- A devotee, his business is that "Because I have got this material body and because I had my past misdeeds, although I am suffering, it does not matter. It comes and goes. It does not matter. Let me do my duty." That is advice of Krsna
- A female child - by evolution, means when she gets another body, youthful body, her consciousness is different. If you get the body of a pig, your consciousness is different from the consciousness of a man

- Charity means voluntarily giving away one's material possessions. In the present age there is no sacrifice, but from historical literatures like the Mahabharata we get information that kings performed sacrifices by distributing rubies, gold and silver
- Chemical Evolution. "From chemical life has come." Just see. And he has got Nobel Prize
- Combine together & it will be nice body: the leg will walk, the hand will protect, the head will give instruction, and the belly will get energy by eating food. Those divisions are required. Not that everyone is all. No, there must be division of labor

- Death means you have forgotten everything. Suppose I was a very big king or prime minister or president. But that is all finished. Now I've got another life, another chapter of life
- Dehinah means the one who possesses this body. That is meaning, the dehinah. Just like in Sanskrit word, guninah. Guninah means one who has got some special attributes

- Devahuti's position is a perfect woman. She got good father, she got good husband, and she got excellent son. So woman has got three stages in life. Man has got ten stages
- Devaki got Krsna as his child. So every father and mother should take this vow that, "Unless our children become first class, we don't want children." This is ideal. What is the use of begetting cats and dogs? You must have first-class children

- Entangled means now I have got this human form of body, but according to my desire at the time of death I may get another body, which may not be human form of body
- Especially in the Western country, I have seen, a girl is not married, but she has got child. What is that? That is varna-sankara. So varna-sankara increases; the world becomes hellish
- Every civilized nation, every civilized man has got his scripture. May he be a Christian, may be a Hindu, may be a Muhammadan or may be a Buddhist. It doesn't matter. But everyone has got his authority, book of authority, scripture
- Every individual soul has got little independence. Not full independence. That can be used properly; that can be misused also. That depends on me
- Every living entity has got an independence, minute, because he is also spiritual atom. We are all spiritual atoms. That atomic, spiritual atomic force... Just like a material atomic force is so strong, so you can just imagine how strong is spiritual atom
- Every Sanskrit word has got its root meaning. Just like Krsna. Krsna has got His root meaning. Krsna, "the greatest." Krs, and na means negation. There are different meanings, but this is one of the meanings
- Everyone has got asakti. Asakti means attachment, this material attachment

- Fever is not his natural condition, but somehow or other, he has got fever. Similarly, we are immortal. That will be explained. Na jayate na mriyate va (BG 2.20). The living entity never takes birth, never dies; therefore immortal
- First of all, a boy is trained as brahmacari, spiritual life. Then he is advised not to enter family life. But if he is unable to control his sex life, he is allowed, "All right. You get yourself married." Then he remains in family life
- For devotional service nobody should be anxious to get some material power. Rather, we should be always anxious to acquire how we can advance our anxiety, our eagerness, to serve the Lord
- For getting that supreme knowledge (I am not this body, but I am spirit soul) so many, I mean to say, transcendentalists, they were trying life after life, just to get detached. But the easiest process is that if one is engaged in the devotional service

- Generally we perform religious rites, ritualistic ceremony, yajna, dharma, for getting some economic development. Dharma artha kama
- Generally, a daughter inherits the qualities of her father, and a son gets the qualities of his mother. Thus Mrtyu's daughter, Sunitha, got all the qualities of her father, and Vena inherited the qualities of his mother
- Ghost creates disturbance. He hasn't got gross body to enjoy. They're ghostly haunted; therefore a male ghost haunts over woman, woman ghost haunts over man
- Ghost means that those who are too much sinful, they do not get this gross body. They are punished with the position, to remain in the subtle body, at least for some time. That is ghostly life
- Ghost will be present before you, but you cannot see him. Generally these ghosts are mischievous, because they do not get gross body
- Go on chanting, offering prasadam. You have got your food grains. Don't be dependent on anyone else. Become self-independent. And don't be after money. Simply produce your bare necessities of life
- Gold is valuable, and if there is flavor, it is more valuable. Of course, in the material world there is no gold which has got good scent. But in the spiritual world that is possible
- Gopala Bhatta also got the opportunity to serve the Lord at this time - when Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu was touring South India and stayed for four months during the period of Caturmasya at their house
- Gotra is the family tradition. According to Vedic civilization, everybody has got gotra. Gotra means of the same family, of rsis, gotra, from the rsis. So we have to become acyuta-gotra, again belonging to the family of Krsna

- Hari Hari Biphale, 1968 part one - I got this human form of life, manusya-janama paiya, radha-krsna na bhajiya, but I did not engage myself in the loving transcendental service of Radha and Krsna
- Having some faith in me and in this Krsna consciousness process is the first and only requirement for getting actual wisdom. If there is faith, understanding will follow

- O great sage (Vyasadeva), as soon as I (Narada) got a taste for the Personality of Godhead (Krsna), my attention to hear of the Lord was unflinching
- O my dear hero, who in this world will not accept a husband like you? You are so famous, so magnanimous, so beautiful and so easily gotten
- On account of the presence of the soul, we have got so much intelligence, we have got so much thoughtful, psychological effect. So many things wonderful they are. But as soon as the soul is not there, everything collapse
- On this earthly planet there are so many cities. And in each city, there are so many newspapers. And each newspaper has got so many editions. This is the position of the material world. Now, think over the spiritual world
- Once you take up one body and enjoy as your body's senses dictate, you prepare another body by such sense enjoyment, and you get another body as you want it
- One can become brahmana. If he gets association of a brahmana, if he agrees to be trained up by a brahmana, he can become brahmana. And brahmana means brahma janati iti brahmana, not by birth. Anyone who has full knowledge of the Supreme, he is brahmana
- One has got tendency for a certain thing. That tendency can be engaged in Krsna's service also. It is not difficult. Simply it requires training and guidance
- One has got wife and he is having illicit sex with other woman, that is, that is crime
- One has to approach the spiritual master. He will give direction that "This boy is meant for becoming a brahmana." Everyone has got some tendency. From the tendency it should be designated. Or by work
- One has to hear about the Supreme Personality of Godhead from a pure devotee. The Pracetas got this opportunity from the great sage Narada, who told them of the activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His devotees
- One has to take to this process of hari-kirtana. Anyone can take, without any prequalification. You haven't got to study philosophy or Vedanta
- One may now ask, How can we get complete information? The process is to receive knowledge via the disciplic succession of spiritual masters and disciples beginning with Krsna

- One who takes his birth in a family of yogi, devotee, oh, he has got better chance for cultivating the same spiritual culture from which in his past life he had fallen. Therefore Krsna says, etad dhi durlabhataram
- Our government has got planning commission. The planning commission has brought people in such a condition that they are dying of starvation. And they are taking salary, big, big, fat salary. This is going on
- Our Krsna consciousness movement is that you have got this human form of body. Don't miss the opportunity. That you can, if you properly utilize, if you train yourself, you can be transferred to the platform of eternal, spiritual bliss
- Our Krsna consciousness movement is to produce some great souls. If people get opportunity to associate with great souls, then automatically his path for liberation will be open
- Our mission is to preach Krishna Consciousness, and if possible, try to tackle this gentleman. Because he has got some inclination toward Krishna Consciousness, so let us try, to help him as far as possible. So continue correspondence with him
- Our only duty is to carry out the order of the Supreme. Other things is already done by Him. So if we abide by the orders of the Supreme, then we get the credit. We should know that

- People are always trying to get some government post or some position in a reputed business firm because the service rendered in such positions earns great profits
- Prahlada Maharaja says, na tat-prayasah kartavyam: you should not waste your energy for material happiness, because you cannot get more than what you are destined to have. That is not possible
- Prakrti, nature, will offer the body, and there are so many varieties of body. So one should know at least what kind of body I'm going to get next. That is intelligence. And if he becomes other than human being, that is not very good proposal
- Puranjana got both sons and daughters married. It is the duty of a father and mother to arrange for the marriage of their sons and daughters. That is the obligation in Vedic society

- Simply by hearing the message of Srimad-Bhagavatam and Bhagavad-gita, and the names of Krsna diligently, submissively, and from the bona fide source, we can immediately get some relief from this material existence
- Simply chant and you get the result. And those who are chanting, those who have joined this movement, those who are seriously engaged, ask them how they are advancing, how they are realizing. The method is very simple
- Simply dreaming I am getting one lakh of rupees, that is good, or actually, if you get five rupees, that is good? Which is good?
- Simply get production from the land and take milk from the cows, the whole food problem solved
- Simply laboring, simply wasting your valuable time. That's all. Don't waste your time. You have got very precious life in this human form of existence. Don't waste your time. Just try to increase your love of Godhead. That is the perfection of your life
- Simply you wait for the natural death. Where is the restriction? You have got a limited number of cows. Either you wait for the death, or you kill it at once, the number of cows are the same. So we simply request you that you don't kill them
- Since not everyone got an opportunity to offer invitations to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu personally, those who did not requested the Sanodiya brahmana to ask the Lord to accept their invitations
- So according to Vedic culture, if one woman has got son, she is not considered to be widow. Widow means one who hasn't got husband or husband is dead. So if the husband's representative is there, so, strictly speaking, she is not widow
- So devotee hasn't got any personal decision. That is the process of Krsna consciousness. Evam parampara-praptam imam rajarsayo viduh

- So long we have got this body, we must suffer. This is the truth. Asann api klesada asa dehah (SB 5.5.4). We are getting different types of bodies, tatha dehantara-praptih (BG 2.13). Each body is for a short period. It will not last forever
- So long we have got this false identification that "I am enjoyer," that is maya. We are not enjoyer. We are enjoyed. That is real philosophy
- So many drunkards priest, they are going to hospital for treatment, and they are eating, and they are getting married man to man, and still they say: "We do not know what we have done." Just see how cheaters they are
- So one who has got this sacred thread, he is called dvijah, twice-born. Twice-born. Once born by the father and mother, and the next birth is given by the spiritual master and Vedic literature
- So our present situation is that the whole civilization is going on under the wrong impression that everyone is the body. That is not a fact. Therefore, this Krsna kirtana, this Hare Krsna movement, it has got a special effect
- So that is my request, that to understand who is a rascal is not very difficult thing. Simply try to know whether he has got any Krsna consciousness, or God consciousness. That will be known
- So the sum and substance is that I have got the opportunity of human form, everyone, and they should not be kept in the same animal consciousness. This is civilization
- So this Kali-yuga, actual intelligent class of men has no honor. A third-class man, fourth-class man, fifth-class man has got honor if he gets some money. That is the system of Kali-yuga
- So this statement, that "God has no name," that is fact, but He has got His name in relationship with His activities with devotees
- So we must be very careful that we have got this human form of body - how to act? The act means first of all you know what is your position. That is the first instruction in the Bhagavad-gita
- So we shall not talk anything of sense gratification. This is controlling the tongue. - I cannot eat anything which is not offered to Krsna.This is controlling the tongue. So these are small techniques, but it has got great, great value
- So we should pray to Bhaktivinoda Thakura that - We are your grandchildren, great-grandchildren, so we have got some right to beg some mercy from you
- So, dasyam sakhyam atma-nivedanam, to offer everything to God - whatever I have got, my body, my money, my... everything

- Tapa means by austerity getting power. Whatever they say that will happen, that is called tapasya

- They (Nepal) have got a sentiment of Hinduism. So with their cooperation, a little foreign exchange, you can establish a stronghold there. It will be a great service
- They (so many boys) have got easy income, and they are not working. And because there is no proper work, they are becoming hippies. They are manufacturing independence. "Idle brain is a devil's workshop." This human psychology is the same everywhere
- They (women) should be respected as goddess of fortune. If one man has got nice wife, actually he has got goddess of fortune. That is astrological calculation
- They are little educated or they have got some wealth or fame or ability, so they will be sometimes little puffed-up, but that is all right, they deserve it
- They are reading Bhagavad-gita, but they do not know how to get liberty. Neither they are interested. They want to stay here, and subjected to the natural . . . material condition, janma-mrtyu-jara-vyadhi
- They become fanatic. Otherwise, why one should be fanatic? If one has got brain, one has got logic, how he should be fanatic? Fanatics means dull-headed rascal, that's all
- They get their food and shelter and everything, even they live with the wife, children. So Krsna gives. Not only that, that we are simply sannyasi, brahmacari

- This business (transmigration of soul) is going on. If we want to stop this business, we have got this opportunity, human form of life. We can understand things if we have got little intelligence
- This child must be executing devotional service in her past life. Therefore, she has got the opportunity, a Vaisnava father and Vaisnavi mother. And from the very beginning of her life she is becoming Krsna conscious

- Under this illusion (that I am this body), when he dies he gets another body. That may be a superior body or inferior body, according to his karma
- Unfortunately, modern education is giving stress on the outward, external body or to the dress and not to... They do not understand who is the person who is dressed or who has got this body
- Unfortunately, people do not understand that what is the wrong in the material existence. They haven't got even the simple knowledge. They think it is all right. They are ignorant

- Unless you accept some institution of making progress in spiritual life, you are animal. Man has got some institution, some social structure, religious structure, political structure. Otherwise, what is the difference between animal

- Vaisnava will always think like that, how people will be happy. Sarve sukhino bhavantu. Vaisnava desire is not exploitation. Vaisnava desire is that - How others will be happy, how they will understand Krsna, how they will get happiness in this life
- Vaisya, he has got also specific duty. What is that? Cow protection and agriculture. That is the duty of vaisya
- Vasudeva replied, "Mukunda got Your association in the beginning. As such, he has taken shelter at Your lotus feet. That is his transcendental rebirth"
- Vasudevah sarvam iti sa mahatma sudurlabhah (BG 7.19). This is wanted. At least, one must know. Why they should be kept in darkness? What is this civilization? They have got light. The knowledge is there. They can be educated
- Vedas means the knowledge given by the liberated person, by God. So if you accept it, then you get the knowledge immediately. You haven't got to make research or philosophical speculation. That process is deductive process. That process is very nice

- Where is the evidence that a chunk explodes automatically? How nonsense theory it is. We haven't got experience. There is explosion of big, big mountains when there is dynamite, and the dynamite is given by some person
- Where is your experience that all of a sudden a chunk dropped and there was creation? We have got experience that creation is there. Mother is there, and a child is coming. This is the creation
- Wherefrom you got this ingredient, rascal, that you are claiming this skyscraper yours? This is intelligent question. You have stolen the property of God, and you are claiming that it is your property. This is knowledge
- Whoever got to see Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu would feel himself overwhelmed with ecstatic love and would begin to chant the Hare Krsna mantra
- Whole sastra, whole Vedic literature is meant for, to awaken you to your sat position, eternal position. Now we are in temporary position with this body, on account of getting this material body. Everything here temporary
- Whole Vedic sastra is called sruti. It is a process of hearing. This is the disease of old age. These are the warnings that the body is getting rotten

- Widow means one who hasn't got husband or husband is dead. So if the husband's representative is there, strictly speaking, she is not widow
- Wife should get enlightenment from the husband, and she should give service. The husband is well situated; she is not discomforted, always looking to the comfort of the husband. And it is the duty of the husband to enlighten the wife always
- Within this material world, everything is nonpermanent, temporary. Anything you take, it has got its creation, it stays for some time, it produces some by-products, then it grows, and then it dwindles, and then it vanishes
- Without husband, woman is very, very unhappy. Therefore according to Vedic system the father has got a very responsible duty to get the daughter married. It is a responsibility of the father

- You (human being) are ordained to eat fruits, flowers, nice grain, milk preparation, but you, because you are dog, you are eating meat. The extra intelligence that.. Because you have got extra intelligence, you should utilize the food for you
- You are all young men; you have got so many desires, naturally, especially in the Western countries. But you have voluntarily given up not to go to the restaurant, not to go to the club or theater or cinema. These are good qualifications
- You are blind by material advancement, and India has got spiritual advancement, but for want of money they cannot Move. So you take this lame man, you blind, on your shoulder, and cooperation will be good for the whole world
- You are brought up in a different standard in Europe and America, and in India it may be difficult because you haven't got all the facilities. But you learn tolerance. Execute Krsna consciousness. That should be our business
- You are getting a wife who is already trained up in Krishna Consciousness and if you live carefully and faithfully there will be no difficulty. That is the verdict of all Acaryas. I think this will simplify your agitated mind
- You are going somewhere, purchasing the plane ticket. Do you ask, "How many tickets you have sold?" Huh? What is the use of? You just purchase your ticket and get on the airplane and go. Don't waste your valuable time in that way
- You are man, you are stronger; therefore weaker animal - cows and goats - you slaughter them. They are stronger bodily, but they have no intelligence. So man has got intelligence. So if you misuse your intelligence in that way, you can do that
- You are not cats and dogs. You have got the opportunity to understand God, Krsna
- You can maintain a dog like this, and a dog can become fatty like this, - oh, it is very scientific matter. You see? So they are called grhamedhis. So they have got many subject matter to hear, but they are not agreeable to hear only one thing - about God
- You can take anyone as you authority, as authority, but according to Bhagavata there are twelve authorities. That is also mentioned. They are authorized persons from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and they have got disciplic succession
- You don't select a spiritual master who has got a very good hair or beard or some very beautiful feature, "Oh, he is a very good, nice looking." No. You must hear
- You get another body (after our death). Just as when you change your apartment: you fix up your new apartment first; then you leave this one and go there
- You get gur, you get this . . . fry this oats or corns, and mix with gur and little milk - it will be very good for breakfast, very nutritious. In this way grow your food, and eat nicely, keep your health nicely
- You have already got experience of this body. It is full of miseries, adhyatmika, adhi . . . adhibhautika, three kinds of miserable condition of life. Beyond that, there is ultimate miseries: janma-mrtyu-jara-vyadhi-duhkha-dosanudarsanam
- You have got now the golden opportunity of this human form of life, and it is not accident that you have got your spiritual master, so take advantage by following always in his footsteps and very quickly you will attain the supreme perfection of your life
- You have got some bodily occupation, some mental occupation, some intellectual occupation, but you have to give up all these things. Simply surrender unto Me (Krsna). This is your real occupation
- You have got the facility, the human form of body. Now you can make your choice, whether you are going to be dog or whether you are going to be god. Both
- You have got this human form of body. Now you get up and get out of these clutches of cycle of birth and death

- You have not got to stop your sensual activities, but now you are serving the senses by the dictation of the senses. Now, while you will serve the master of the senses, then your perfection will come

- You may think that you have become liberated, you have got the position of Narayana... That is all false thinking, avisuddha-buddhayah
- You must try for a place where you get eternal life, eternal bliss, eternal knowledge. That is perfection
- You should sacrifice the major portion of your income to the Supreme. If the government has got right to exact income tax from you, has not Krsna the right to exact income tax?
- You sit down on the back of the ass and just take a morsel of grass. The ass is thinking, "Let me go forward a little, and I shall get the grass." But it is always one foot distant. That is ass-ism
- You want to serve Krishna with all your energies and intelligence, so I have got all support and approval of this scheme, but until you have got some income, how can I advise you to give up your present job, especially when you are a family man
- You were a child; that body is finished. So you have got a different body. But this simple truth they do not understand; that is their folly. If the body is finished, then why you were a child, you have become a young man?
- You work little, get your food grains produced, and you can sumptuously eat. But it doesn't require a scientific slaughterhouse for bringing big, big cows and live in the city at the cost of the life of the poor animals. This is misuse of intelligence
- Your attempt to construct a temple from donation of life members is welcome. Also your plan to get large tax returns. Now do it cooperatively. You are intelligent and experienced - all work together there for the glory of Caitanya's sankirtana movement
