- It is up to you to reestablish their (unfortunate peoples) lost relationship with Krsna by being sincere to preach the message of Krsna purely by yourself following the instructions of the Lord and his bona-fide representative, the spiritual master
- It was Krsna who in the beginning instructed Brahma in Vedic knowledge and who disseminated Vedic knowledge in the past. BG 1972 purports
J
- Just as it is recorded that Lord Jesus Christ said that the first commandment is that one should love God with all his heart, and soul and mind. Similarly Krsna instructs that everyone should surrender unto Him in Love
- Just before the beginning of Kali-yuga - or, in other words, at the end of Dvapara-yuga - Lord Sri Krsna appeared and left His instructions in the form of Bhagavad-gita, in which He asked all living entities to surrender unto Him
K
- Kapiladeva is an incarnation of Krsna, and He gave instructions to His mother, Devahuti. We must distinguish between the two Kapilas. One Kapila is this Bhagavan Kapila, and the other Kapila is the atheist Kapila
- King Yudhisthira, who was much aggrieved, could not be convinced, despite instructions by great sages headed by Vyasa and the Lord Krsna Himself, the performer of superhuman feats, and despite all historical evidence
- Krsna advises Arjuna that "You also become an ideal man, that you become a fighter for the cause of God. Then you become the ideal man. Your principle will be followed by others." And that is what I want and therefore I am instructing you

- Krsna consciousness means that you act according to the instruction given by Krsna

- Krsna demands the surrender of a sinful man, and Krsna’s representative gives the same instructions
- Krsna did not like to instruct the confidential system of yoga to any so-called impersonalist or so-called Vedantist. Arjuna was ordinary householder
- Krsna does not force that "You must do this." He can give you instruction. Just like Krsna gives instruction, sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja (BG 18.66). Now it is my independence
- Krsna especially selected Arjuna for instruction in spiritual knowledge because Arjuna happened to be a great devotee and confidential friend. Similarly, great personalities also speak to the advanced, not to sudras, vaisyas, women or unintelligent men
- Krsna gives everyone full independence-whatever one likes - but His ultimate instruction we find in the Bhagavad-gita: man should give up all other engagements and fully surrender unto Him. That will make man happy. BG 1972 purports
- Krsna gives His instruction directly to an associate like Arjuna, just so that the people in general may take advantage of this spiritual knowledge

- Krsna has instructed us to think of Him when drinking water. This is not very difficult. Krsna also tells us to think of Him when we see sunlight in the morning. Why do we say, "Can you show me God?" God is showing us Himself

- Krsna instructed Brahma, so Brahma is one of the gurus. So Brahma-sampradaya there is. Our this Gaudiya-sampradaya belongs to that Brahma-sampradaya. In this way there is Ramanuja-sampradaya. This sampradaya comes from the goddess of fortune, Laksmiji
- Krsna instructs in Bhagavad-gita (BG 18.66): Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear
- Krsna is always merciful and He comes Himself, He leaves behind instruction like the Bhagavad Gita, etc. and He sends His representative, the Spiritual Master. In this way the merciful propaganda is going on
- Krsna is giving so much opportunity, but he will not accept. Therefore mudha. And naradhamah. Naradhamah, lowest of the mankind. This instruction can be taken in this human form of life
- Krsna is giving the instruction, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. What business you have got to poke your nose and give interpretation? Are you bigger than Krsna

- Krsna is instructing Himself, about Himself. So why there should be any doubt? There cannot be any doubt. God is explaining Himself about Him. This is called bhakti-yoga

- Krsna is jagad-guru, and one who teaches the instruction of Krsna as it is, on behalf of Krsna, may be accepted as jagad-guru
- Krsna is perfect. If we take lessons from Krsna, instruction from Krsna, then we get perfect knowledge. That is the process of studying Bhagavad-gita. If you accept Krsna as ordinary human being, then we are befooled
- Krsna is present through His words and through His representative. Therefore we advise everyone to accept Krsna's instructions in Bhagavad-gita and to surrender to His bona fide representative
- Krsna is ready to give you instruction. The spiritual master is ready. Why should you do at your whims, and do something wrong and go to hell?
- Krsna is ready. He is coming to give you instruction. Simply you have to follow; then everything will be all right
- Krsna is sarvatma. He is situated in everyone's heart as friend. He is the real friend. He is giving me advice. He is within, conscience, or good instruction, counsel
- Krsna is so intelligent - varieties of fruit, varieties of flowers, varieties of grain, varieties of brain. That is enjoyment. So, take instruction from Krsna
- Krsna is so merciful that simply by aiming His instructions at Arjuna, He has given protection to the whole world
- Krsna is the first teacher of this Krsna philosophy. So we are taking it, carrying the same instruction

- Krsna is there already, just like friend. Krsna is always ready to give us instruction so that we can get out of this miserable condition of life

- Krsna tells Arjuna at the beginning of the Fourth Chapter: I (Krsna) instructed this imperishable science of yoga to the sun-god, Vivasvan, and Vivasvan instructed it to Manu, the father of mankind, and Manu in turn instructed it to Iksvaku - BG 4.1
- Krsna therefore instructs: "Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear." (BG 18.66) The word sarva-papebhyah means "from all sinful activities."
- Krsna took the position of guru, and He began to instruct. Tam uvaca hrsikesah. Hrsikesa..., Krsna's another name is Hrsikesa. Hrsikesa means hrsika isa. Hrsika means the senses, and isa, the master
- Krsna tried to make Arjuna understand that he was not his body. This instruction was not for Arjuna exclusively, but for everyone
- Krsna's direct instruction is there: Bhagavad-gita. But you have to learn it through the disciplic succession, otherwise you will misunderstand it
- Krsna's final instruction in Bhagavad-gita is to surrender everything to Him. We can sacrifice our life, wealth and intelligence, and this is called yajna. Everyone has some intelligence, and everyone uses his intelligence in one way or another
- Krsna's instruction is there. It is open to everyone. It is not only open to us. Everyone. Bhagavad-gita. It is widely-read literature in the world. But unfortunately, they have been misinterpreted
- Krsna's instructions in Bhagavad-gita are accepted as final because He does not possess a material body

- Krsna's upadesa is to everyone that everyone should give up all nonsense type of occupation

- Krsna, the SPG, personally appeared and left His instructions for the benefit of all human society, but fools & rascals unfortunately think of Him as an ordinary human being and twist the instructions of Bhagavad-gita for the satisfaction of their senses

- Krsna, when He appeared on this planet, He, last instruction was that, You just surrender to Me, and after giving up all your mental speculation, so-called religious system . . . This is real religious system
L
- Leadership is already there - Krsna. Just like Arjuna is learning from Krsna. So if you learn from Krsna you become perfect leader. But we do not take Krsna's instruction. We manufacture our own ideas. That is failure
- Less intelligent persons do not agree to this great instruction of the Lord, as ill luck would have it, but one who is actually intelligent catches up this sublime instruction and is immensely benefited
- Like Arjuna, we should also accept Krsna as the guru who can instruct us in how to get relief from our perplexed position. So Krsna is the guru not only for Arjuna, but for everyone
- Lord Caitanya advised everyone to spread the word of Krsna. He advised, All of you become spiritual masters. Your duty is simply to talk to whomever you meet of Krsna or of the instructions given by Krsna
- Lord Caitanya does not give the information about the spirit soul that is already described in Bhagavad-gita. Rather, He begins from the point where Krsna ended His instruction

- Lord Krsna instructed Arjuna in the Bhagavad-gita because He found Arjuna to be a devotee and friend. Without such qualifications, one cannot enter into the mystery of the Bhagavad-gita

- Lord Krsna says in His instruction in Bhagavad-gita that this material world is duhkhalayam, full of material conditions. Vi means visesa, "specifically," and nita means "brought in"

- Lord Sri Krsna instructed Uddhava that by following the injunctions of the social and spiritual orders of human society one can satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Lord Visnu, or Lord Krsna, instructs a devotee who constantly engages in His service how to approach Him at the end of his material body
M
- Mahajanas, great personalities, what they have done, you cannot imitate them. You have to follow them. You have to follow the instruction of Krsna or His representative, but you cannot imitate them. Then you'll fall down
- Maharaja Yudhisthira was instructed by Bhismadeva and the infallible Lord (Krsna) also, and therefore he had full knowledge of everything in perfection
- Manu is also mentioned in Bhagavad-gita (BG 4.1), where the Lord says: "I instructed this imperishable science of yoga to the sun-god, Vivasvan, and Vivasvan instructed it to Manu, the father of mankind, and Manu in turn instructed it to Iksvaku"
- Manu: The Manu mentioned in this verse as the father of Iksvaku is the seventh Manu, of the name Vaivasvata Manu, the son of sun-god Vivasvan, to whom Lord Krsna instructed the teachings of Bhagavad-gita prior to His teaching them to Arjuna
- My dear Vidura, now I am mad for want of the pleasure of seeing Him, and just to mitigate this I am now proceeding to Badarikasrama in the Himalayas for association, as I have been instructed by Him
- My intelligence is bewildered by Your equivocal instructions. Therefore, please tell me decisively what is most beneficial for me. BG 3.2 - 1972
N
- Narada also says to Yudhisthira, "My dear King, it is Lord Krsna, known as Mukunda, who is the eternal protector of the Pandavas and the Yadus. He is also your spiritual master and instructor in every respect. He is the only worshipable God for you"
- Next he (Bilvamangala Thakura, in the beginning of Krsna-karnamrta) offers his respects to his initiating spiritual master, Somagiri, and then to the Supreme Personality of Godhead (Krsna), who was also his instructing spiritual master
- Nondevotees never care to take any instruction from the Lord, and therefore the Lord is silent in their case, although He witnesses all their activities and awards them the necessary results, good or bad
- Not only the gopis but anyone who follows these instructions of Krsna is immediately freed from the jiva-kosa imprisonment
- Not only the Pandavas but everyone who sincerely accepts the instructions of Krsna can understand the Supreme Personality of Godhead as He is
- Now I (Arjuna) am attracted to those instructions imparted to me by the Personality of Godhead (Govinda) because they are impregnated with instructions for relieving the burning heart in all circumstances of time and space
- Now I am confused about my duty and have lost all composure because of weakness. In this condition I am asking You to tell me clearly what is best for me. Now I am Your disciple, and a soul surrendered unto You. Please instruct me. BG 2.7 - 1972
- Now you are in doubt about whether a guru is needed. Yes, a guru is needed, but you have to go to a real guru. That is the instruction given by Krsna in the Bhagavad-gita
- Nrga said, "Lord Krsna, who is always engaged in purifying the conditioned living entities, gave instruction not only to His family members & the inhabitants of Dvaraka but to all the members of human society. After this, the Lord entered His palace"
O
- Of course when we accept Krishna's instructions perfectly we become automatically perfectly religious person. Therefore Krishna consciousness movement is not a sentimental fanaticism of so-called religion
- One may also argue that since Krsna is the supreme authority, His activities should be followed. In answer to this argument, Sukadeva Gosvami has very clearly said that the isvara, or supreme controller, may sometimes violate His own instructions
- One may say, "Krsna is no longer present, so how can I surrender to Him?" Krsna is no longer present? How can you say that? Krsna's instruction is there - Bhagavad-gita. How can you say that Krsna is not present
- One must sacrifice everything to realize Krsna, just as Arjuna did. He did not want to kill his family members, but when he understood that these family members were impediments to Krsna realization, he accepted the instruction of Krsna. BG 1972 purports
- One must use all these facilities to cross over the ocean of nescience - human form of body as a boat, the spiritual master as the captain, the instruction of Krsna as a favorable breeze
- One should act very diligently, under the expert guidance of a devotee of Lord Krsna, or under the direct instruction of Lord Krsna Himself (under whom Arjuna had the opportunity to work). BG 1972 purports
- One should conduct his social, political and religious affairs according to His instructions. We are spreading the Krsna consciousness movement to try to establish a society the way that Krsna wants it. This is the meaning of Krsna consciousness
- One should simply follow the instructions of Krsna and surrender unto Him. To do this, of course, one needs very good intelligence, which may be awakened after many, many births through good association with devotees & the practice of Krsna consciousness
- One should simply surrender unto the feet of God to make a solution to all miseries of life. That is the instruction of Krsna directly in the Bhagavad-gita, and of Srimad-Bhagavatam by Brahma, the supreme father of all living beings
- One should stay at home, chant the Hare Krsna mantra and preach the instructions of Krsna as they are given in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam
- One should try to follow the instructions of Krsna exactly and thus become fully eligible to be promoted to the kingdom of God (tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti so'rjuna) - BG 4.9
- One who has reached the point of surrendering to the instructions of Krsna (mam eva ye prapadyante) is liberated, free from krsna-maya
- One who has taken birth in the land of Bharata-varsa has a full opportunity to study the direct instructions given by Krsna in Bhagavad-gita and thus finally decide what to do in his human form of life
- One who is carrying this message (that Krsna is the supreme guru and we have to take instruction from Him to get benefited), he is also authorized
- One who is constantly engaged in Krsna's service, to him He gives intelligence, not to the rascals. Krsna is there, but - even in the heart of the pig or dog - but He does not give any instruction to the pig and dog
- One who is sincerely engaged in the service of the Lord with love and faith can talk with Krsna and receive instructions by which he can speedily return home, back to Godhead
- Only scarcity is Krsna consciousness. Only scarcity. Otherwise there is no scarcity. Everything is full. And if you take the instruction of Krsna you will be happy immediately. You can make the whole world happy
- Our desires cannot be satisfied by illusory thoughts and plans; rather, we have to follow the instructions of Lord Krsna: sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja (BG 18.66). Then we shall be happy
- Our mission is simply to propagate Krsna's instructions. This is Krsna consciousness movement. We don't manufacture anything
- Our only business is how to implement the instruction of Krsna, the rascals may understand and be happy. That is our mission
- Our only business is to spread Krishna Consciousness to the best of our possibility, and Krishna has given us discrimination and judgment. So, Krishna is within you, you chant and ask Him, Krishna and He will give you proper instruction
- Our process of knowledge is very easy. Krsna's instruction, Bhagavad-gita, is the principal book of knowledge given by the adi-purusa Himself, the Supreme primeval person, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is indeed the perfect person
- Our real business is to get out and enter into the Kingdom of God. In Bhagavad-gita Krsna gives information of this kingdom and also gives instructions about His position and our position - of what He is and what we are
R
- Ramananda quoted Lord Krsna's injunction in Bhagavad-gita: "Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear" - BG 18.66
- Rascals will not do this, but will simply manufacture some philosophy or other. There is actually no difficulty because Krsna's instructions are there, and Krsna Himself is there
- Real guru is he who instructs what Krsna has said. It is not that you maufacture your teaching. No. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu. There is no need of manufacturing. The instruction is already there. You have simply to say, "This is this." That's all
- Reconnecting with Krsna is called bhakti-yoga, and Krsna comes to instruct us in this supreme yoga. In essence, He says, - Just revive your connection with Me, you rascal
- Representative of Krsna is he who simply repeats the instruction of Krsna, does not say anything nonsense
S
- Sa kaleneha mahata yogo nastah parantapa: My dear Arjuna, oh, you are the great hero. Now, that Bhagavad-gita, the instruction which I (Krsna) imparted to the sun-god, was coming by disciplic succession, now it is lost
- Sandipani muni continued, "You (Krsna and Balarama) are above all blessing, yet it is my duty to bless You. I therefore give You the benediction that whatever You speak will remain as eternally fresh as the instructions of the Vedas"
- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya has explained bhakti-yoga as vairagya-vidya-nija-bhakti-yoga (CC Madhya 6.254). Bhakti-yoga begins when we accept Krsna's instructions - Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me
- Significant in this verse (SB 7.15.45) are the words jnanasim acyuta-balah. Jnanasim, the sword of knowledge, is given by Krsna, and when one serves the guru and Krsna in order to hold the sword of Krsna's instructions, Balarama gives one strength
- Simple meaning is that if Krsna instructed the sun-god, Vivasvan, then He went there as He comes here. That is natural conclusion
- Simply by following the instructions imparted by Lord Krsna or Lord Kapila, one can obtain the highest benefit, even today
- Simply by raising one's staunch faith in Krsna and His instructions, one can understand reality without a doubt - asamsayam samagram mam
- Simply by understanding Krsna and His instructions, after giving up this body one can return home, back to Godhead. Even if there is some falldown, practice of Krsna consciousness never goes in vain
- Simply prepare yourself how to repeat Krsna's instructions very nicely, without any malinterpretation
- Simply prepare yourself how to repeat Krsna's instructions very nicely. Suppose you have got now ten thousand. We shall expand to hundred thousand. That is required. Then hundred thousand to million, and million to ten million
- So accept Krsna as the supreme guru and follow His instruction and try to convince others. "Others" means even your family members. That is success of life
- So in this sense the real guru is Krsna. Krsna is guru - not only for Arjuna, for everyone. So if we take instruction from Krsna and abide by that order, instruction, then our life is successful. That is our mission
- So Krsna has a plan, a big plan to deliver them. Personally He comes. Sometimes He sends His very confidential devotee. Sometimes He comes Himself. Sometimes He leaves instructions like Bhagavad-gita
- So Krsna's upadesa is Bhagavad-gita. He's directly giving instruction. So one who is spreading krsna-upadesa, simply repeat what is said by Krsna, then you become acarya. Not difficult at all
- So under the circumstances, it is out of Krsna's kindness that making Arjuna as a target of His instruction, Bhagavad-gita, He has given us this valuable instruction. We should accept it as it is
- So we should understand that we have got a separate business, real business. That is called self-realization, that "I am not this body." This is self-realization. That is being instructed by Krsna in the beginning, that "You are not this body"
- Some may protest that Krsna incited Arjuna to fight, which is immoral, but the reality of the situation is clearly stated: Bhagavad-gita is the supreme instruction in morality. BG 1972 purports
- Some people say that Arjuna was fortunate to have seen Krsna face to face and take instructions from Him, but Krsna can be seen immediately, provided one has the eyes to see
- Sometimes foolish people argue that since Krsna is not present at the moment, one cannot take direct instructions from Him
- Sometimes He leaves instructions like those of Bhagavad-gita. Krsna's incarnation appears everywhere, and He appears among animals, men, sages, and even aquatics (tiryan-naradisu yadahsu (SB 1.2.34)). For example, Krsna even appeared as a fish incarnation
- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu (instructed): yare dekha, tare kaha 'krsna'-upadesa (CC Madhya 7.128). In other words, one is advised not to accept a guru who does not follow the path of instruction given by Lord Krsna

- Sukadeva Gosvami informed the King that Uddhava, being instructed by SPG, who is the source of all Vedic knowledge & the SM of the three worlds, reached the pilgrimage site of Badarikasrama & engaged himself there in trance to satisfy the Lord
- Sukadeva Gosvami said: After instructing His father and mother (Vasudeva and Devaki), the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna, remained silent - SB 10.3.46

T
- Take this principle, Bhagavad-gita as it is, the instruction of Gita, instruction of Krsna, and try to follow. It will be successful not only in India, all over the world. That is my practical experience
- That is the instruction of Krsna. Don't be attracted by the temporary material benefits. Just try for permanent, eternal benefit. Go back to home, back to Godhead
- The animal does not know that there is soul. A dog thinks, "I am this body." Therefore Krsna instructs first this thing. Everyone is acting on the conception of body as self
