- Being under the clutches of this prakrti, whatever little light was there as part and parcel of God, that is now covered. So this position has to be discovered or this covering has to be taken away, then we come to our position, original position

- Happiness is very difficult to obtain, but because they (living entities) are unable to control their senses, they run after the so-called happiness of the material world and never come to the right conclusion
- Having nothing more to do with the material world, finally say, "I have become Narayana." Then they (impersonalist sannyasis) come to the stage of daridra-narayana - poor Narayana
- He (a grhasta) prefers to live in family life rather than as a mendicant or sannyasi, but his chief aim is to achieve self-realization, or to come to the standard of Krsna consciousness
- He (a person) may sleep at night and perform his duties in the daytime, but as long as he does not come to the platform of working in spiritual enlightenment he is considered to be always sleeping
- He (a sea surfer) has to pass through the fish life. There are 900,000 different species of life. Then you again come to the land - you become trees, plants and so on. Two millions different forms you have to go through. That is evolution

- Here in Mayapur we are trying to create a place of inspiration for people throughout the world. It is in Mayapur that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, appeared. This information comes to us from the Srimad-Bhagavatam

- In our Krsna consciousness movement, anyone who is coming, even though coming from the LSD-addicted society, still, as soon as he comes to our society he gives up not only LSD or any intoxication, he gives up even drinking tea, coffee

- She (Sati) was not sorry for herself, for she was ready to come to her father's (Daksa's) house without being invited, but she wanted to see whether or not her husband (Siva) was being respected

- The Muhammadans, they pronounce s as h. So from "Sindhu," it has come to "Hindu." Otherwise, this "Hindu" name is not mentioned in any Vedic literature

- Trisula means three kinds of miseries. So the maya, this material nature, is inflicting upon the conditioned soul always three kinds of miseries so that they can come to their conscious, Krsna consciousness
- Try to concentrate on these farm projects. Let the villagers come and hear, and distribute prasadam. In this way draw their sympathy and gradually they'll become our associates. Then they can come to live with us and work with us
- Try to understand the difference between God and dog. A dog forgets. A dog comes to your place to eat something. You give it a slap. He goes away, again comes. He forgets that slapping. You see? That is the dog's nature. And God's nature is different

- Unless the living entity comes to the guaranteed protection of the Supreme Lord, he is full of anxiety. This life of anxiety is called material existence
- Unless we come to that platform, that we are servants of Krsna, there is no question of unity. That is brahma-bhutah stage

- Vamanadeva, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, had come to Bali Maharaja for alms. How could one get such an opportunity to give charity? Therefore, Bali Maharaja decided without hesitation to give the Lord whatever He wanted
- Vanaprastha means the husband and wife, they give up the affection. Not give up, go away from home, and they travel in the holy places just to purify, and again, when the affection draws, they come to the family. Again remain for one or two months
- Veda means knowledge. Knowledge means truth. Unless you come to the knowledge of truth, your knowledge is not perfect
- Vedic injunction is that don't stay within this dark material world. Just come to the illuminated world. Jyotir gamaya. The same thing Krsna also advises, that don't be allured to stay in any nice planet of this universe. Come out of it

- We are after happiness, every one of us. But we are seeking happiness in the perverted reflection. That is not possible. Therefore one has to give up this perverted happiness and come to the real fact
- We are always under three kinds of miseries, but sometimes one is slackened, other is greater, in this way, but we are always under miserable condition. When a sane man comes to this understanding, he is eligible for spiritual evolution

- We are now covered with base qualities. So when these base qualities are finished - not altogether, almost finished - then one can come to the platform of sattva-guna
- We are passing through 8,400,000 forms of life - from aquatic to plants, trees, then insect, then flies, then birds, then beasts, then uncivilized human beings, jungle, then come to this Aryan form, civilized form of human being
- We are practically driven by the uncontrolled mind and uncontrolled senses. So when you come to the brahminical position, then your senses become controlled, your mind become controlled
- We are sons of God, part and parcels of God, and God means almighty. So we have got almighty father, and leaving His place, I have come to this material world to enjoy independently. That is criminality. And we are suffering
- We are talking of how to come to the vipra stage. The 1st stage, everyone is on the sudra platform. Then by purificatory process, by understanding of this Vedic knowledge, janmana jayate sudrah samskarad bhaved dvijah, that by initiation he is twice-born

- What type of surrender is recommended? Surrender in full knowledge - when one comes to the perfectional point he must understand that Vasudeva, Krsna, is everything. This is also confirmed in Brahma-samhita - 5.1
