A
- A common man’s visit to a holy place and an exalted saintly person’s visit there are different. The common man leaves his sins in the holy place, and a saintly person or devotee cleanses these sins simply by his presence
- A king is always accompanied by his ministers, secretaries and commanders, and Lord Visnu is also accompanied by His followers - the demigods, great sages, saintly persons and so on. He is never alone
- A real saintly person never declares himself to be God but always places himself in the position of a servant of God

- Even such literature is written in broken language, not in the proper way from grammatical point of view, from poetic point of view, from rhetorical, because such literature is full with glorification of the Supreme Lord, saintly persons, they accept it

- Giving all kinds of excuses, even the heads of religions indulge in killing animals while trying to pass as saintly persons. This mockery and hypocrisy in human society bring about unlimited calamities; therefore occasionally there are great wars
- Great saintly personalities, sages & demigods are able to offer benedictions to ordinary living entities, but they in turn are benedicted by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Without being benedicted by Krsna, one can't offer benediction to anyone else

- Having said this (please be merciful to such a poor-hearted person as me, since both of you are saintly persons. Please excuse my atrocities), Kamsa fell at the feet of Vasudeva and Devaki, his eyes full of tears of regret - SB 10.4.23
- He (Parasurama) is advised to go from one holy place to another to find saintly persons and thus gradually be released from sinful reactions

- Sadhu means saintly person. Titiksavah karunikah suhrdah sarva-dehinam. He's tolerant, he's very kind to everyone, and he's friend to all living entities. He has no enemy, or he is nobody's enemy. And he's peaceful. These are some of the qualification
- Sadhu, sastra, guru: saintly person, association of saintly person, acceptance of bona fide spiritual master, and faith in the scriptures. That's all. Then your carriage will be going nicely

- This action (sending Apsaras to break the severe austerity of a saintly person called Acyuta Rsi) was typical of Indra, the King of heaven. Whenever Indra discovered someone undergoing severe austerities, he would begin to fear for his post

- Vidura inquired from the sage Maitreya: My dear brahmana, King Anga was very gentle. He had high character and was a saintly personality and lover of brahminical culture. How is it that such a great soul got a bad son like Vena

- We must render service to the holy, saintly person. And if you want to go deeper and deeper in the darkest region of existence, then we should turn our face for sense gratification
- When a great saintly person like Vidura sees his relatives, he desires only to deliver them from the clutches of maya. Vidura thus offered his respectful obeisances to his spiritual master & departed for the city of Hastinapura, kingdom of the Kauravas
- When a man comes in contact with a saintly person, he becomes aware of the stringent laws of nature and thus becomes a religious person
- When a saintly person or pure devotee visits such a holy place, he absorbs the sinful effects left by the common men and again purifies the holy place
