- Pariksit was destined to give up his body at the end of seven days, and thus he decided to continue remembering the Lord by His association with the topics of Srimad-Bhagavatam, and thus to quit his body in full consciousness of the presence of the Lord
- People are taking so much exercise just to become very strong and stout. But nature will not allow you. However stout and strong you may be, you have to die. You have to give up this body
- People may say, "A karmi is dying and bhakta is dying. What is the benefit?" No. He's not dying, but he is dying or giving up this body for living forever. And the nondevotees, he is dying to accept another body. That is the difference
- Pralayantam means at the time of death, when we give up this body. Upasritah. Then we get a similar body next life. That is, I mean to say, arranged by the nature's law

- Rascals, being controlled by mental speculation, make huge arrangements by which to enjoy life temporarily, but they must give up the body at the time of death, when everything is taken away by Krsna's external energy
- Regarding liberation, it is stated in Bhagavad-gita (BG 4.9): tyaktva deham punar janma naiti. Liberation means that after giving up this body one does not have to accept another material body

- That is the ultimate perfectional goal of the living entity. After giving up the present material body, the mystic devotee goes to that transcendental abode and never comes back

- Uddhava continued, "If at the time of death a person can fix his pure mind upon Krsna even for a moment, after giving up his material body he becomes eligible to appear in his original, spiritual body"
- Ultimately such activities end in death. Materialists do not consider that after giving up the body they may become embodied as lower animals, plants or trees
- Unless one is KC, nobody can escape the cycle of birth and death. Nobody can. This is the only process if you want to stop. After giving up this body. You get immediately transferred to the spiritual world, & you get your eternal, blissful knowledge life
- Upon seeing the Visnudutas, Ajamila gave up his material body at Hardwar on the bank of the Ganges. He regained his original spiritual body, which was a body appropriate for an associate of the Lord

- We have accepted a body, but we will not be allowed to remain in that body permanently. We will have to give it up and accept another, and then another and another. What is this business
- We have to give up this body, any circumstances. That's a fact. Then such person who has become fully aware of Krsna, tyaktva deham, giving up this body, tyaktva deham punar janma naiti (BG 4.9), he does not take any more birth with another material body
- We have to give up this body, willingly or unwillingly. A day will come when you have to submit to the laws of nature and give up this body

- You (Sanatana Gosvami) should know that one cannot attain Krsna simply by giving up the body. Krsna is attainable by devotional service. There is no other means for attaining Him
- You are giving up this body, as soon as you take to Krsna consciousness, as soon as you become a devotee of Krsna, you become a candidate, pass candidate for going back to home, back to Godhead immediately
- You give up this body, and I will give you another body, a king's body or a demigod's body, or you will live for one thousand years or one million years. - So perhaps we may agree that, but we are not agreeable to give up this body immediately
- You read this book very carefully and try to understand Krsna. And as soon as you understand thoroughly Krsna, then tyaktva . . . you have to give up this body. That's a fact
- You will give up your body because of the powerful time factor, but the glories of your activities will be sung in the upper planetary systems, and being fully freed from all bondage, you will return home, back to Godhead
