- Every man is duty-bound not only to his parents, family members, society, country, humanity, other living beings, the demigods, etc., but also to the great philosophers, poets, scientists, etc
- Every member of society was given a chance to retire for a higher order of spiritual culture, and the householders neglected no one
- Every state and every society is busy trying to improve the quality of eating, sleeping, mating and defending. This human form of life is meant for more than these four animal principles
- Everyone engages in some sort of service. If one does not know one's constitutional position, one engages in the service of his personal gross body or his family, society or country
- Everyone has knowledge of huge empires throughout the history of the world but all the societies engaged in such economic development (sarve 'rtha-kamah) have been frustrated by the laws of nature through periodic wars, pestilence, famine and so on

- Everyone is giving service. Somebody is giving service to a country, to his society, to his wife, the children. And if he has nothing to serve, then he keeps a pet dog and gives it service
- Everyone is now contaminated by various designations in relation to the body. Everyone is thinking, I belong to such-and-such country; I belong to a certain society; I belong to a certain family
- Everyone is rascal, demons, rogue, everything. There is no ideal character. All politician, scientist, leader they are all drunkards and woman-hunters. So what they can lead? There is no ideal man in the society

- Happiness derived from society, friendship and love is like a drop of water in the scorching heat of the desert. One may want to become very great and powerful in society, but this is like attempting to climb a hill full of thorns
- He (a devotee) doesn't need to practice separately in this matter or to join any society for vegetarians. He is automatically a vegetarian
- He (a disciple) wants to do everything for the Society. In this way he develops love of Krsna. And in the final stage he loves only Krsna and nobody else. And because Krsna includes everyone, that means he loves everyone

- He (Caitanya) stated that any man, whatever he may be, whether a brahmana or sudra by birth, or a householder or mendicant in the order of society, if he is conversant with the science of Krsna, he can be accepted as an acarya or guru, a spiritual master
- He (Gadadhara dasa) preached the sankirtana movement by requesting everyone to chant the Hare Krsna maha-mantra. This simple preaching method of Srila Gadadhara dasa can be followed by anyone and everyone in any position of society

- In Kali-yuga, if this Vedic (Hare Krsna) maha-mantra is chanted regularly and heard regularly by the devotional process of sravanam kirtanam (SB 7.5.23), it will purify all societies, and thus humanity will be happy both materially and spiritually

- In our Krsna consciousness movement, anyone who is coming, even though coming from the LSD-addicted society, still, as soon as he comes to our society he gives up not only LSD or any intoxication, he gives up even drinking tea, coffee
- In our materialistic way of life, which is just like a desert, we are hankering after an ocean of happiness, but in the form of society, friends and mundane love we are getting no more than a drop of water
- In our society we want to establish divine society. Therefore there is need of all classes of men and all classes of social orders. Our Vedic conception is varnasrama-dharma

- Of course Caitanya Mahaprabhu, being the Supreme Personality of Godhead, knew all things, but at that moment He had assumed the role of an ordinary person in order to instruct an illiterate, ignorant society
- Of course it is not possible for everyone to become Krsna conscious, but the Krsna consciousness movement can create an exemplary society wherein there is no envy
- Offering obeisances to the higher sections of society, being always very clean, being free from duplicity, serving one's master, performing sacrifices without uttering mantras - these are the symptoms of the sudra

- One should conduct his social, political and religious affairs according to His instructions. We are spreading the Krsna consciousness movement to try to establish a society the way that Krsna wants it. This is the meaning of Krsna consciousness
- One should not be overly engaged in welfare activities for one's family members, countrymen, society and community. None of these will help a person to advance spiritually
- One should remain satisfied with one woman, being duly married. One can satisfy one's lusty desires with his wife without creating disturbances in society and being punished for doing so

- One who associates with pure devotees or an elevated devotional society goes to the next stage - bhajana-kriya, or acceptance of the regulative principles of worshiping the Supreme Lord
- One who defends or protects from injury, that person also should be there in the society, ksatriya. So on this basis the society must be divided. But at the present moment, because everything is lost

- The divisions of brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya and sudra are natural divisions within society. Indeed, everyone has a prescribed duty according to the varnasrama-dharma

- The tiger is very powerful; he can kill many other animals. But does that mean he is a very important animal? No, he has no use in society

- They (Brahmanas) will live on the contribution of the society. Because they are giving for free service, so valuable service, knowledge, so they are provided by the ksatriyas and the vaisyas. So they have no anxiety for earning livelihood
- They (foolish men) take sadhus and saints as parasites of society, and almost all of them refuse to hear the words of such sadhus and saints, although they welcome show-bottle sadhus and so-called saints who can satisfy their senses
- They (intellectual persons) are being trained as complete brahmanas, the highest intellectuals, the most purified persons in society. If there is one brahmana in a whole family, then the whole family - the whole society-becomes sanctified

- We are embarassed by establishing artificial relationship with my family, country, and society, and so-called religions. These are all artificial. Real relationship, that "God is great and I am His servant," that is real religion

- You cannot have any religious principle or institution in the cat society or dog society. Dharmena hinah pasubhih samanam. Therefore when human society becomes devoid of dharma, then it is animal society. It is no longer human society
