- Although India is now fallen, when there is a message that someone will speak about Bhagavad-gita or Srimad-Bhagavatam, thousands of people still gather to hear
- Although the Srimad-Bhagavatam was spoken in four verses, it had ten characteristics, which will be explained in the next chapter
- As a matter of principle, devotees should read, speak and hear Srimad-Bhagavatam persistently, twenty-four hours daily if possible. That is the recommendation of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu

- Because of the misbehavior of Romaharsana, Baladeva killed him at Naimisaranya and appointed his son Ugrasrava, Suta Gosvami, the speaker of Srimad-Bhagavatam, to continue the discourses on the Puranas
- Before speaking Srimad-Bhagavatam, Sukadeva Gosvami offered his obeisances to Krsna with this verse (SB 2.4.15). He said, - I offer my obeisances unto Him, for simply hearing of Him is subhadra, auspicious
- Brahma said to Narada, "Whatever I have spoken to you about the Bhagavatam was explained to me by the Lord & I am advising you to expand these topics nicely so that people may easily understand the mysterious bhakti-yoga by transcendental loving service"

- If the mango is tasted by the parrot, it becomes doubly tasty. The word suka means parrot, and Sukadeva Gosvami spoke Srimad-Bhagavatam. It is therefore more relishable from his lips
- In India, when we speak on the BG or SB, we regularly perform worship with flowers, or with other paraphernalia, as is required for worshiping. In the Sikh religion also, although they have no form of the Deity, they worship the book Granthasahib
- In this connection, Sukadeva Gosvami speaks in the Sixth Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam, 2nd Chapter, 17th verse, about the story of Ajamila, who began life as a fine and dutiful brahmana but in his young manhood became wholly corrupted by a prostitute

- Mentioned by Sanatana Gosvami, another great saint; those who are not in devotional service, nongodly, have no faith in God - such persons should not be allowed to speak on the BG & SB, or any literature which is in relationship with the Supreme Lord
- Morning is the best time to hold spiritual services. The great sages offered the speaker of the Bhagavatam an elevated seat of respect called the vyasasana, or the seat of Sri Vyasadeva

- The Bhagavad-gita mentions striyo vaisyas tatha sudrah (BG 9.32), and the Srimad-Bhagavatam speaks of stri-sudra-dvija-bandhunam (SB 1.4.25). According to these references women, sudras, and dvija-bandhus are considered to belong to the same category
- The difference between the six philosophical paths put forward by the renowned sages above mentioned and that of Sukadeva, as presented in the Srimad-Bhagavatam, is that all the six sages mentioned above speak the facts according to their own thinking

- We are also publishing Srimad-Bhagavatam in sixty volumes. Wherever a speaker holds discourses from these books and an audience hears him, this will create a good and auspicious situation
- We can see in the scripture Srimad-Bhagavatam the conduct of its author, Sri Vyasadeva. After speaking the narration, he repeats it again and again
- We speak from Srimad-Bhagavatam, we speak from Bhagavad-gita, and present them as it is, without any adulteration. This is our position
- What I am speaking before you from Srimad-Bhagavatam or Bhagavad-gita, that is also chanting. This is also kirtana. Kirtana means describing
