- Smrti means "memory," and svapa means "sleep." Sleep is also necessary to keep the intelligence in working order. If there is no sleep, the brain cannot work nicely

- The sacrifice of a goat or a similar animal before the goddess Kali is mentioned in sastras just to keep people from eating slaughterhouse meat and becoming responsible for the killing of animals

- Utsahat, dhairyat, niscayat, tat-tat-karma-pravartanat, sato vrtteh sadhu-sanga (Upadesamrta 3). Six. If you keep these six principles always before you, you'll never fail; you'll make progress

- Various sastras advise that for material convenience one should keep his wife always satisfied by giving her ornaments and by following her instructions. In this way there will be no trouble in family life

- We are called marginal energy. We may be dark side or in the light side. So Krsna consciousness means to keep always in the light side

- You cannot understand the supreme pure, Absolute Truth, keeping yourself impure. It is not possible. You can understand God when you are pure
- You cannot understand why Lord Buddha denied the authority of Vedas - to keep you in darkness. He wanted to stop animal-killing, and he preached ahimsa, nonviolence. That was his mission
- You get gur, you get this . . . fry this oats or corns, and mix with gur and little milk - it will be very good for breakfast, very nutritious. In this way grow your food, and eat nicely, keep your health nicely
