A
- A devotee does not live alone. Of course, everyone lives with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but because the devotee is engaged in His service, he actually does not live in any material condition

- Krsna said, "The living entity is imprisoned in the material condition on account of his false conception of himself as the supreme enjoyer. This false ego of the living entity is the cause of his imprisonment in material existence"

- So far material condition, He (Caitanya Mahaprabhu) had His very affectionate mother. He was the only son of His mother; all brothers and sister died. And His wife Laksmi-priya died first, then He married, second time, Visnu-priya. So very happy life
- So long you shall remain within this material world, you have to accept these four principles of material condition, that you'll have to die

- Srila Narottama dasa Thakura, also, prays like this, "My dear Lord, O son of Nanda Maharaja, associated with the daughter of Vrsabhanu, I have come to take shelter under Your lotus feet after suffering greatly in the material condition of life"
- Such literatures (modern fictions and novels) cannot do good to anyone; on the contrary, they agitate the young mind unnecessarily and increase the modes of passion and ignorance, leading to increasing bondage to the material conditions
- Such preachers (devotees who preach Krsna consciousness, the teachings of Bhagavad-gita, everywhere) in Krsna consciousness are called paramahamsas. As indicated by the word vimukta-sanga, they have nothing to do with material conditions

- That (God is expanded in everything, but He is not everything, simultaneously one and different) is explained in this (BG 9.4) verse. In the material condition we have a conception of beginning, end and middle, but for the SPG there are no such things

- The influence of time is exhibited by the symptoms of birth, death, old age and disease, and these four principles of material conditions are present everywhere in any part of the material cosmos up to the planet Brahmaloka
- The king must know that human life is meant for liberating the encaged soul from the bondage of material conditions, and therefore his duty is to see that the citizens are properly looked after to attain this highest stage of perfection

- The living entity is eternal and blissful, but despite miserable material conditions, he thinks the material world to be real and factual due to his ignorance
- The living entity is not really connected with this material world, but due to his tendency to enjoy the material senses, he is put into the material condition
- The living entity misunderstands himself to be a material product. This means that the present perverted way of thinking, feeling and willing, under material conditions, is not natural for him
- The living entity, while concocting with the mind, creates the material condition. Because matter is destructible, through the material condition the living entity suffers. Otherwise, the living entity is detached from all material conditions
- The Lord expressed Himself to be unable to save Durvasa Muni, although the Muni was so powerful that he could reach the Lord directly under material conditions. But Durvasa Muni was saved by Maharaja Ambarisa, a devotee of the Lord
- The Lord is always prepared to shower His mercy upon fallen souls struggling against miserable material conditions
- The Lord is the predominator of the external energy, maya, whereas the living entity is predominated by the same maya under the material condition
- The material conditional bodies develop out of the living entities' forgetfulness of their relationship with Godhead
- The material conditions are described in this verse (SB 4.26.8) as guna-pravaha, the flowing of the three modes of material nature

- The path of fruitive work (karma-kanda), even when decorated by religious ceremonies meant to elevate one’s material condition, is a cheating process because it can never enable one to gain relief from material existence and achieve the highest goal
- The process of meditation recommended herein (in 2.2.12) is bhakti-yoga, or the process of devotional service after one is liberated from the material conditions. Jnana-yoga is the process of liberation from the material conditions

- There can be no happiness in changing one's material conditions, for everywhere there is trouble and misery

- These symptoms (relief from suffering of material condition) are visible when one no longer has material attachment. A sadhu does not think himself Hindu, Muslim, Christian, American, Indian or whatever. A sadhu simply thinks, - I am the servant of Krsna

- They are reading Bhagavad-gita, but they do not know how to get liberty. Neither they are interested. They want to stay here, and subjected to the natural . . . material condition, janma-mrtyu-jara-vyadhi
- They worshiped Him to become free from material conditions and thus derive the ultimate benefit. Whoever follows such great authorities is also eligible for liberation from the material world
- This is (the four divisions of human society) the arrangement of the SPG so that the conditioned souls will be released from the material condition and return home, back to Godhead. This is the purpose of Krsna's descent on the surface of the earth

- Unless a living entity forgets his real identity, it is impossible for him to live in the material conditions of life. Therefore the first condition of material existence is forgetfulness of one's real identity
