- Her (Radharani's) body is also decorated with the ornaments of spiritual ecstasy - trembling tears, petrification, perspiration, choking, cessation of all bodily functions due to transcendental pleasure, stumbling, high blood pressure and madness

- I (a person free from clutches of maya) can understand that these bodily concerns are not my real business. My real business is how to elevate myself - as a spirit soul - to the spiritual world, back to home, back to Godhead
- I also feel that I am controlling my bodily affairs to some extent, but because I am not the supreme controller, if there is something wrong in this body, I have to go to a physician. Similarly, I have no control over other bodies
- I have got some connection, bodily connection, with woman. Therefore she's my wife or my protected, - something like that. Children also - the same thing, bodily. They have no idea of the spirit soul, simply body
- I wish to point out that this chanting of the holy name of God (Hare Krsna) and hearing the truths of the Gita is as good as bodily association with Krsna. That is stated in the Gita. This process is called kirtana

- Medical students in the biological department, they study from the frogs, from guinea pigs, the human constitution of the body. There is no difference. But what is the difference? Not this bodily construction, but development of consciousness

- Narada Muni said: I had a beautiful face and a pleasing, attractive bodily structure. Decorated with flower garlands and sandalwood pulp, I was most pleasing to the women of my city. Thus I was bewildered, always feeling lusty desires
- Naturally his (Bharata's) love for Vasudeva, Krsna, increased more and more and melted his heart. Consequently he gradually lost all attachment for regulative duties. The hairs of his body stood on end, and all the ecstatic bodily symptoms were manifest
- Nature is always troubling you, either by excessive heat or either by excessive cold or by some by natural disturbance - some earthquake, some famine, some pestilence; then there are bodily disturbances, disease, mental disturbances
- No one has witnessed such bodily changes elsewhere, nor has anyone read of them in the revealed scriptures. Yet Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the supreme sannyasi, exhibited these ecstatic symptoms

- O most beautiful Krsna, I have heard about Your transcendental qualities from others, and therefore all my bodily miseries are relieved. If someone sees Your transcendental beauty, his eyes have attained everything profitable in life
- O my Lord, Your transcendental pastimes and enjoyments all appear inconceivable because they are not limited by the causal and effective actions of material thought. You can do everything without performing bodily work - SB 6.9.34-37

- People are thinking, "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am brahmana," "I am ksatriya," "I am cat," "I am dog." Every living entity is simply thinking in bodily. That is asat-patha

- Prolonged life, does it guarantee that these three kinds of miseries-bodily, mental and external, natural; there are so many disturbances - he will be free from all these disturbances? Simply dog's obstinacy, that's all
- Prthu Maharaja was completely trained in that line (of parampara); therefore he did not deserve to be considered an ordinary man. An ordinary man, who has only a conception of bodily existence, is always bewildered by the modes of material nature
- Pure devotees manifest spiritual bodily symptoms of ecstatic love simply by remembering and reminding others of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, who takes away everything inauspicious from the devotee

- Radharani's shyness arises due to Sri Krsna's prohibitions, and ecstatic loving bodily symptoms called kila-kincita-bhava are manifest at this time
- Ravana and Hiranyakasipu underwent a severe type of bodily torture to achieve the end of sense gratification. Sometimes modern politicians also undergo severe types of austerities to achieve some political end. This is not actually tapasya
- Realization of the visuddha-sattva platform is beyond the pale of the material world and is not perceived by bodily senses or mental speculation
- Rules of hatha-yoga are not followed. Simply they have got some bodily gymnastic sitting posture. They are thinking, "I am practicing." No. That is one of the items. So all the items cannot be observed in this age. Therefore it is wasting

- Simply bodily cleanliness may help to some extent, but cleanliness of the mind is necessary, and it is effected by glorifying the Supreme Lord. No one can cleanse the accumulated mental dust without glorifying the Supreme Lord
- Simply by knowing by historical fact that Krsna is born in such-and-such date, in such-and-such place, in such-and-such family, activity . . . but no. One has to learn that in tattvatah, in truth. Then he becomes free from this bodily entanglement

- The threefold miseries are called adhyatmika, adhibhautika, & adhidaivika. The word adhyatmika refers to those miseries caused by mind & body. Sometimes the living entity suffers bodily, & sometimes he is distressed mentally. Both are adhyatmika miseries

- There are some bodily symptoms which express overwhelming ecstatic love. They are counted at thirty-one as follows
- There are thirty-two bodily marks that symptomize a great personality, and I see all those marks on the body of this child

- Vaivarnya is described (Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu) as a change in the bodily color. It is caused by a combination of moroseness, anger and fear. When these emotions are experienced, the complexion turns pale and the body becomes lean and thin
- Vidura, was astonished how powerful is the urge to continue life. This sense of continuing one's life indicates that a living being is eternally a living entity and does not want to change his bodily habitation
- Visarga: the secondary creation, or the work of Brahma in producing the moving and unmoving bodies in the universe - brahmanda

- Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura, one of the great acaryas in the modern age, explains that anubhava, or the glory of the Lord, is first appreciated by the devotee in ecstasy manifesting the symptoms of perspiring, trembling, weeping, bodily eruptions, etc
- Vrtrasura being an unalloyed devotee, aspired only to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore the Lord arranged for him to go back to Godhead after his bodily bondage was destroyed by Indra

- We are all Brahman, spirit soul, but somehow or other we have come in contact with these material elements (bhumir apo 'nalo vayuh (BG 7.4)), and we have acquired bodily coverings. Consequently we think, "I am this body." This is ignorance
- We are evolving through different statuses of material bodily existence - sometimes in a human body, sometimes in an animal body - and therefore the engagements of our material senses are also changing
- We are getting repeatedly different types of body. Now we should purify this bodily existence. And that purification in this age, it is very, very simple: chant Hare Krsna. That's all

- When the enchanter and the enchanted become separated, mohana, or bewilderment, occurs. When so bewildered due to separation, one becomes stunned, and at that time all the bodily symptoms of transcendental ecstasy are manifested
- When the gopis felt separation from Krsna, they experienced ten kinds of bodily transformations. These same symptoms appeared in the body of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu
