- A diseased person is recommended to worship the sun-god; a person wanting education may worship the goddess of learning, Sarasvati; and a person wanting a beautiful wife may worship the goddess Uma, the wife of Lord Siva. BG 1972 purports

- It is recommended that we should always keep in touch with the devotional service of the Lord so that the blazing fire of devotional service can gradually burn into ashes material desires and we can become liberated from the repetition of birth and death

- The devotee becomes Krsna-ized by eating the remnants (of foods offered to Krsna). One who does not engage in such service cannot understand how this is so, although this is a process recommended in the Gita & in other Vedic literatures. BG 1972 purports
