say, "Back to Godhead.""Head" means the chief
- We are preaching Krsna consciousness. What Krsna has said, we are trying to spread. This is genuine, the simple thing. We have not manufactured anything, Transcendental Meditation or like that. That is not our business
- We are simply dreaming. With few pots we are simply dreaming that "These pots will be increased into so many pots, so many pots, so many pots," then finished. Don't make imagination
- We can say, that writing book at night and inducing these devotees: go and sell, go and sell, go and sell. In this way it is going on. This is not contribution. George has given contribution, but that is house. But nobody gives us money for it
- We cannot follow asadhu-marga. We must follow sadhu-marga. Mahajano yena gatah sa panthah. We cannot follow an upstart, manufacturing some song, manufacturing some ideas. We cannot follow that
- We cannot neglect any department. There must be all the departments, and they must be cooperative and healthy. So this movement is meant for that purpose
