- If by our karma, or activities, we are fit to take birth in a good family in human or demigod society, we shall do so, but if our activities are low like those of animals, we shall have to take birth in a family of animals. That is the force of karma
- If by our karma, we are fit for taking birth in a good family, then I will get my birth in good family or in the human society or demigod society. But if my activities are lower grade like animals, then I will have to take birth in the animal family
- If even a fallen candidate is given a chance to take birth in a respectable and noble family, one can hardly imagine the status of one who has achieved success

- Kamsa addressed his sister and brother-in-law (Devaki and Vasudeva) as maha-bhagau because although he killed their ordinary children, the goddess Durga took birth from them
- Kamsa had taken birth as Kalanemi, and now he was obliged to kill his own sons. This was a mystery
- Kamsa immediately got up from bed, thinking, "Here is Kala, the supreme time factor, which has taken birth to kill me!" Thus overwhelmed, Kamsa, his hair scattered on his head, at once approached the place where the child had been born - SB 10.4.3

- King Satyavrata was illuminated with all Vedic knowledge by the mercy of Lord Visnu, and in this period he has now taken birth as Vaivasvata Manu, the son of the sun-god
- Krsna actually took birth from the womb of Devaki, but just after His birth He was transferred to the home of mother Yasoda. Devaki could not even have Krsna suck her breast
- Krsna has no obligation that He has to take His birth in a particular family or particular country. He has no such obligation. But to glorify a certain family or certain person because he is devotee, therefore He has taken birth

- Krsna is the master of nature, and we are servants of nature. Therefore Kuntidevi says, kecid ahuh: "Someone may say that the unborn has taken birth." It may appear that He has taken birth just like us, but in fact He has not
- Krsna officially takes birth as the son of Devaki and Vasudeva, but in His childhood He enjoys the company of Mother Yasoda and Nanda Maharaja. This is Krsna's pastime

- Krsna says, janma karma ca me divyam: (BG 4.9) "One must understand My transcendental birth and activities." Kuntidevi has this understanding. She knows that although to some fools Krsna appears to take birth, in fact He is unborn
- Krsna takes birth. There is Janmastami. So if anyone tries to understand why the Aja, the Unborn, takes birth, janma karma . . . And God, Krsna, who has nothing to do . . . that is the Vedic information. Na tasya karyam karanam ca vidyate

- Living entity has no birth, and he is also eternal. It is only the body with which the living entity identifies that takes birth
- Lord Brahma also dies and takes birth. From Vedic literatures we understand that Lord Brahma took birth from the lotus flower generated from the navel of Visnu

- Maharaja Pariksit was more than that because he had been a great devotee of the Lord since his previous birth, and as such he took his birth in an imperial family of the Kurus, and especially that of the Pandavas
- Maharaja Pariksit was not only a great ksatriya emperor, but also a great devotee of the Lord. Thus he cannot take his birth at any inauspicious moment
- Maitreya said: I have heard that after giving up the body she had received from Daksa, Daksayani (his daughter) took her birth in the kingdom of the Himalayas. She was born as the daughter of Mena. I heard this from authoritative sources
- Material opulence means to take birth in high family, janma. Janma means high parentage. Then . . . janmaisvarya, and wealthy, great riches

- Narada Muni said: Among all the attractions of material enjoyment, the attraction of riches bewilders one's intelligence more than having beautiful bodily features, taking birth in an aristocratic family, and being learned - SB 10.10.8
- Nilambara Cakravarti (the grandfather of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu) then did an astrological calculation and said that in that very month, taking advantage of an auspicious moment, the child would take birth
- Nityo sasvato yam na jayate na mriyate va kadacit. The soul is eternal. Soul is eternal and soul does not take birth. The body, we get a new body, that is called birth. And when this body is annihilated, that is called death

- O demigods, these demoniac soldiers have taken birth uselessly. Indeed, they have come from the bodies of their mothers exactly like stool. What is the benefit of killing such enemies from behind while they are running in fear?
- O great hero (Kamsa), one who takes birth is sure to die, for death is born with the body. One may die today or after hundreds of years, but death is sure for every living entity - SB 10.1.38
- O impudent one, my dear son, now take birth in a low, sinful family of demons so that you will not commit such an offense again toward exalted, saintly persons in this world
- O Kamsa, you fool, what will be the use of killing me (Durga)? The SPG Krsna, who has been your enemy from the very beginning & who will certainly kill you, has already taken His birth somewhere else. Do not unnecessarily kill other children - SB 10.4.12
- O Madhusudana, because of Your appearance, I (Devaki) am becoming more and more anxious in fear of Kamsa. Therefore, please arrange for that sinful Kamsa to be unable to understand that You have taken birth from my womb - SB 10.3.29
- On account of richness one may fall down, but if one takes birth in a Vaisnava family there is no more fall down. He makes progress further and further. In this way he is allowed again go back to home, back to Godhead

- One cannot say that the living entity (jiva) takes birth or is created, for such a statement is against the injunction of the Vedas
- One child, one living entity, takes birth in the womb of a human being, and that child is being killed by the conspiration of the mother and the doctor. This is going on

- One who cannot execute this yoga process completely cent per cent, he is given next birth a chance to take birth in a rich family or to get birth in a very pure family
- One who has by chance taken his birth in the holy land of Bharatavarsa can render the supreme benefit to others, after he himself has become enlightened by self-realization
- One who has taken birth in the holy place of this Bharata-varsa, it is huge duty: make his life perfect and do welfare activities for others. This is India's business
- One who has taken birth in the land of Bharata-bhumi, India, should take full advantage of his birth. He should become completely well versed in the knowledge of the Vedas and spiritual culture & should distribute the experience of KC all over the world
- One who has taken birth in the land of Bharata-varsa has a full opportunity to study the direct instructions given by Krsna in Bhagavad-gita and thus finally decide what to do in his human form of life
- One who has taken his birth as a human being in the land of India (Bharata-varsa) should make his life successful & work for the benefit of all other people
- One who has taken his birth as a human being in the land of India (Bharata-varsa) should make his life successful and work for the benefit of all other people
- One who has taken his birth is sure to die, and after death one is sure to take birth again. Therefore, in the unavoidable discharge of your (Arjuna) duty, you should not lament
- One who is carrying pious activity with him is given a chance to take his birth in a rich or pious family, and one who is carrying impious activity is given a chance to take birth in a lower, poor family
- One who is subject to death cannot measure the glories of the SPG, Trivikrama, Lord Visnu, any more than he can count the number of atoms on the entire planet earth. No one, whether born already or destined to take birth, is able to do this
- One who takes birth in a pious family or in a brahminical family often becomes very puffed up and proud, thinking, - I am a brahmana; I am a pious man
- One who takes birth in the land of Bharata-varsa by virtue of his past pious activities gets full facility to develop the human form of life

- Ordinary birth is made by the father and the mother. That father and mother is there even in animal life. So to take birth from father and mother is not very important
- Ordinary man takes his birth and stay here for some time, and then he goes away - no more, no trace of that particular man's activities. He's lost in the whirlpool of this material ocean

- People jeer at Krsna because they are envious of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Their destiny is certainly to take birth after birth in the species of atheistic and demoniac life. BG 1972 purports
- Perhaps Kamsa will die before my (Vasudeva's) sons take birth, or, since he is already destined to die at the hands of my son, one of my sons may kill him - SB 10.1.49-50

- Praja means one who has taken birth in the state, and this includes both men and animals. Any living being who takes birth in a state has the primary right to live under the protection of the king

- Vallabhacarya took his birth in the community of Bella-nati in the year 1400 Sakabda Era (A.D. 1478). According to some people, Vallabha Bhattacarya's father took sannyasa before Vallabha's birth, and he returned home to take Vallabhacarya as his son
- Vasudeva thought "In my home, although I am imprisoned, the Supreme Personality of Godhead has taken birth. How many millions and millions of times should I be prepared to observe this auspicious ceremony!"
- Vasudeva's fourth point of wonder upon seeing his extraordinary son: the Supreme Personality of Godhead was Vasudeva's worshipable Deity yet had taken birth as his son
- Vidura was undoubtedly a highly elevated and pious soul, otherwise he would not have taken his birth in the Kaurava family. To have high parentage, to possess wealth, to be highly learned and to have great personal beauty are all due to past pious acts
- Vrtrasura said: All living entities who have taken birth in this material world must die. Surely, no one in this world has found any means to be saved from death. Even providence has not provided a means to escape it

- We are compelled to take birth because of Krsna's external, material energy, but Krsna is not controlled by the maya, or energy, of anyone else, and therefore He does not take birth in such a condition
- We are compelled to take birth. Krsna does not take birth in such condition. Atma-mayaya. Because maya is under the control of Krsna. So how maya can control Krsna? One who thinks that Krsna is also like us, controlled by maya, they are called mudhas
