- In desert you cannot make it fertile because that particular tract of land is forbidden by God: "No, nothing should be produced." You cannot do it. If you have got producing power, then why don't you produce sufficient grains and vegetables in the desert?
- In Europe, America, here also, so many frustrated young boys, they are coming to be practically of no value to the country. In America I see thousands of hippies, they are doing nothing. So what is the future of the country?
- In some houses He (Caitanya) would steal milk & drink it, and in others He would steal & eat prepared rice. Sometimes He would break cooking pots. If there were nothing to eat but there were small babies, the Lord would tease the babies and make them cry
- In the beginning it (the body) was nothing, and in the end it will be nothing. Why then should one commit sinful activities when it is manifested? It is not possible for anyone to do this unless he is rascal number one
- In the Krsna consciousness nothing has to be eradicated. Everything has to be purified. This is the Krsna consciousness process
- In the liberated state, everything is blissful in relation with the Lord, and one has no desires to fulfill and nothing to lament over. Thus, following the benediction, full spiritual bliss comes upon us
- In the material world inanimate objects are not conscious, but in the spiritual world this is not so. There a table is conscious, the land is conscious, the trees are conscious - everything is conscious
- In the material world one may try to make everything permanent by developing the qualities of goodness, but because the goodness in the material world is mixed with passion and ignorance, nothing here can exist permanently, despite all the good plans
- In the material world there are inanimate objects that are not conscious, but in the spiritual world nothing is inanimate. There a table is conscious, the land is conscious, the trees are conscious - everything is conscious - CC Intro
- In the material world, even goodness is sometimes contaminated with tinges of passion and ignorance. Therefore in the material world nothing can be in pure goodness
- In the mundane world they (the inhabitants of Satyaloka) have nothing to achieve, and in the transcendental world they are full in themselves. Then why do they come to the mundane world?
- In the palaces of the Lord (Krsna) there was nothing wanting for fulfilling all desires of the Lord
- In the Vedas and Upanisads there are only indirect hints to all this. Nothing is directly explained there, and therefore Srimad-Bhagavatam is the mature fruit of all the Vedic trees of literatures
- In the Vedic injunctions we find that the Supreme Soul, or the root cause of everything, has to be searched out because nothing exists independently of the Supreme Soul. Therefore the material manifestation is also a transformation of His potency
- In this dual, the world of duality, here, in this material world, the, "This thing is very good, this thing is very bad," it is simply mental concoction. Everything here is bad. Nothing good. So this is our mental creation only
- In this material world, nothing should be accepted for one's sense gratification: everything should be accepted for the service of the Lord. This is the mentality of the spiritual world
- In this way, Jarasandha, the King of Magadha Province, having lost all his strength and having been insulted by his arrest and subsequent release, could do nothing but return to his kingdom. Thus Lord Krsna conquered the soldiers of Jarasandha
- In this world, there is nothing so sublime and pure as transcendental knowledge. Such knowledge is the mature fruit of all mysticism. And one who has achieved this enjoys the self within himself in due course of time. BG 4.38 - 1972

- Indeed, when all the devotees had requested the Lord to bestow His mercy upon Gopinatha Pattanayaka, the Lord had replied that He could do nothing
- Indeed, You are the original element. You are the witness of all activities, but because You are as great as the sky, You are never touched by any of them. You are the witness of everything as Parabrahman and Paramatma. O SPG, nothing is unknown to You
- Indra said, "For persons who are engaged in the transcendental loving service of Your (Krsna's) Lordship, all the opulences which were taken away from us by the demons are counted as nothing"
- Instead of serving the senses, if you serve the Lord of the senses, then you are in natural condition, and that is called bhagavata-dharma. So bhagavata-dharma is nothing unnatural, or Krsna consciousness is nothing unnatural. It is very natural
- Intelligence in the material world is described (SB 4.29.5) as pramada because in material existence the living entity falsely claims things to be his. He thinks, "I am the monarch of all I survey." This is ignorance. Actually, nothing belongs to him
- It (liquor) is only sugar and molasses or some other combination fermented and distilled. Of course, it is bad because it creates intoxication. Although in one sense nothing is bad, liquor is bad because it creates bad effects
- It costs nothing. If you simply come here, you understand everything. We don't charge anything. But they will not come. They go to a rascal who will charge fifty dollars for meeting and all talk nonsense. They'll go there
- It does not depend that what family, what heritage, what country, what nation, what color, what education. No, nothing. Simply one has to become willing devotee of Krsna
- It does not require any high education, high birth or great riches or to become very beautiful. Nothing required. Beautiful or not beautiful, everyone can become Krsna conscious. There is no impediment
- It has become fashionable to meditate, but people know nothing about the object of meditation. That is explained here (in CC Madhya 20.345). Yad dhyayato visnum. One has to meditate upon Lord Visnu or Lord Krsna

- It is best to keep faith in Sukadeva Goswami, because actually our only business is to go back to home, back to Godhead. So whether Sukadeva Goswami or the modern scientists are right or wrong, it is nothing interesting to us
- It is by the grace of Lord Krsna on account of your sincere service unto Him that you have got a very nice place for our propaganda center. I understand that the house is purchased by you, but you have mentioned nothing about it
- It is correct that the brahma-jyotir is comprised of spiritual souls and that ultimately nothing is impersonal. Dead matter means forgetfulness of Krsna
- It is good news that you have come to your senses that nothing should be done by contractor. Everything should be done by ourselves. Mr. Saraf is experienced, so take his help. So go on raising funds, constructing, and send me the plans
- It is not possible to experience Krsna by our these material blunt senses. No educational qualification, no Ph.D. degree or to take birth in very high family or to become rich. Nothing. Simply a true feeling, desire
- It is not that the previous acaryas and others, they did not know what is airplane, what is speed, how to run. Don't think foolishly, as if they have manufactured. It is nothing, not even third-, not even fourth-class, tenth-class
- It is not that we are serving, we have no sense gratification. The married couples are there. Nothing is prohibited; everything is there. But it is adjusted, adjusted. Not like cats and dogs
- It is not that we should simply take things from Krsna and offer Him nothing. Everyone is taking something from God, so why not give something
- It is said here (in SB 3.23.42) that for a great devotee like Kardama Muni, nothing is impossible
- It is said in this verse (SB 3.25.35): sakam vacam sprhaniyam vadanti. By saying that Krsna is blind, that He has no eyes, no hands, no nothing, we are indirectly saying that Krsna does not exist. This is certainly not a favorable way to talk about Krsna
J
- Jagadananda Pandita continued to offer the Lord varieties of vegetables. Out of fear, the Lord said nothing but continued eating happily
- Just like asses, they have so much big burden, but nothing of the burden belongs to him. Mudha. They are called mudha, asses. For nothing happiness, which he will never be able to take with him. What do they say? They are doing it for next generation
- Just like Ramakrishna Mission. What religion they have got? Anyone? This religion, that religion, Jainism, Sikhism, this "ism," no nothing. Simply bogus propaganda
- Just see, all these people are working, and they are madmen. They are not Americans or Indians, Germans or Japanese. They are nothing of the kind
K

- Karna was very charitable, especially toward the brahmanas. There was nothing he could not spare for a brahmana
- Krsna comes just to save the pious and the righteous and to vanquish the impious. These are stated in the Bhagavad-gita. Therefore natural conclusion is that, His potencies, His body and His activities - everything spiritual. There is nothing material
- Krsna consciousness movement is nothing extra; it is simply cleansing your heart to understand things as they are. That's all. Nothing external. You have to understand that you are eternal servant of God, or son
- Krsna continued, "Here also I am not the proprietor of anything, but am always penniless. There is no cause to lament for such a penniless condition; I possessed nothing in the past, so why should I lament that I do not possess anything at present"
- Krsna continued, "In comparison to Sisupala, with his personal qualities, I am nothing. And you (Rukmini) may personally realize it. I am surprised that you rejected the marriage with Sisupala and accepted Me, who am inferior in comparison to Sisupala"
- Krsna continued, "You (Rukmini) mistakenly heard about My having very exalted character, although factually I was nothing more than a beggar. Without seeing Me and My actual position, simply by hearing about Me, you selected Me as your husband"
- Krsna has nothing to learn from anyone. He is independently full of all knowledge
- Krsna never brings misfortune to anyone, to say nothing of His devotees. BG 1972 purports
- Krsna persisted, "Even for those who are not so liberal, nothing should be kept secret from the family members and friends, although secrecy may be maintained for persons who are inimical. Therefore you cannot keep any secrets from Me"

- Krsna says, "Those who are simply attached to Me by loving service. These devotees have everything at their disposal, but they desire nothing outside of My devotional service"

- Krsna, the unborn Supreme Personality of Godhead, master of all masters of mystic power, delivers all living entities, moving and nonmoving. Nothing is astonishing in the activities of the Lord
- Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami wants to point out that nothing could compare to the Lord’s mercy toward Maharaja Prataparudra; therefore he uses the word dekha (just see) and caitanyera krpa-mahabala - how powerful is the mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu
- Ksama, forgiveness, should be practiced, and one should excuse the minor offenses of others. BG 1972 purports
- Kurus said, "When the time for dissolution comes, You (Balarama) close up the whole cosmic manifestation within Yourself. At that time, nothing remains but Yourself lying in the Causal Ocean as Maha-Visnu"
L
- Laid down on a foul bed infested with sweat and germs, the poor child (the ten-month-old living entity) is incapable of scratching his body to get relief from his itching sensation to say nothing of sitting up, standing or even moving
- Liberation is not a very great achievement for a devotee, to say nothing of the results of ritualistic performances in religion, economic development or the materialistic life of sense gratification. Devotees do not care for these
- Life is meant for the right cause, or sat - that which exists for all time. In the material world, nothing is sat, or eternal, but the bad bargain of the material world can be used for the best purpose
- Lord Caitanya inquired: "What is the most profitable thing in the world, the essence of all auspicious events?" Ramananda Raya replied that there is nothing as profitable as the association of pure devotees
- Lord Siva wanted to criticize Citraketu for externally posing as a great devotee but being interested in enjoying with the Vidyadhari women. These were all friendly jokes; there was nothing serious for which Citraketu should have been cursed by Parvati
- Lord Siva, the most powerful demigod, second only to Lord Visnu, is self-sufficient. Although he has nothing to aspire for in the material world, for the benefit of those in the material world he is always busily engaged everywhere
- Love means taking and giving also. If we just take from someone and give him nothing in return, that is not love - it is exploitation. It is not that we should just continue eating without ever offering anything to Krsna
M
- Many young Americans and Europeans are fortunate and know nothing of any hodgepodge god, they have taken this bona fide Krsna consciousness movement seriously
- Material advancement may be very pleasing to an ordinary man, but ultimately he is defeated because he identifies himself with the material body and considers everything related to it to be his property. This is ignorance. Actually nothing belongs to him
- Maya means you are doing something only for nothing. That is called maya. Maya means nothing: which has no existence, phantasmagoria; which has no existence, but we accept something
- Milk changes into yogurt when mixed with a yogurt culture, but actually it is constitutionally nothing but milk. Similarly, Govinda, the S P of Godhead, assumes the form of Lord Siva (Sambhu) for the special purpose of material transactions
- Milk is transformed into yogurt when it associates with a yogurt culture. Thus yogurt is nothing but milk, but still it is not milk
- Misusing the energy. We have spent ten million by power, gas, going there and coming, so many cars. Another ten million. So all these twelve million, three . . . thirteen million dollars spent for nothing. Dancing like dogs, independence, maya
- Modern astronomers? They do not know anything. They do not know what is there in the moon planet, they do not know what is there in the sun planet, in the Venus - nothing. Still they are going on, they are proud
- Modern so-called scientists and other materialists are very satisfied because they can construct great bridges, roads and machines, but such activities are nothing comparable to those of Maharaja Priyavrata
- Molasses fermented with sulphuric acid and then distilled. That is called spirit, or liquor. So thing is, nothing is bad, but because if a thing creates bad effects, then it is bad
- Mucukunda continued, "My dear Lord, I am not an exception to this universal law of material nature. I am also a foolish person who has wasted his time for nothing. And my position is especially difficult"
- My students, they offer me so much respect, but all these respects are due to my spiritual master. I am nothing. I am just like peon. Just like peon delivers one letter. He is not responsible for what is written in that letter
N
- Na tat-samas cabhyadhikas ca drsyate: nothing is equal to Him (the Lord), nor is anything greater than Him. Although He manifests Himself in so many ways, personally He has nothing to do, for everything is done by expansions of His unlimited energies
- Nature has given a body that..., just like a tailor can give me a set of dress, but the dress, when I put on, the dress looks like a man, with hands and legs. But dress is nothing; it is simply outward covering of a man, a living entity
- No other method will help you - yoga, karma, jnana, nothing. Bhakti-yoga is always strong, especially in this age, Kali-yuga. Therefore it is said, kalau nasty eva nasty eva nasty eva, especially
- No, I am learned, and you are nothing. You have not . . . You have no degrees of university. I have got degrees - Yes, that is all right, but your degrees and knowledge have been taken away by maya
- Not that sitting one place doing nothing and become Krsna conscious. Then there will be fall down. Don't imitate Haridasa Thakura. That is not possible. You must work
- Nothing actually belongs to the living entity, but he becomes mad after everything, claiming, "This is mine. This is mine. This is mine." Janasya moho 'yam aham mameti (SB 5.5.8). This is called illusion
- Nothing belongs to me. Isavasyam idam sarvam, everything belongs to Krsna. Therefore our movement is for awakening this Krsna consciousness. We should know that everything belongs to Krsna
- Nothing belongs to the living entity, but he claims that everything belongs to him. Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu recommends that this false intelligence be purified
- Nothing belongs to us. There is no question of morality unless one surrenders to Krsna. Everything immoral for a person who is not Krsna conscious. Everything immoral
- Nothing belongs to you. The fruit is God's. The flower is God's. You are God's. Simply you have to change your consciousness. This is Krsna consciousness
- Nothing comes out automatically. It is coming out of the energy of the Supreme Lord, but the energies are so subtle, nice and artistic that all of a sudden you see a nice flower. So He is the greatest artist
- Nothing connected with Hari, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is material. A devotee who considers all this is always situated in spiritual activities, and therefore he is no longer attracted by material activities - param drstva nivartate - BG 2.59
- Nothing could be manifested without being controlled. It is childish not to consider the controller. BG 1972 Introduction
- Nothing exists without Him (the Supreme Personality of Godhead), and therefore everything, however wonderful it may appear to our meager knowledge, is but the work of the magical wand of the Supreme Lord
- Nothing has given me satisfaction. Therefore now I have good sense; I put myself under Your control. Instead of being controlled by dog, let me be controlled by God." This is Krsna consciousness
- Nothing here is permanent; therefore everything is called illusory. Actually we do not understand this; we take all this as permanent. The fact is, however, that only Krsna is permanent. Krsna's material energy is not permanent
- Nothing in existence is possible unless energized by the will of the Lord
- Nothing is absolute truth in this dual world. You did not know this, neither you ever cared to know this from the right sources and therefore all your attempts to create unity were followed by disunity and Ahimsa. Ahimsa was followed by Himsa
- Nothing is absolutely equal with the Absolute Truth, but at the same time, nothing is independent of the Absolute Truth
- Nothing is apart from the substance, but at the same time the energies are different from the substance. This conception is not contradictory. Srimad-Bhagavatam explicitly promulgates this simultaneously-one-and-different philosophy of the Vedanta-sutra
- Nothing is bad if properly used for the service of the Lord
- Nothing is bad provided it is meant for Krsna's satisfaction. Atah pumbhir dvija-srestha varnasrama-vibhagasah. The varnasrama-vibhaga must be there
- Nothing is difficult. For the time being it (spreading KC) is difficult, but in due course of time it will be very easy. Now who knew that in Europe and America or all over the world, Hare Krsna will go on?
- Nothing is false
- Nothing is hampering in the process of preaching Krishna Consciousness. The only qualification required is that one should know the genesis of Krishna Consciousness and then he is just the fit person to preach this great philosophy
- Nothing is impossible for Him. Therefore, that He enabled even a living being like Aghasura to attain the salvation of sarupya-mukti was not at all wonderful for Krsna
- Nothing is independent of Him (God)
- Nothing is possible without tapasya. Lord Brahma, however, was empowered to create this entire universe because of his austerities. The more we engage in austerities, the more we become powerful by the grace of the Lord
- Nothing is prohibited, but everything is made yukta, regulated, with the higher purpose always in mind. By following all these rules and regulations of living, one becomes purified, and all misconceptions due to ignorance become nil
- Nothing is purer than Her love. But its behavior is always perverse and crooked
- Nothing is separate from the Supreme Lord. This is the philosophy of acintya-bhedabheda-tattva
- Nothing is unobtainable for devotees who have satisfied the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the cause of all causes, the original source of everything
- Nothing of the cosmic energies is different from Him because everything is an emanation from Him; but all such expanded energies have specific functions and display as designed by the Lord, and therefore they are simultaneously different from the Lord
- Nothing performed for spiritual realization or for material benefit can be successful without the devotional service to the Lord
- Nothing real is in this material world, but reality is in the spiritual world. The Lord's form and His abode - Goloka Vrndavana in the Vaikuntha planets - are eternal realities
- Nothing remains unachieved when the Supreme Personality of Godhead is pleased with someone. By transcendental achievement one understands everything else to be insignificant
- Nothing should be accepted blindly; everything should be accepted with care and with caution. BG 1972 purports
- Nothing should be accepted which is not recognized. You see? So this (harer nama eva kevalam) is recognized method. Now it depends on us. Let us follow this process and see how we are making progress in the spiritual path
- Nothing should be done impelled by any sentiment
- Nothing should be performed for sense gratification, but everything should be done for the satisfaction of Krsna. BG 1972 purports
- Nothing should be used for one's sense gratification. That is real renunciation. Nor should one unnecessarily increase the necessities of the body
- Nothing to impel my Krishna Consciousness
- Nothing will be finished. God's resources are unlimited. But they will be finished. Making research, research, they will be finished. God's resources will not be finished, but they will be finished. Unnecessarily they have created necessities of life
- Nothing worth obtaining from religiousness
- Now anyone can understand: nothing in this world is permanent. Everything is temporary. It may be for few years or few hours or few minutes, but it is limited
O
- O best of the intelligent demigods, although it is true that nothing is difficult for one to obtain when I am pleased with him, a pure devotee, whose mind is exclusively fixed upon Me, does not ask Me for anything but the opportunity to engage in DS
- O greatest of all rulers, your actual identity is impossible for us to understand. As far as we can see, your presence brings flourishing happiness to everyone. Beyond this, no one can appreciate your activities. We can see this much, and nothing more
- Of course nothing is possible without the sanction of the Supreme Will of Sri Krishna but still man-made laws must have defects as the lawmakers are deficient in four primary principles of a conditioned soul
- Oh, again, "heard it from devotee." (laughter) That is very dangerous. What Caitanya's movement has got with politics? Nothing. They drag Caitanya's movement, that. Many rascals do that. It has nothing to do with politics. It is simply spiritual
- On the conclusion of the All Religious Conference held at Bombay very recently, I may submit that nothing practical has come out of it for uniting the different faiths of the world

- One can immediately purify his entire house simply by remembering exalted personalities, to say nothing of directly seeing them, touching their lotus feet, washing their feet or offering them places to sit
- One has to realize that nothing in the world belongs to any individual person, but that everything belongs to the Supreme Lord. That is the real purport of mayi, or unto Me. BG 1972 purports
- One should consider how much loss one suffers if he wastes even a moment of his life for nothing
- One should definitely try to understand that sense enjoyment is not the ultimate goal of human life. Herein (SB 1.16.9) it is said that during the daytime one works "for nothing" because the aim is nothing but sense enjoyment
- One should give up thinking of "my possessions, my son and my husband" (janasya moho'yam aham mameti (SB 5.5.8)). Nothing belongs to anyone but the Supreme Lord
- One should learn detachment from the bumblebees, for they collect drops of honey here and there and keep it in their honeycomb, but then someone comes and by force takes all the honey away, leaving the bumblebees with nothing
- One should not even think of women or look at them, to say nothing of talking with them. This is called first-class brahmacarya
- One should understand that, factually, nothing belongs to anyone. Then where is the question of renunciation? One who knows that everything is Krsna's property is always situated in renunciation. BG 1972 purports
- One who always hears and chants about the transcendental pastimes of the Lord is always situated on a platform on which he has nothing to ask in terms of material benefits
- One who can see that all activities are performed by the body, which is created of material nature, and sees that the self does nothing, actually sees. BG 13.30 - 1972
- One who desires nothing of material enjoyment should worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- One who must receive the results of work has some designated duty, but one who has nothing to achieve within the three planetary systems certainly has no duty. BG 1972 purports
- One's material strength is nothing before the strength of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Others ask for the favor of the goddess of fortune, and despite such prayers she declines to award such favors. But still she renders service unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, although He has nothing to accept from her
- Our Krsna consciousness is so nice, the more you advance, you see new year, new year. That's all. Nothing is old. People are seeing that they are simply chanting the old slogan, Hare Krsna
- Our point is that this Krsna consciousness movement is nothing like manufactured religious principle. No. It is authorized
- Our preaching must be based upon the subject matter from books and nothing outside of them
- Our so much so-called knowledge is nothing in comparison to Krishna's full knowledge. That is admitted by Brahma there in that verse, that people may say they know You very well, but so far I am concerned, I admit I do not know even a farthing of You!
- Our students do not even smoke, do not drink tea coffee nothing. They do not go to cinema, no club, no restaurant
- Out of their great affection for Krsna, and being unaware of the extent of His potencies, they (the inhabitants of Vrndavana) became overwhelmed with grief and anxiety because they had nothing dearer than Krsna
P
- Pandavas knew nothing except Krsna, and therefore the Lord was also always ready to help them in all respects and in all circumstances. That is the transcendental nature of the Lord. He reciprocates the dependence of the devotee
- Persons with a poor fund of knowledge take the credit of success into their own accounts and give nothing to the credit of the Lord. That is the symptom of the nondevotee class of men
- Philadelphia temple has improved nicely under your supervision. So for the time being continue to develop it nicely. Nothing should be done hastily or haphazardly

- Regarding parampara system: there is nothing to wonder for big gaps
- Regarding your separating from Nandarani, nothing should be done artificially. Nandarani is not different from you. She also seeks Krsna consciousness. Your household life is not repugnant; it is favorable
- Regarding your situation, it is nothing new for Westerners. This is a family matter. It is better to consult Bali Mardan how to manage your personal affairs. He is a grhastha, so you can speak with him
- Relatives require some money - they also expect from father some money, "All right you take also some money." But not that whole thing goes to the relatives and nothing to Krsna. No

- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya became very much astonished upon hearing this. He became stunned and said nothing
- Sat-nyasa, to sacrifice everything . . . sacrifice means nothing to be sacrificed, but sacrifice the sense of, "I am the Lord." That's all. What you have got you can sacrifice? This is simply a bluff, sacrifice

- Since everything belongs to Krsna and nothing belongs to anyone else, whatever we possess is actually Krsna's property (isavasyam idam sarvam) - ISO 1
- Since He (God) is full in all transcendental attributes, nothing abominable from the material world can exist in Him. He is transcendental and spiritual, and therefore conceptions of material happiness and distress do not apply to Him
- Since he (Pariksit) was always protected by the Lord, he could have avoided the effect of such a curse by the grace of the Lord, but he did not take such undue advantage for nothing. Rather, he made the best use of a bad bargain
- Since he (the devotee) has nothing to do with anything material, what pleasure can he derive from material benedictions like kingship or other overlordships, which are finished quickly with the end of the body?
- Since the complete whole, or the Absolute Truth, is the source of everything, nothing is independent of Him. Everything exists within the body of the Absolute Truth
- Since the devotees in the material world know almost nothing about these (free loving affairs) affairs, the Lord desires to show these affairs to them
- Since the quality of passion is conspicuous by its absence in the Vaikuntha planets, nothing there is created; everything there is eternally existent. And because there is no mode of ignorance, there is also no question of annihilation or destruction

- Such persons treat all living entities equally. They never become overwhelmed by anger like animals, who can see nothing without differentiation
