- My dear King, a self-satisfied person can be happy even with only drinking water. However, one who is driven by the senses, especially by the tongue and genitals, must accept the position of a household dog to satisfy his senses
- My dear King, just try to understand the allegorical position of the deer. Be fully conscious of yourself, and give up the pleasure of hearing about promotion to heavenly planets by fruitive activity
- My dear Lord, O infallible one, my position is like that of a person who has many wives, all trying to attract him in their own way. For example, the tongue is attracted to palatable dishes, the genitals to sex with an attractive woman
- My dear sir, you have said that the relationship between the king and the subject are not eternal, but although such relationships are temporary, when a person takes the position of a king, his duty is to rule the citizens
- My request is, all the Indians who are here in this foreign country, keep your own original culture. Don't forget. Don't be bewildered. Be in your position

- Neither the demigods and sages nor the unintelligent can understand the features of the Lord, nor can they express in words His actual position. May that Supreme Personality of Godhead give me protection
- Never mind what is your position. Krsna will accept you and give you all comfort. Even if you are kicked up, you are a prostitute, Krsna will give you protection. So why we should not take shelter of Krsna? This is very natural conclusion
- Nirvana conception is marginal position between brahmajyoti and this material world
- No one can attain spiritual perfection by physical strength. One must have the spiritual strength which is infused by Balarama, or Sankarsana. Ananta, or Sesa, is the source of the power which sustains all the planets in their different positions
- No one can describe the fortunate position of Kulina-grama. It is so sublime that even sweepers who tend their hogs there also chant the Hare Krsna maha-mantra
- Nobody is prepared to become brahmana, and so far cow protection is concerned, it is in the oblivion. This is the whole world position. Therefore it is in chaotic condition
- Nondevotees are perpetually put into the cycle of birth and death. This is a very miserable condition. Because one's position in life is attained according to one's activities, the asuras, or nondevotees, are put into such miserable conditions
- Not daring to place the dust of the gopis' feet on his own head in this life, Uddhava aspired to have a future birth in Vrndavana in the position of a clump of grass or herbs. He would then be able to have the dust of the gopis' feet
- Not everyone is competent to be liberated from material bondage. It is everyone's duty, therefore, to enjoy according to his present position, but under the direction of the Lord or the Vedas

- Now India is atheist. Very tragic position
- Now India's position is: it is neither spiritual nor material. That's all. Dui noukay pa. Just like it is, the example is, if there are two boats and if you place your leg this boat and that boat, the position is very precarious
- Now, before death, I have to act in such a way that I may have a position in Vaikuntha, in Vrndavana, and I may have permanent life to live with Krsna. This is our real duty
- Now, in human life, we have an opportunity to understand our actual position. Only because you are human beings have you all come here to learn about Krsna consciousness, about the real goal of your life
O

- O Lord Brahma, your position within this universe is certainly most auspicious for everyone, especially the cows and brahmanas
- O mighty-armed Krsna, - Arjuna continues, "does not such a man, being deviated from the path of Transcendence, perish like a riven cloud, with no position in any sphere?" When a cloud is torn apart by the wind, it does not mend back together again
- O mighty-armed Krsna, does not such a man, being deviated from the path of Transcendence, perish like a riven cloud, with no position in any sphere? BG 6.38 - 1972
- O my Lord, the unborn, You have shaken hands with me just as a friend does with a friend (as if equal in position). I shall be engaged in the creation of different types of living entities, and I shall be occupied in Your service
- O Supreme, because I (Prahlada) was born in a family full of the hellish material qualities of passion and ignorance, what is my position? And what is to be said of Your causeless mercy, which was never offered even to Lord Brahma, Lord Siva or Laksmi?
- O thin-waisted woman, who are so beautiful in Your prestigious position, we therefore request You to favor us by settling our dispute
- Of course the jnani's position is better than that of the karmi but that position is also insufficient. The jnani must actually become liberated, and after liberation he may be situated in devotional service BG 18.54, mad-bhaktim labhate param
- Of course, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu is so kind that He says, "Better late than never. Even though you missed the opportunity to begin Krsna consciousness from childhood, begin now, in whatever position you are." That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's teaching

- On the beach you find sometimes on the border of the water, the water is covering the land, & sometimes the land is open. This is called marginal position. Similarly, we are marginal energy. We can remain under the water, or we can remain open also
- One big professor came to lecture on chemical evolution, and he challenged immediately, that "If I give you the chemicals, can you produce life?" He said, "That I cannot say." (chuckles) So this is their position

- One can just imagine his position if a very rich man says, - Don't worry. I will take care of everything for you
- One can love Krishna without any inquiry; that is the highest perfection. To know Krishna as God is not so exalted a position as to love Krishna without knowing. That is the highest perfection. Knowledge means discrimination
- One can raise himself from the lowest position to the highest simply by associating with devotees and hearing Srimad-Bhagavatam regularly from their mouths
- One cannot attain that position (to merge into the Supreme Brahman) simply by following the regulative principles. Rather, one must seriously follow the principles of the gopis
- One cannot attain this elevated position (of spontaneous service) while worshiping the Lord in His opulence
- One cannot satisfy the Supreme Lord by his riches, wealth or opulent position, but anyone can collect a little fruit or a flower and offer it to the Lord. The Lord says that if one brings such an offering in devotion, He will accept it and eat it

- One has to consider things carefully, with intelligence, in the association of a bona fide spiritual master. Thus one can change his position to a higher mode of nature. BG 1972 purports
- One has to tolerate such insults for the sake of Krsna. The devotee of Krsna can accept any position in the service of Krsna
- One has to understand one's position in family or worldly life. That is called intelligence. One should not remain always trapped in family life to satisfy his tongue and genitals in association with a wife. In such a way, one simply spoils his life
- One has to understand the position of prakrti, nature, and purusa, the enjoyer of the nature, and isvara, the knower who dominates or controls nature and the individual soul. One should not confuse the three in their different capacities. BG 1972 purports
- One is eternally the servitor of the Lord (Krsna), and when he forgets this position he thinks of enjoying the material world, but factually he is in illusion
- One is situated in different positions in various forms of life that are all but creations of the illusory energy, which works under the direction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead

- One may stay in his position of life but if one hears from the mouth of a pure devotee, he gradually comes to the understanding of his relationship with the Lord and thus engages in His loving service, and his life becomes completely perfect
- One must have firm faith in the process of devotional service and the scriptures that support it. If one hears the activities of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu with this faith, he can be freed from his envious position
- One must not forget the difficult position of one's being in the network of action and reaction by which the spirit soul becomes bound up in material existence
- One must promote himself to the stage of goodness through his character and behavior and then gradually come to the transcendental platform, or adhoksaja platform, in which he realizes both his position and the position of others
- One need not struggle through the different Vedic stages of realization, for one can be lifted to the position of paramahamsa simply by agreeing to hear the message of Srimad-Bhagavatam with patience
- One often thinks of conducting business to improve devotional activity. But the contamination is so strong that it may later develop into misunderstanding, described as pratisthasa (the desire for name and fame and for high position)
- One should be intelligent enough to know the position of Srimad-Bhagavatam by considering personalities like Sukadeva Gosvami, who deals with the subject so carefully

- One should not take advantage of his position simply to live like a fire without light
- One should not think, that this state (of samadhi) is simply a state of trance whereby one remains seated in lotus position in a corner for days on end. No, liberation means serving
- One should therefore understand the fixed position of the spirit soul and how he is carried away by the waves of material nature to different bodies and different situations under lamentation and hankering
- One should try to transcend even the Brahman pleasure in order to approach the position of dealing with Krsna face to face. As the mind is the center of all the activities of the senses, Krsna is called the master of the senses, Hrsikesa
- One spoils an opulent position in the material world by driving cars, spending time in nightclubs or tasting abominable food in restaurants
- One who accepts a visayi disciple is not a bona fide spiritual master. Even if he is, his position may be damaged due to association with an unscrupulous visayi

- One who does not take shelter of the lotus feet of Krsna, he may rise up very high by austerity and penance, but he cannot remain in that position

- One who has understood the fixed position of the soul should not be disturbed by the incoming and outgoing interactions of the modes of material nature in the form of happiness and distress
- One who is absorbed in the thought of bodily conceptions cannot understand his situation. BG was spoken to liberate one from the bodily conception of life, and Arjuna put himself in this position in order to receive this information. BG 1972 Introduction

- One who, understanding that his position is to serve, transfers himself to the service of the Lord, at once becomes eligible for Vaikunthaloka. BG 1972 purports
- One's only duty is to surrender, for one is a servant and cannot independently attain the position of master
- One's position is determined by one's desires; the Lord is not responsible for the higher or lower grades of our existence
- One's position is safe only in so far as he does not falsely declare himself to be God or proprietor. It has become fashionable to claim to be God, and fools accept such claims, but from the Vedic literatures we understand that God is not so cheap
- One's position should be established by personal qualifications and not by birth
- One's relationship with the Supreme Lord is in proportion to that surrender and the service one renders unto the Lord. Thus throughout the entire world the higher or lower positions of the living entities are selected by the living entities themselves
- Other section number C, in which you have mentioned that there is no American to conduct this service, may be refuted on the ground that I have got so many American disciples, and why they will not conduct; so this position is not very sound in my opinion

- Our personal power or endeavor is not always supreme. We must therefore accept the position offered to us by the order of the Supreme

- Our present position is bondage. We are bound up by the laws of nature. We may foolishly declare independence - that is our foolishness - but actually we are bound up by the laws of nature
- Our present position is that we have got this human form of life after a great evolutionary process & this is the opportunity to understand Krishna, & revive our original consciousness without which we are sure to go back to the cycle of birth and death

- Regarding your difficulty in rendering Caitanya Bhagavata, yes you are right that you are overstepping your position. Better to stop it

- Similarly when there is question of greatness, that is possible, that expansion. And because I cannot expand, frog philosophy, therefore Krsna cannot expand, that is nonsense. We are thinking always in terms of my position
- Similarly, as one has subtle dreams at night, when the living entity is awake he lives in gross dreams of nation, community, society, possessions, skyscrapers, bank balance, position and honor
