- My Guru Maharaja used to say that a man has fallen on the water, and one brave man came. He said that "I shall save this man." And he also jumped in the water and brought his coat and shirt

- A brahmana who desires to achieve happiness by gaining wealth through professional priesthood must certainly have a very low mind. How shall I accept such priesthood?
- A devotee does not think anyone as enemy. Samah sarvesu bhutesu mad-bhaktim labhate param. Samah. He knows that "Nobody can become my enemy unless Krsna desires. So why shall I think of him as my enemy?
- A devotee made the following statement about the queens at Dvaraka: "How shall I describe the glories of the queens of Dvaraka who were personally engaged in the service of the Lord"

- Alas, how shall I take shelter of one more merciful than He who granted the position of mother to a she-demon (Putana) although she was unfaithful and she prepared deadly poison to be sucked from her breast?
- Alas, is it possible that I shall again see this animal protected by the Lord and fearless of tigers and other animals? Shall I again see him wandering in the garden eating soft grass?
- All conditioned souls are mad after these (profit, adoration and distinction) different forms of sex desire, and one shall see for himself how much he has been freed from such material hankerings based primarily on the sex desire
- All of you are my superiors. Therefore although accepting priesthood is sometimes reproachable, I cannot refuse even a small request from you. I agree to be your priest. I shall fulfill your request by dedicating my life and possessions

- Balarama said, "On this very day I shall rid the whole world of any trace of the Kuru dynasty. I shall finish them off immediately"
- Bali said, "My conclusion is that when I have taken shelter of Your (Krsna's) lotus feet I shall never be disturbed in any condition of life"
- Because I am so fallen, I shall never get a chance to see the Supreme Personality of Godhead.This was my false apprehension. Rather, by chance a person as fallen as I am may get to see the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Because I am the lowest among men, I shall not be able to see You. How shall I maintain my sinful life

- Bhakti-yoga means buddhi-yoga, one who is highly intelligent. Or somehow or other he has become intelligent that, "I shall take to Krsna consciousness." Then his life is perfect immediately, and gradually he will realize Krsna
- Brahma said, "I shall therefore consider myself fortunate to be given a chance to take birth in this land of Vrndavana in any of my future lives. My dear Lord, I am therefore not interested in either material opulences or liberation"

- Certainly We have stolen the charge of the inhabitants of Rasatala and have lost all shame. Although bitten by your powerful mace, I shall stay here in the water for some time because, having created enmity with a powerful enemy, I now have no place to go
- Chant Hare Krsna and you become perfect. But we are so unfortunate, we are not even prepared to chant. This is our position. So you have to make little determination that "I shall chant henceforward Hare Krsna mantra"
- Cinta will go on; you cannot stop it. Mind you cannot stop thinking even for a moment, either you shall think of this material life or you shall think of Krsna. So Krsna consciousness means instead of thinking of this material life, you think of Krsna

- Damah means senses, controlling the senses. My tongue is dried up, asking for a cigarette. Now, if I am brahmana, then I shall say, "No, you cannot smoke." That is damah

- Dear daughter, don't be worried because Radharani is belching. I am about to offer a remedial measure for this symptom. This belching is not due to indigestion; it is a sign of ecstatic love for Krsna. I shall arrange to cure this belching symptom
- Dear King (Prthu), Indra's powers are already reduced due to his attempt to impede the execution of your sacrifice. We (the priests) shall call him by Vedic mantras which were never before used, and certainly he will come

- Elephant is taking hundred pounds daily, twice. Once at a time he takes hundred pounds or more than that. And the ant takes only one grain. Now if the ant thinks that "I shall also take hundred pounds," oh, it is impossible for him. It is impossible

- Fallen women or professional prostitutes, ignorant manual laborers, and the merchant class - all shall attain perfection and reach the Kingdom of God, if they actually take shelter of the devotional service of the Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna
- First class means ahaituki, without any cause. Not that "I shall go to church, I shall go to mosque, I shall go to temple for asking something from God." That is not first class. That is good in this sense, that these rascals have at least come to pray

- First of all you must satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Narayana, and then, when you are favored by Him because of such worship, you shall have to take your next birth from my womb
- First of all, you must have faith that, "In this life I shall understand thoroughly about God."Then associate with persons who are busy with God's business.Then you act as they are acting.Then your misconception of material life will be finished
- First they (envious persons) try to occupy high positions in this material world, & when they are frustrated in this attempt, they think, "Now I shall occupy the position of God." Of course this desire is also frustrated because no 1 can become God
- First you hear it, and if it is acceptable to your mind, I shall request Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to hear it
- Foolish people may think that, "I shall live forever," but that is foolishness. Life is very transient. At any moment we can die
- For some time now it has been my desire that our students in India shall have the advantage of one or two trucks or vans for spreading this Krsna consciousness movement there
- For the time being, let me (Vasudeva) promise to hand over my sons so that Kamsa will give up this immediate threat, and if in due course of time Kamsa dies, I shall have nothing to fear - SB 10.1.49-50
- For this disobedience I (Rahugana) shall now punish you (Jada Bharata) just as Yamaraja, the superintendent of death, punishes sinful people. I shall give you proper treatment so that you will come to your senses and do the correct thing

- Gigantic demon asked with folded hands, "What shall I do, my lord?" Lord Siva, who is known as Bhutanatha, directly ordered, "Because you are born from my body, you are the chief of all my associates. Kill Daksa and his soldiers at the sacrifice."
- Go personally to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and keep Him at Jagannatha Puri with great attention. I shall excuse Gopinatha Pattanayaka from all his debts
- God has made you or given you little independence. That independence does not mean that you shall misuse it. You shall use it properly. And what is that proper use? To be engaged in His loving service
- God is always beside us, present in our hearts. When we leave the body, God also goes with us, and when we take on another body, He goes with us there just to see what we are doing. When shall we turn our face towards Him? He is always waiting
- God is giving me bread. I shall eat. That's all - I am meant for eating only? And why not offering? God will not eat. Simply you feel gratitude - Oh, God has given me this bread. Let me offer it to God first of all. Then I take
- God is so kind. Whatever you desire, you will get. Therefore it is depending upon our discretion, that "What kind of desire I shall maintain?"
- Gopal Banh said: "You can pass stool, but you cannot pass urine. If you pass urine, then I shall kill you." Passing stool without passing urine, how it is possible? "So you have come to pass stool. That you can do here, but don't pass urine"
- Gopala Cakravarti said, "If one is not liberated by namabhasa, then you may be certain that I shall cut off your nose"
- Gopinatha Pattanayaka replied, 'There is no money I can immediately give you in cash. Please give me time. Gradually I shall purchase and sell my gross goods and in this way fill your treasury'
- Gopis said, "Now we request You, dear Krsna, to extinguish that fire with Your beautiful smile and the transcendental vibration emanating from Your lips. If You do not agree to do us this favor, we shall certainly be burned in the fire of separation"
- Govinda replied, "I shall never be able to repay My debt to you. Lord Jagannatha has saved You. I am insignificant"
- Govinda said, "Please rise and take your maha-prasadam". Haridasa Thakura replied, "Today I shall observe fasting"

- Halfway along the path, Raghunatha dasa submitted at the lotus feet of his spiritual master, I shall go to the home of that brahmana, induce him to return, and send him to your home
- Hare Krsna mantra means you become free from all sinful reaction of life. But if you think that, "I have got an instrument, chanting Hare Krsna mantra, so let me commit all sinful activities, and I shall chant Hare Krsna, it will be nullified," no
- Haridasa Thakura informed her "Today it will be possible for me to finish my chanting. Then I shall satisfy all your desires"
- Haridasa Thakura replied, "I shall accept you without fail, but you will have to wait until I have finished chanting my regular rounds on my beads. Until that time, please sit and listen to the chanting of the holy name"
- Haridasa Thakura said, "I am the most sinful and lowest among men. Later I shall eat one palmful of prasadam while waiting outside"
- Hariscandra begged Varuna, "My lord, if a son is born to me, with that son I shall perform a sacrifice for your satisfaction." When Hariscandra said this, Varuna replied, "Let it be so"
- Having first given hints about the verse describing the principal reason why the Lord appeared, now I shall manifest its full meaning
- Having offered obeisances unto the Lord and all His associates, I shall now try to explain these six diversities in one
- He (a pure devotee) says - Wherever Krsna will keep me, I shall remain there. It doesn't matter whether heaven or hell. I don't care for it
- He (a thief) saw Krsna the same way as he was informed by the Bhagavata reader. Then he saw, "Oh, oh, you are so nice boy, Krsna." So he began to flatter. He thought that "Flattering, I shall take all the jewels"
- He (Arjuna) was thinking in terms of his own benefit, "Whether I shall go to hell or heaven." That was his contemplation. Therefore he was taught Bhagavad-gita
- He (son of the elderly brahmana) was saying (to his father) - If you make the background like that (not lying directly but like a diplomat), I shall know how to fill in the argument and defeat him (the young brahmana) by word jugglery
- He has not given millions of eyes to see the beauty of Krsna. He has given only two eyes, and even those eyes blink. How then shall I see the lovely face of Krsna?
- He has obstructed the universal breathing process. You can safely return to your respective homes. I shall stop this boy in his severe acts of austerities, and you will be saved from this situation
- He is not making any eternal arrangement - I shall live here for fifty years or sixty years as an American or as an Indian. Make me gorgeous arrangement, defense and so on, so on, so on
- He thinks, oh, that "I shall live forever. Therefore let me do whatever I like. There is no question of responsibility." Oh, this is very risky life. And this is the most covering part of illusion
- He was very submissive and meek, and immediately after his birth he bowed down and inquired, "Sirs, what shall I do?" The great sages replied, "Please sit down (nisida)." Thus Nisada, the father of the Naisada race, was born
- Hearing these proposals made by other devotees of the Lord, mother Saci said to the devotees, "How many times shall I get the chance to see Nimai again"
- Hearing this, Lord Nityananda Prabhu said, "You are a thief. Now you have come to see Me. Come here, come here. Today I shall punish you"
- Hearing this, Nrsimhananda Brahmacari replied, "Please be satisfied. I assure you that I shall bring Him here three days from now"
- Henceforward I am not sanctioning any more marriages, and those who want to marry must know in advance and be prepared to make outside income to support wife and home separately from the temple, and in the temple husband and wife shall live separately
- Henceforward I shall certainly develop devotional service unto Your lotus feet. For this reason I have come to You and have fallen down at Your lotus feet
- Her (Gandhari's) eldest son, Duryodhana, was advised to see the mother naked. She advised, "My dear son, tomorrow morning when you come to offer your obeisances to me, you come naked. I shall see you and you will be solidified just like iron"
- Here (in SB 3.25.14) we find that although Kapila Muni is the Lord Himself and is capable of manufacturing a new doctrine for His mother, He nevertheless says, "I shall just explain the ancient system which I once explained to the great sages
- Hiranyakasipu said: O most impudent, most unintelligent disruptor of the family, O lowest of mankind, you have violated my power to rule you, and therefore you are an obstinate fool. Today I shall send you to the place of Yamaraja
- His (Dhruva Maharaja's) real mother advised him, "If God gives you, then you can get. Otherwise it is not possible." So he went to the forest. He inquired from his mother, - Where is God? I shall go there
- His Lordship Siva said to Devi: "In the Kali-yuga, I shall preach the Mayavada philosophy, which is nothing but clouded Buddhism, in the garb of a brahmana"
- His motto should be: "Why shall I wait for next year? Let me pass in this year." Similarly, we should be very serious: "Why we shall wait for the next life? Let us finish this life and go back to Godhead, Krsna, and dance there"
- Hitler wanted that, "I shall again make these English people fisherman's island. They have to take their business to fishing only." That was Hitler's declaration. That has happened
- How I shall enjoy this world - That is the real disease
- How long shall you sleep on the lap of maya? Now you have the opportunity of possessing a human form of body; now try to get up and realize yourself
- How long you shall remain American and Australian? That question does not come to the dull brain, because he does not know that he is eternal. And this is temporary dress. I . . . somehow or other, I wanted this, and prakrti, nature, has given me
- How many names shall I speak to you? All the devotees you see here are associates of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who is their life and soul
- How one can, unless one is spiritually advanced, how he can sacrifice his hard-earned money for Krsna? Everyone thinks, "Oh, I have earned this money working so hard. Why shall I spend it for Krsna? Let me keep it"
- How shall I find real guru? That is very easy. How it is? Caitanya Mahaprabhu gives us direction. He says, "You become a guru." He asked everyone - not only the Indians, but everyone
- How shall I get them (material happiness)?" How? Kalena sarvatra gabhira-ramhasa: By the arrangement of eternal time, everything will come about in due course
- Human being should not be encouraged to satisfy his unsatiated hunger like the giant elephant or the little ant but he should be trained up otherwise which shall provide for his real food

- I (Hiranyakasipu) shall now sever your (Prahlada) head from your body because you are speaking so much nonsense. Now let me see your most worshipable God come to protect you. I want to see it
- I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) have already explained this verse (Padyavali 386). Now I shall simply describe it in brief
- I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) have briefly described the pastimes of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu known as the madhya-lila. Now I shall attempt to describe something about His last pastimes, which are known as the antya-lila
- I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) have here given a brief account of these pastimes of Lord Caitanya, but later I shall describe them in an extensive way

- I am always at your service and whenever you shall call me I shall come to your place and enjoy your good company. Please try to open a center there as soon as possible
- I am American, I am Indian, I am German, I am this, I am that - this body. This is my country. I shall sacrifice everything for my country and society. - So in this way, the illusion increases
- I am eager to be united with you. My mind is greedy for this. If I don't obtain you, I shall not be able to keep my body and soul together
- I am merely an insignificant jiva, so what power do I have to give directions to You? By Your own personal choice You will meet with the King. I shall see it
- I am not the proprietor of this body. Krsna is the proprietor of the body. I wanted a certain type of body to use it for my sense gratification. He has given it and I am not happy. Therefore I shall learn how to use this machine for the proprietor
- I am spirit soul, part and parcel of the Supreme Lord. As soon as the mind is contaminated, I rebel, because I have got little independence. "Why shall I serve Krsna or God? I am God." It is simply a dictation from the mind
- I am the grandson of Maharaja Prahlada. How can I withdraw my promise because of greed for money when I have already said that I shall give this land? How can I behave like an ordinary cheater, especially toward a brahmana?
- I am working as American, I am working as family man, I am working as this, that. These are all designations. When I shall work as eternal servant of Krsna, that is real mukti. That is Krsna consciousness
- I belong to a low caste, and you are a very respectable guest. How shall I serve you
- I can become a demigod, I can become a cat, I can become a dog, I can become Brahma - there are so many forms of life. In the next life I shall have to accept one of these forms, even if I do not want to
- I can see that this boy's strength is unlimited, for he has not feared any of my punishments. He appears immortal. Therefore, because of my enmity toward him, I shall die. Or maybe this will not take place
- I could not go without Your Lordship's permission. Now You must give me permission, and I shall certainly go there
- I do not know the deep meaning of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's activities. As far as possible I shall try to explain them externally
- I do not want such things (animal skins)," Narada replied. However, I do want something else. If you kindly grant it to me, I shall tell you. Please, henceforth from tomorrow, whenever you kill an animal, kill it completely. Don't leave it half-dead

- I shall thus be relieved of my obligations to the reactions of my karma, and my fortune will be to receive the dust from the lotus feet of great devotees like Narada Muni

- Idle brain is devil's workshop. And the devil is kamini-kancana, woman and money. This is devil. So if you remain idle, then you shall think of devil. So we should see that everyone is engaged properly
- If a blind man pretends to help another blind man cross a road, then both the blind leader and the blind follower shall fall into the further darkness of some unseen ditch. Everyone who is devoid of transcendental knowledge is just like a blind man
- If a child is born, I shall educate him in such a way that this birth will be his last. Next he is going to back to home, back to Godhead, - then produce a child. Otherwise don't produce. This is spiritual contraceptive. This is real father and mother
- If anyone does not know how to live hygienically, healthfully, he must fall diseased. That's a fact. Similarly, one must have knowledge what is the value of this life, how I shall live, then he will be not subjected to the sinful activities
- If Gaurahari, Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, will not show mercy to me, I shall give up my kingdom, become a mendicant and beg from door to door
- If He again performs such an atrocious act, certainly we shall retaliate and strike Him in turn. What kind of important person is He, that He can check us in this way?
- If I (Baktivinoda Thakura) think I am a Vaisnava, I shall look forward to receiving respect from others. And if the desire for fame and reputation pollutes my heart, certainly I shall go to hell
- If I (Indra) kill Vrtrasura, another brahmana, how shall I free myself from the sinful reactions?
- If I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) remain longer and am fortunate enough to receive the mercy of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, I shall try to describe them again more elaborately
- If I am eternal, then why I shall remain in this material body which is subjected to death, birth, old age and disease? Therefore Krsna instructs that this miserable condition of life is due to this material body
- If I am great philosopher, scientist - everything - if I do not engage all these qualifications to Krsna's service, then I shall naturally become falsely proud, and that is the cause of my falldown. I will never be able to approach God
- If I am in the mode of passion then I shall remain here in a society where activity is very prominent
- If I can get some place where going I'll have not to die again or not to become old and not to have any diseases, oh, certainly I shall accept it. That is my desire, heart's desire. I want. I want that
- If I earn money, then how to invest it to make it double? Then how to keep it? Which bank I shall keep it so that my money will be safe? How I shall distribute it? So abhadra. Abhadra means the whole procedure is simply abominable
- If I have to gain something supernatural which will give me the ultimate benefit of my life, then why shall I wait for old age?
- If I like, I can prepare my body to go to the abode of Krsna, Goloka Vrndavana. That is the function. Human body is meant for that intelligence, that what kind of body I shall have in my next life?
- If I make a motive that, "I shall render service to the Lord so that I will be very much satisfied . . ." No. No. That, that becomes motivated, that "I will be satisfied," that is the first consideration. There should be no motive at all
- If I want to protect this body with all hygienic principles, soaps and pumice and injection and medicine and so many things, does it mean that you shall live? Can you overcome the laws of nature? No, that is not possible
- If in this battle you cut off my head with your thunderbolt and kill my soldiers, O Indra, O great hero, I (Vrtrasura) shall take great pleasure in offering my body to other living entities (such as jackals and vultures)
- If Nanda Maharaja does not take action, then we (the gopis) shall tell King Kamsa about Your (Krsna) misbehavior
- If one becomes bhakta, then mukti becomes her maidservant. Why shall I ask for mukti? Mukti is nothing. Kaivalyam narakayate. What is the mukti? It is as good as hell. Mukti means to merge into the Brahman effulgence, but there is no service of Krsna
- If one gives up the research work just after making a few steps' advance, oh, that will not help. One has to go on, go on with it with steadiness, that "What is God? I shall see." That is called jnani, jijnasu, philosopher, inquisitive
- If one is determined that "I shall stick to the service of Krsna," maya will not touch. That is kevala bhakti. If sometimes it appears that he has deviated out of past habit, that is excused
- If one is determined that, "I shall only act according to the advice of my Guru Maharaja," then he's perfect. One has to submit like Arjuna said, sisyas te 'ham sadhi mam prapannam (BG 2.7). Otherwise he'll argue
- If one moment is utilized for Krsna consciousness, that makes life successful. Why shall I live for hundred years, waste my time? One moment is sufficient for living
- If one remains unwise, not fully in knowledge, he hesitates, "Oh, why shall I surrender to Krsna? Krsna is as like me; He is also a man. Maybe a powerful man, a very learned man." No. Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- If one simply make melodious kirtana of Rama or Krishna or both combined and they are offered the prasadam of Sri Jagannatha surely they shall imbibe the spiritual tendency inherent in every human
- If somebody comes and drives us out of this room, that does not mean I am finished. I shall go and take shelter of another room. Similarly, when the soul, when the body is killed or annihilated by nature or by force, the soul takes shelter of another body
- If somebody cuts my throat, I become so sorry or so aggrieved. Why shall I cut the throat of other animals? This is civilization. And not that go on killing animals like anything and hunt upon the woman, topless woman, make business
- If somebody says, "Oh, why shall I serve God?" all right, then you shall have to serve dog. That's all. Therefore he is befooled. He does not know that he has to serve somebody. His constitutional position is like that. He cannot escape
- If somebody says, "Why shall I take advantage of this elevator? I shall go step by step," he can go. But there is chance
- If somebody says: "I shall teach you mathematics. Come on, give me some money . . ." So why these rascals are misled? It is a science; it is not sentiment
- If there is any instance of very advanced disciples, married couple, and they have agreed that the husband shall now take sannyasa or renounced order of life, being mutually very happy by that arrangement, then there is ground for such separation

- Kardama Muni said: I shall accept this chaste girl (Devahuti) as my wife, on the condition that after she bears semen from my body, I shall accept the life of devotional service accepted by the most perfect human beings
- Karmi is working so hard, day and night; he is expecting that "I shall get some money out of it and I shall enjoy." And sannyasi, he is working in the same way, day and night, but he is not expecting the profit for his personal use. For Krsna
- Kasyapa Muni concluded, "I shall train her (Diti) in such a way that instead of always thinking of how to kill Indra, she will become a Vaisnava, a devotee of Krsna"

- Mother Yasoda rebuked Krsna, saying - Now I shall bind You so that You cannot commit any further offensive activities. Nor for the time being can You play with Your playmates
- Mukunda Datta then asked the Lord, "Shall I bring him here?" Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, "Brahmananda Bharati is like My spiritual master. It is better that I go to him"
- My (Brahma's) dear son (Rudra), you had better situate yourself in penance, which is auspicious for all living entities and which will bring all benediction upon you. By penance only shall you be able to create the universe as it was before

- Nanda and Sunanda, the two confidential associates of Lord Visnu, said: Dear King, let there be all good fortune unto you. Please attentively hear what we shall say
- Nanda Maharaja is so great that the Parabrahman is crawling in his yard, and therefore I (Brahma) shall worship him - Padyavali 126

- Narada instructed the hunter: As far as your livelihood is concerned, I shall send you grains, but you will only accept as much grain as you require for yourself and your wife
- Narada Muni assured the hunter, 'If you listen to my instructions, I shall find the way you can be liberated'
- Narada Muni continued, 'Every day I shall send sufficient food to you both. You can take as much food as you want'
- Narada Muni continued, ‘Every day I shall send sufficient food to you both (the brahmana and his wife). You can take as much food as you want'
- Narada Muni continued: Now I shall describe the places where religious performances may be well executed. Any place where a Vaisnava is available is an excellent place for all auspicious activities
- Narada Muni said, "I shall also see how You (Krsna) save King Nrga from a hellish condition. This You shall enact in Dvaraka. I shall also be able to see how You get Your wife and the Syamantaka jewel"
- Narada Muni said, "I shall also see how You (Krsna) save the son of a brahmana from death after he has already been transferred to another planet. After this, I will be able to see You kill the Paundraka demon and burn to ashes the kingdom of Kasi"
- Narada Muni said, "My dear Lord (Krsna), I am therefore sure that the day after tomorrow I shall see demons like Canura, Mustika and the other wrestlers and elephants, as well as Kamsa himself, killed by You. I shall see this with my own eyes"
- Narada Muni said: If you actually want to follow my directions, I can tell you the real path by which you can be freed from sinful reactions. I shall follow whatever you say without hesitation, the hunter agreed
- Narada spoke as follows: "Because the Pandavas are Your cousins, You have inquired about them in the role of their well-wisher, and therefore I shall let You know about their intentions. Now please hear me"
- Narottama dasa sings: When will Lord Nityananda have mercy upon me, and when will all my desires for material enjoyment become insignificant? When shall I be purified by giving up all contaminations of material enjoyment?
- Narottama dasa Thakura says: When shall I develop a mentality of service toward Sri Rupa Gosvami, Sanatana Gosvami, Raghunatha dasa Gosvami and the other devotees of Lord Caitanya and thus become eligible to understand the pastimes of Sri Radha & Krsna?
- Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be. BG 2.12 - 1972
- Nityananda Prabhu wanted to show an example that "I shall deliver these two brothers. Never mind they are so fallen." That is called krpa-siddha. So we should always remember there are three categories: nitya-siddha, sadhana-siddha and krpa-siddha
- No one in the material world is perfect, and an imperfect person could not describe this material universe accurately, even after continued speculation. O King Pariksit, I (Sukadeva Gosvami) shall nevertheless try to explain
- Nobody should approach a bona fide spiritual master just to argue with him and just to, with a desire that "I shall see what kind of spiritual master." No. This is useless
- Not any other nonsense talks, gossiping. Simply hear and chant. Then srnvatam sva-kathah krsna. If you seriously hear and chant, seriously - "Yes, this life I shall engage only for increasing my love of Vasudeva" - if you are determined, it can be done

- One in the preliminary stage must find out always some duty, "What is there to work now for Krsna consciousness?" Karma karanam ucyate. They should not remain idle for a second. Always find out some duty. That is meditation. "How I shall work for Krsna?"

- Padma Purana estimates the species of life to be 8,400,000, & the living entity is rotating or wandering through these species & creating bodies according to his mentality in his present life. "As you sow, so shall you reap," is the law that governs here
- Pariksit Maharaja was cursed by a Brahmin boy that "Maharaja, you shall die within seven days, bitten by a snake." So immediately, because he was emperor, so he understood that, "I shall have to die." So he prepared himself

- Priyavrata was the grandson of Brahma. According to social etiquette his position was inferior. It is the duty of the inferior to carry out the order of the superior with great respect. Priyavrata immediately said, "Yes, sir. I shall carry out your order
- Prthu prayed, "I shall simply always pray unto Your Lordship that You may give me millions of tongues and millions of ears so that I can constantly chant and hear of Your transcendental glories"
- Prthu prayed, "If I have no chance for this honey of transcendental bliss, then I shall never ask for liberation or this so-called spiritual emancipation"
- Pulling the boat, with you and all the rsis in it, O King, I shall travel in the water of devastation until the night of Lord Brahma's slumber is over

- Regardless of caste, creed, or color, everyone must adopt the process of karma-yoga, or work with transcendental results. And by so doing, everyone shall help to spiritualize all the activities of the world
- Remain here peacefully and look at the cakra on the top of the temple and offer obeisances. As far as your prasadam is concerned, I shall arrange to have that sent here
- Rukmi continued, "You (Krsna) have stolen my sister (Rukmini); now I shall relieve You of Your false prestige. You can keep my sister in Your possession only until I beat You to the ground for good with my arrows"
- Rukmi said, "This cowherd boy (Krsna) has become proud of His tricky way of fighting with ksatriyas, today I shall teach Him a good lesson. Because He had the impudence to kidnap my sister, I, with my sharp arrows, shall teach Him good lessons indeed"

- Sacimata submitted, "As far as you are concerned, you can meet Nimai (Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu) many times somewhere else, but what is the possibility of my ever meeting Him again? I shall have to remain at home. A sannyasi never returns to his home"
- Sahadeva said, "Just as by watering the root of a tree one automatically waters the branches, twigs, leaves and flowers, so by offering the first worship to Krsna we shall satisfy everyone present in this meeting, including the great demigods"
- Saibya said, "I am sterile and have no co-wife. How can this girl be my daughter-in-law? Please tell me." Jyamagha replied, "My dear Queen, I shall see that you indeed have a son and that this girl will be your daughter-in-law"
- Sanatana Gosvami replied, "You (Jagadananda Pandita) have given me very good advice. I shall certainly go there, for that is the place the Lord has given me for my residence"
- Sanatana replied, "I shall practice the process of madhukari. Why should I accept full meals in the house of a brahmana"
- Sannyasa means that, that "I shall live with the minimum necessities of life and simply devote..." That is sannyasa. "I shall become a sannyasi and enjoy all material facilities" - that is not sannyasa
- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya continued, "I shall submit your petition when there is an opportune moment. It will then be easy for you to come and meet the Lord"
- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya said, "Please go, my Lord, to see Lord Jagannatha. After taking my bath, I shall go there and then return"
- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya then said, "We shall go once again to the Lord, but we shall not request Him to meet the King. Rather, we shall simply describe the good behavior of the King"
- Savitri was attached to Satyavan, so her father, mother said that "You don't marry this boy. He'll die on the very day of his marriage." So love is blind. She said, "Still I shall marry him"
- Seeing His own beauty, Lord Krsna began to consider: He (Brahma) has not given millions of eyes to see the beauty of Krsna. He has given only two eyes, and even those eyes blink. How then shall I see the lovely face of Krsna?
- Seva means service. You cannot challenge. You approach such person whose instruction you shall receive. You can inquire submissively, but you cannot challenge. That is not allowed in Vedic system
- She may work at her husband's home very nicely, her mind will be attached to her paramour, and she will think, - When shall I meet him tonight
- Simha means lion. If the lion thinks that "I am so powerful animal, king of the forest. Why shall I work?" Therefore, it is said that if he does not work, then he'll have to starve. Even though he's a lion

- Since these two persons (Nalakuvara and Manigriva) have been blinded by the pride of celestial opulence and have become attached to women, I (Narada Muni) shall relieve them of their false prestige
- Since these two persons (Nalakuvara and Manigriva), drunk with the liquor named Varuni, or Madhvi, and unable to control their senses I (Narada Muni) shall relieve them of their false prestige - SB 10.10.19
- Since you have desired to increase the population innumerably and expand your varieties of service, you shall never be deprived in this matter because My causeless mercy upon you will always increase for all time
- Sinful activities means that you promised, "I shall follow the regulative principles." If you do not follow, that is sinful. That is the promise. Very simple. You break the promise and do nasty things; therefore you are sinful
- Sisya means voluntarily accepting the ruling. Everyone is free. If I give you some ruling, why should you accept it? Therefore this formal initiation ceremony is performed. He promises - My dear sir, I shall abide by your order

- So karisye vacanam tava: "Now I shall act as You desire." This is perfection of life. Whenever we decide that "Now we shall act as Krsna says," then our life is perfect. Vasudeva-uktah karinah
- So long you shall remain within this material world, you have to accept these four principles of material condition, that you'll have to die
- So where is the protection? Even if there is nice state, even if there is nice family, even if there is nice, good wife and children, everything, but they cannot give me protection. When I shall die, nobody can give protection
- Some authorities say that there is a total of twenty-one hellish planets, and some say twenty-eight. My dear King (Pariksit), I (Sukadeva Gosvami) shall outline all of them according to their names, forms and symptoms

- Somebody is living in a poor slum and another man is living in a very palatial building. So simply by endeavoring that "I shall live in a palatial building, and I shall not live in this poor slumhole," it is not possible because the destiny is there
- Someone may ask, "Then shall we do nothing?" Yes do nothing simply to improve your material position. Whatever material happiness is allotted for you by destiny, you'll get it wherever you are
- Sometimes mother thinks: "The child will be grown up. He will be big man. He will earn money, and I shall get it." There is still some feelings of exchange. But while loving Krsna, there is no such feeling of exchange. That is called unalloyed love

- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu requested Haridasa Thakura, "Remain here and chant the Hare Krsna maha-mantra. I shall personally come here to meet you daily"
- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, "'Alas, what shall I do? To whom shall I speak? Let whatever I have done in hopes of meeting Krsna be finished now. Please say something auspicious, but do not speak about Krsna'"

- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu used to express His mind in this way: "Where is the Lord of My life, who is playing His flute? What shall I do now? Where should I go to find the son of Maharaja Nanda"
- Sri Gopalaji then smiled and said, "My dear brahmana, just listen to Me. I shall walk behind you, and in this way I shall go with you"
- Sri Manu said: O all-powerful lord, O killer of all sins, I shall abide by your order. Now please let me know my place and that of the living entities born of me
- Sri Nityananda Gosvami told him, "I shall take Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to the bank of the Ganges at Santipura, and Advaita Acarya should carefully stay there on shore with a boat"
- Sri Ramananda Raya continued, "What shall I do? My mind has brought me here. I could not consider going first to Lord Jagannatha's temple"
- Sri Rupa Gosvami told the two men, "You are to return quickly and let me know when He will depart. Then I shall make the proper arrangements"
- Sri Sukadeva Gosvami said: Hearing this, the great sages replied to King Indra, "O King of heaven, all good fortune unto you. Do not fear. We shall perform an asvamedha sacrifice to release you from any sin you may accrue by killing the brahmana"

- Srila Narottama dasa Thakura sings, When shall I become very eager to study the books left by the six Gosvamis? Then I shall be able to understand the conjugal pastimes of Radha and Krsna
- Srila Sivananda Sena experienced the three features of saksat, avesa and avirbhava. Later I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) shall vividly describe this transcendentally blissful subject
- Srila Vrndavana dasa Thakura has vividly described the pastimes of Haridasa Thakura in his Caitanya-bhagavata. Whatever has remained undescribed I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) shall try to explain later in this book
- Srila Yamunacarya has recited in his Stotra-ratna: By serving You constantly, one is freed from all material desires and is completely pacified. When shall I engage as Your permanent eternal servant and always feel joyful to have such a fitting master?
- Srimati Radharani in distress spoke thus, "Oh, what shall I say of My distress? After I met Krsna My loving propensities sprouted, but upon separating from Him I sustained a great shock, which is now continuing like the sufferings of a disease"

- Sukadeva Gosvami continued to speak to Pariksit Maharaja. "My dear King," he said, "in this regard I shall narrate a nice story. This story is important because it is in connection with Narayana, the Supreme Personality of Godhead"
- Sukadeva Gosvami continued: My dear King (Pariksit), Lord Nrsimhadeva resides in the tract of land known as Hari-varsa. In the Seventh Canto of SB, I shall describe to you how Prahlada Maharaja caused the Lord to assume the form of Nrsimhadeva
- Sukadeva Gosvami continued: My dear King, how shall I glorify the character of Bali Maharaja? The SPG, the master of the three worlds, who is most compassionate to His own devotee, stands with club in hand at Bali Maharaja's door
- Sukadeva Gosvami continued: O King, subduer of your enemies, now hear from me in great detail about the dynasty of Manu. I shall explain as much as possible, although one could not say everything about it, even in hundreds of years

- Tactfully they did not give us the conveyance. So now they have given neither conveyance or returned our money, but the deal is completed. So when they shall give the conveyance, then we shall pay the balance
- Take hand's business, take leg's business, and combine them cooperatively. Then the body will be nice. If the leg says "Why hand will type? I shall type," that's not possible. "Legs, all right, you walk, and hands that you type." Then combine together
- Taking this opportunity, the elderly brahmana immediately confirmed that this was really true. He said, "If Gopala personally comes here to serve as a witness, I shall surely give my daughter to the young brahmana"
- Tapana Misra then said, "Sanatana has some duty to perform; therefore he cannot accept lunch now. At the conclusion of the meal, I shall supply Sanatana with some remnants"
- That "kovida" we shall give. "Puja-kovida", "Pracara-kovida"

- The lower animals than the human being, they have no economic problem. They are freely living. In the morning they do not care where they shall eat. But there is eating

- The material life means the basic principle is lusty desire. Everyone is working so hard because the basic principle is lusty desire. "I shall enjoy like this. My wife shall enjoy. My children shall enjoy. My grandchildren shall enjoy"
- The motto of preaching shall always be aimed at the ultimate goal of life. The ultimate goal of life is to re-establish our lost relation with Godhead who is the Absolute Whole, and we all living entities are His parts & parcels
- The Muslim caudhuri told Raghunatha dasa, "You are my son from this day on. Today, by some means, I shall have you released"
- The next time I see someone performing such sankirtana, I shall certainly chastise him by not only confiscating all his property but also converting him into a Muslim

- Then the younger brahmana addressed the Deity, saying, "My dear Lord, You are my witness. I shall call for You to testify if it is necessary later on"
- There are four Vaisnava sampradayas, and the Rudra-sampradaya is one of them because Lord Siva (Rudra) is the best of the Vaisnavas (vaisnavanam yatha sambhuh). Indeed, as we shall see, Lord Siva drank all the poison for the benefit of humanity
- There are so many good qualifications of a dog. So therefore Bhaktivinoda Thakura says, vaisnava thakura tomara kukkura bhuliya janaha more - Kindly accept me as your dog. I shall serve you faithfully
- There are some persons who think, "Oh, why shall I hear from him? Oh, I can think. I can speculate. I can manufacture something new of my own group." These are nonsense. This is not Vedic process

- There is another statement as follows, "When shall I be freed from the mode of ignorance? And being thus purified, when shall I attain the stage of serving Krsna eternally"
- There is no restriction that papa-yoni shall remain always papa-yoni. Why? They should be given enlightenment. That is Brahmin-ism. Brahmin means liberal, and just the opposite word of Brahmin is krpana, miser
- There is the following statement by a gopi, "My dear Krsna, the first thing You should do is just embrace me with Your strong arms. Then, my dear friend, I shall first smell Your head, and then I shall enjoy with You"
- Therefore after offering obeisances to the devotees, for their satisfaction I shall speak without hesitating
- Therefore I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) shall first delineate the position of Radha and Krsna. From that description the glory of Lord Caitanya will be known
- Therefore I shall enumerate the chapters of the Adi-lila. In the First Chapter I offer obeisances to the spiritual master, for this is the beginning of auspicious writing
- Therefore I shall explain the reasons why people should have faith. Everyone who hears this will be faithful
- Therefore I shall mention them, revealing only their essence, so that loving devotees will understand them but fools will not

- They (the rascals) think that to surrender to Krsna, this is slave mentality. "I shall remain free." But where is your freedom, sir? That is illusion
- They give example, "Others are eating vegetable. That is also killing." Yes, that is also killing. But I have already explained, that because one living entity is foodstuff for another living entity, that does not mean you shall eat your family members

- They prayed: O creator of the universe, we are glad; what you have produced is well done. Since ritualistic acts have now been established soundly in this human form, we shall all share the sacrificial oblations
- They shall, of course, still be considered as my disciples, not that they shall become your disciples, but you will be empowered by me to chant their beads and that is the same effect of binding master and disciple as if I were personally chanting
- They sometimes appeared to fight over trifles, but these quarrels were based on their affection, of which I shall speak later
- This attachment strongly affects all conditioned living entities. Lord Krsna is personally canvassing, "Give up everything in this material world. Come to Me, and I shall give you all protection," but we are not agreeable

- This is the injunction of the Vedas, that "If you want real knowledge, you must go to guru." "Now, there are so many gurus. So whom shall I . . .? Where shall I go?" No. You shall go to a guru - samit-panih srotriyam brahma-nistham
- This is Vaisnava: "So for all their sins, I shall suffer. You take them." This philosophy is also expressed in Bible, Lord Jesus Christ, that he agreed to suffer himself for the sins of all the people
- This material world is important because I am identifying myself with this material body. Therefore it is important: 'Where I shall sit? Where shall I eat? Where shall I sleep? How shall I be protected?' - So many things
- This mentality, that "I shall enjoy," that is false, I mean to say, propensity of the living entity. That is called maya

- This offense at the lotus feet of an exalted devotee has resulted in a wonderful narration. Taking advantage of the opportunity afforded by these incidents, I shall explain what happened. O devotees, please listen
- This place is for miseries, as well as it is temporary. Even if you accept, "All right, it is a miserable place. I shall stay here. Never mind," but nature will not allow you to stay even. One day it will come, immediately kick you out
- This question must arise. - Wherefrom I have come? What is my constitutional position? Where I shall go after death? Why I am put into this miserable condition of life? Why there is birth, death, old age, disease? I do not want all of them
- This saffron cloth is unfit for a Vaisnava to wear; therefore I (Sanatana Gosvami) have no use for it. I shall give it to a stranger
- Those who are averse to taste the honey in Krsna consciousness, they are rogues. They are rogues. And the Yamaraja is advising, "Go there. Bring them here, and I shall chastise them nicely." That is Yamaraja
- Those who are fixed up in the words of guru, so - Guru has ordered me to do it. Oh, that is my life. I do not know whether I will be promoted to heaven or hell. It doesn't matter. I shall execute
- Those who are not accustomed, they'll become mad simply by chanting. It's difficult. You cannot imitate Haridasa Thakura, that "Now I shall go in a secluded place and chant Hare Krsna." It is not possible, sir
- Those who are not confident that Krsna will protect me, they are in pangs and "Oh, what shall I eat? Where shall I live? What can I do? How shall I protect
- Those who begin to question why they are suffering or where they came from and where they shall go after death are proper students for understanding Bhagavad-gita. BG 1972 Introduction
- Those who engage in the culture of nescient activities shall enter into the darkest region of ignorance. Worse still are those engaged in the culture of so-called knowledge
- Thus I (Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami) have spoken the preface of the Caitanya-caritamrta. Now I shall describe Caitanya Mahaprabhu's pastimes in chronological order
- Thus injured all over his body and fainting at every step, he cries out, "Oh, what shall I do now! How shall I be saved!" This is how one suffers who deviates from the accepted religious principles
- Thus the killing of the demons is but secondary work. I shall now speak of the main reason for the Lord's incarnation

- To execute this Krsna consciousness is very pleasing. And pratyaksavagamam, and you'll understand directly how we are advancing. So where is the difficulty? The difficulty is dog obstinacy. They'll not do it. "Why shall I do it?'' This is the difficulty

- Today I am a human being or a great personality, but with a little deviation from nature's law, I shall have to accept a different type of body
- Today, with my thunderbolt, which has hundreds of sharp edges, I, the same powerful person, shall sever your head from your body
- Tomorrow at noon He will come to your home. Therefore please bring all kinds of cooking ingredients. I shall personally cook and offer Him food
- Too much sense gratification means creating disease. For example, some nice eatable. But if you, because it is very nice rasagulla, therefore I shall devour one dozen, that's not very good. That will create indigestion immediately
- Tyagi means, Oh, this is all material. Why shall I touch? Aham brahmasmi. I'm Brahman. I am nothing

- Why I shall purify my sattva existence? Brahma-saukhyam tv anantam. Then you get unlimited pleasure, unlimited happiness. That is real pleasure
- Why I shall steal? There is enough food. But because I haven't got this knowledge that "God is the proprietor. I am His part and parcel, son. So if He has provided food for the elephant, who eats at a time forty kilos, I cannot eat?" This is knowledge
- Why shall I surrender? That is our mentality. If somebody says, good man, that "You surrender. I shall give you good instruction," "Oh, why shall I surrender to you?" That is material life
- Why shall you sleep more than four hours or five hours, or utmost six hours? That's all, not more than that. That is vairagya-vidya. We have to learn it. That is devotional service. Vairagya-vidya nija-bhakti-yogam

- You are nityah sasvata. You are never killed, even after the destruction of the body. That is real understanding, that - I am not this body. After annihilation of this body, I shall continue
- You are very much puffed up with pride and have become almost insane. Presently you have assumed the form of a cow by your mystic powers. Nonetheless I shall cut you into small pieces like grain
- You cannot make a compromise: "All right, let it be miserable. I shall remain here as an American or Indian." No. That also you cannot do. You cannot remain an American

- You do not eat it, but they ask me again and again. How long shall I go on cheating them? How shall I be freed from this responsibility
- You go to Saurastra and see what is the possibility of opening centers there. I want that we should open up more centers in India. When I return to India I shall go there to Saurastra
- You have already been informed about the nine daughters of Kardama Muni, who were handed over to nine different sages. I shall now describe the descendants of those nine daughters. Please hear from me
- You have got very nice car or very nice building, and you are enjoying as Australian, as American. That's all right. But how long you shall remain American and Australian?
- You have prayed to Me and properly worshiped Me by performing the great payo-vrata ceremony for the sake of protecting your sons. Because of Kasyapa Muni's austerities, I shall agree to become your son and thus protect your other sons
- You may go home without anxiety. Following your order, I shall persuade the brahmana. On this plea, after asking permission, Raghunatha dasa decided to go away
- You must all jointly make these decisions about my program there, not that whimsically one man shall decide one thing another man shall decide another thing
- You must have sense gratification, eating, sleeping, mating - but as far as you can maintain your body very nicely. Not that voluntarily you shall starve

- You rot in this material world or go back to Godhead. That is your option. It is open to you both ways. You go to hell or go to heaven. That is your option. So human life is meant for selecting - "What shall I do? I shall go to hell or heaven?"
- You say what it is. Don't say "They say." You use your intelligence. If the foolish man says something, shall I have to accept it? You use your own intelligence
- You shall eat whatever you require for proper upkeep of the body, not eating too much and sleeping whole day. Don't do that. Eat only what is absolutely necessary. Then you'll never be in want
- You shall never be happy - this is perfect instruction - unless you go back to home, back to Godhead. Just like a mad boy, he has forsaken his father
- You shall research about God? The frog philosophy? There is no research. Research, that is not accepted in Vedic philosophy. You have to accept the authority. That's all
- You should give up your philosophy and science. That, "Because my scripture does not allow me to become educated, I shall remain a fool." What is this
- You sit down on the back of the ass and just take a morsel of grass. The ass is thinking, "Let me go forward a little, and I shall get the grass." But it is always one foot distant. That is ass-ism
- You'll have to fight, struggle for existence. This is material life. And at the same time, if you make compromise, that "Never mind, it is full of miseries. I shall stay here," no, you cannot be allowed. You'll be kicked out
