- Sometimes the Christian missionaries go to our country. They bribe the poorer classes of men, and they become Christians - not by understanding the philosophy or the religion
- Sometimes they divide, four classes of men: lazy intelligent, active intelligent, and lazy fool and active fool. The active fool is fourth class because whatever he'll do, it is foolish. So result will not be very good. Active fool
- Sri Naradaji advised Vyasadeva to describe the glories of the Lord just to do good to all eight classes of men, both good and bad
- Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Maharaja has remarked that there is a class of common men who claim that anyone and everyone can worship the Supreme Lord according to his own invented mode of worship and still attain the SP of Godhead
- Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura writes in his Anubhasya - They (Navani Hoda and his descendants) belong to the daksina-radhiya-kayastha community, but, having been reformed as brahmanas, they still initiate all classes of men
- Srila Jiva Gosvami Prabhu, therefore, affirms that recommendations in the scriptures for a certain class of men are never to be considered adharma, or irreligious. But such activities are factually adharma, and they are never to be encouraged
- Sripada Shankaracarya because He was the incarnation of Shankara, very carefully avoided to make any commentation on the holy Bhagwatam. Sripada Shankaracarya preached His Mayavada philosophy for bewildering the atheist class of men
- Srotavyam means beneficial to the human. So if it is not beneficial to the human, it may be beneficial to a certain class of men
- Srutadeva said, "You (Krsna) are the supreme controller and superintendent of the material nature’s activities. The atheistic class of men simply observe the activities of material nature but cannot find You as the original background"
- Such characteristics are sometimes exhibited by the impersonalist class of men, and they may captivate some innocent persons who have no knowledge in the science of devotional service
- Such literatures (Puranas) should be discussed in the assembly of devotees. Unless they are discussed by devotees, such literatures cannot be relished by the higher class of men
- Such persons (class of men with demoniac mentality) could not recognize Lord Sri Krsna even when He was present before them
- Such unmanly sentiments (of Arjuna) were never expected from a person belonging to the civilized class of men known as Aryans. BG 1972 purports
- Such unscrupulous deviation from the real meaning of the Vedanta-sutra has created a class of men who by word jugglery try to derive various indirect meanings from the Vedic literatures, especially the Bhagavad-gita
- Such views (of a class of common men) may be very pleasing to an ordinary person, but they are full of misconceptions. One who worships the demigods, motivated by material lust, cannot attain the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Sukadeva Gosvami is compared to the parrot not for his ability to recite the Bhagavatam exactly as he heard it from his learned father, but for his ability to present the work in a manner that would appeal to all classes of men
- Superficially they think, "We don't believe in God. We believe in Lord Buddha." And Lord Buddha is God. Therefore in the Bhagavata it is said that his business will be cheat the atheist class of men
- Suppose you are in this Krsna conscious society. Now, you cannot expect that all the members of the society will be first-class men. How can we expect? We are collecting members of the society from all classes of men
- Sva-dharma means one may be in goodness, one may be in passion, one may be in darkness, and one may be in mixture. So that is divided into four classes of men: the brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya and sudra
T
- Te Aryan civilization there are four divisions to maintain the society in the correct balance. That is also stated in the Bhagavad-gita: catur-varnyam maya srstam guna-karma-vibhagasah (BG 4.13). The society must be divided into four classes of men
- That division (brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya & sudra) is there all over the world. Either you name differently, but these four classes of men are there, either in India or in America or Hawaii or Japan or anywhere
- That is there, a class of men, jijnasu. Catur-vidha bhajante mam sukrtinah (BG 7.16). They are pious. "Actually what is the truth?" Jijnasu. And jnani
- That sacrifice also recommended in this sense, that you cannot stop animal killing; there will be a class of men who'll eat meat
- The atheist class man will always think that Deity is a doll: "These people, crazy fellow, they are worshiping doll." But not for a devotee
- The atheist class men are described as the lowest of the mankind. Why? Naradhamah, na duskrtinah: always engaged in sinful activities, that na mam duskrtino mudhah, and rascals
- The atheist class of men foolishly inquire "Where is God?" And we present them Krsna - here is God, and if you have got sense and intelligence just try to understand Krsna, whether He is not God
- The atheist class of men, they are always busy for economic development. They have no idea of spiritual existence or spiritual advancement of life. That is the distinction between atheistic life and theistic life
- The blessings of brahmanas who are not envious, disturbed or puffed up with pride and false prestige and who are fully qualified with truthfulness will be useful. Therefore a class of men must be trained as brahmanas from the very beginning
- The brain will give direction, the hand will give protection. Everything is required. Therefore we have named this "Krsna conscious society." "Society" means all classes of men required
- The central purpose of these eighteen principles is the attainment of transcendental devotional service to the Personality of Godhead. Therefore all classes of men are encouraged to learn the art of devotional service to the Lord
- The characteristics of the lowest class of men have already been described - they do not bathe, they have long hair on their heads, and they are addicted to intoxicants
- The citizens were trained according to the varnasrama system. A class of men were brahmanas, a class of men were ksatriyas, a class were vaisyas, and a class were sudras. Without this scientific division, there can be no question of good citizenship
- The class of men who do not believe in God, they should be punished, because they are creating all the troubles. A man who trusts in God, he is the ideal man. He will never create any trouble
- The common religion of all classes of human beings, regardless of whosoever and whatsoever one may be, is devotional service
- The dangerous ways of interpretations by the nondevotee class of men have played havoc in understanding the Srimad-Bhagavatam, and the careful student should be always alert in this matter if he at all wants to learn the science of Godhead
- The demoniac class of men will always remain, but unless there is a strong body to present God Consciousness proposals to the leaders of the world, there will be no hope
- The devotional service of the Supreme Lord is the only process by which all problems of all classes of men can be solved. Everyone should therefore take to Krsna consciousness and make his life perfect. BG 1972 purports
- The four classes are already there, everywhere. Even in Muslim, they have also got the priests, what is called, maulanas, maulana, priestly class. They have got. We're introducing the systematic caste system, but caste system is already there, everywhere
- The four classes of good men acknowledge the authority of the Almighty God, and therefore such good men (1) when they are in difficulty, (2) when they are in need of money, (3) when they are advanced in knowledge, intuitively take shelter of the Lord
- The four classes of men are there, still. But the third-class, fourth-class man is taking the place of first class. And the first-class man is kicked out, "Go out. Don't talk of God." This is the position at the present moment
- The four classes of men: God, His devotee, innocent person and envious person, demons. So the person who is promoted to the second stage, he'll deal with these four classes of division differently. Isvara-prema
- The fourth grade of man is the laborer class. They have no capacity either to become brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya. They have to take shelter of somebody and must be satisfied with the wages he takes from that
- The general worship of Sanideva, the lord of distressful condition, and Sitaladevi, the goddess of smallpox, is also common to the mass of people, and there are many foolish men who worship the mass of people or the poor class of men
- The harijana word was used by Gandhi unnecessarily for a class of men who are not fit for the position. Harijana means "the men of Hari." Just like Narada. Narada is called harijana. Great devotee is called harijana, "the persons related with Hari"
- The higher castes of society, namely the intelligent class of men guiding the destinies of the social orders, the administrative class of men guiding the law and order, and the productive class of men guiding the economic development of the society
- The highly intellectual class of men, they are situated on the mouth of the Supreme Lord. The intellectual persons are considered the mouth of the Supreme Lord
- The idea is that they (demoniac human beings) do not know how to expend their energy for right causes, being unaware of the benefit of Krsna consciousness. Actually, there are two classes of men - one is Krsna conscious, the other is non-Krsna conscious
- The Krsna consciousness movement of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is so powerful that it can inundate the entire world and interest all classes of men in the subject of love of Godhead
- The ksatriyas, or the administrative class of men, are expected to rule the planet by the direction of the intelligent class of men, who give direction to the rulers in terms of the standard sastras, or the books of revealed knowledge
- The mayayapahrta-jnana class of men are self-made "Gods." Such men think that they themselves are God and that there is no need of worshiping any other God
- The nondevotee class of men cannot think of the personal feature of the Lord. Because of their poor fund of knowledge, the personal form of the Lord, like Rama or Krsna, is completely revolting to them
- The old way of leaving the matter to the irresponsible class of men will not help the preaching work of this important mission
- The organized society should be that there should be first-class men, brahmana. They would give advice to the second-class men, the administrators. And the administrator class of men, they will see that everyone is following the religious principles
- The other class of men work in Krsna consciousness (two classes of men, one being inclined to understand the Self by empirical, philosophical speculation), as it is explained in the 61st verse of the Second Chapter. BG 1972 purports
- The other class of men, those who are liberated and are situated in the transcendental position above intelligence, are really happy and are called paramahamsas
- The Pancaratrika system acts on the sudra class of men, supposedly the population of the Kali-yuga, and it is the prescribed purificatory process suitable to the age and time
- The past, present and future are open for everyone. There is no restriction. No one says: "This class of men shall be good, and this class of men shall be bad." Anyone can become good
- The person in the second class not only thinks his material body to be his self, but also commits all kinds of sinful activities to maintain his body
- The picture of a proper human civilization is indirectly described here (in SB 7.2.12). In a perfect human civilization there must be a class of men fully trained as perfect brahmanas
- The Puranas are so divided that any class of men can take advantage of them and gradually regain their lost position and get out of the hard struggle for existence
- The purport is that even though material conditions are miserable, if these (BG 16.1-3) qualities are developed by practice, by all classes of men, then gradually it is possible to rise to the highest platform of transcendental realization. BG 1972 pur
- The rasa dance is misunderstood by the foolish class of men. Some of them take this to be immoral, while others try to cover it up by their own stupid interpretations. They have no desire to follow in the footsteps of Srila Sukadeva Gosvami
- The rascal class of men, they cannot understand arca-murti. They think that, "They are worshiping idol." Even amongst the Hindus there are so-called followers of Vedas, they also say that, What is the necessity of worshiping Deity in the temple
- The richest nation of the world (America), having all facilities for material comfort, is producing a class of men completely confused and frustrated in life. I am appealing herewith to such confused men to learn the art of devotional service
- The scriptures describe in detail the divisions of society, with their inherent characteristics. Therefore we commit a serious mistake when we regard the different classes of men as belonging to particular countries or races
- The second class of men, known as ksatriyas, are especially meant for governing a country under the direction of saintly persons (brahmanas) who are supposed to be very intelligent
- The society must be divided into four classes of men, as it is stated in the Bhagavad-gita. There are three gunas, and the sattva-guna, brahmana, a class of ideal men, must be there in the society so that people can follow them
- The society requires to train a certain class of men to become brahmanas. Just like we are training the Krsna conscious. The Krsna consciousness is meant for the brahmanas
- The society requires to train a certain class of men to become brahmin. Just like we are training the Krsna conscious. The Krsna consciousness is meant for the brahmins. They are not meant for fighting
- The society should be divided into four classes of men. That is natural. Just like in your body there are four divisions: the head division, the arm division, the belly division and the leg division. You cannot avoid it
- The sudras means the lowest class of men, who have no culture. But the higher classes, the brahmins, the ksatriyas, they are considered highly cultured. And how they are called highly cultured? Because they are twice-born
- The sudras, the unintelligent class of men who cannot act independently in any of the above-mentioned activities, are meant for serving the three higher classes for their livelihood
- The transcendentalists and the materialists are two distinct classes of men. The transcendentalist gathers knowledge from authoritative scriptures like the Vedas
- The two misconceptions of life, namely "I" and "mine," are verily manifested in two classes of men
- The vaisyas, or the mercantile class of men, trade in commodities, protect cows and develop agricultural produce. The sudras, or laborer class, serve the higher classes because they themselves are not very intelligent
- The Vedic civilization was very simplified, simplified. A class of ideal men, the brahmana, they are ideal. They are simply assimilating the Vedic knowledge and guiding others
- The very idea of the scientific divisions of four classes of human society and four orders of life is also inquired about herewith on the basis of individual personal quality
- The Visnu forms of worship in great temples of India are not arrangements of idol worship, as they are wrongly interpreted to be by a class of men with a poor fund of knowledge
- The whole aim is how to worship the Supreme Lord. That is human life. So if we make these divisions, so any class of man, if he comes to this social system of varnasrama-dharma, then automatically will come to the understanding what is Brahman
- The whole dog is burned, and then they relish that roasted dog. Roasted pig I have seen. There is a class, they roast the pig and they eat. So this class of men, they roast dog, and it is called dog cake - kukur-pita. Pita means cake kukur means dog
- The whole human civilization, must be reformed in this way, that the . . . there are intellectual class of men, naturally. There are first-class intellectual class of men, second-class intellectual, third class, fourth class, like that
- The whole scientific system of the orders of society in this age has assumed the form of a vitiated caste system, which is now being uprooted by another class of men similarly influenced by the age of Kali
- The word bhilla refers (in CC Madhya 17.53) to a class of men belonging to the Bheels. The Bheels are like Black Africans, and they are lower than sudras. Such people generally live in the jungle, and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu had to meet them
- The word sarva-samuccaye is significant here. It includes all classes of men - atmaramas, munis and nirgranthas
- The word ubhayesam can be described in many ways. Generally there are two classes of men, the materialist and the transcendentalist. By hearing discussions between devotees, both the materialist and transcendentalist are benefited
- The words krpanasya jijivisoh are significant. There are two classes of men. One is called the krpana, and the other is called the brahmana
- The world is full of these classes of men, and you have to educate them. Your responsibility is very great. You have to make an ass a devotee, a camel a devotee, a dog a devotee, a hog a devotee. This is your mission
- Their mission is, "What is this nonsense, spiritual understanding? Simply some sentiment, waste of time. Produce. Enjoy. Invent so many things for sense gratification" - Western civilization. And this is very attractive to the raksasa class
- Then we have got a test tube, statement of Krsna. Then what class of man he is? If he does not believe in God, if he does not know what is God, what is our relationship with God, then what class of man he is? So we have got this test tube of Bhagavad-gita
- There are always atheistic class of men. Even Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. The only fault was that he was preaching God consciousness. So these class of men, you will find always they are existing. During Krsna's time, there was Kamsa
- There are always two classes of men, the devotees and the demons. As confirmed in Bhagavad-gita (paritranaya sadhunam (BG 4.8)), the Lord is always ready for the protection of the devotees and annihilation of the demons
- There are certain class of men who are simply philosophizing and there are certain class of men who are simply blindly following religious ritualistic process. So Bhagavad-gita is combination of both. That is scientific
- There are different classes of men and eating. So there is a class of men, dog-eaters. I do not know whether in your country (USA) there is any class of men who are dog-eaters, but India, Assam side, there is a class of men who are still dog-eaters
- There are four classes of good men, and there are four classes of bad men also
- There are four classes of men created by God: catur-varnyam. How they are divided? How the classification is made? Guna-karma-vibhagasah, by classification of quality and work. Not by birth
- There are many classes of men comprehending the same misconception of "I" and "mine', in different colors
- There are prescribed duties for the different social classes of men - the brahmanas, the vaisyas, the ksatriyas and the sudras - and for the different asramas - brahmacarya, grhastha, vanaprastha and sannyasa
- There are two classes men, dhira and adhira. So adhira means busy fool, and dhira means lazy intelligent. But our, this movement is meant both for the dhira and adhira
- There are two classes of men - devotees and nondevotees. Nondevotees are called demons, and devotees are called demigods
- There are two classes of men - namely the krpana and the brahmana. A brahmana is one who knows Brahman, the Absolute Truth, and who thus knows his real interest. A krpana, however, is one who has a material, bodily concept of life
- There are two classes of men - the demons and the demigods. The demigods are fully aware of the Supreme Lord's position, and therefore they are obedient to Him, but even if demons know about the supremacy of the Lord they purposely defy His authority
- There are two classes of men - those who are obedient to the laws of the Supreme Lord and those who are atheists or agnostics, who do not accept the existence of God and who want to create their own laws
- There are two classes of men - those who are sober (dhira) and those who are extravagant (adhira). When one, in spite of provocation or in spite of the presence of a source of mental agitation, can remain steady in his position, he is called dhira
- There are two classes of men absorbed in the material concept of life. Out of ignorance, a man in the first class thinks his body to be his self, and therefore he is certainly like an animal
- There are two classes of men in the created world. One consists of the demoniac and the other of the godly. The devotees of Lord Visnu are the godly, whereas those who are just the opposite are called demons
- There are two classes of men in the world; one is called the demon, and the other is called the demigod
- There are two classes of men in this world. Sometimes the number, or the proportion, may be greater, this side or that but in this material world the proportion of the demigods, or Vaisnavas, is never greater
- There are two classes of men, namely the devotee and the demon. BG 1972 purports
- There are two classes of men, namely those too addicted to the gross body and the material world, and others, on the higher level, who are interested more in transcendental knowledge
- There are two classes of men. Some of them are full of polluted material things within their hearts, and some of them are materially free. Krsna consciousness is equally beneficial for both of these persons. BG 1972 purports
- There are two classes of men: dhira and adhira. Dhira means those who are not agitated, they know things as they are. So adhira means those who are uncontrolled

- There is a class of men known as arya-samaja who say that they accept the original Vedas only. The motive of these people is to give their own interpretation. According to Caitanya, such interpretations are not to be accepted. They are simply not Vedic
- There is a class of men who are called svapaca. Svapaca means dog-eaters. So the dog-eater is called candala, pancama
- There is a class of men who are interested in administration and in ruling others. In the Vedic system these martially spirited men are called ksatriyas

- There is no frustration for any of these four classes of men (who approach God); each is endowed with the desired result of his worship
- There is no ideal class of men. All fourth class, fifth class, tenth class

- There should be a class of men, very intelligent class of men in the society who are discussing about the Absolute Truth and they will inform others, "This is Absolute Truth, my dear friends, my dear..." Should do it like this
- There should be an ideal class of men who are bona fide brahmanas, and they should be given all protection
- There will be certain class of men foolish, and there will be certain class of men who are intelligent. So the foolish man has to take intelligence from the intelligent man. This is perpetually truth in this material world

- These atheist class of men, who defy the authority of Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, they'll meet Krsna. When? At the time of death, when Krsna will take everything, his body, his society, his country, his family, his bank balance, his house

- These class of men, sinful men, rascal, lowest of the mankind, whose knowledge has been taken away by maya, and demon - these classes of men will never surrender to God
- These classes of men (duskrtinah), they cannot surrender to Krsna, because they have to suffer for their sinful activities. So they cannot surrender
- These four classes of men (brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya, sudra) are already there according to nature, but it is the government's duty to see that all four of these classes follow the principles of their varnas methodically
- These rascals have no brain, and they are passing as scientist, politician, philosopher - all rascals, tenth-class men
- These things (Drinking tea, drinking wine, smoking, meat-eating, Prostitution) should be taken care of - at least a class of men must be ideal for people, others will see. And the training should go on, just like we are doing
- These two classes of men, one is known as demigods, or servants of God, and another is called the servants of maya. Both of them are servants. Nobody is master. That is not possible
- They (a class of men who are not very authorized) imagine that they have become associates of the Lord simply by thinking of themselves like that. This external behavior is not at all according to the regulative principles
- They (a Pratyaksavadi) want to see everything direct, experience everything directly. This class of men says that "Can you show me God?" But this is not first-class knowledge
- They (atheist class of men) are very educated. - Mayayapahrta-jnana: "Their knowledge has been taken away by the illusory energy." Why? Asuri-bhavam asritah: - Because they have taken to the philosophy of atheism

- They (the lowest class of men (adhama)) give the argument of ghatakasa-patakasa, in which the body is compared to a pot with the sky within and the sky without
- They usually plunge into the subject matter of the rasa dance, which is misunderstood by the foolish class of men. Some of them take this to be immoral, while others try to cover it up by their own stupid interpretations
- They want to establish that everyone can create his own laws or his own religious path. Without tracing out the beginning of the existence of these two classes, we can take it for granted that some of the living entities revolted against the laws of God
- This (reluctant to accept Krsna as the Supreme Absolute Truth) is partially due to their (class of men with demoniac mentality) poor fund of knowledge & partially due to their stubborn obstinacy, which results from various misdeeds in the past & present
- This is the duty of the mercantile class of men: to improve agriculture, to give protection to the cows, krsi-go-raksya. And vanijyam. And if you have got excess food, you can trade, vanijyam. This is the business
- This is the necessity of society: a class of men should be Krsna conscious. Otherwise the society is doomed; it is going to hell. And, when such rascals are at the head of the government, how can there be peace? How can you expect peace in a dog's society

- Transcendental qualities, as revealed through the devotional service of the Lord, are distinct from the mundane qualities of ignorance, passion and goodness. Such qualities are not attainable by the nondevotee class of men

- Two classes of men, however, will never be interested in hearing the message of Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam - those who are determined to commit suicide and those determined to kill cows and other animals for the satisfaction of their own tongues
U
- Unfortunately the impersonalists or the atheistic class of men consider Krsna to be an ordinary man like themselves, and so they deride Him. This is condemned in the Bhagavad-gita by the Lord Himself when He says, avajananti mam mudhah
- Unfortunately, this Bhagavad-gita has been misused in so many ways by the so-called scholars and swamis. The impersonalist class, or atheist class of men, they have interpreted Bhagavad-gita in their own way
- United Nation, they should keep a class of men who should act as brain. Then it will be all right. Without brain, simply legs and hands working, no direction, that is not very good
- Unscrupulous deviation from the real meaning of the Vedanta-sutra has created a class of men who by word jugglery try to derive various indirect meanings from the Vedic literatures, especially the Bhagavad-gita
W
- We actually see that although there are so many hospitals and other foundations and institutions for the poor, according to the three modes of material nature a class of poor men is always destined to continue
- We are elevating persons from the lowest level to the highest level. That we are actually doing. So these four classes of men exist, but by education, by training, the lowest class of men can be elevated to the highest class. That is our movement
- We are not in a position financially to distribute foodstuff for the poor class of men. They may take shelter of some charitable institution. At the present moment, we are not in a position to make charities but for the devotees we can sacrifice anything
- We are opening so many centers all over the world - we have already 102 centers - just to give opportunity to all classes of men to associate with devotees and develop your love for God. This is the purpose. And we have no other purpose
- We are simple, because we are not very educated; but we take the words of Krsna. Krsna says that only these classes of men (do not surrender). What? Duskrtinah
- We are training engineer, similarly, a class of men, those who are very intelligent, they should be trained up as brahmana. They should be trained up how to speak truth any circumstance. Even to the enemy he will speak truth. This requires training
- We do not know why the pasandis of the present day protest that we are deteriorating the Hindu religion by spreading Krsna consciousness all over the world and claiming all classes of men to the highest standard of Vaisnavism
