- A good father and mother never cheat when their son inquires from them; they give exact and correct information. Similarly, if we get spiritual information from an authority and if the authority is not a cheater, then our knowledge is perfect
- A sick man may have very good medicine and a qualified physician, but if we ask the physician, "Can you guarantee the life of this patient?" the doctor will always say, - No, I cannot do so. I try my best. That's all
- A very nice example: just like Jesus Christ. So what was his fault? But the sura-dvisam, the envious person, killed him. And if we find, if we analyze, what is the fault of Jesus Christ, there is no fault. The only fault he was preaching about God

- After all, our senses are employed for the satisfaction of somebody - either for ourselves or for someone else. That is kama, krodha, lobha and matsara - illusion. If we are not serving our own lusty desires (kama), we are serving anger - krodha
- After hearing about the many transcendental qualities of Krsna, if we somehow or other become attracted to Krsna consciousness, our lives will be successful
- After human being, if we do not work properly with our advanced consciousness, then we go down again in the hellish planet that are down this universe. And if we act piously, then you go to the upper planetary system
- All men, they have been declared in the Bhagavata abodha-jata (SB 5.5.5), born fools and rascals. But these are very strong words. But if we state this strong, that is another foolishness
- All of us are controllers to some limited extent. If we have nothing to control, sometimes we keep a dog or cat so we can say, "My dear dog, please come here." In this way we can think - I am the controller
- All these mahajanas - svayambhur naradah sambhuh - they also follow the same principle (sarva-dharman parityajya). Therefore we cannot understand very easily what is the truth of religious system, but if we follow these mahajana, then we can understand
- Allah. So if Allah cannot hear, then what is the use of offering prayers? If we are offering prayer, so Allah must hear it
- Although we are minute particle of God, if we dovetail ourselves with the consciousness of God, or Krsna consciousness, then we become equally spirit. This is the technique
- Although we are not paying the bill, we are taking advantage of the sunlight and the sun's heat. If we take advantage of electricity, we have to pay the bill, but we don't pay the sun bill. This means that we are actually indebted to the sun-god, Vivasvan
- Another gopi said, "You (Krsna) never spent any money for us, yet we are simply attracted by Your glance. Now, if we die without receiving Your glance, You’ll be responsible for our deaths"
- Ante narayana-smrtih: (SB 2.1.6) the result of whatever we do in executing spiritual activities is successful if we can remember Narayana, the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Anyone can collect any amount of salt from the natural storehouse, but constitutionally we cannot take more salt than what we need. If we take more salt, we spoil the broth, and if we take less salt our food becomes tasteless

- Bali Maharaja offered everything he had to the Lord in the form of Vamanadeva, and after he had offered all his possessions, he offered his body. There are many examples, but at the present moment, if we simply hear about Krsna, that is sufficient
- Because cow dung and conchshells are considered pure by the Vedas, they are accepted as pure by the followers of the Vedas. If we want to understand the statements by indirect interpretation, then we have to challenge the Vedic statements
- Because Krsna comes before us just like a human being, if we think that "He's also like me," then we are ass. Krsna does not change His dress
- Because the consciousness is there, therefore any part of the body, if we pinch, we can feel pains and pleasure. And when the consciousness is not there, the man is dead
- Because we do not know Vasudeva, Krsna, we have got natural tendency to love, but we do not know where to place love. If we place our loving tendency unto Krsna, Vasudeva, then that tendency becomes fruitful and perfection
- Because you cannot live in the water, that does not mean there is no living entity in the water. This is nonsense. So if we similarly conclude, "Because we cannot live in the fire, therefore there is no living entity in the fire," that is nonsense
- Before death, we must prepare ourselves, what is next body. If we are not doing that, then we are killing ourselves, committing suicide
- Better if we try to push on this Krishna Consciousness Movement and use our energy, education, scientific knowledge, etc. to simply convince the present generation that everyone is servant of God. Then our mission will be successful
- Bhagavad-gita was spoken to Arjuna five thousand years ago, and if we read it today we will still find that it is fresh
- Bhagavan says, mayy asakta, mayi asakta. Therefore if you become attached... We have got attachment for so many things. But if we transfer that attachment to Krsna, then, Krsna says, mayy asakta-manah partha yogam yunjan mad-asrayah
- Bhaktivinoda Thakura says, anadi karama-phale, padi 'bhavarnava-jale, taribare na dekhi upaya. If we are thrown into the ocean, there is a great struggle, even if we may be very great swimmers
- Birth in high family or great nation, to be very opulent, rich, and very highly educated or very beautiful - these things are very good material possessions. But if we have got them, it is all right. Even if we have not got, there is no impediment
- By chanting this mantra, simple mantra, without any education, without any philosophical knowledge, simply if we chant, your heart will be cleansed of all dirty things and you'll understand that you are part and parcel of Krsna
- By Krsna's grace if we actually become dharmic, follow Krsna, the milk supply will be so profuse that everyone, even the animals, can take the butter and yogurt. That is wanted. That is civilization
- By material calculation all this (God's varieties of forms) may appear contradictory, but if we understand that the Supreme Personality of Godhead has inconceivable potencies, we can accept these facts as eternally possible in Him

- Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the source of energy for all His devotees. Since this is the case, if we take shelter of Caitanya Mahaprabhu for the successful execution of Krsna consciousness, we are sure to make progress - CC Intro
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu requested that His devotees only talk about Krsna. If we simply talk about Krsna and hear about Him, the stage will come when we will no longer suffer. This is called anandamayo 'bhyasat in the Vedanta-sutra
- Constantly, if we worship, then Krsna's form is always impressed - I can see Krsna any time. If I close my eyes, I will see Krsna, how Krsna is nicely dressed. I see Krsna is very pleasingly eating what I have prepared with devotion, bhaktya

- Despite all our offenses and defiance of the desires of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Lord will give us immediate relief from all the hardships offered by material nature if we simply surrender unto Him
- Despite the advancement of our civilization, if we cannot bring Krsna and Krsna consciousness into the center of everything, our civilization will never become beautiful
- Detachment is the sign that one is advancing in bhakti-yoga. Bhaktih paresanubhavo viraktir anyatra ca (SB 11.2.42). That is the test of advancing in bhakti. If we are advanced, we are no longer attached to material enjoyment
- Devahuti also addresses her son as Bhagavan. Bhagavan is the Supreme Person. If we could just use a little common sense we could understand that an organization requires a leader. Without a leader, we cannot organize anything
- Dharma is to abide by the orders of Krsna. And if we do that then we become qualified to go back to home, back to Godhead. Very simple thing. It doesn't require much education. Simply it requires a purified mind, that "I shall execute it honestly"
- Different limbs of the body may act in different ways, but the ultimate objective is to maintain the entire body. Similarly, if we work for the satisfaction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we will find that we satisfy everything

- Each and every sloka should be very, very scrutinizingly understood. That should be the first business in the temples. We have got so many books. Simply if we make arrangement for selling, not for understanding, then it will be simply materialistic
- Either you say Absolute Truth or the Supersoul, the same thing. But this life is meant for understanding. If we miss this opportunity, we do not know where we are going. The defect of the modern civilization is they don't care. Hedonism, Carvaka's theory
- Even if we change our body, still we can find out our means of living by that inherent intellect. That is advertised as intuition. But this intuition is previous experience only
- Even if we do a little on the path of bhakti, it goes to our account. For instance, if we deposit only two dollars in a savings bank, it is kept in our account, and it will increase with interest
- Even if we do not accept God, if we do not accept the leadership of God, we have to select another leader. We cannot get rid of this principle, that we can live without leader. That is our constitutional position
- Even if we fall down sometimes, not intentionally, but accidentally - because we are practiced to so many bad things, it may be possible that even I take full care, still, the influence is so strong, I may fall down - Krsna excuses such kind of falldown
- Even if we get some knowledge by touch or otherwise, it is all either mistaken or incomplete. It is just like the group of blind men who had encountered an elephant and tried to describe the strange new creature to one another
- Even if we know, still, if there is some bodily pain we become very much disturbed. But we should know, always remember, that "I am not this body"
- Even if we take all precautions to protect ourselves against committing any sins - for the Vaisnavas, the devotees of Visnu, naturally do take all such precautions - still, unconsciously we kill many ants and other insects
- Even if you do not understand, your dull brain, but we have to accept the words of Krsna. That is the critical point. If we take Krsna's instruction, everything will be solved. There will be no problem
- Even in ordinary law, ignorance is no excuse. If we go to court and say, "I did not know that this action was criminal," this plea does not mean that we shall be excused. Similarly, ignorance is no excuse for transgressing nature's laws
- Even in our ordinary dealings, if we love someone we want to satisfy him or her, and he or she also wants to reciprocate. So if the reciprocation of loving affairs exists in this material world, in what an elevated way must it exist in the spiritual world
- Even now, in this distorted condition of the world, if we accept Bhagavad-gita as it is, then still, we will be benefited. There is no doubt about it
- Even one of the greatest fiction writers in Bengal misunderstood and thought that Krsna of Vrndavana, Krsna of Dvaraka, and Krsna of Mathura were three different persons. But this is not difficult to understand if we know the nature of Krsna's expansions

- Every one of us, because we have got different types of body according to my desire, we are acting differently. So if we come back again to the spiritual platform, then we will not work differently. We shall work concomitantly
- Every paisa should be spent for Krsna; otherwise we shall be liable to pay. If we use one farthing for our sense gratification, then we will have to pay for it. This is the law of karma
- Everyone has got God-gifted instrument, this ear. And if we give aural reception, we'll learn. There is no need of education, A-B-C-D. No
- Everyone has some vague idea of God, but no clear idea. Therefore God descends to show what He is. If we speculate on God, someone will think one thing and another person will think another. This is the result of speculation
- Everyone is a servant. No one can actually claim to be master. If we simply take shelter of Krsna, we do not have to offer sacrifices to various demigods. If we water the root of a tree, we do not have to water the branches, twigs, flowers or fruits
- Everyone knows that the mind is so swift that in even one ten-thousandth of a second it can take us millions of miles. If we have seen something millions of miles away, the mind can go there immediately
- Everyone knows that the wind blows within space, and on earth it is blowing everywhere. There is no place where there is no air or wind. If we wish to drive out air, we have to create a vacuum artificially by some machine
- Everyone should act yajna. Yajna means work to satisfy the Supreme Lord. That is called yajna. If we do not do that, then we shall be obliged
- Everyone's center is Krsna: "How Krsna will be happy?" This is Vrndavana life. If we try to follow the footsteps of the residents of Vrndavana, how to love Krsna, then our life is successful
- Everything is complete in this world. There is no scarcity. We have simply created scarcity by our mismanagement. But if we take up the laws as they are prescribed in the scriptures and live peacefully, there is no scarcity
- Everything is there in the Bhagavad-gita for guidance if we accept the philosophy of Bhagavad-gita as it is. Everything is there. Peace is there, prosperity is there. So that is a fact. Unfortunately, we do not accept it. That is our misfortune
- Existence continues, but if we positively want to annihilate the material body, we have to accept a spiritual body; otherwise there can be no eternality for the soul

- Factually if we scrutinizingly study all the conditions of religion, economic development, sense gratification and liberation, we must accept the principles of the authority of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- First of all, the next body may not be for cultivating knowledge in spiritual life because we are already fallen, and if we do not elevate, we may accept another body, still fallen
- First we must become good men; then we can understand God. God is all good, and if we don't become good we cannot understand Him
- Following the footsteps of Arjuna, if we accept Krsna's words, not blindly but with good logic, good scientific research, if we actually try to understand what Krsna speaks, then all our problems are solved
- For all practical purposes if we systematically preach to chant the holy name of Godhead, I think nobody, not even the religious fanatic, will take objection to it
- For fulfilling simply the bodily necessities if we work so hard, then where is the difference between us and the hogs? They're doing same thing
- For our original characteristic, that we are eternal servant of God, Krsna, if we are situated in that platform or eternal platform, serving Krsna, that is mukti. Mukti means give up the false conception of life and take the real conception of life
- For performing yajna, clarified butter is essential, and for clarified butter, cow protection is essential. Therefore, if we neglect the Vedic way of civilization, we shall certainly suffer
- Forgetfulness is the nature of the living entity. We cannot even remember what we were doing at this exact time yesterday or a week ago. If we cannot remember this, how is it possible to remember what happened in our previous lives
- From the beginning we have to practice Krsna consciousness if we are actually serious to go back to home, back to Godhead. Not that let it be left for two or three years before death
- From the ground we may see only clouds in the sky, but if we fly above the clouds we can see the sun shining. From the sky, skyscrapers and cities seem very tiny; similarly, from God’s position this entire material creation is insignificant - CC Intro

- Generally they perform religious ritualistic performances for getting some more money. Of course, we require some money for our maintenance; that is necessary. But if we simply perform ritualistic performances to acquire money only, that is misguided
- God (Krsna) is asamordhva, which means that no one is equal to or superior to Him. If we find someone who has no superior, we can accept him as God. God can be defined as one who has no superior and who has no equal. This is the Vedic version
- God does not give you sanction for doing anything criminal. But if we persist to do something criminal, then God gives sanction, "All right, do. Do it at your risk." That is going on
- God exists, and God's energy also exists, so if we cannot see God we can at least see His energy. We may not see the electric powerhouse and the engineer within it generating power, but we use electricity in so many ways
- God has given us everything, and now it is up to us to make our choice. So God is good, and if we follow His instructions, we become good
- God is good, so we are also good. But we have become bad under circumstances. Just like under infection, one becomes diseased. So if we cure that infection, again he becomes good. So it is the curing process
- God is never controlled. God is controller, but He's not controlled. So if we take ourself as so many samples of God, that is all right, but we are controlled God, not controller God
- God is not want of your money. (chuckles) He is quite competent to earn money. He doesn't require anything. But if we give, it is our interest. It is our interest
- Gosvami does not mean go-dasa. Go means senses, and dasa means servant. If we keep the title gosvami and become servant of the senses, it is cheating
- Great authorities should be followed; otherwise, if we simply depend on the scriptures, we are sometimes misled by rascals, or else we cannot understand or follow the different spiritual injunctions. The best path is to follow the authorities
- Grham andha-kupam, if we discuss threadbare, it may be very unpalatable. But we have to discuss from sastra what is grha. Grha, it is . . . another word, it is called anganasrayam. Angana. Angana means woman; to live under the protection of wife

- He (Krsna) instructed Brahma, the lord of the universe, and Brahma, having received Krsna's instructions, created the entire universe. Krsna will also give instructions to us if we simply take to devotional service
- He (Krsna) says the plain truth, man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru (BG 18.65). He is saying to everyone. So if we do not do - we have got little independence - then we are in this miserable condition of life
- He (the SPG) always remains complete (Sri Isopanisad, Invocation). In our experience in the material world, if we have a bank balance of one million dollars, as we withdraw money from the bank the balance gradually diminishes until it becomes nil
- He who knows God, however, becomes freed from all possible sinful reactions, which no amount of piety can accomplish. If we reject God we can never be happy
- He's (the dog) thinking "I am dog," you are thinking "Englishman," I am thinking "Indian." There is no difference. So if we keep people in darkness of dog's mentality, and declare we are advanced in civilization, most misguiding
- Here if we enjoy in the hotel some dancing, and next morning I'll have to go into the garbage for bringing money for that dancing. I'll work, go underground to dig out garbage. It is not like that, that Krsna has to go next morning to garbage
- Here in this material world, love is 99.9% all frustration, because the love is not reposed to the proper place. The proper place is Krsna. If we love Krsna, then we can love everyone
- Here is parampara. Now, if we follow the footsteps of Arjuna, and we should surrender like that
- Here, Bhagavad-gita, He's revealing Himself to Arjuna, because he's a devotee. So if we take the words of Arjuna, then we also realize God
- How are these things going on so nicely if there is no controller? If we see any establishment going on very well, we immediately understand that the manager, director, or controller of the institution is expert
- How can we appreciate the existence of the soul if we cannot understand even the psychological movements of the mind
- How much intelligence has got God, we can imagine. If we, our teeny brain, we are so intelligent . But unfortunately the rogues, having got a brain from God, they are denying God
- How they can train up their children. Here is the prescription how to train up. So in this age, although it is very difficult task, at least if we teach our children to chant Hare Krsna maha-mantra, then everything is possible
- How this body shall be kept in comfort, how the bodily relationship - wife, children, family, community, society - they are all expanded bodily concept of life. So in any conception of this material world if we live, then you are living like cats & dogs
- How you are becoming KC, that you'll be tested at your time of death - That is wanted. If we practice throughout whole life "Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna," then there is good chance of chanting HK, because at the time of death everything becomes disordered
- Human civilization means we have got so many animal propensities, and if we can control them, that is advancement of human civilization. Just try to understand
- Human life is meant for this purpose (remain in goodness and live next life in higher planetary system). But if we waste our life just living like cats and dogs, eating, sleeping, mating, and defending, then we shall lose this opportunity
- Human society means to understand it, that what is the basic principle of material life. If we understand it is sex, therefore we have to cut down the sex desire gradually by becoming brahmacari, grhastha, vanaprastha, sannyasa. This is the process

- I am eternal, so why should I be interested in nonpermanent things? Who wants nonpermanent existence? No one wants it. If we are living in an apartment and the landlord asks us to vacate, we are sorry, but we are not sorry if we move to a better apartment
- I am very glad to see that you have detected the deficiency in our educational system, but still there is time before complete ruination if we take seriously this Krsna Consciousness Movement
- I give you one example. Just like this finger is the part and parcel of your body or my body. If this finger is separated from this body, it has no value. Similarly, we being part and parcel of God, Krsna, if we're detached from God, we cannot be happy
- I have already explained in a previous letter, if we can establish a bona fide language school then our American and European disciples can acquire student visas for coming to India. This will solve our visa problem

- If and only if we can establish our relationships with one another upon the central attraction of Sri Krsna, the prime cause of all causes, will we really turn the concepts of fraternity and equality into workable means of lasting peace
- If by performing all religious rituals very nicely and very perfectly, if we fail to dovetail ourself with the supreme consciousness, then all our labor for performing these rituals and religious performances, they become only labor of love

- If every one of us, we become reinstated in the transcendental platform of loving Krsna, then our aspiration of mastership will be fulfilled. That is not known at present, but if we agree to serve Krsna, then gradually we'll see that Krsna is serving you
- If I think "I am Muhammadan," "I am Christian," then you are gone. But if we purify the senses that "I am spirit soul. The Supreme Spirit Soul is Krsna
- If I want to enter into the kingdom of God, or Krsna, if we want to be Krsna consciousness, there is no impediment. There is no impediment. Ahaituky apratihata
- If only we knew that our ultimate destination is Lord Visnu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead! Then we could end our suffering

- If somehow we can get out of the material body, we can escape the miseries that are integral with it
- If there are five people present, our enjoyment is enhanced, and if we can discuss Krsna before many, many people, the enjoyment is all the greater. Enjoyment means variety
- If this is considered thoughtfully (person without God consciousness steal God's property) and if one comes to real knowledge, he will realize that if we do not understand God, whose property we are using, whatever we possess is stolen property
- If we accept a material body, then all the miserable conditions that we are undergoing with this body, we have to accept it. This is not pessimistic view of life, but this is a fact. Only responsible persons, they can understand
- If we accept God as the supreme proprietor, then our other problem is solved. Because we are falsely claiming proprietorship of things which belong to God
- If we accept guru, a bogus guru, then it is no benefit. Guru means Krsna's representative. Not that everyone can be guru
- If we accept Krsna as friend, master, son or lover, we will never be frustrated. Every living entity has a specific relationship with Krsna, but at present this relationship is covered. As we advance in Krsna consciousness, it will be revealed
- If we accept Krsna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead and worship Him, all the parts and expansions of the Lord are automatically worshiped
- If we accept simply to obey the words of Vasudeva . . . It is so simple, but we are so unfortunate that we do not accept. Especially in this age, mandah sumanda matayo manda-bhagyah
- If we accept Srimad-Bhagavatam as the real commentary on Vedanta-sutra, then we'll find that in the Srimad-Bhagavatam it is said, kaler dosa-nidhe rajann asti hy eko mahan gunah - SB 12.3.51
- If we accept that, that Krsna is the supreme authority, then you'll learn Bhagavad-gita
- If we accept the bona fide spiritual master (as) representative of God and please him by submissive service, then by his mercy and pleasure we can understand God, the spiritual world, by revelation
- If we accept the devotional service of the Lord, the Lord will gradually reveal Himself. In this way the progressive devotee will gradually realize his spiritual position
- If we accept the inconceivable potencies of the Lord, we can understand how the Supreme Personality of Godhead can appear within this material world without being touched or contaminated by the three modes of material nature
- If we accept the invitation of a rich man with the idea of receiving palatable food, we are also trying to satisfy the demands of the tongue
- If we accept the judgment of Lord Krsna in the Bhagavad-gita, however, the Mayavadis are to be considered mayayapahrta-jnana, or bereft of all knowledge
- If we accept the leadership of Krsna, then in this very life we can make a solution of all the miseries of material existence
- If we accept the philosophy of Bhagavad-gita as it is. Everything is there. Peace is there, prosperity is there. So that is a fact. Unfortunately, we do not accept it. That is our misfortune. Or we misinterpret it
- If we accept the Vedic civilization, which is in nutshell - everything is there in the Bhagavad-gita - then the whole world will be Vaikuntha. You haven't got to go in the Vaikuntha. Here you'll have Vaikuntha. And next life will be Vaikuntha
- If we accept the words of Arjuna and Krsna, it may be possible for us to understand Bhagavad-gita, but if we want to interpret it in our own way, the results will be nonsensical
- If we accept this one plan, that immediately surrender to Krsna, then our life is successful. And if we do not accept this proposal of Krsna, and if we make our own plans to be happy, it will be never be possible
- If we accept this principle (God appeared as Caitanya) on the method of authentic scripture, that is our intelligence. Not that you have to become a great psychologist or a great scientist or mathematician. No. You have to take the orders of the authority
- If we accept Vedic injunction, we save so much time for so-called research work. That is the standard knowledge
- If we accept Vedic knowledge, we save so much time. We may go on experimenting with our limited power of senses, but that will always remain doubtful. But if we accept Vedic knowledge, apaurusa knowledge, then it is perfect
- If we acquire the qualities of a brahmana and work as a brahmana, we become a brahmana. If we act as a dog and do the work of a dog, we become a dog. Nor should one think that simply because one is born as a brahmana, one is automatically a brahmana
- If we act from the level of consciousness, then we may not be pushed again into the level of this bodily conception
- If we act from the platform of consciousness, then we may not be pushed again into the platform of this bodily conception
- If we act impiously, then our future is not very good. So actually we should act piously, not impiously. That is human life. We should know what kind of action we should do
- If we act on the consciousness platform, then we can overcome the fruitive result of good work or bad work
- If we act on the level of consciousness, then we can overcome the fruitive result of good work or bad work. It is a transcendental stage
- If we act only for the satisfaction of Visnu, there is no bondage due to material activity, but if we act otherwise, we become entrapped by one material activity after another
- If we act virtuously, then we shall get good result. So what is the use of worshiping God? Let us work virtuously
- If we actually practice the description of the prescription given in the sastra, then it will be possible that, as it is said, karmanubaddho drdha aslatheta. Then our strong desire to enjoy this material world in different way, that will be slackened
- If we actually want peace, then we must learn how to surrender to the Supreme Lord. It doesn't matter through which process. Either by Hindu, Muslim or Christian religion, it doesn't matter. We want to see that everyone is becoming a perfect lover of God
- If we actually want the happiness and independence that transcend death, we have to establish ourselves and remain in our constitutional position as pure consciousness
- If we actually want to attain a state beyond fear, we have to accept this bhakti-yoga process enunciated by Lord Kapiladeva
- If we actually want to be cured from this diseased condition of repetition of birth, death, old age and disease, we have to abstain from this sinful life. So it is not difficult. It requires little knowledge
- If we actually want to be free from the reaction of sinful life that we are doing, knowingly or unknowingly, then Krsna consciousness must be there
- If we actually want to be free from the reactions of sinful life, we must be Krsna conscious, for then Krsna will free us from all sinful reactions
- If we actually want to become pious and develop our devotional life, we have to associate unflinchingly with a sadhu. Then we can acquire some taste for Krsna
- If we actually want to implement the idea of universal brotherhood, then we will have to come to the platform of Krsna consciousness, not material consciousness
- If we actually want to make progress, then we must take to Krsna consciousness so that after leaving this body there is no more coming down to accept a material body. That is real progress. Otherwise, there is no progress
- If we agitate a lake or a pond, all the mud from the bottom comes to the surface. Similarly, when the mind is agitated so many thoughts arise from the subconscious that have been stored there over the years
- If we all agree that Krsna is the friend, real friend . . . Suhrdam sarva-bhutanam. Krsna, if He's not our friend, why He's coming down on this platform where we are living in rotten condition? He's great friend
- If we always chant the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, we will always remember Krsna, and immediately the form of Krsna will be awakened within our hearts. The process of always thinking of Krsna is the process of Krsna consciousness
- If we always think of Kṛṣṇa, by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra, then we shall keep ourself on the light side. And as soon as we think of sense gratification, immediately we are on the dark side
- If we analyze our life, we will find that it is full of suffering. Why then are we coming here? The conditioned souls are not very bright. We should inquire, "Why am I suffering?" If there is a remedy, we must take advantage of it
- If we apply our common sense, then it appears they have never gone to the moon planet. It is all bogus propaganda. It is not possible
- If we approach a perfect person and submissively hear from him, then the knowledge is perfect. So Krsna is accepted as the supreme authority, as Arjuna quoted Ahus tvam rsayah sarve - All the rsis, great saintly persons, they have accepted You
- If we approach God for some material benefit, for personal sense gratification, that may break at any time. So that is not real love. Real love is without cause
- If we approach the real spiritual master, bona fide spiritual master, then our material disease will be cured even in this life
- If we approach the Supreme Lord or His devotee, or if we are blessed by a devotee, naturally we will automatically achieve the benedictions of the Supreme Lord
- If we are a little thoughtful and philosophical, and if we are at all inclined toward bhakti, we can understand that Krsna is present in stone
- If we are accustomed to the beastly mentality like dogs and hog, then naturally we are going to get such body. But if we practice during this life, human form of life, while we are intelligent enough, godly life, then you are going back to home, BTG
- If we are active despite our contact with material nature, do we cease to be active when we purify ourselves of the material contamination and establish ourselves in our proper identity as pure Brahman
- If we are actually interested in understanding, we must approach a representative of Vyasadeva like Maitreya. Maitreya is also addressed as bhagavan, although of course the Supreme Bhagavan is Krsna Himself (krsnas tu bhagavan svayam) - SB 1.3.28
- If we are actually serious to understand Bhagavan, then we have to take the instruction given by Bhagavan Himself. We cannot manufacture ideas to know Bhagavan
- If we are always merged in the thought of Krsna, we should rest assured that Krsna is always with us
- If we are at all able to grasp this genuine message of Sri Krsna, the teacher of Bhagavad-gita, then and only then can we perfectly appreciate the teachings of Bhagavad-gita
- If we are at all interested in reaching that supreme abode, the process, as indicated here (in BG 8.22), is bhakti. Bhaktya means devotional service, submission to the Supreme Lord. The root word for bhaktya is bhaj, which means - service
- If we are at all to gather knowledge, we must gather it from these (the four Vedas, with their supplementary Puranas, the Mahabharata, the Ramayana and their corollaries, which are known as smrtis) sources without hesitation

- If we are in the modes of passion and ignorance, however, we do bad work in passion and ignorance. But for those who are going to be Krsna conscious, there is no need of good work or bad work
- If we are inspired by our remembrance of the Lord and by His will, then we will never be misdirected. We will not be intimidated by the horrible hallucinations of this illusory material energy
- If we are interested in manava-dharma, we should take instruction from the authorities. Don't try to manufacture dharma. That is not possible. You cannot manufacture

- If we are living in an apartment and the landlord asks us to vacate, we are sorry, but we are not sorry if we move into a better apartment. It is our nature, because we are permanent, to want permanent residence

- If we are not attached to devotional service to the Lord, then we cannot become detached from the modes of material nature. BG 1972 Introduction
- If we are not satisfied by the natural comforts offered by God and nature, and we want to create artificial comforts, then we have to create discomfort also
- If we are on the platform of knowledge, then there is no distinction between matter and spirit
- If we are pious, then we are promoted to the higher planetary system, Svargaloka, Janaloka, Maharloka, Tapoloka, Brahmaloka, Satyaloka. There are so many
- If we are praying to God, "O God, give us our daily bread," and the bread is supplied to us, how God is dead? God cannot be dead
- If we are prepared to follow the various rules and regulations - that is to say, if we become qualified - it is possible to see God anywhere and everywhere
- If we are progressive, if we are advanced in devotional service, we can see God everywhere, anywhere. We require to be qualified. Those who developed that love of God, they are constantly, twenty-four hours, seeing God
- If we are put into a dangerous position and that danger gives us an impetus to remember Krsna, that is welcome - Oh, I am getting this opportunity to remember Krsna
- If we are really anxious to know the principles of eternal life or life after death, and if we really want to see things in their true perspective, it is necessary for us to establish a relationship with a preceptor who can really open our eyes
- If we are searching for knowledge, we should conduct research to find out whether Krsna is not God. Without any objective, what is the point of thousands of years of speculation
- If we are sincere, if we actually want Krsna, Krsna is within your heart. He will help you in meeting the spiritual master, His representative. And by the instruction of the spiritual master, you will develop more and more your KC, your original position
- If we are sincere, we will get a sincere spiritual master by the grace of Krsna. If, however, we want to be cheated, Krsna will send us a cheater, and we will be cheated throughout our lives. That is actually going on
- If we are situated in brahma-bhuta, we will neither be distressed nor will we hanker. We will view equally everyone and everything. Even if we are situated in the midst of fiery turbulence, we will not be disturbed. That is the mode of goodness
- If we are situated in the transcendental position (bhakti), we can understand Krsna, Krsna cannot be understood by mental speculation; otherwise He would have said that He could be understood by jnana, karma or yoga
- If we are somehow lifted from the ocean of birth and death by the process of Krsna consciousness, we are immediately relieved
- If we are strong in bhakti-yoga, we actually no longer have a material body but a spiritual one. We are free
- If we are submissive, if we are engaged in His service, then, by His divine grace, He reveals Himself. Everything understanding of Lord, that is revelation. By our experimental knowledge, we cannot understand what is God
- If we are sufficiently intelligent, we must know that there is someone who has created the entire cosmic manifestation
- If we are sufficiently intelligent, we must know that there is someone who has supplied and has become the ingredients for this cosmic manifestation, who is eternally existing, but who is not within the cosmic manifestation
- If we are to have knowledge, it must come from a superior source which is not conditioned by these four imperfections. That source is Krsna. He is the supreme authority of BG, and He is accepted as the perfect authority by so many saints and sages
- If we argue, "How is that, that animal stool is impure, even human stool is impure. How cow dung, which is stool of another animal, is pure? It is contrary." But actually, we accept
- If we ask a child, "What is this?" he will say, "It is my hand." But regardless of what we claim, actually it is not our hand; it is given to us
- If we ask any scientist, "I will give you twelve million dollars - please give me back these twelve hours," he will reply, "No, it is not possible." The scientist cannot do it
- If we ask people who they are, they reply, "I am Hindu, I am Moslem, I am Swedish, I am American, I am Christian, etc." These are various identifications or designations of the body, but the fact is that we are not these bodies
- If we associate with all these things, sravanam kirtanam visnoh, hearing and chanting about Visnu, then this misconception of life, that "I am purusa," will vanquish. Then you become liberated
- If we associate with materialistic people, who are simply mad for sense gratification, we take the way of darkness. Tamo-dvaram yositam sangi-sangam
- If we associate with spiritual life, then we shall develop a spiritual body. The same example I have several times given is that if you put an iron rod within fire, it will become like fire. Is it not
- If we associate with the persons who are propagating this movement, there is process how to understand. The process is very simple: this sankirtana movement
- If we associate with the transcendental sound Hare Krsna, then we become purified to become transcendental
- If we at all want our activities to he auspicious, then we should work under the directions of the Supreme Lord. Such directions are given in authoritative scriptures such as Srimad-Bhagavatam & BG, or from a bona fide spiritual master. BG 1972 purports
- If we at all want to end the cause of our conditioned life, we must take to the worship of Lord Sri Krsna, who is present in everyone's heart by His natural affection for all living beings, who are actually the parts and parcels of the Lord
- If we attain such association, where nice things are discussed, then that awakening of reason, that special prerogative of the human being, will come
- If we attain that stage, then atma, the soul, will be fully satisfied. So it does not require much education, much wealth. From any status of life one can practice this, man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru (BG 18.65), these four things only
- If we attempt to reach conclusions by dint of our own speculative powers, however, we are subject to fall into error
- If we become a little comfortable because of other, materialistic engagements and we forget Krsna and have to take birth again, then what is our benefit? We should be very careful about this
- If we become addicted to sinful activities, the result will be we shall be degraded. But they do not know. Even so-called religious priest, they support killing, astonished
- If we become attached to pious activities, we may get these various worldly facilities in the next life and may take birth in the heavenly planets. But all this will eventually be finished
- If we become cent percent dependent and serve Him faithfully under His order or His representative's order, then the success is sure. Sevanurupa. Sevanurupam udayo. Udayo - It becomes manifest
- If we become entangled with the modes of material nature, then we forget the Supreme Personality of Godhead who is behind all these modes. BG 1972 purports
- If we become even partially pure, then lust and greed, the material diseases of the citizens, will be reduced
- If we become God conscious, if we become Krsna conscious, this fighting will be over. "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Russian," "I am Chinese," these all nonsense things will be over
- If we become God conscious, Krsna conscious, then the whole problems of the world - sociology, religion, economic development, politics - everything will be solved. That's a fact
- If we become intelligent enough to understand the sastras, then our life is successful, human life
- If we become intelligent enough, then we fully surrender to Krsna. And Krsna says, man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru (BG 18.65). We take up the principle to think of Krsna always, twenty-four hours
- If we become Krsna conscious, we will not get another material body after leaving this body. We will go home, back to Godhead, and attain our original, spiritual body, which is the same kind of beautiful body that Krsna, Narayana, has
- If we become purified from this material contamination, then we get back our eternal life, back to home, back to Godhead. That is required. That is . . . for that we have to accept little tapasya
- If we become sinful every moment, how we can become happy? It is not possible. If you want to become happy, you have to become pious. And the standard of piety is to become Krsna conscious, devotee of Krsna. That is the highest perfection of life
- If we become successful in Krsna consciousness, we achieve the greatest success of life, but even if we fall down, oh, there is no loss. Because we are going to get birth in sucinam, in nice brahmana family, or rich mercantile family where it is supposed
- If we can administer the spiritual advancement of life in the proper way, as they are in our Vedic literatures, so we can contribute greatest contribution to the world, and that will glorify India's name
- If we can advertise that simply by reading this book (Bhagavad-gita) and meditating for fifteen minutes anyone can immediately get power, become successful in business and pass his examination, many people would be attracted to the book
- If we can beget children to develop them with Krsna consciousness and thus become liberated from the clutches of repeated birth and death, that is the duty of the father and mother rightly followed
- If we can construct a temple and building without permission of the landlord that will be our greatest triumph. If such a law is inaugurated then it is to be supposed that it is Krsna's plan
- If we can continue to act in pure consciousness, then, at the end of this body we shall be free from material contamination, our spiritual life will be revived
- If we can control the tongue not to touch anything which is not offered to Krsna, and if we do not allow the tongue to talk anything except Krsna, Hare Krsna maha-mantra, then you become the greatest yogi
- If we can dovetail all our activities in relationship with Krsna, then we do not stand on the material platform, but always on the spiritual platform
- If we can keep our faith in an ordinary bank or a traveling agent, can we cannot keep our faith Krsna, who is accepted as the Supreme Personality of Godhead by all other big authorities. So we have to follow the footprints of great authorities
- If we can see by our practical experience there are living entities in the water, so why not living entities in the fire? And in the Bhagavad-gita it is said that living entity, this spiritual spark, is not affected by material influence
- If we can simply understand Krsna in part, that is our perfection. Therefore Krsna says: janma karma ca me divyam evam yo vetti tattvatah - BG 4.9
- If we can surrender to Krsna wholeheartedly, then we become eligible to understand what is Krsna
- If we can transcend this interruption, we can take part in loving affairs similar to those of Krsna and Radharani. Our aim should therefore be to go back home, back to Krsna, because since Krsna is eternal, we shall there receive an eternal body
- If we cannot fulfill our desires, then there is krodha, anger. And accompanied by krodha and attachment, there is always a tendency of fearfulness
- If we cannot understand the material universe by experimental knowledge, what is the possibility of understanding God and His kingdom? It is not possible experimentally. We have to understand by hearing Bhagavad-gita
- If we cannot understand the things Krsna has created, how can we understand Krsna? It is not possible at all
- If we change our consciousness to Krsna type of consciousness, or Krsna consciousness, that is perfection of our life. The process is: by chanting Hare Krsna we keep always alive to Krsna consciousness
- If we chant Hare Krsna mantra according to the instructions . . . Sankhya-purvaka-nama-gana-natibhih (Sad-goswamy-astaka 6). We have to practice. Because Gosvamis, they kept a number, a numerical strength
- If we chant offensively, then we remain in the material world. Bhaktivinoda Thakura has said, namaksara bahiraya nama nahi haya. It is mechanical, "Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna," but still it is not Hare Krsna
- If we chant the holy name of the Lord, we become purified, our heart becomes cleansed, and we can understand the aim of life, the goal of life, and in this way everything can be adjusted very nicely
- If we chant this vibration of transcendental sound with devotion and with attention, that is the highest type of meditation and yoga. And very easy
- If we choose to see the image merely as a piece of wood or stone, Krsna will always remain wood or stone for us. Krsna is everywhere, but as we advance in spiritual consciousness we can begin to see Him as He is
- If we choose, we can immediately become great souls by surrendering to Krsna, but because we have doubts whether or not Krsna is actually the Supreme we have to take time to dissipate these doubts through study of the scriptures
- If we claim to be human being, born in India, it is our duty to understand the value of life from Bhagavad-gita and preach this cult to others to do real welfare activities
- If we come here and take the impression and simply think of Him, our life is perfect. This is Krsna consciousness. What is the difficulty and what is your loss? If you gain such big profit simply by thinking of Krsna, why should you lose this opportunity
- If we commit some sinful activity and if we plead in the court, "My dear judge, I did not know the law," so this kind of pleading will not help him. Ignorance is no excuse
- If we concentrate our energies for spreading the message of Lord Caitanya all over the world, that will be right missionary activities on behalf of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada
- If we concentrate our loving propensities upon Krsna only, then immediately universal love, unity and tranquillity will be automatically realized

- If we daily manufacture a kind of dharma according to my concoction or we accept everything as real dharma, that is a mistake. Dharma means the order given by God, and if you follow that, or execute that order as Arjuna did, then you are dharmika
- If we depend on God's creation, there will be no scarcity, but simply ananda, bliss. God's creation provides sufficient grains and grass, and while we eat the grains and fruits, the animals like the cows will eat the grass
- If we depend on the choice of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we will receive benedictions in greater opulence than we desire
- If we desire this (be engaged in Krsna's service birth after birth), Krsna will give us the opportunity. After all, Krsna is everything. He is brahma-jyotir and Paramatma also
- If we develop this (demoniac) kind of characteristic, then it is our material bondage. So we are the cause of material bondage and freedom from material world
- If we disassociate ourselves from the three modes of material nature, our real spiritual nature is invoked. That is the process of Krsna consciousness
- If we dismantle the house of the material body and become zero, we attain nirvana. Nirvana means the cessation of pleasure and pain
- If we divide the tip of a hair into one hundred parts and then take one part and divide this into another one hundred parts, that ten-thousandth part is the dimension of the living entity. This is the verdict of the chief Vedic mantras
- If we do impious work, we may have to take birth in a low class or animal family, or become illiterate or foolish, or very ugly. Although we engage in very pious work & take a good birth, we will still be subject to the stringent laws of action & reaction
- If we do not accept Krsna as authority and take His words as they are, we cannot derive any benefit from Bhagavad-gita. It is not dogmatic; it is a fact. If we study scrutinizingly what Krsna says, we will find that it is right
- If we do not act in Krsna consciousness we shall be entangled, like silkworms in cocoons. The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna, appears in order to teach us how to work so that we will not be entangled in this material world
- If we do not atone for sinful activities committed while in this body, we will have to suffer in the next body because we will get another body according to karma (yam yam vapi smaran bhavam tyajaty ante kalevaram (BG 8.6)). That is nature's law
- If we do not attribute inconceivable potencies to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we cannot establish His supremacy
- If we do not believe in the scriptures, that is a different question, but if we have faith in the authority of such descriptions, then we must prepare for our freedom in the next life; that is possible in this human form of life
- If we do not care for self-realization, the laws of nature force us to work very hard, even though we may not want to do so. Human beings in this age have been forced to work hard like the asses and bullocks that pull carts
- If we do not change our consciousness in this life, whatever we do in the name of social, political, religious or communal and national welfare will be the cause of our bondage. This means we have to continue in material, conditional life
- If we do not come to the stage of sattva-guna in this human life, then, as Narottama dasa Thakura sings, hari hari viphale janama gonainu - there is no profit in gaining this human form of life
- If we do not decorate Krsna, if we decorate our personal body, then gradually it will be finished. You'll be forced to become naked, what to speak of decoration? This is the way of nature
- If we do not disturb a pond, the mud will settle to the bottom. This yoga process is the means to quiet the mind and allow all these thoughts (memories of events that happened ten, twenty, thirty or forty years ago) to settle
- If we do not follow regulations in life for social tranquillity, we cannot expect peace. Rather, we will have to undergo the stringent reactions of natural laws
- If we do not follow sixteen rounds, where is the question of chanting Hare Krsna? So don't be artificial; don't be, I mean to say, a show bottle. Be real thing. And that is wanted. If you want real benefit of spiritual life, don't be show bottle
- If we do not follow strictly our regulative principles, routine work, then the whole scheme will be failure. Then, instead of Christianity it will be "churchianity." Everywhere this churchianity is going on. And the real aim is how to enjoy sense
- If we do not follow the right person, mahajana - mahajano yena gatah sa panthah (CC Madhya 17.186): then however I may be great in the estimation of the innocent public, that is wrong path
- If we do not go forward to liberation, we promote a civilization of cats and dogs. Eating, sleeping, mating, defending, fearing and dying are all experienced by cats and dogs, but human life is meant for another purpose
- If we do not go through the authorities, we shall take Krsna as ordinary boy or man, as it is warned in the Bhagavad-gita
- If we do not inquire, if we do not try to understand what is Brahman, then we must be frustrated
- If we do not know beyond this body, then we are no better than animal, sa eva go-kharah
- If we do not know God or His orders, we can only set about manufacturing some rubbish and fighting among ourselves. This is not dharma but philosophical speculation
- If we do not know what is the value of sandalwood, if we use it for cooking and burning . . . similarly, if we use this human form of life exactly like the cats and dogs, simply for sense gratification, then we are committing suicide
- If we do not know who is the Supreme Lord, if we do not know what is the order of the Supreme Lord, then where is religion? That is not religion. That may go on in the name of religion, but that is cheating
- If we do not love Krsna, then our hearts will be harder and harder and harder. Heart is there for love, but why you are so hard-hearted?
- If we do not perform our duties in this manner, for the satisfaction of Visnu, then certainly all and any work done by us will produce nothing but poisonous material results, and ultimately there will be disaster in the world
- If we do not properly execute our mission of life in self-realization, nature's punishment will render us inactive by putting us in the form of trees and hills
- If we do not take advantage of this human form of life and try to understand ourself and God, then we are simply cats and dogs. That is going on. We are fighting like cats and dogs
- If we do not take care of this, that "What I am going to become next life?" if you simply waste your time simply on the matter of eating, sleeping, mating and defense, then we are wasting our time
- If we do not take direction from the Vedas but act whimsically according to our own choice, we are sure to be punished by the laws of the Lord, who offers different types of bodies in the 8,400,000 species of forms
- If we do not take to devotional service in Krsna consciousness, we have to remain within this material world and endure the repetition of birth and death due to the effects of jnana-kanda and karma-kanda
- If we do not take to Krsna consciousness, our life is very risky. Everything is explained in Bhagavad-gita. Therefore, to learn how to become free from the miserable condition of material existence, Bhagavad-gita As It Is is the preliminary study
- If we do not try to understand in this form of life, "What is God, what I am, what is our relationship," then we are committing suicide
- If we do not try to understand Krsna through the authorities, we shall be misled
- If we do not understand even the ABCD of spiritual knowledge, then where is the progress?
- If we do not understand Govinda, govinda-carana-dvayam, then it is viphala. It is simply misused. The modern civilization, they do not know this. This Krsna consciousness movement is meant for educating people that "You are simply wasting your time"
- If we do not understand our position, if we remain in the same category, bodily concept of life, then we are missing the chance. After all, you have to change this body. It is not permanent settlement that you shall remain Indian, American. No
- If we do not utilize this human form of life for spiritual cultivation, then we are practically committing suicide
- If we do not want to be punished, we have to follow the rules and regulations (sad-dharma). Dharma means "the laws given by God." Dharmam tu saksad bhagavat-pranitam - SB 6.3.19
- If we do not wish to be bewildered we have to understand Krsna in truth from Krsna Himself or His bona fide representative
- If we do not work according to the rules and regulation of nature, then we have to accept another body, and we do not know what kind of body you are going to accept. But it will be a gift by nature. Prakrteh kriyamanani
- If we do not, engage our particular propensities in the service of the Lord, then we are fallen, just like a useless limb amputated from the body
- If we do something against the moral principles, we are liable to be punished. But Krsna does not become affected by any papa. Apapa-viddham. That is His nature
- If we do something which is punishable, I may avoid the state law, but I cannot avoid God's law. That is not possible
- If we don't come to this platform, then we remain animals. So this Krsna consciousness movement means we are trying to bring human being to the platform of spiritual consciousness or real human being
- If we don't cultivate the spiritual side, simply we take care of the bodily side, then we remain animals. And because people are taking only care for the body, this is animal civilization
- If we don't get out of this struggle (Where is food? Where is sex? Where is shelter? How to defend?) for existence, we'll have to do them again in many, many future lives. So these things should be stopped
- If we don't take advantage of these literatures, all our education is for nothing
- If we don't understand what is God, what is Krsna and our relationship with Him, then we are missing the point
- If we don't utilize this human form of life to understand ourselves and God and our relationship, then we are committing a suicidal policy
- If we drink this nectar (bhagavad-gita), very soon the brilliant sunshine of transcendental knowledge will dispel the darkness of ignorance caused by our unwanted material desires
- If we eat earth transformed into grain, our body is nourished, and it becomes strong. But if we eat dirt in its crude state, the body becomes diseased instead of nourished, and thus it is destroyed
- If we endeavor to improve our Krsna consciousness, the distresses of material life will disappear without extraneous endeavor
- If we engage our money in constructing a gorgeous temple, we are freed from the reactions of our endeavors. This is for our benefit
- If we engage our senses in the service of Krsna, we shall no longer be servants of the senses, but masters of the senses
- If we engage our speech in describing the activities of the Lord and our ears in hearing about His pastimes, and if we follow the regulative principles to keep the mind intact for advancing in Kc, we shall certainly be elevated to the spiritual platform
- If we examine all persons, we will find that everyone has a beginning, but when we approach a person who has no beginning, He is the Supreme Person
- If we examine how much time He devoted to killing and how much time He devoted to protecting, we shall find that He devoted more time to killing
- If we examine human affairs in the light of the caste system as created by the Personality of Godhead, surely we can visualize the four social orders functioning in every part of the world
- If we execute devotional service with some material purpose, that purpose may be served, but you cannot rise to the transcendental platform
- If we execute Krsna consciousness sincerely, if you execute till it is finished, then immediately - tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti kaunteya. Even if you have finished certain percentage, still there is chance of perfection, it is such nice thing
- If we execute this varnasrama-dharma rightly, then we gradually make progress towards spiritual realization. It is so arranged in that way, brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya, sudra, not by birth but by qualification
- If we fall down from Krsna, our spiritual power and illumination are extinguished
- If we falsely claim that sitting here for one hour or half an hour, we have become proprietor, that is false impression. So one has to understand that we are neither proprietor nor enjoyer. God is the enjoyer, and God is the proprietor
- If we falsely claim that, "I am also the supreme consciousness," that will be a false claim. We are not actually the supreme consciousness. Qualitatively, we are one
- If we falsely claim that, "I am God," then we have to show godly power. Unless we show godly power, simply claiming that "I am God," that is dambha, that is false pride
- If we falsely claim that, "I am God. I am that supreme consciousness," it is our lunacy. We should not indulge in that way, and anyone teaching in that way, that is a cheating. It is not possible
- If we falsely want to become predominators in this material world, we are in illusion. We must give up this illusion and always try to be predominated by Krsna. Then our life will be successful
- If we feed Krsna nice food, we will forget to satisfy our own tongue by going to this or that restaurant
- If we fight amongst ourselves that, "I am proprietor of India; you are proprietor of America; you are proprietor of Germany," this is false conception of life. Real proprietor is Krsna
- If we find Krsna's association, we can easily give up our opulent positions - our family, business and everything. However, that requires sadhu-sanga (CC Madhya 22.83), association with a sadhu, a devotee
- If we fix up our saranagati, surrender to the Supreme, then there is no question of falling down. Mam eva ye prapadyante mayam etam taranti te
- If we follow a particular type of philosopher, that is also not perfect, because I may be under the care of a philosopher, frog philosopher. So that is also not sure
- If we follow Arjuna and Krsna, then we get the perfect knowledge. May not be cent per cent perfect, but as far as possible, if we follow the instruction as it is, that much perfect. In this way one will get perfection
- If we follow Arjuna, Arjuna's decision should be taken. Arjuna decision is - Krsna is param brahma
- If we follow Arjuna, then we understand Bhagavad-gita as it is. But if we don't follow Arjuna, if we follow somebody, Dr. Frog, or create our own interpretation, then we remain impure
- If we follow Bhagavad-gita from all angles of vision - social, political, economical, religious, cultural - you will be perfect. This is Bhagavad-gita
- If we follow God, then we become good. If we follow God or God's representative, then we also become good. Because God is always good. A good cannot give you bad direction
- If we follow in the footsteps of Arjuna to understand Krsna, then our life will be happy and successful. Sanjaya realized this, and as he began to understand it, he related the conversation to Dhrtarastra. BG 1972 purports
- If we follow in the footsteps of such great personalities (as Lord Siva and Lord Brahma) and become devotees of Lord Krsna, our lives will become successful. Unfortunately people do not know this secret
- If we follow our predecessors, our Gosvamis, who were all ministers . . . But they came to Vrndavana to practice. What? Nidrahara-viharakadi-vijitau, to conquer over sleeping, eating and mating
- If we follow the direction and instruction of Caitanya Mahaprabhu or Krsna under the guidance of a superior, bona fide spiritual master, then we associate with Krsna or Caitanya Mahaprabhu without any deviation
- If we follow the direction of Krsna, how to appreciate Him, then naturally and surely we shall come to the point to understand Krsna, although He is all-expansive
- If we follow the instruction of acarya, or spiritual master, then we are directly following the orders of Krsna, and thus I become a bhagavad-duta. No more I am the duta or the follower of the dictation of my senses
- If we follow the instruction of Bhagavad-gita and Krsna, then all problems will be solved. It is not a sectarian religious sentiment or fanaticism. It is not that. It is a science - social science, political science, cultural science
- If we follow the instruction of Bhagavad-gita, then whole world will be . . . this is a fact. Now, how to implement it, that is another thing. But it is a fact
- If we follow the instruction of the spiritual master and execute devotional service to the Lord, we will remain always free from the contamination of bodily and material activities, and our life will be successful
- If we follow the parampara system strictly, then the effect will be the same. As it was five thousand years ago, five hundred years ago, the same effect will be now also
- If we follow the rules and regulations, gradually the mind will come under control. There are so many don'ts and so many dos, and if one is serious about training the mind, he has to follow them
- If we forget Krsna, if we make our own plan to satisfy myself, community, society, nation, this is forgetfulness, and the result will be gata-smrtir vindati tatra tapan. You get simply trouble
- If we forget the purpose of human life and simply take supplies from the agents of the Lord for sense gratification and become more and more entangled in material existence, which is not the purpose of creation, certainly we become thieves
- If we fully depend on Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, then He will guide us how to make progress back to home, back to Godhead
- If we get chance to meet again, I want to discuss frankly how we may co-operatively push on this Krishna Consciousness movement, especially in India. Let us see what Krishna desires
- If we get right information from the right person, that is perfect knowledge. If you want to reach to the conclusion by speculation, that is imperfect - inductive process. That will never become perfect
- If we give a swan milk mixed with water, the swan will take the milk and leave aside the water. Similarly, this material world is made of two natures - the inferior nature and the superior nature
- If we give service in ignorance, without knowing what is wanted, that kind of service may lead us to become punished. So we must know what kind of service we shall give
- If we give up the association of sadhus, saintly persons engaged in Krsna consciousness, and associate with persons seeking sense gratification and accumulating wealth for this purpose, our life is spoiled
- If we give up the process of understanding as Arjuna did, then you'll never be able to understand Krsna, or God. That is not possible. You have to take up the process which Arjuna accepted
- If we give up this meat-eating, then so many lifes of the poor animals will be saved. So that is sadhu, no meat-eating
- If we glorify the devotees, the character of the devotees, before the Lord, He's more pleased than to glorify Himself, directly
- If we go deep into the water, we find aquatics; if we go into the sky, we find so many birds. How is it possible to conclude that other planets have no living entities
- If we go deeply into the matter and consider it in the light of modern science, it is possible for us to see that sanatana-dharma is the business of all the people of the world. BG 1972 Introduction
- If we go further toward a hill, we shall find that there is something distinct - a hill. And if we go all the way to the hill itself, we shall find many people working there, many houses, streets, cars, and so many varied things
- If we go in the pravrtti-marga, increase our sense gratification propensity, then we shall be entangled, and in this way . . . as human beings you have got advanced stage
- If we go on eating meat, then we revolt against the will of God, because God is the father of all living entities
- If we go still further, we can understand, "I am consciousness." And one who is further advanced can understand that the source of consciousness is the soul and, above all, the Supersoul
- If we go to a jeweler and say, "Can you give me a diamond?" he will understand that this is a fool. He could charge us any price for anything. That kind of searching will not do at all
- If we go to a store to purchase some gold or jewelry and we know nothing about jewels or gold, we are likely to be cheated
- If we go to live on the moon - assuming it is possible - even with an oxygen mask, how long could we stay? Furthermore, even if we had the opportunity to stay there, what would we gain?
- If we go to the African slums, they are poverty-stricken, wretched. So this civilization will not endure. If there is no culture, simply by money you cannot maintain a standard of civilization. That is not possible
- If we go to the jungle we shall see that all the elephants, lions, tigers, and other animals are very stout and strong. Who is supplying them food
- If we go to the ocean, there also we shall find a form, like that of a big circle. Without form there is nothing; everything has form, even that which is supposedly impersonal
- If we go village to village. The village people are still pure, at least not so polluted as the town people, or especially the so-called educated
- If we have a strong sense of love for the Supreme Lord, then we can discharge our duty and at the same time remember Him. But we have to develop that sense of love. BG 1972 Introduction
- If we have a very good ship, we can easily cross the Atlantic Ocean. At present we are in the midst of the ocean of ignorance, for this material world has been likened to a great ocean of nescience
- If we have actually found out a person who is self-realized and we have surrendered there honestly, with enquiry and service, then we must know that our spiritual salvation is guaranteed. Guaranteed. There is no doubt about it
- If we have actually understood our relationship with Krsna, and if we try to serve Him sincerely, then Krsna will give you all facilities. He'll give you intelligence
- If we have any knowledge of Bhagavad-gita, we have to see how it tallies with the understanding of Arjuna
- If we have associated with the tamo-guna, the quality of darkness, ignorance, then I will be gliding down to the animal life
- If we have faith in banks and airlines, why not have faith in Sri Krsna who is acknowledged by so many Vedic literatures and by so many sages to be the supreme authority
- If we have first-class food, we should offer it to Him. If we have nothing, we can offer Him a leaf, a flower, a little water or fruit. This can he collected by anyone anywhere without having to pay money
- If we have got a tinge of spiritual qualification, that will go with you, because you are spirit soul, you are eternal. Therefore whatever spiritual activities you do, that is also eternal
- If we have got faith in the words of Krsna - they are very openly spoken - then our life becomes successful. But we have no faith in Krsna. They take Krsna as ordinary human being
- If we have got firm faith in guru and firm faith in Krsna - guru-krsna-krpaya paya bhakti-lata-bija (CC Madhya 19.151) - then you get the seedling of bhakti-lata
- If we have got least desire for material enjoyment, Krsna will give us chance again to accept a body which will satisfy the senses
- If we have got our own press, we can earn some money by outside work when there is on pressure of our own work. So this is very important subject matter and keep me informed about the advancement of the idea
- If we have got unflinching faith and devotion to the lotus feet of Krsna, then we can automatically become niskincana, liberated, developed in economic condition. That is not important thing for a devotee. They come automatically
- If we have no information of the spiritual activity, then we have to come back again to this material activity. That is practical example. There are many sannyasis. They so-called merging into Brahman, but they come back in material activities
- If we have sufficient devotion, the image will also speak to us. God is everywhere impersonally, but if we make His personal form from anything, or if we create an image of God within ourselves, He will be present personally for us
- If we have the boat of perfect knowledge, there is no fear, for we can cross the ocean very easily. Even if a person is most sinful, if he receives the boat of the science of Krsna, he can cross the ocean very easily
- If we have the same relationship with Krsna, we will never be cheated or disappointed. Our enthusiasm will increase more and more. Therefore Krsna encourages us to accept Him as our son, as our friend and as our master. Then we will be happy
- If we hear about Krsna, we become purified. Hearing about Krsna means associating with Krsna. In this way we may perfect our lives
- If we hear the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead from liberated persons, this hearing will certainly free us from the bondage of material activities
- If we human beings, if we forget even ordinary mercy, compassion and gratefulness, then what is that human life?
- If we imitate the cats and dog, without any discrimination, if we eat, then my next body is ready, the hog's body or the dog's body
- If we increase our attachment for Krsna, detachment or renunciation of this material world will automatically come - bhaktih paresanubhavo viraktir anyatra ca, SB 11.2.42
- If we increase our love for Krsna, then Krsna becomes purchased by us. Krsna agrees. Krsna is the order-giver for everyone, but He accepts the order of the devotee
- If we increase our memory, then we approach godly nature
- If we indulge in these things - illicit sex life, meat-eating and intoxication and gambling - then they become the four pillars of sinful life. And if we take them away, then they become . . . the prohibited portion becomes the pillars of perfect life
- If we infect some disease knowingly or unknowingly - generally we infect unknowingly - later on that disease becomes developed. This is law of nature
- If we join with Krsna, we also enjoy the varieties of pleasure eternally in the spiritual world. That is success of life
- If we just accept the principle of surrender unto Krsna, we will become actually transcendental to so-called material happiness
- If we just stick to the Krsna conscious method, all information about Krsna and His kingdom will be revealed
- If we keep displeasing our supreme father, we shall never be happy within this material world, in either the upper or lower planetary systems
- If we keep our mentality like cats and dog and outwardly we dress very nicely, they have been described as dvi-pada-pasuh, "two-legged animal." Animal. He is animal, because he is not cultivating Krsna consciousness
- If we keep our minds always absorbed in fruitive activities for material enjoyment, then naturally at the time of death we shall think of such activities and again be forced to enter material, conditioned bodies
- If we keep ourself on the bodily concept of life, and then we are defeated. This is the verdict of the sastra
- If we keep ourselves in KC always, we cannot be influenced by the darkness of ignorance; rather, we shall always walk very freely in the bright sunshine of Krsna. Kuntidevi therefore prays that Krsna continue to be present with her and the Pandavas
- If we keep the mind engaged in material activities for sense gratification, it will cause continuous bondage and will make us remain in this material world in different bodies, suffering the consequences of our different actions
- If we know our relationship with God, we can act very nicely, and that is peaceful life
- If we know the supreme father, and if we live according to the father's order, so there is question of antagonism, dissension
- If we know what is our actual aim of life . . . the actual aim of life should be back to home, back to Godhead. Then this human form of life is successful
- If we lead a pious life, we can understand God. This Krsna consciousness movement is engaged in training people to this end so that their lives will be successful
- If we leave this material body in Krsna consciousness, we will no longer have to return to the material world. The point is to avoid this material existence altogether. It is not a question of improving our condition in the material world
- If we like, we can keep on this material side of the nature, and if we like, we can transfer ourself to the spiritual side of nature
- If we listen to Krsna and understand what and who He is, we can actually understand Vedanta. If we do not understand Krsna but advertise ourselves as Vedantists, we are just being illusioned
- If we live in the temple, we live in the spiritual world because in the temple there is no business other than Krsna consciousness. There are so many engagements carried out for Krsna
- If we living entities want to actually associate with Radharani, that may be possible, although She is not an ordinary woman. We can become associates of Radharani by qualifying ourselves in advanced devotional service
- If we look as far as we can see - up to the sky - our vision is still confined within only one universe, and there are unlimited universes clustered together within what is called the material world
- If we love God, we love everything. But if we do not love God, it is not possible to love anything. We may think that it is love, but it is simply a glamorized form of lust
- If we love Krsna as our son, He will never die. If we love Krsna as our lover, He will be the best of all, and there will be no separation. Because Krsna is the Supreme Lord, He is unlimited and has an unlimited number of devotees
- If we love the supreme consciousness, Supreme Person, who has got universal consciousness, then automatically my service goes to everywhere
- If we make a study of the general life of the animals, we can see that they have no intelligence for building big houses, furniture, and other household paraphernalia, and yet they maintain a healthy life by lying down on the open land
- If we make our country the center of attraction, we designate ourselves with some limiting and divisive national label, such as - Bengali, Punjabi, or - English
- If we make our progressive life engaged in understanding Krsna instead of devoting in these unnecessary things, that is real life. That is real human life. The Vedic civilization is that
- If we make progress like this, hearing and chanting and thinking (about God), and applying our knowledge, and try to understand, then the result will be asu - very soon
- If we misunderstand Krsna and take Him to be a human being like us, we become mudhas, fools. Krsna's body is not composed of material elements like ours, and if we think this way, we are mistaken
- If we misuse our intelligence and do not take advice from Krsna and manufacture so many plans for prosperity, that will all fail
- If we misuse this human form of life like animals, then we are punishable. Then you have to go to the Yamaraja, and he will judge what kind of body you'll get
- If we misuse this human form of life only like animals, eating, sleeping, sex and fearing, then we are spoiling our life. We must prepare next life. If we don't, then after death we have to go to the Yamaraja, and he will decide what kind of next body
- If we neglect Krsna's devotees and simply try to go directly to Krsna, Krsna is not so cheap. Krsna wants to see, just like there is a common word, If you love me, love my dog
- If we neglect these principles, Maya will capture us immediately. Maya is always ready. We are in the ocean, and at any moment we may be disturbed. Therefore one who is not disturbed at all is called paramahamsa
- If we no longer want to be in such a fearful condition, we have to take shelter at the lotus feet of Krsna. Krsna is begging us to come to Him because we are all His sons
- If we offer him a piece of fruit, a leaf and water with love, saying, "Krsna, I am so poor that I cannot secure anything. I have secured this fruit and a leaf. Kindly accept them." Such an offering would make Krsna very glad
- If we offer palatable dishes to the Deity with the intention of eating such nice food, we are involved in trying to satisfy the demands of the tongue
- If we offer something to Lord, oh, that is rewarded in many millions of times. So we should not expect. The Lord is always serious to return the service of the servant, of His devotee
- If we offer something to the Lord, it is returned millions of times. But we should not expect this
- If we open our heart, then open-heartedly, then it will be nice. No reservation. And that open-heartedness means free from designation
- If we organize a business, we have many anxieties. The managing director or proprietor of the business particularly has many anxieties
- If we paint a picture of a flower, we have to arrange many facets, and still the picture will not be absolutely perfect. Yet the flower created by Krsna has come out perfectly. What rascal can say that there is no brain behind it
- If we participate in that eternal enjoyment with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we become happy. We cannot become happy otherwise. BG 1972 Introduction
- If we pass our life in Krsna consciousness, we get our spiritual body, which is not different from the soul
- If we pass the examination (at the time of death), we are transferred to the spiritual world. Our whole life is examined at the time of death
- If we perform some nonsensical action and think, "I am doing this for Krsna," that will not be accepted. The work must be verified by Krsna's acceptance or by the acceptance of Krsna's representative
- If we perform this sacrifice nicely, according to the rules recommended by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, we are sure to get salvation. Niscitam. Niscitam means sure
- If we place our hand before a light, we can see its shadow move on a wall. Similarly, material nature is working due to the touch of spirit soul
- If we place our loving tendency unto Krsna, Vasudeva, then that tendency becomes fruitful and perfection. That is wanted

- If we properly understand that we are not the body, although we may suffer, we will not feel the suffering as acutely
- If we properly utilize the instructions of Bhagavad-gita, then our whole life will become purified, and ultimately we will be able to reach the destination which is beyond this material sky. BG 1972 Introduction
- If we purify our existence and attain spiritual existence, we will experience unlimited peace and happiness
- If we purify our existence simply by following the basic regulations of KC, which involve abstaining from illicit sexual connection, meat-eating, intoxication & gambling, we will gradually rise to attain our spiritual existence, which is completely pure
- If we purify our existential condition by tapasya, then we come into our spiritual existence and we can enjoy our life eternally
- If we purify our senses, on the other hand, we can come to the spiritual platform. Real happiness lies in engaging our senses to satisfy the senses of Krsna
- If we purify the senses, that "I am spirit soul. The Supreme Spirit Soul is Krsna. I am part and parcel of Krsna; therefore it is my duty to serve Krsna," then you become free immediately
- If we put a letter into a mailbox, it will go to its destination because the mailbox is authorized. Similarly, if we worship an authorized image of God, our faith will have some effect
- If we put iron into a fire, it becomes hot, and then it becomes red-hot, and finally it is no longer iron, but fire - whatever it touches bursts into flames
- If we read life of Krsna, we can see that He's Krsna, God, from the very beginning of His birth. God is not manufactured by some mystic power. God is God, and dog is dog. A dog cannot become God; God cannot become dog. That is difference
- If we read the entire Bhagavad-gita every day, all eighteen chapters, in each reading we shall find a new explanation. That is the nature of transcendental literature
- If we really come to the platform of spiritual consciousness, or Krsna consciousness, then we become immediately one. Oneness
- If we really want freedom from the miseries of material existence, we must minimize our bodily demands and pleasures
- If we really want to cultivate the human spirit in society we must have first-class intelligent men to guide the society, and to develop the finer tissues of our brains we must assimilate vitamin values from milk
- If we receive information from the perfect source, Krsna, and if we repeat that information, then what we are speaking can also be accepted as perfect and authoritative
- If we receive knowledge from an ordinary man, there will be many defects. An ordinary person is subject to illusion, and he also has the tendency to cheat
- If we reduce the bodily conception, suffering will also be reduced
- If we reestablish our relationship, or our original relationship with Krsna, and Krsna is for everyone, therefore I become for everyone. That is real universal love
- If we regard this world as false, we fall into the category of asuras, who say that this world is unreal, with no foundation and no God in control - asatyam apratistham te jagad ahur anisvaram
- If we regularly chant this Hare Krsna mantra, then we remain freed from all sinful reaction of life and our attachment for the Supreme Lord in devotional service increases
- If we remain always with Krsna, then we acquire the qualities of Krsna. So God is all-good. Therefore I become good, by association with God
- If we remain in contact with that name (Krsna) we shall get all the benefits of Krsna's benedictions. But still we are not inclined to chant the Hare Krsna mantra. This is our misfortune
- If we remain in tamo-guna, ignorance, that, then we shall go down again to the lower species of life. This is the laws of nature
- If we remain in the material nature, then our whole struggle for existence will continue. It will never stop. But if you take to the spiritual nature, Brahman nature, you immediately becomes joyful
- If we remain in the sattva-guna, then we shall be promoted to the higher planetary system. If we remain in rajo-guna, then we shall remain where we are
- If we remain satisfied with our birth by our father and mother, we will remain in our condition as sudra. We have to rise to the brahminical platform by following the purificatory processes
- If we remain sincere and go on chanting, these dangers will be over. Don't be afraid. Don't stop your regular regulative principles and regular activities, program. Go on with it
- If we remain son of God or servant of God faithfully, then it is first-class religious system
- If we remain with maya, we should live in such a way that we will not be subject to illusion, as did the many householders among Lord Caitanya's closest devotees - CC Intro
- If we remain without knowing God, then we are simply animals. We are no better than animals. What is the use of becoming a human being? Eating, sleeping, mating - that is also animal’s business
- If we remember that the SS is indeed omnipresent, we can create a spiritual atmosphere by performing all our activities in relation to the SS, with everything directed by one who is a self-realized soul. Then the whole thing is transformed into spirit
- If we remember that the Supreme Spirit is indeed omnipresent, we can create a spiritual atmosphere by performing all our activities in relation to the Supreme Spirit, with everything directed by one who is a self-realized soul
- If we repeatedly think of Krsna, see Krsna, read of Krsna, work for Krsna, and somehow or other remain in Krsna consciousness, we benefit in such a way that we shall be saved from taking birth again in the material world. That is true benefit
- If we require knowledge, factual knowledge, we must receive it directly from the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is perfect knowledge
- If we revive our relationship with Krsna by the grace of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu our eternal relationship will never break to cause our lamentation
- If we satisfy Krsna, we shall become satisfied. If we offer nice food to Krsna, we shall also eat the same food
- If we say frankly, everyone is in the bodily concept of life. Therefore the modern civilization is animal civilization. It is not human civilization. Human civilization will begin when one will understand that - I am not this body. I am spirit soul
- If we say that Krsna is not physically present as He was present before Arjuna, still, His book, Bhagavad-gita, is there. And that Bhagavad-gita is nondifferent from Krsna. Krsna and Krsna's teaching, the same, absolute. That is Absolute Truth
- If we say that the Supreme Absolute Truth is impersonal, we mean that His personality is not material
- If we say, "Krsna, I surrender unto You. My Lord, I don't want anything material," then you are mukta, liberated. And if you keep the standard, maya will not touch you. Then after giving up this body, you go back to home, back to Godhead
- If we scrutinize the characters who took part in the Battle of Kuruksetra, we may find that Maharaja Yudhisthira was no less a pious king than Lord Ramacandra, and by character study Maharaja Yudhisthira was a better moralist than Lord Krsna
- If we scrutinize the religious systems meant for worship of demigods or anyone else but the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we will find that they are full of envy and therefore impure
- If we search to see who the father of our father is, and who his father is, and so on back, if it were somehow possible to trace our ancestry back through time, we would arrive at the Supreme Father, the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- If we see the universal affairs going on nicely, we must know that behind them is a good controller. And who is that controller? That controller is Krsna, as stated in BG (9.10). Therefore Kunti addresses Him as visvesa, the controller of the universe

- If we simply become inactive out of frustration, then it will be failure. We must engage with activities. That activity is devotional service. This is Brahman activity. The Mayavadis, they do not know

- If we simply concentrate our mind, that is real meditation, to think of Krsna - man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru (BG 18.65). Then everything will be cleansed automatically
- If we simply engage in Krsna consciousness, everything becomes clear. Otherwise we will have to make distinctions between what we should do and what we should not do in order not to become entangled
- If we simply fly in the sky, we can't have ananda. We have to descend to an airport at some time or another. If we simply rise to the Brahman effulgence, we do not experience ananda
- If we simply hear these topics on Krsna, then what will be the result? It is pure transcendental vibration, and the result will be spiritual consciousness
- If we simply learn how to love Krsna, we can immediately transform this world into Vrndavana
- If we simply live and try to become naked like the cats and dogs and bark, then where is the difference? Where is the difference? No difference. So we must take to religious system. That is humanity
- If we simply place ourselves at the lotus feet of Krsna by taking to KC & keeping always in touch with Him by chanting Hare Krsna , we need not take much trouble in arranging to return to the spiritual world. By the mercy of Mahaprabhu, this is very easy
- If we simply plead for Krsna's glance, there will be no question of scarcity or need. Everything will be complete. The idea of the Krsna consciousness movement, therefore, is to depend on nature's gifts and the grace of Krsna
- If we simply regard the lotus feet of Krsna as our ultimate shelter, we shall be saved from all these waves of maya, which are variously exhibited as mental and sensual activities and the agitation of rejection and acceptance
- If we simply sit down and hear, we become pious. And as soon as we become pious, then we can understand what is Krsna, what is God. If we are involved or implicated in sinful activities, there is no chance
- If we simply speak to people about Krsna consciousness, we are also rendering service
- If we simply stick to these principles of kevala bhakti, even simply by hearing, sravanam . . . just like we are holding class everywhere, in every center. If somebody simply hears attentively, he'll be perfect
- If we simply study our own bodies, we can understand how a living entity is always aloof from this bodily encagement. Every action of the body takes place by the interactions of the three modes of material nature
- If we simply surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we shall get out of the clutches of this material existence
- If we simply take one side of the Supreme Personality of Godhead - His impersonal effulgence - that one side does not fully explain the Absolute Truth
- If we simply take this course, that dedicate life to Krsna and dedicate life to Vaisnava, then our life will be successful

- If we simply think of only this one verse, which describes Krsna's body with reference to the lotus, we can meditate our whole life on how beautiful Krsna is, how wise Krsna is, and how Krsna manifests His creation. This is meditation - thinking of Krsna
- If we simply try to engage in the congregational chanting of the glories of Lord Anantadeva, the dirty things in our hearts, accumulated during many births, will immediately be washed away
- If we simply try to explain how Krsna is great, how God is great, that is sufficient service. That is complete service: sravanam kirtana
- If we simply try to see the effulgent brahma-jyoti, we are unable to see within it. One of the mantras in the Isopanisad therefore petitions the Lord to wind up His effulgence so that He can be seen properly
- If we simply understand that we are not the body, that we are spirit soul, our knowledge is insufficient. We must also act as Brahman; then our position will be fixed
- If we simply utilize this intelligence for the same purpose as the cats and dogs are engaged, then it is not proper utilization. The proper utilization is Vedanta. Athato brahma jijnasa
- If we simply waste our time for increasing unnecessary necessities of life and do not try to understand the value of life, then we remain animal
- If we simply worship the original person (adi-purusam), we need not fear being misled by, anyone
- If we some way or other able to give up this false dress, then we reach that spiritual kingdom, God's kingdom
- If we sow the small seed of a banyan tree in good soil and favor it with water, it will grow because the spirit soul is present. But if we were to fry such a seed in fire and then sow it, it would fail to grow because the spirit soul would not be there
- If we speculate about God, that will never be sufficient. Not even we can touch the precincts of the knowledge. If we want knowledge without any doubt, asamsayam, samagram, and complete, then we must hear from God
- If we speculate, we shall never reach the Absolute Truth. That is not possible. Because our power is very limited. How long I shall speculate? This is called kupa-manduka-nyaya
- If we stick to that activities (engage our energy to satisfy Krsna) on the spiritual platform, then, as assured by Lord Krsna, after leaving this body, we go back to Krsna, Vrndavana, go back to Godhead, back to home. That is our eternal, peaceful life
- If we stop work, and for spiritual realization, we leave this world and go to the jungle or Himalaya and sit down there for meditation for spiritual realization, oh, how many people will be ready to do this thing? No. This is not for mass people
- If we study Bhagavad-gita according to academic knowledge or according to our own mental speculation, we are certain to commit mistakes. It is not possible to understand Bhagavad-gita in this way
- If we study Bhagavad-gita as a literary treatise and then throw it away, that is not faith
- If we study Bhagavad-gita as it is, our life will be perfect, undoubtedly. But unfortunately, we also misinterpret Bhagavad-gita according to our own whims, and therefore we are misguiding
- If we study Bhagavad-gita very carefully, you understand everything. A little brain required
- If we study our finger and consider whether or not we are the finger, we will come to the conclusion that we are not the finger or any other part of the body, but that the finger, the arms, the legs, the head, etc. are our fingers, arms, legs, etc
- If we study the history of Krsna's life, we shall find that for most of His life He predominantly engaged in killing demons one after another
- If we study the history of the world, we see that it is simply a history of struggle. Mankind attempts to relieve its miserable condition, but it simply brings about another miserable condition. As we try to overcome one problem, another problem arises
- If we study the living entities in the cosmic manifestation, it will appear that they are not different from the original Absolute Truth
- If we study this picture (of a demon struggling with a lion, and the Goddess Durga is pulling the demon's hair) we can determine that we are the demon and that the trident is the threefold miseries of material existence from which we are always suffering
- If we study very minutely, then we are not following the leadership but we are following our particular lust
- If we study, "Is our body eternal?" No, sir. It is temporary, say, fifty years, sixty years, utmost hundred years. So it is not eternal, it is not sat
- If we submissively give aural reception to these messages, as it is described in the Caitanya-caritamrta by Lord Caitanya, that will help us - Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Caitanya-caritamrta
- If we subtract Krsna, everything is zero. This is a fact, but people are such rascals that they do not understand this fact. But who can deny it
- If we supply food to the stomach, we do not have to feed the eyes, hands and legs separately. Similarly, if we worship Krsna, the source of everything, no other worship is necessary
- If we take a flower and see its constitution, how it is made and how its colors are displayed and how it comes into existence, we can see Krsna. We can see how Krsna has created such a beautiful thing so intelligently
- If we take advantage of the presentation given by Krsna, if you practice Krsna consciousness, then there is opportunity of becoming fully, cent percent perfect. We have to take advantage of it. That's all
- If we take Bhagavad-gita seriously, then we should follow the footprints of Arjuna as he understood. He accepted Krsna as the Parambrahman
- If we take directly to the worship of the Supreme Lord, worship of the demigods is not necessary
- If we take food from the houses of others, such as karmis, we shall have to share the qualities of those from whom we take alms. Therefore Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu took prasadam in the houses of Vaisnavas. This is the general process
- If we take instruction from Krsna and abide by that instruction, then our life is successful. Conveying that fact is our mission. This Krsna consciousness movement teaches, - Accept Krsna as your guru. Don't divert your attention

- If we take it upon ourselves to kill someone, we are subject to capital punishment by the state government. Our actions are then called vikarma, for they are against prescribed actions
- If we take Krsna's shelter, at least we shall get little intelligence. Dadami buddhi-yogam tam: "He gets the intelligence directly from Me." And that is wanted
- If we take leadership of Krsna, then our life is perfect
- If we take leadership of Krsna, then our life is perfect; we could properly utilize the utility of human life. Otherwise we have been mislead
- If we take only what we require, our food is tasty and we are healthy
- If we take protection of the civil laws, then we are happy. And if we take protection of the criminal laws, then we are unhappy. That's all
- If we take shelter of Krsna seriously, there will be no fear of being thrown back into the cycle of so many species of life. A sincere devotee will surely be transferred to the abode of Krsna, as affirmed in the Bhagavad-gita
- If we take shelter of Krsna, then we shall know, "Oh, now I have found shelter." Then there will be no more confusion, no more hopelessness
- If we take shelter of Nrsimhadeva and Prahlada Maharaja, it will be easier to kill the demons who are against Krsna and to thus reestablish Krsna's supremacy
- If we take shelter of the lotus feet of abhaya-caranaravinda re, Krsna, then this bhayam element, fearfulness element, will be completely nil
- If we take simply the advantage of the pious river, yat-tirtha-buddhih salile, but we don't care for the persons who are living there, very experienced, spiritually advanced persons, then we remain animals
- If we take Srimad-Bhagavatam as the real commentary on Vedanta-sutra, then we'll find that in the Srimad-Bhagavatam, kaler dosa-nidhe rajann asti hy eko mahan guna
- If we take Srimad-Bhagavatam as the real explanation of Vedanta-sutra, then we will understand Vedanta, the end of knowledge. And if we take shelter of the Mayavadi Vedantists, the bluffers, then we cannot understand Vedanta
- If we take the philosophers, so one philosopher differs from another philosopher. Na casav rsir yasya matam na bhinnam. Therefore, to approach the Absolute Truth, God, is very difficult subject matter
- If we take the position of Arjuna - sisyas te 'ham sadhi mam prapannam - then Krsna will speak to the disciple like Arjuna, and everything will be clear
- If we take the root meaning, Christian means Krishnian or Krishtian. So that is a controversial point, but everyone can take to Krsna. Then everything will be settled up
- If we take to Krsna consciousness with love and faith, full understanding of Krsna, that is the perfection of life
- If we take to Krsna consciousness with love and faith, full understanding of Krsna, that is the perfection of life. That you can get, everyone of us can get it, if we study Bhagavad-gita very carefully, without any malinterpretation
- If we take to Krsna consciousness, we become transcendental. We have nothing to do with these seasonal changes, or Kali-yuga. That is recommended
- If we take treatment under this Krsna consciousness Society, then we shall be cured of this material disease. Otherwise, we shall be again attacked with some kind of body. Vasamsi jirnani yatha vihaya
- If we take up seriously this movement, every one of us become completely aware of this movement and take this mission as Caitanya Mahaprabhu says, "Every one of you, you become a guru," by the order of Caitanya Mahaprabhu
- If we take up that causeless Mercy a little seriously than further causeless Mercies are bestowed one after another unceasingly. Krishna is more anxious to bestow His benediction upon us than we are ready to take it

- If we think of Krsna's virat-rupa, His universal form, what can we do? How can we dress the virat-rupa? His many heads cover the sky, and we cannot even conceive of Him. Krsna can become bigger than the biggest and smaller than the smallest
- If we think seriously, "Suppose if I would have been put into that condition, that 'Stand up here for five hundred or five thousand years. You cannot move an inch, and you bear all the sufferings, scorching heat, storm,' would I agree to do that?" No
- If we think that "Because I am now..., I have got a machine of chanting Hare Krsna, so I shall commit as much sin as possible and it will be counteracted by this process," oh, that is the greatest sin. You cannot do that
- If we think that because Krsna acts in a particular way - as on the battlefield He gave instructions to Arjuna to fight - He is bound by the reactions of His activities, we are mistaken. "Works do not defile Me," Sri Krsna says - na mam karmani limpanti
- If we think that krsna-nama, the holy name of Krsna, can nullify so many sinful activities, so if I commit little sinful activity and chant Hare Krsna, it will be nullified. No, don't think like that. That is the greatest sin
- If we think that we can be happy without Krsna consciousness, Krsna does not object to that. Yathecchasi tatha kuru (BG 18.63). After advising Arjuna, He simply said - Now I have explained everything to you. Whatever you desire, you can do
- If we think that we can use whatever wealth we have amassed for our own sense gratification, we are acting out of kama, lust. But if we come to understand that everything we have belongs to Krsna, we are liberated
- If we think this lump of matter as "myself," then we are no better than the dog
- If we think upon seeing a fish that it belongs to Krsna's family, we are mistaken. Of course, from another point of view, everything is Krsna, but Krsna is aloof from everything
- If we think we can be attached to Krsna and material things at the same time, we are mistaken. We cannot ignite a fire and at the same time pour water on it. If we do, the fire will not act
- If we throw a bag of grain into the street, pigeons may come and eat four or five small grains and then go away. They will not take more than they can eat, and having eaten they go freely on their way
- If we trace our father's father back, we will find that he was also a person, and that his father was a person, and so on all the way back to Lord Brahma, who was the first created person in this universe
- If we transfer our reading capacity for these Vedic literatures, as very kindly presented by Vyasadeva, then it is quite possible for us to remember at the time of death the Supreme Lord
- If we transfer ourselves from this body into the spiritual world - either to Krsnaloka (Krsna's planet) or any other spiritual planet - we will receive a similar sac-cid-ananda body

- If we try to repeat what we hear, we become established in knowledge. By the process of sravanam kirtanam (SB 7.5.23), hearing and chanting, we can become free from material conditioning and attain to the kingdom of God
- If we try to understand Bhagavad-gita as it is, then we have to accept a certain prescribed process. Not that because one is very erudite scholar academically, because one has got some degrees of the university he will be able to understand Bhagavad-gita
- If we try to understand God by our limited knowledge, it will be a failure. We have to understand God from God. Then that will be perfect knowledge. So this Bhagavad-gita is the science of God where God is speaking about Himself
- If we try to understand Krsna as He is speaking, as they are stated in the sastra, as it is accepted by the acaryas, then we can have some trace of the Absolute Truth
- If we try to understand Krsna by the speculative process, we will have to spend many lifetimes of speculation; but if we take to devotional service and just try to please Radharani, then Krsna can be very easily realized
- If we turn our attention to Krsna's service, to bhakti-yoga, we can force ourselves to give up all anarthas, unwanted things

- If we understand that everything belongs to God, so that sense will lead me: "No, I am not enjoyer." So my sense gratification, my anger, my lust, all finished at once, at stroke, if I understand that "Nothing belongs to me; everything belongs to God"
- If we utilize whatever we have in our possession to understand God, Krsna will prove that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. If we but accept this one fact, then all of our education is complete

- In the material world everyone is very busy dressing himself very nicely in order to be sexually attractive, but if we try to dress Krsna nicely, we will forget our own material dress
- In the material world, a friendship exists for a few years and then breaks; therefore it is called perverted, temporal, or unreal. If we make our friendship with Krsna, it will never break. If we make our master Krsna, we will never be cheated
- In the material world, if we repeat something once, twice, thrice or four times, it finally becomes hackneyed and disgusting. However, this Hare Krsna maha-mantra can be chanted twenty-four hours daily, and one will still feel fresh and enthusiastic
- In the material world, our father gives us our birth, and we are an entity separate from him. If we are suffering, do we say, "My dear father, I am suffering. Will you please once again make me one with you?" Is this a very good proposal

- Instead of serving our senses, if we serve the senses of Krsna, that is perfection of life. So you learn how to serve the senses of Krsna, you'll be happy. That's all
- Instead of wasting our time for economic development, which cannot give us any happiness, if we simply try to revive our eternal relationship with Krsna, we will properly utilize our lives

- It is certainly a very wonderful thing if we see a person on this planet flying in the sky without a vehicle, but in Vidyadhara-loka such flying is as commonplace as a bird's flying in the sky

- Krishna Consciousness is lying dormant in every living entity, just like fire is dormant within a match. If we simply strike the match, then the fire within will come in blazing light. Our method of striking the match is Hare Krishna mantra
- Krishna's another name is Madan-Mohan. When Krishna is within the heart, then the Madan or lusty desires become defeated. If we learn to love Krishna, our lusty desires will be finished, otherwise not
- Krsna and all the sastras say that our only obligation is to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. If we take to His service, we are no longer obliged to anyone. We are free
- Krsna can create millions of servants by His mere desire. So that is not the point. But if we surrender to Krsna, we shall be saved, for Krsna says, aham tvam sarva-papebhyo moksayisyami - I shall free you from all sinful reactions
- Krsna comes as a person like us, but we are such rascals that we think He is simply a man, and this is our misfortune. If we just surrender unto Krsna, we will no longer be subjected to the karma of different bodies
- Krsna comes Himself and leaves behind His words. His words are also Himself because His words are absolute. Presently we do not see Krsna, but if we actually advance, we will see Him
- Krsna consciousness means to understand these things (that if we contaminate sinful activities it may not be manifest immediately). It is not a bogus propaganda that, "You meditate fifteen minutes & you become God," nonsense. This is not such a movement
- Krsna consciousness means you understands what is Krsna. Otherwise, if we superficially try to understand Krsna, we will understand Krsna is an ordinary human being
- Krsna consciousness movement is spiritual movement; therefore sometimes it is misunderstood from the material stand, material point of view. But if we associate with the persons who are propagating this movement, there is process how to understand
- Krsna does not require anyone's service, for He is perfect in Himself. However, if we give Him service wholeheartedly and sincerely, then, by His mercy, we shall make advancement
- Krsna does not require your service. He is self-sufficient. He has got many servants anywhere and everywhere. So Krsna does not require our service. It is our interest. If we render service to Krsna, then we become happy. That is the profit
- Krsna has got a plan. If we execute the plan of Krsna, that is the highest truth. But we should not imitate unless we are actually ordered to do such thing
- Krsna is air. Krsna is fire. Krsna is earth. Krsna is water. Krsna is sky. Krsna is everything. Even the small, very, very minute particle, atom - that is also Krsna. So if we always remember like that, our Krsna consciousness will be very, very strong
- Krsna is already there within your heart. You are also there. If we simply connect or link with Krsna, that is called yoga. Yoga means connecting the link
- Krsna is full of all opulence. He possesses in totality wealth, strength, beauty, fame, knowledge and renunciation. He possesses everything in unlimited quantity. If we return to our original father, we can enjoy ourselves with Him unlimitedly
- Krsna is giving the civilization, Vedic civilization. And if we thoroughly understand it, then we are fit for going back to home. Tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti
- Krsna is instructing Arjuna, and we have to understand how Arjuna has understood Krsna. And if we follow the understanding of Arjuna, then we are following the parampara system, or the disciplic succession
- Krsna is perfect. If we take lessons from Krsna, instruction from Krsna, then we get perfect knowledge. That is the process of studying Bhagavad-gita. If you accept Krsna as ordinary human being, then we are befooled
- Krsna is person, and whatever He orders, whatever He says, if we carry out faithfully, then our original constitutional position is regained. It can be done very quickly
- Krsna is prepared. He says, sarva-dharman parityaja mam ekam (BG 18.66). Just accept Me as your master. The master is ready. If we accept this master, then our life is successful
- Krsna is the father, and material nature is the mother, and we are all sons. If we accept this simple philosophy, everything will be all right
- Krsna is the original Supreme Being, the original spirit soul. We are simply minute parts and parcels of Krsna. If we connect with Krsna, we are illuminated just as Krsna is illuminated
- Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. If we take it for proper utilization of our this great boon of life, human form of life, then we become dharmi, and our life is successful

- Krsna knowledge is so perfect. And if we take the real process, sravanam kirtanam visnoh smaranam pada-sevanam (SB 7.5.23), the devotional service... Because Krsna says, bhaktya mam abhijanati yavan yas casmi tattvatah
- Krsna recommends, mayy asakta-manah . . . if we become attached, then our original relationship will be revealed. That is called svarupa-siddhi
- Krsna says, dharma aviruddhah kamo 'smi: "Sex life which is not against religious principles, that I am." So if we try to understand this one verse, we become self-realized
- Krsna, however, is Yogesvara, the master of all yogic powers. If we get a little mystic power we become important, but Krsna is the master of all mystic powers

- Lampaṭa, just like a debauched husband sometimes entreats the good wife & the wife tolerates. There are many instances, such thing, India still, but that is diminishing. Of course, if we say so many stories, it will take... But there are many examples
- Liberation means to be situated in his own real position. That is called li... So what is our position? If we become little sober, if we become little sober, then we can understand what is my position
- Looking at a mountain from a distance, we may see a hazy cloud, and if we come nearer, we may see something green. If we actually climb the mountain, we will find many houses, trees and animals
- Lord Brahma is a jiva-tattva, a living being like us. If we become spiritually powerful, we can also have the post of Lord Brahma
- Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu says that if we chant or associate with the chanting of the holy names of Krsna, we will reach the highest perfectional stage of life
- Lord Visnu is so powerful that He can deliver anyone at once if He is pleased to do so. And Lord Visnu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna, can be pleased immediately if we accept His order by surrendering unto Him, as Maharaja Yayati did
- LSD, marijuana, opium, liquor, coffee and tea is indulged in to fulfill illicit demands. If we can practice accepting only remnants of food offered to Krsna, it is possible to get free from maya's victimization
- Lying in bed uncomfortably taking bitter medicine, and unable to move! Yet despite all these inconveniences he says, "I am well." Similarly, in our material conception of life, if we think, "I am happy," that is foolishness

- Material nature will not give us freedom very easily. If we become strong enough to try to capture the lotus feet of Krsna, maya will try to keep us under her clutches
- Material wealth is not sufficient qualification to become a devotee to approach the Lord. Does it mean if we become poor then we can approach the Supreme Personality of Godhead? No. That is also not a qualification
- Maya may put so many doubts and worthless arguments into our minds, but if we continue the chanting, the curing process will go on
- Mind is the subtle body of the living entity. We may sometimes be absorbed in some thought which is sinful, but if we give up the sinful thought, it may be said that we give up the body
- Mr. John Lennon is anxious for peace in the world, so also is everyone anxious for peace in the world, but it should be known how that peace can be attained. If we keep the human society as it is, there is no possibility of peace
- My Guru Maharaja used to say that if we ask from God for some material benefit, it means that I am asking from a king a pinch of ashes

- Narada distributed the knowledge to Vyasa. In this way Vedic knowledge is perfect. If we act according to Vedic knowledge, there is no question of being involved in sinful activities
- Narottama dasa Thakura sings that our only desire should be to perform the duties of KC. We should not be misled by the karma-mimamsa philosophy, which concludes that if we work seriously the results will come automatically. This is not a fact
- Nature of mind is always agitated, and if we artificially give impetus to the mind to be more agitated, then where is the question of samadhi? There is no question of samadhi. They'll never be able to concentrate the mind. That is not possible
- Neither we should be careless to take care of Krsna's property, Krsna's living being, Krsna's house, Krsna's temple, Krsna's business, everything Krsna's. If we think like that, then that is perfect Krsna consciousness
- Nidrahara-viharakadi-vijitau, to conquer over sleeping, eating and mating. And coming to Vrndavana, if we indulge in that way, then what is the use of coming to Vrndavana? Go to hell and live there. So Vrndavana life is that
- No one but Krsna can be the enjoyer. Krsna therefore says in Bhagavad-gita, bhoktaram yajna: (BG 5.29) "I am the only enjoyer." If we supply ingredients for Krsna's enjoyment, we attain the perfection of life
- No one but Visnu has any independence. If we develop consciousness of this fact, then we are in actual Krsna consciousness. We should always remember that Krsna is the only supreme master and that everyone else is His servant
- Nobody is perfect, and without being perfect, if we hear from somebody who is not perfect, it is simply waste of time. And that is the symptoms of Kali-yuga
- Not that because you have got tendency, you have to increase it. That is not human civilization. Human civilization means we have got so many animal propensities, and if we can control them, that is advancement of human civilization
- Now, how are we to get free from these tribulations? Krsna comes to free us from them by giving us bhakti-yoga. Krsna recommends, "Do this," and if we do it we shall get relief

- Once this misconception (that everything is the Supreme Spirit) is cleared up and if we remember that the Supreme Spirit is indeed omnipresent, we can create a spiritual atmosphere by performing all our activities in relation to the Supreme Spirit
- One is made brahmacari, celibacy, spiritual. One is made a very decently, family life, grhastha. One is made retired life, sannyasi. Very systematical. So if we don't follow the varnasrama-dharma, then we are not even human beings
- One must evacuate every morning and evening. If we eat more, then we have to evacuate twice. But if we eat less, then once evacuation is sufficient
- One politician in U.S.A., he has remarked that "This Krsna consciousness movement is increasing like an epidemic." He has said that. "And if we do not check it, one day it may take our government." He has opined like that
- One should not render devotional service just to increase his income. We want money to become happy, but if we take to Krsna consciousness, automatically we will become so happy that we will neglect money
- One simply has to develop the eyes to see how these things are going on. This is possible if we engage the senses in the service of Krsna
- One who has actually seen or actually realized the truth, you have to take knowledge from there. So we have to approach such person. Otherwise, if we approach some speculator, we cannot get real knowledge
- One who is engaged in devotional service, he is liberated. Officially he is liberated. But if he falls down by the attraction of these three modes of nature, that is a different thing. That is possible. That is possible if we are not strong enough
- One who tries to understand this instructive spiritual knowledge (that if we talk and think about Krsna we don't have to accept another gross and subtle body) is delivered from this ocean of nescience
- Only Krsna is the enjoyer, and if we cooperate with Krsna, through His enjoyment we can enjoy. This is our position. So this is real knowledge
- Otherwise (if we don't surrender to Krsna), in the name of happiness, we shall continue to suffer miserable conditions
- Our constitutional position is like that. If we do not serve God, we do not agree... We are servant of God, but if we deny that "No, I am not servant," so that means I become servant of maya. Servant I'll have to remain. That is my constitutional position
- Our dwelling, which is made of earth, wood, stone, iron, cement and so many other material things. If we think in terms of Sri Isopanisad, we must know that we cannot produce any of these building materials ourselves
- Our experimental knowledge can neither verify nor disprove the statements of Srimad-Bhagavatam. We should simply hear these statements from the authorities. If we can appreciate the extensive energy of the Supreme Personality of God, that will benefit us
- Our habits are formed on account of our association with the three different qualities of material nature. But if we can disassociate ourself from the three modes of material nature, then our real nature, means spiritual nature, becomes invoked
- Our Krsna consciousness movement is trying to give people exact idea of God, exact definition of God, and exact instruction of God. If we take that, take to that, then our religious life will be perfect
- Our main business is to become Krsna conscious. That is the main business of human life. If we waste our time striving for material improvement and forget to chant Hare Krsna, that will be a great loss
- Our mind is our friend, and our mind is our enemy. If it is cleansed, it is a friend, and if it is dirty, we contact material diseases. If we keep ourselves clean, pure, we will not be contaminated
- Our occupation must be honest. Everyone should adore our members as honest. If we do something which is deteriorating to the popular sentiments of the public in favor of our movement, that is not good
- Our only duty is to carry out the order of the Supreme. Other things is already done by Him. So if we abide by the orders of the Supreme, then we get the credit. We should know that
- Our real business is that, how to surrender to Krsna. And if we take shelter of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu, along with His associates, then the task becomes very easy
- Our real interest lies in understanding this simple fact. Then we can make further spiritual progress. Otherwise, if we remain in the bodily conception of life, our miserable material existence will continue forever
- Our this Krsna consciousness movement is not pravrtti-marga - nivrtti-marga. Because if we go to the pravrtti-marga, increasing the propensity of sense gratification, then that is very dangerous
- Our whole material existence is due to different kinds of work. So if we make the work also eternal, that is Krsna consciousness activities. Then we come to the eternal. But in the material existence our work is not eternal

- People are so foolish that they claim not to understand God. If we try to see God through the instructions given to Devahuti by Lord Kapila, our lives will be successful
- People do not try to understand this science, how it is happening. That is all described in the Bhagavad-gita. If we study Bhagavad-gita very carefully, we can understand the philosophy of life correctly
- Practically, if we believe the sastras, the scriptures, then we can see: Who can be more powerful than Krsna? Who can be more beautiful than Krsna? Who can be more famous than Krsna
- Prahlada Maharaja requests his demoniac friends to give up this idea that there is no God. If we give up this nonsensical idea, then the Supreme Lord, who is beyond our perception, will be pleased and show His mercy to us
- Prapancika-buddhya, by accepting something as material, hari-sambandhi-vastunah, but it has connection with Hari, so if we give it up, then it is phalgu-vairagya
- President Nixon, for example, has now been dragged down and is no longer President. This is because he was an ordinary citizen. Similarly, if we like, we may also become Brahma

- Radharani is very dear to Krsna, and if we approach Krsna through the mercy of Radharani, we can easily attain Him. If Radharani recommends a devotee, Krsna immediately accepts him, however foolish he may be
- Ramacandra's life, God's activities, pastimes, if we hear, that means we are associating with Ramacandra. There is no difference between His form, His name, His pastimes and Himself. He's absolute
- Real aim of life is to stop the cycle of birth and death. That is real aim of life. If we do not know this, then we are ignorant
- Real master is Krsna. So in this way, if we establish our relationship with Krsna as..., either as husband or lover or master or friend or son or father, it is perfect. It is perfect. We have to go to that stage
- Real piety means to come to the platform of sanatana-dharma. So if we do not come to the platform of sanatana-dharma from the platform of asanatana-dharma, we are simply committing sins
- Regardless of what class we belong to, if we cooperate in Krsna consciousness, there will be peace in the world
- Regardless of what we have done in our past lives, if we engage ourselves in unalloyed devotional service to the Lord in this life, we will always be situated in the brahma-bhuta - liberated state
- Religion means to accept God. So if you are Muslim, I am Hindu, if I accept God, if You accept God, then where is fight? If we accept that God is the proprietor, God is the father, then where is the question of fight?
- Routine eating must be there. We should not eat more than that. But the best principle is if we do not feel hungry, we should not eat. But if there is no hunger and at the same time no appetite and we eat, that brings indigestion, dysentery, indigestion

- Sada tad-bhava-bhavitah: (BG 8.6) if we always think of Krsna, there is a chance that we shall remember Krsna at the end of life (ante narayana-smrtih) - SB 2.1.6
- Should we not feel very much proud if we were to associate with the supreme president, who is able to create many millions of presidents like those of this world? This chanting is our opportunity to do so
- Simply by knowing this science of Krsna, if we can get liberation from these material miseries of life, why should we not try for this? Let us try for Krsna consciousness. It is a very nice subject matter and very easy
- Simply chant Hare Krsna mantra. This will clarify your heart. Then you can understand who is guru, where to surrender, where to take lesson. In this way we can make . . . haphazardly, if we accept, then there will be failure
- Simply chanting, that will help us also. It will take time. But if we avoid the offenses, then it will be very quickly purified. The action will be there
- Simply superficially if we understand Krsna that: Krsna was born of the father & mother, Devaki and Vasudeva, He was born in Mathura & then played with the gopis and He taught something on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra - that is not sufficient knowledge
- Since Krsna and His energies are nondifferent, we can see Krsna everywhere if we are advanced in devotional service
- So acaryavan puruso veda. Without following the acarya, if we simply theorize, that is not good
- So far as common sense is concerned, we come to the conclusion that there are three identities, namely matter, spirit and Superspirit. Now if we go to the Bhagavad-gita, or the Vedic intelligence, we can further understand that
- So far this Krsna consciousness movement, there is no need of analogy. It is accepted as truth, and Krsna is accepted as the SPG, and whatever He says is truth. There is no mistake, and if we carry that message, there is no mistake
- So if in our practical experience we see to obey the order of the Supreme is morality, standard of morality, don't you think to obey the supermost supreme, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, to obey Him, that is morality. That is morality
- So if we acquire the quality of goodness, there is chance of enlightenment, knowledge, so that again fire can be generated. But if we fall down on the water, practically it is finished. Ignorance
- So if we actually want life, blissful life, then we must get out of this material existence. That is Prahlada Maharaja's instruction. Samudvigna-dhiyam. And if you remain in the material existence, you must suffer some anxiety. There is no excuse
- So if we do not try to understand the real purpose of Bhagavad-gita, and if we theorize, "Bhagavad-gita means nonviolence. Bhagavad-gita means to become patriot," these are materialism
- So if we go on working in non-attachment and culture our self-realization, then gradually we shall come to the perfectional point
- So if we simply become renouncer, that will not help us. Then again we shall become enjoyer, so-called enjoyer. That is like pendulum, balancing, tak, tak, this way, this way
- So if we simply try to understand Bhagavad-gita as it is, we understand immediately the science of God
- So if we work also like dogs and hogs day and night for sense gratification, material satisfaction, then where is the difference between hogs and dogs and human being? And this is going on
- So in the Bhagavad-gita there is perfect instruction. And if we take it as it is and follow it, then we become perfect
- So long life is there, eating must be there, sleeping must be there. But not that sleeping twenty, twenty-five hours, and sex as much as they like, and eating voraciously. In this way if we keep our civilization, it will never be happy
- So our intelligence is, if we have to work for others and sacrifice this body for others, why not for Krsna? That is our philosophy. If I am whole time, whole duration of life for you, I am working for others... Others means, ultimately, my senses
- So we have no connection with Krsna. But if we chant Hare Krsna maha-mantra, immediately our first chance to contact Krsna begins
- So we have to purify our feelings. That is Krsna consciousness: "How I can serve?" And if we purify... Purify means purification will be done by Him. We cannot purify. Purification will be done by Him. Simply we have to become purified feelings
- Some people argue that if we do not eat meat we will be undernourished, but we can see that the students of this Krsna consciousness movement have given up meat and are very healthy
- Some tapasya is certainly required. Without it, one can not advance in spiritual life or knowledge. If we simply engage in the animal propensities of eating, sleeping, mating and defending, not accepting the tapasya process, human life is a failure
- Somehow or other if we come in contact with Krsna, by the mercy of Krsna's confidential devotees, then our life becomes success. That is described here. Tyaktva deham punar janma naiti. Then this transmigration of the soul stops
- Sometimes He (Caitanya) threw Himself into the ocean, and He wandered about like a madman. Of course, this is not possible for ordinary living entities. However, if we become bhaktas, we will find intelligence behind everything in the creation
- Sometimes these senses are described as kala sarpa. Kala sarpa means the black cobra. As soon as the cobra touches - immediately dead. Similarly, if we allow this kala sarpa to act in their own way, that means we are inviting death at every moment
- Sravanam kirtanam visnoh smaranam (SB 7.5.23). The word smaranam means "remembering." If we chant and hear, then remembrance will automatically come, and then we shall engage in worshiping Krsna's lotus feet - sevanam
- Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti also advises that if we want to be successful in our attempt to go back to Godhead, we must very seriously act according to the instruction of the spiritual master. That is the way of perfection
- Suppose we are dancing here, and if we understand that immediately death will take place, then we shall not be able to enjoy the dancing. Immediately the anxiety will come. So here, ananda, there is no ananda
- Suppose we were to take a hair and divide it into a hundred parts. Could we do it? No. That is not possible. But if we could do it and then divide it again into another one hundred parts, each part would be the size of the spirit soul
- Suppose you are geographer, and I am a religious preacher, and he is a cultivator, he is a factory man. So that is all right. If we sit down together and perform yajna simply by glorifying the Lord, where is the loss in your part or my part or his part

- Temporarily we are thinking if we make some comfortable arrangement for body, and that is sufficient. Lost Vedic culture, ideal of life, goal of life
- That is the critical point, that if we indulge in our bodily pleasure, that pleasure is flickering. That pleasure is flickering. We cannot enjoy. Bodily pleasure we cannot enjoy
- That is the subtle mystery of transmigration of the soul from one body to another. Now, if this, this life we purify just like rose, then next life we shall get a body which is full of flavor
- The activities of Krsna are not ordinary but divine. If we can understand this, we immediately become liberated. We need only understand the pastimes of Krsna with the gopis. These pastimes are not ordinary
- The animals are busily engaged trying to solve these problems (eating, mating, sleeping, and defending), and if we are also only engaged in solving them how are we any different from the animals
- The authorities are mentioned in the sastra, who are authorities. So if we follow the authority, then we get the conclusion
- The basic principle is the illicit sex life. Now, it can go up to murdering and so many things. So if we avoid the basic principles, the further subsidiary sinful activities automatically stopped
- The best course, therefore, is to complete our KC and return home, back to Godhead. That will save us. Otherwise, if we come back again for another life in Kali-yuga, we shall find difficult days ahead, and we shall have to suffer more and more
- The Bhagavad-gita is within the Mahabharata; therefore all the statements of the Bhagavad-gita are self-evident. There is no need for interpretation, and if we do interpret, the entire authority of the Vedic literature is lost
- The bulls will help us produce grains, and they will take only a little, being satisfied with what we throw away. If we take fruit and throw away the skin, the animal will be satisfied with the skin
- The cats and dogs, they cannot fight with maya, but a human being, he can fight. So if we don't fight, we don't take that adventure, then we remain cats and dogs. The cats and dogs, they fight amongst themselves but not with the maya
- The chanting Hare Krsna Mantra, one chanting Hare Krsna is sufficient to make us pure from all sinful activities reaction. But if we commit sin again in the hope that because I'm chanting this will be neutralized and that is the greatest sin
- The Christian religion has a history of 2,000 years, and the Mohammedan religion has a history of 1,300 years, but if we try to trace out the origins of Vedic religion, we will not be able to find a beginning
- The codes and the orders and the rules and regulations, they're all stated in the Bhagavad-gita. So if we follow the instruction of Bhagavad-gita and accept . . . we accept, consciously or unconsciously. That is our Indian culture, Vedic culture
- The conception of one world state can only be fulfilled if we can follow the infallible authority. An imperfect human being cannot create an ideology acceptable to everyone
- The cowherd boys said, "If we all at one time entered into the mouth of this great serpent, how could it possibly swallow all of us? And even if it were to swallow all of us at once, it could not swallow Krsna. Krsna will kill him, as He did Bakasura"
- The dark well means if we are put into the dark well, you'll be killed. Hitvatma patam grham andha-kupam, vanam gato yad dharim asrayeta (SB 7.5.5). - You should give up this dark well and go to the forest
- The dog is having sexual intercourse in the open street, and if we have sexual intercourse in a very secluded place and very nice bedstead, that does not change the quality
- The ears are equally imperfect. We cannot hear a sound vibrated a long distance away unless we put a telephone to our ear. Similarly, if we analyze all our senses in this way, we will find them all to be imperfect
- The entire cosmic manifestation is a gigantic body, but if we accept that it always exists, there can be no question of annihilation. Therefore the attempt to annihilate everything in order to attain zero is an absurdity
- The frogs, frog's tongue, very busy in croaking. But it, it, it is means inviting death. Similarly, by talking nonsense we allow our span of life being diminished by the sunrise and sunset, but if we talk about the SPG, then our life cannot be taken away
- The Greek word Christo comes from the Sanskrit Krishna. In fact, another spelling of Krishna is Krishta. So actually, if we take the root meaning,"Christian" means "Krishtian" or "Krishnian." So that is a controversial point
- The human form of life is meant for understanding the Supreme, the Absolute Truth (athato brahma jijnasa). But if we do not endeavor for this, if we misuse this opportunity and simply remain like animals, we shall return to an animal form of life
- The human life begins when we can distinguish between sat and asat. If we remain in darkness, without understanding what is sat and asat, then we are no better than dogs and cats
- The jihva, in the very beginning, jihva, the tongue, should be controlled. If we can control the tongue, then other senses will be automatically controlled
- The Kardama Muni is teaching Sankhya philosophy, Krsna is teaching Bhagavad-gita, and if we do not take advantage of these thing, then again we are in the oblivion
- The karma-mimamsa also, that, they say that, "After all, if we act virtuously, then we shall get good result. So what is the use of worshiping God? Let us work virtuously." This is their view
- The law makes distinctions between human beings and animals because human beings supposedly have advanced consciousness. If we do not follow rules and regulations, we again lapse into animalism
- The lights that emanate from such transcendental sources generally enter into us by our aural reception. So only if we are ready to offer a submissive aural reception to the message of Godhead can we know Godhead as He is
- The Lord is all-pervading all over the universe and is within the soul, the heart, water, air - everywhere. Thus if we make an image of God in anything - clay, stone, wood or whatever - it should not be considered to be just a doll. That also is God
- The Lord is also perpetually happy, and if we associate with the Lord, cooperate with Him, take part in His association, then also we become happy. The Lord descends on this mortal world to show His pastimes in Vrndavana full of happiness
- The Lord is always ready to give directions. Indeed, His directions are elaborately given in Bhagavad-gita. If we take advantage of these directions, then in spite of our being conditioned by the laws of material nature, we shall become free
- The Lord is very kind to His devotees, and He is very grateful, able and magnanimous. It is our duty to believe His words, and if we are intelligent and educated enough, we will follow His instructions without hesitation
- The Mayavadis and Buddhists claim that if we fill an empty pitcher, the water will make some sound as long as the pitcher is not completely filled. When the pitcher is filled, there will no longer be any sound
- The mind is by nature very restless, and one should not make friends with it. If we place full confidence in the mind, it may cheat us at any moment. Even Lord Siva became agitated upon seeing the Mohini form of Lord Krsna
- The more we become advanced in understanding God, KC, then we are human being. And if we are more advanced, then you are devata, demigods. And when you more make advance, then you become fit for going back to home, back to Godhead. This is the process
- The neophyte should also read and hear Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam. If we simply try to see and don't listen, the results will not be permanent
- The Nimbaditya-sampradaya comes from the Kumara-sampradaya. If we do not belong to any sampradaya, our conclusion is fruitless
- The only process that will purify the mind is to engage it in Krsna. The mind must be engaged. If we engage our mind in Krsna, naturally the consciousness becomes fully purified, and there is no chance of the entrance of material desire and greed
- The physician is giving some medicine and some diet. So if we follow the directions of the physician and eat the diet prescribed by him, there is hope of curing the disease. This is one way
- The piling of woods and stone is not advanced civilization. My Guru Maharaja used to say that if you are simply engaged how to have a skyscraper building, then we become craftsmen only, how to handle woods and stones, that's all
- The present life is repeated birth and death, but if we seek the path of liberation, we may be saved from repeated suffering
- The process (Krsna Consciousness) is there, but if we waste time by intoxication we will never see Him, the unconquerable Lord
- The process recommended in the Bhagavad-gita, as, and as practically demonstrated by Arjuna, if we follow this principle then we shall be proceeding towards the spiritual emancipation of life undoubtedly and without fail
- The real aim is to go back to home, back to Godhead, Visnu. So this is the process. If we execute varnasrama-dharma rightly, then we gradually make progress towards spiritual realization
- The real aim of life, how to get out of this bhavarnava, nescience, that is the aim of life. If we remain again like the monkeys and cats and dogs, eating, sleeping, mating and dancing, that is not very responsible life
- The real friend is Krsna, and if we want to benefit our family, nation or planet, we will work for Him. If we have our family's welfare in mind, we will try to make all members Krsna conscious
- The real meditation means to think of Krsna. Man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru (BG 18.65). That is real meditation. So in this way, if we engage our life, that means bhakti-yoga, then Krsna reveals
- The real question is, How can we remain unpolluted by material contamination while in the material world? Srila Rupa Gosvami explains that we can remain uncontaminated while in the world if we simply make it our ambition to serve Krsna - CC Intro
- The record actually shows that so many people die in such accidents. Therefore if we actually think that this material world is a very happy place, this is our ignorance. Real knowledge is that this material world is full of danger
- The sat-sanga... We know that word only, but if we don't take advantage, then what is meaning?
- The scriptural injunctions are like favorable winds. If we do not cross over the ocean of the nescience of material existence in spite of all these facilities, then certainly we are all intentionally committing suicide
- The sun is equal toward all, and one simply has to take advantage of it. The sunshine is available, but if we close our doors and want to keep ourselves in darkness, that is our decision
- The sun is taking away our duration of life every minute, every hour, every day. But if we engage ourself in the topics of Uttama-sloka, that time he cannot take away
- The Supreme Personality of Godhead is actually the enjoyer, and therefore if we begin our activities for His satisfaction, we will gradually lose our taste for material activities
- The symptom of human life is that he should be very much pessimistic, not optimistic, of this material world. Then there is path of liberation. And if we think that we are very much happy here, that is called illusion, maya
- The thirty-nine items (of devotional service to God) plus these five come to a total of forty-four. If we add the previous twenty items to these forty-four, the total number becomes sixty-four
- The Vedanta-sutra also confirms that the Absolute Truth is He from whom everything is born. If we truly believe that Krsna is the origin of everything, and if we worship Him, our whole account is closed in one second
- The Vedic literatures - the Vedanta, Upanisads, Ramayana, Mahabharata and many others - should be utilized if we wish to become free from the contamination of tamo-guna and rajo-guna. The whole world is revolving due to kama and lobha
- The Vedic statements are self-evident. Whatever is stated there must be accepted. If we interpret according to our own imagination, the authority of the Vedas is immediately lost
- The voluntary suffering means what is our enjoyment? First of all let us see. The enjoyment is if we can eat voraciously, eating, and if we can sleep thirty hours, and if we have got sex life without any discrimination, and don't care for defense
- The whole aim is how to worship the Supreme Lord. That is human life. So if we make these divisions, so any class of man, if he comes to this social system of varnasrama-dharma, then automatically will come to the understanding what is Brahman
- The whole thing is instructed in the Bhagavad-gita and if we accept the teachings of Bhagavad-gita, as it is without unnecessary commentary on it, then our spiritual movement will be successful
- The whole Vedic scripture describes that happiness derived of sense perception out of the body, that is not real happiness. If we are to enjoy real happiness, then we have to transcend these bodily pleasures
- The wives of the brahmanas said, "And what shall we do if we return home? Our husbands, brothers, fathers, sons, mothers and friends will no longer accept us at home because we have already left them all"
- Then we will surely be protected from the harassment of asuric rulers - if we welcome this incarnation of Krsna in the form of holy name
- There are 8,400,000 species of life, forms of life. You have to accept one of them. That is our real problem. If we forget the real problem and blindly or foolishly say that "God is dead . . ." God may be dead, but God's law is not dead
- There are different processes for getting out of the reaction of sinful activities, but you..., we take it. But if we again commit those sinful activities, then what is the use of such penance or prayascitta?
- There are four sampradayas: Brahma-sampradaya, Rudra-sampradaya, Kumara-sampradaya and Laksmi-sampradaya. And if we do not take either of these sampradayas in disciplic succession, then our attempt to advance in spiritual life will be failure
- There are no cheaters and cheated in such a relationship. If we accept Krsna as our son, friend or lover, we will never be cheated
- There are ritualistic process in every religion and in every scripture - but if we stick to that, then the result will be they will be entrapped by such fanaticism, and it will be not possible to make progress
- There are small controllers and larger controllers. If we go to Brahma, we see that he is controlling the entire universe, but he is not the supreme controller
- There are so many nice things. And they are very, very beneficial for the human life. If we do not utilize the already information we have got in the Vedic literature, so then this temporary program to save us, that will not solve the problem
- There are three stages of chanting. One chanting is with offense, beginning. There are ten kinds of offenses, we have described many times. If we chant with offense, that is one stage. If we chant offenseless, that is one stage
- There are three stages: the stage of ignorance, the stage of passion, the stage of goodness and the stage of transcendence. After millions of births, nature gives us this human form of life when, if we try, we can understand in which stage I am standing
- There cannot be any love in this material world. Because love is between spirit and spirit. But if we try to love the Supreme Spirit, Krsna, then we shall understand how our love can be spread in the spiritual world
- There is no authority superior to Sri Krsna, and if we stick to this principle, we can become gurus
- There is no culture. There is no attention. Therefore the whole world is in chaotic condition. But if we accept the Vedic civilization, which is in nutshell - everything is there in the Bhagavad-gita - then the whole world will be Vaikuntha
- There is no doubt that your poetry is full of ingenuity, and certainly it has satisfied the Supreme Lord. Yet if we scrutinizingly consider it we can find both good qualities and faults
- There is no duality in the spiritual world. One plus one equals one, and one minus one equals one. If we love Krsna, that love will not be destroyed as love is in the material world
- There is no other method for our spiritual progress. Simply chant Hare Krsna mantra. And there is no loss on our part. If we chant Hare Krsna mantra, there is no loss
- There is no question of being hopeless. If we follow the injunction given in these authorized scriptures, then even in this Kali-yuga we can attain perfection. And the process is this: Hare Krsna
- There is no question of interpretation. We have to understand Bhagavad-gita as it is. If we cannot understand, that is a defect in me, not in the Bhagavad-gita. So we have to find out the defect in me
- They (Mayavadi philosophers) reason that in the material world we experience that everything is created. If we trace the history of anything, we find a creator. Therefore there must be a creator of this huge cosmic manifestation
- They (the Mayavadi sannyasis) are already enemies, and if we talk with them harshly or impolitely their enmity will merely increase
- They are thinking that "Here this small span of life, say fifty years, sixty years, hundred years utmost, if we get a nice wife, a nice apartment and nice motorcar, running with seventy miles speed, and a nice whiskey bottle. . ." That is his perfection
- They are thinking that, "We are doing our duty." What is this nonsense duty? Real duty is to develop Krsna consciousness. If you are missing that point, the so-called duty is simply wasting
- They have no idea of spiritual life; therefore they misunderstand. But if we read thoroughly Bhagavad-gita, then everything is clear
- This chance (get out of birth & death) is given by the grace of Krsna, & if we do not take it, are we not the lowest among men? 1 may be a degree holder - M.A., Ph.D., etc. - from some university, but the illusory energy takes away this mundane knowledge
- This easy process, sukham jihvadau, that begins from the jihva, tongue. If you kindly train your tongue to chant Hare Krsna mantra, and if possible without offense. If we avoid the offenses and you chant Hare Krsna mantra, you become liberated
- This human body is a very nice boat, and we have a very good navigator, the spiritual master. We also have a very favorable wind - the instructions of God. If we don't take this opportunity and solve the problems of life, we are cutting our own throat
- This human form of life is to get out of this diseased condition of life having a material body. If we don't restrict, then where is the treatment? Where is the cure? The whole system is restriction, tapo divyam
- This is a practical example (SB 10.11.58). If we follow in the footsteps of Nanda Maharaja and the gopas, we can all be happy simply by discussing the activities of Krsna

- This is Vedic civilization. Everything is provided to enlighten the people in general. All the knowledge is there, and the method is there; we simply have to take advantage of it. If we do not, how can we expect a peaceful and happy world?
- This is very simple philosophy, and everything is explained in the Bhagavad-gita. If we are fortunate enough, we should study Bhagavad-gita as it is. And then we become successful in the mission of our life
- This kind of worship is accepted - sweeping the face of Sir Asutosa Mukherji with the municipal brush - but if we install the Deity of Krsna and worship Him nicely, people will say that this is idol worship
- This Krsna consciousness movement is for educating people how to think of God constantly. And if we practice like that, then, after giving up this body, we are going to get a body which is exactly like God. This body is called sac-cid-ananda
- This Krsna consciousness movement means to find out the supreme father. Supreme father. That is the sum and substance of this movement. If we do not know who is our father, that is not a very good position
- This life I have got very nice, beautiful body, and everything is all right. But if we act irresponsibly, the nature will give me a suitable body. Otherwise, why there are so many varieties of life, 8,400,000
- This life is a preparation for the next life. If we can prepare, therefore, in this life to get promotion to the kingdom of God, then surely, after quitting this material body, we will attain a spiritual body just like the Lord. BG 1972 Introduction
- This mental condition naturally is there what I practice throughout my whole life. So if we practice this chanting of Hare Krsna name, then there is chance of chanting Hare Krsna at the time of death. That is the examination
- This movement is actually the real movement to raise the human society. And if we create faction, then the movement will be less strong and will not act very nicely
- This sounds very simple, but actually understanding Krsna is very difficult. If we become devotees of Krsna, understanding Krsna is easy. However, if we try to understand Him by jnana, karma or yoga, we will be frustrated
- This Vedic civilization is so nice, and it is given in nutshell in simple words by the Supreme Lord Himself. If we take it, then immediately the face of the world will change. Immediately
- This verse (SB 1.8.37) illustrates the position of a surrendered soul seeking the protection of Krsna. If we remain in this position, knowing that our only protector is Krsna and that our only duty is to serve Krsna, then our life is successful
- This world is full of dangers in every step. Just like in the ocean there is danger in every step but if we take shelter of boat which is known as the Lotus Feet of Lord Krishna, then this great ocean of danger becomes as harmless as a small pit
- Those who are allured by the bodily concept are no better than cats and dogs. If we accept that "I am this body," then we are not better than the cats and dogs because their concept of life is like that
- Those who are animalistic try to find peace in the desert of material life. It is repeatedly said in different sastras that there is no pleasure in this material world. Furthermore, even if we agree to live without pleasure, we are not allowed to do so
- Those who are mahatmas are always engaged in chanting Hare Krsna. Bhajana is the chanting of Hare Krsna. If we serve a mahatma like Haridasa Thakura, who was always engaged in chanting Hare Krsna, our path of liberation is opened
- Those who attain once to Me, they will have never to come again to this place of miseries. - So here is the hint that by Krsna consciousness, if we remain always in Krsna consciousness, then our transference to that planet of Krsnaloka is guaranteed
- Thus (if we surrender unto Krsna) we are immediately relieved from traveling from one body to another and from one planet to another
- To become a bona fide spiritual master there is no difficulty, simply if we carry the message of Krsna as it is, without any adulteration
- To find out different information from different scriptures, it is very difficult, but if we become in the line of disciplic succession, all the experience is at once achieved
- To give up these bad habits, that is human life. If we can't do that, then we are not making any spiritual progress of life. So long you'll have a little desire for committing sinful life for your sense gratification, you will have to accept a next body
- To know the principles of eternal life, and if we really want to see things in their true perspective, it is necessary for us to establish a relationship with a preceptor who can really open our eyes and lift us from the clutches of nescience
- To our feeble imagination, a castle in the sky is an impossibility, but if we scrutinizingly consider the matter we can understand that it is not impossible at all
- To understand God, the Supreme Being, who is controlling the whole universe, it is very, very difficult to understand Him. But if we become devotee, then Krsna reveals Himself
- To understand Krsna is not so easy job. But Krsna personally comes and teaches about Himself, and still if we do not take, that is our misfortune
- Try to hear about the glories of the Supreme Lord from authorized sources. Such authority is handed over by disciplic succession. If we can understand by the same authority as Arjuna, that is real authority

- Uddhava said, "(If we can somehow gain victory over Jarasandha) The imprisoned kings will be released, and with great pleasure we shall enjoy the spread of Your transcendental fame for having saved the innocent kings whom Jarasandha has imprisoned"
- Uddhava said, "Although to accept the invitation offered by Narada as primary is quite appropriate, at the same time, my Lord, it is Your duty to give protection to the surrendered souls. Both purposes can be served if we understand the whole situation"
- Uddhava said, "I think that if we can somehow or other gain victory over Jarasandha, all our purposes will automatically be served"
- Unconsciously or consciously, if we simply can remember Hare Krsna, then our life is successful. This is a most scientific method
- Under the spell of material nature, we are becoming servants and masters, but if we agree to be controlled by the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His eternal servants, this temporary condition ceases to exist
- Unfortunately we are trying to become master. Instead of submitting ourself to become the eternal.... We are eternal servant. We cannot be master. If we do not become servant of Krsna, then we have to become the servant of our senses
- Unless God has got form, two hands, two legs, like that, how man has got two hands, two legs? If we are imitation of God, then God must be person. This is natural conclusion
- Unless we associate with such hamsa, who has nothing to do with this material world, who has taken the cream of the material, Krsna, such hamsa, if we become his servant - gopi-bhartur pada-kamalayor dasa-dasa-dasanudasa - then it will be successful
- Unless we understand the varieties of the Absolute Truth, if we simply stick to the indefinite, impersonal feature of the Absolute Truth, then there is chance of falling down. Generally, they fall down
- Unless you are expert in devotional service, by practical application of the instruction of Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu - rupa-raghunatha pade haibe akuti - then if we are qualified, someday we may be able to understand what is love between Krsna & Radharani

- Vedic civilization is different. Their aim is different. The whole scheme is controlling the senses, especially sex, because if we become too much addicted to sex life, then our life is spoiled. This is this
- Very risky life if we do not awaken our divya-jnana. We should always remember this. Very risky life -- once again thrown into the waves of birth and death
- Vita-raga-bhaya-krodha. Here we have got attraction, material, so we have to withdraw this attraction. How it will be possible? If we become more attracted to Krsna, then this attraction will go away

- We are all born foolish. So if we are not properly educated, then we remain fools and rascals, and the activities of fools and rascals, this is simply waste of time
- We are animals of the land, so if we are put into the water, then however expert swimmer I may be or you may be, it is simply struggle for existence
- We are atomic small, and Krsna is unlimitedly great. That is the difference. Otherwise, so far quality is concerned, Krsna and ourself, the same. As the parts and parcel of Krsna, if we live always with Krsna, then we are in spiritual life
- We are born ignorant. And if we are educated more, more, more into the platform of ignorance, then our life is all defeat
- We are chanting Hare Krsna maha-mantra, but if we become at least once in life in ecstasy in chanting Hare Krsna, then all our sinful reaction of life is finished
- We are creating our next body in this life. So if we become sinful, or if we act only sinful activities, then we get next body a very lower class of body, even as the germ in the stool. And if we act nicely, piously, then we get better body
- We are fighting due to different consciousness. But if we really come to the platform of spiritual consciousness, or Krsna consciousness, then you will become immediately one. Oneness
- We are following strictly the principles of Vedas, the principles laid down by great authorities, and if we accept them, then we'll get the required perfection of life. And they are not very difficult
- We are given the opportunity by nature to utilize our consciousness, to utilize our intelligence, to understand God. But if we do not utilize, if we live like cats and dog, then next life we have to accept, by nature's law, the body of cats and dogs
- We are in ignorance. We do not know. We are accepting this body as "I am." So many animal propensities, animal condition. So if we remain in animal condition of life, then that is aghavan
- We are inclined to enjoy this material world, but if we stop this material enjoyment, we are fit for spiritual life. That is the philosophy
- We are migrating or transmigrating from one to another. This business, if we want to stop... Because we are eternal, our aims and object should be to attain that eternal status. That we can attain by Krsna consciousness
- We are missing the center. The center is God, or Krsna. With God center, if we expand our activities - either country's service or society's service or family's service - you expand, but keep the center, then it will be very nice. It will never overlap
- We are not meant for material realization. We are meant for spiritual realization, the human form. So that we should take advantage of. That is the mission of human form of life. If we miss this, then we are committing suicide
- We are not meant for suffering. If we are sons of God, who is full with all opulence, why should we suffer
- We are part and parcel of God, but if we fall down from the association of God, then we appear like material. But we are not material. It appears that extinguished
- We are part and parcel of God. We have got little independence. But if we misuse it, then we shall be punished. So there is no question of independence. Independence, little; that is interdependence, not independence
- We are seeking friendship with so many people to get our motive realized. But if we make Krsna . . . if we know Krsna is already ready . . . in the Upanisad it is said that two birds in friendly way are sitting in the same tree, the body
- We are so fool that we are always on the brink of dangerous position... If we don't utilize this life properly, I may fall down again to the cycle of birth and death
- We are so proud to think that this is advancement of knowledge, but if we can manufacture something that can stop death, we have really advanced in knowledge
- We are talking so many things, whole day and night. But if we utilize this tongue for chanting Hare Krsna mantra, what is the loss there? That is the injunction of the sastras
- We are trying to be happy in this place of miserable condition, manufacturing so many ways of life. In the modern age they are thinking that, If we have got a very nice car and nice residential quarter and nice wife
- We are trying to conquer so many things, empire, but if we fail to conquer our mind, then even you conquer an empire, that is a failure. His very mind will be the greatest enemy
- We are very small, but we can become the greatest, almost as good as God, if we engage ourself in the transcendental loving service of the Lord. You have got best example. Just like Lord Jesus Christ
- We are working for Krsna, and if we die we go to Krsna. So what is the loss
- We are working so hard for sense gratification, we are never satisfied. But if one-hundredth part of this labor, if we devote for understanding Krsna consciousness, our life will be successful. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s teachings. Try to understand
- We can always live in Vrndavana, in Vaikuntha, if we are mad after Krsna. This is the teaching of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, and He illustrated this by His very life
- We can attain the platform of sattva-guna by following the instructions given in Bhagavad-gita. Hearing krsna-katha, topics about Krsna, clears all the dirty things from the mind. Also, if we chant and dance, these dirty things will be wiped away
- We can become immediately liberated from this prison house of material existence if we accept this teaching of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, jivera svarupa haya nitya krsnera dasa
- We can create Vrndavana by the mercy of Krsna, if we chant Hare Krsna. Perfect this Krsna consciousness; try to understand the philosophy behind it. It is a science, not a bluff. We can speak from any angle of vision
- We can go on reading Bhagavad-gita life after life, and we may write a thousand and one commentaries on it, but all such attempts will prove futile - if we are not at all able to grasp this genuine message of Sri Krsna, the teacher of Bhagavad-gita
- We can see God everywhere and at all times. We will see God and nothing but God. We will see God not only within our hearts. If we go to the ocean, we will see God
- We can see God in every moment. But if we deny to see God, then God will be present before us as the cruel death
- We can still purge out from the state all the activities of immorality introduced by the personality of Kali if we are determined to take action like Maharaja Pariksit
- We can understand things as they are if we receive the message of Urukrama, Krsna - if you give aural reception to the activities of Krsna. Therefore, you should not waste a moment even with nonsense talkings
- We cannot see God by our own endeavor, but if we qualify ourselves, God will reveal Himself, and then we will see
- We cannot see Krsna with our material eyes, nor hear about Him with material ears, nor touch Him with our hands; but if we engage our tongue in His service, He will reveal Himself, saying - Here I am
- We cannot simply give up everything. We will become mad if we try to give up everything without having staunch faith in Krsna
- We cannot understand Krsna by our speculative knowledge. If we try to do that, then we can approach up to the impersonal Brahman feature of Krsna. Brahmeti. That is not full Krsna. That is Krsna's partial realization
- We cannot understand who our father is by experimental knowledge; we have to hear the word of our mother and believe her. If we do not believe her, there is no way of knowing
- We cannot understand. Krsna is unlimited; we are limited. Still, whatever limited power we have got, we can understand Krsna if we follow the sastra, sadhu and guru. Sadhu-sastra-guru-vakya tinete kariya aikya
- We cannot very easily understand the actual truth of religious systems, but if we follow these mahajanas, we can understand
- We cannot violate the state laws, either criminal or civil; it doesn't matter. But if we violate the civil law, there is no such strong punishment, but if we violate the criminal laws, then it is very strong
- We do not accept any principle of religion as genuine if we see that the followers have no love of God but they have got love of matter. We testify the, I mean to say, bona fides of a religious principle
- We do not care for our Father; however, nature is nonetheless working under His direction. If we do not care for Him, nature will reduce her supply, for nature will not allow demons to flourish
- We don't want these nonsense followers, many thousands. What they will do? But if we can turn one man into Krsna consciousness perfectly, he can do tremendous work in the world
- We find so many living entities within the ocean, if we go deep. Surface acquaintance with the ocean is not sufficient; one must have complete knowledge of the aquatics living in the ocean depths. BG 1972 purports
- We find very wonderful qualities even in such material things as jewels and drugs. Indeed, their qualities often appear inconceivable. if we do not attribute inconceivable potencies to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we cannot establish His supremacy
- We get this chance, & if we are not educated by our teachers, by our fathers, by our leaders, by our government men, by our gurus, by our relatives, how to accept the lotus feet of Krsna, who is canvassing, sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja
- We get this facility in the human form of life, but if we do not properly utilize this opportunity, we become a krpana, miser. A miser is one who gets money but does not spend it properly
- We hate sin, not the sinners. Actually. If we hate sinners, then where is the possibility of preaching?
- We have been elevated to an exalted position by the mercy of Krsna and the spiritual master, and if we remember that this is a great opportunity and pray to Krsna that we will not fall again, our lives will be successful
- We have come from God; we again go back to God if we simply understand Krsna, or God. This is the whole instruction of the Bhagavad-gita
- We have got good brain. Instead of utilizing the brain to know what is the active principles of this whole universe, if we utilize that brain for manufacturing a watch, that is not very good proposal
- We have got limited number of energies, and Krsna has got unlimited number of energies. So if we desire to become something unlimitedly, Krsna can supply you your necessities unlimitedly
- We have got many programs according to our mental concoction. That will not help us. If we simply act as Krsna desires, then our life is perfect
- We have got the advantage of getting this knowledge in this life, and again, if we go back to the cats' and dogs' knowledge, then what is the benefit of getting this body?
- We have to accept the Vedic injunction, sastric injunction, not nonsensical theories. If we are guided by nonsensical theories, then we'll never be able to understand how things are going on
- We have to approach devotee. We have to approach prasanta. And if we become fortunate to serve him, then the liberation, the path of liberation, is open
- We have to be purified. Param brahma param dhama pavitram paramam bhavan (BG 10.12). Because Krsna is pure, we cannot approach Krsna impurely. But if we think of Krsna always and meditate upon Krsna, then we shall be purified
- We have to change this body (tatha dehantara-praptih (BG 2.13)). If we do not care about Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam, we do not know what the next body will be
- We have to decide it that spiritual life and material life, they are different angles of vision. If we give more stress to the material life, material way of life, then it is not possible to have any spiritual realization or spiritual emancipation
- We have to engage different classes of men in different activities. If we do not know the art then we will fail, because unless there is a division of work there will be havoc
- We have to enter the eternal planets and associate with the Supreme Personality of Godhead in order to be happy. If we do not attain this position, we will return to the material world
- We have to follow the authorities. We cannot manufacture. There is no need of research work. Simply if we follow the chalked-out path given by the great authorities, that will help us
- We have to follow the footsteps of Rupa Gosvami, rupanuga. Then we can understand Lord Caitanya. And if we get favor of Lord Caitanya, we can very easily understand Krsna. This is the process
- We have to follow the sastric injunction. If we really want to come out this material bondage . . . material bondage means this body. Our real problem is this body. That we do not know
- We have to give ourselves a chance to progress in spiritual life, step by step. Otherwise, if we remain attached to material consciousness throughout all our days, we will not perfect our KC, and we shall miss the opportunity of this human form of life
- We have to practice this, that Hare Krsna maha-mantra. If we practice, there is chance at the time of death repeating the same thing, Hare Krsna maha-mantra. So immediately you are saved, not to go to the yama-mandira
- We have to practice. This arcana-marga means practice. Immediately you cannot expect that your mind is completely fixed up with Krsna. But if we follow the regulative principles, then it will mature
- We have to purify our consciousness in order to understand that consciousness is eternal. If we can do this, our lives will be successful
- We have to revert ourself, we have to rectify the lust into love. And if we love God, then we love everything. And without loving God, if you want to love something else, that is nonsense
- We have to train our consciousness, divine. That is the duty of human form of life. If we make our consciousness divine, then we are preparing for next divine life
- We have to transcend all these three qualities, sattva-guna, rajo-guna, tamo-guna, especially rajo-guna, tamo-guna. If we do not try to do that, then there is no hope of spiritual salvation or liberation from the material entanglement
- We have to understand through sastra. We cannot see our past, present and future, but if we see through the sastras . . . Sastra-caksusa: "You should try to see from the sastra." Actually, we understand everything through sastra, not directly
- We have to utilize our intelligence. Then . . . this life is meant for that. But if we waste our life, misuse this opportunity of human life just to live like the cats and dogs, ahara-nidra, eating, sleeping, mating and defending, then we are spoiling
- We make a great mistake if we accept Lord Caitanya as a conditioned soul. He is to be understood as the Supreme Absolute Truth, the Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna Himself
- We may advertise ourselves as very great jnanis, learned personalities, but we are actually fools. That is the sastric conclusion. If we are actually jnanis, we should surrender unto Krsna
- We may be imperfect, but Krsna is perfect. Therefore, whatever Krsna says, if we accept it and if we . . . Not accept blindly, but you can employ your logic and argument and try to understand, then your knowledge is perfect
- We may find some mailboxes on the street, and if we post our letters in those boxes, they will naturally go to their destination without difficulty. But any old box, which is not authorized by the post office, will not do the work. BG 1972 purports
- We may go on experimenting with our limited power of senses, but that will always remain doubtful. But if we accept Vedic knowledge, apaurusa knowledge, then it is perfect
- We may have many dangerous moments in our lives, but if we are training ourselves in Krsna consciousness and preparing ourselves to go home, back to Godhead, we will not care for them. Our attitude will then be: Dangers come and go - so let them happen
- We quote Vedic evidence to support our statements, but if we interpret it according to our own judgment, the authority of the Vedic literature is rendered imperfect or useless
- We refuse to accept any controller of this universe because if we accept a controller we have to account for our sinful activities, just as when we accept the government we have to account for our unlawful activities
- We require this eating, sleeping, mating and defending. But if we try (to minimize or make it zero), if we practice, that is called austerity
- We should always remember that if we can keep ourselves always in company with Krsna, we shall attain all perfection. And especially in this age, Krsna has incarnated as the holy name (kali-kale nama-rupe krsna-avatara), - CC Adi 17.22
- We should be searching after eternal happiness, eternal life, eternal engagement. That is success of life. And if we hanker after temporary things, that is not very good intelligence
- We should continue executing our occupational duties, but if we try to satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead by our duties, then our lives will be perfected
- We should gradually come to the sattva-guna, so that we may avoid the two lower gunas (rajo-guna and tamo-guna). This can be done if we regularly discuss Srimad-Bhagavatam and hear about Krsna's activities
- We should have firm faith that the Lord is supreme and that if we surrender to Him, He will take charge of us and indicate how we can get out of material life and return home, back to Godhead
- We should never consider the demigods, even Lord Siva and Lord Brahma, to be on an equal level with Lord Visnu. If we do this, then according to the Padma Purana we are immediately categorized as atheists
- We should not think that we are here and that all the other planets are vacant. From experience we can see that no place on earth is vacant of living entities. If we dig deep down into the earth, we find worms
- We should not willingly do anything wrong. But due to our past habit, if we do something wrong, that we should not be discouraged. But stick to the principle, then gradually you'll be cleansed
- We should philosophically understand that if the original person benefits, the reflection also benefits. So if we decorate Krsna, we also shall be decorated
- We should simply depend on Krsna consciousness, because if we live Krsna consciously under all circumstances, we shall not return to this material world (apunar bhava-darsanam) - SB 1.8.25
- We should try to understand that Krsna does not need our offerings of nice garments, flowers, or food, but if we give such offerings to Krsna, we shall benefit. Thus it is Krsna's favor that He accepts such offerings
- We want money to become happy, but if we take to Krsna consciousness, automatically we will become so happy that we will neglect money. Money will automatically come. Happiness will come. There is no need to endeavor for these things separately
- What for we are accepting initiation? In any condition, in any condition we shall be purified by chanting Hare Krsna, ceto-darpana-marjanam (CC Antya 20.12), if we chant really
- What happens to such a person (who knows the transcendental nature of Krsna's appearance and activities)? Mam eti - He returns to Krsna. If we are to go to Krsna, we must prepare a spiritual body. That preparation is the process of Krsna consciousness
- What is essential today is not so much the rehabilitation of schools and libraries or shops and factories but the rehabilitation of man; we must re-create man if we are to create a new world community
- What is that final intelligence? That we must know. That is God. Just like the sun. If we think that beyond this sun there is no more planet, that is not correct. You cannot go beyond this sun
- What is the ultimate solution? Mam eva ye prapadyante mayam etam taranti te (BG 7.14). If we surrender to Krsna, then we revive our original position
- What is the use in becoming a scientist or a philosopher if we cannot say what our next life will be? A realized student of KC can very easily say what his next life is, what God is, what the living entity is and what his relationship with God is
- What we are? Nothing. But if we establish our loving relationship, which is already there, then we will become the greatest
- Whatever Krsna says about Himself in the Bhagavad-gita, if we accept so much, then we immediately become fit for going back to Godhead, back to home
- When any incarnation comes, He comes through the Ksirobdhisayi Visnu. But Ksirobdhisayi is partial expansion of Krsna. The subject matter is very intricate, but if we follow the sastra and accept it, then some clear conception we can have
- When God Himself comes, all great acaryas, stalwart men, accept Him: "Yes, He is God." If we simply understand God, we make a solution to all our problems
- When Krsna comes, He is not like us. And if we consider Him as one of us, then we must be rascal number one
- When Krsna told the girls, "Now you can safely return to your fathers' homes," they replied, - Sir, if we return to the homes of our fathers, what will be our fate? No one will marry us, because this man kidnapped us
- When Krsna was present on this planet, He proved by His activities and opulence that He is the Supreme Lord. If we are actually anxious to understand who and what the Supreme Lord is, all of the information is given in Vedic literatures
- When one takes poison knowingly, he commits suicide, and not taking advantage of the human form is something like that. If we do not understand Krsna in this life, we are knowingly taking poison
- When one's real face is decorated, the reflection of one's face is automatically decorated. Similarly, if we try to serve Krsna with all our opulences, we, as parts and parcels or reflections of Krsna, will become happy in exchange
- When our eyes are cleansed we thinks clearly; similarly, if we apply the ointment of love of God on the eyes, then we can see God
- When Prahlada Maharaja says manye, "I think," it has to be taken as authoritative statement. We have to follow. If we follow the footprints of great personalities, then there is no danger
- When the purusa and prakrti, male and female, enjoy, they enjoy, they get the same pleasure, but one is purusa; one is prakrti. Similarly, Krsna is purusa, and we are prakrti. If we enjoy with Krsna, then the ananda, sac-cid-ananda, is there
- When the Vedas say that God has no hands, it is meant that He has no material hands. His hands are sac-cid-ananda-vigraha. If we can understand Krsna's activities, form, qualities and pastimes in this way, we become fit to return home, back to Godhead
- When there is no sun there is no such distinction that "This is shining, sunny, and this is shadow." So this distinction is there so long we do not know the real source. But if we know the real source, we can understand that this distinction is temporary

- With so many imperfectness (commiting mistake, illusioned, cheat & imperfect senses), if we try to become a teacher, then I am a cheater. I am not a teacher. We must know first of all
- With the tongue begins spiritual life. If we restrict our tongue not to talk uselessly, simply talk of Krsna or chant Hare Krsna, read Krsna books, and when you are hungry, take krsna-prasadam, then it will be possible, you can control the tongue
- Without being unnecessarily agitated, if we take to the process of Krsna consciousness by constantly chanting Hare Krsna, the cycle of birth and death can be stopped for good
- Without faith we cannot step forward even in our daily life. If we have got faith in ordinary dealings, don't you think that we must have very good faith when we are making progress in spiritual line? But faith should not be blind. Blind faith is useless
- Without knowing the subtle laws of nature, if we tried to justify all our deeds as influenced by the will of the PG, we would be attempting to bring partiality, inebriety, and gracelessness into the acts of the all-good Personality of Godhead

- Yoga means transcending the distress or happiness of the material body. If we connect ourselves with Krsna through the supreme yoga, we can get rid of material happiness and distress arising from the body
- You are after loving affairs, but here in this material world, actually there is no love. It is only lust. And even if we accept that this is love, it will not exist. It will be finished
- You are talking just like a very learned man, but your center of activity is the body. So this is not a symptom of a learned man. So if we take this crucial test of learning, we shall find hardly a learned man in this world
- You can imagine that "There is no God, there is no Yamaraja, there is no punishment. Let me do." That is your fancy. But it is not the fact. Fact is, if we commit some sin we must suffer from it, and there is nobody in the world who can check it
- You may not desire, but if you are not strong, you'll be misled by these rascals. But if we follow this instruction, Narottama dasa Thakura, ara na koriho mane asa, oh, then you become strong. Then you will remain strong
- You should become a perfect human being. Purify your existence. Why you are subjected to birth, death, old age and disease? Because we are impure. Now, if we purify our existence, then there will be no such thing as birth, death, old age and disease
- Your devotional service will be tested at the time of death. Because yam yam vapi smaram loke tyajaty ante kalevaram (BG 8.6). At the time of death, if we can remember Krsna, narayana-smrtih, that is all success
