- A devotee of Krsna's, like Arjuna, is undoubtedly above any misunderstanding of the transcendental position of Krsna. BG 1972 purports

- Duryodhana, after praising the prowess of Bhisma, further considered that others might think that they had been considered less important, so in his usual diplomatic way, he tried to adjust the situation in the above words (in BG 1.11). BG 1972 purports

- Enjoyment is real life. Enjoyment. That enjoyment, not this material world, the sex. No. Above this. Transcendental. That we find information in Krsna consciousness
- Even a third-class devotee is in the transcendental position, above those who are trying for liberation by speculation or by other methods
- Even above Brahma there are many other living beings with individual capacities. The Personality of Godhead Himself is also a living being and is as much an individual as the other living beings
- Even if we do not commit any intentional sins, we have to commit the above five kinds of sin (by itching, by rubbing, by starting a fire, by pouring water from a pot and by cleaning the house), without a shadow of doubt

- Generally people are aware of four principal goals of life - religiosity (dharma), economic development (artha), sense gratification (kama) and ultimately liberation (moksa) - but devotional service is situated on the platform above liberation
- God cannot be partial. Everyone is God's son, so how can God favor one son above another? That is not possible
- God is called all-powerful, and in the verse quoted above (BG 7.26), His omnipotence is explained. Krsna has no birth, and He is eternal

- He (Vasudeva Datta) was far, far above philanthropists, philosophers and fruitive actors. He was the most exalted personality to ever show mercy to the conditioned souls. This is not an exaggeration of his transcendental qualities. It is perfectly true
- He could also understand the transcendental religious principles, which are above the modes of material nature and which concern the relationship between the living being and the Supreme Personality of Godhead

- In order to approach to the spiritual world one should become above this duality, above this duality. This duality means the intermixture of the modes of material nature, traigunya

- In the above two verses of Rupa Gosvami there are some metaphorical analogies, which indirectly condemn the association of materialistic society, friendship and love
- In the above verse (BG. 7.10) the word bijam means seed, and that seed is proclaimed to be eternal (sanatanam). One may see a huge tree, but what is the origin of this tree? It is the seed, and that seed is eternal
- In the above-quoted verse from Bhagavad-gita, the words daivim prakrtim refer to the control of the internal potency, or pleasure potency, of the Supreme Personality of Godhead

- Kesava Kasmiri was very proud of his literary career; he was far above the first lessons of grammar, and so he thought the position of Nimai Pandita not at all comparable to his own
- Khatvanga Maharaja was not a materialist. A materialist is always attached to wife, children, home, property and many other things for sense gratification, but, as stated above (in SB 9.9.44), Khatvanga Maharaja was not attached to such things
- Knowledge of the spiritual sky far above this material sky and its paraphernalia can be known only by dint of devotional service, or bhakti-yoga
- Krsna consciousness is a type of morality which is above social meaning. It is transcendental. Social means guided by the three modes of material nature. But Krsna's order is above, transcendental
- Krsna is advising Arjuna that either goodness or passion or ignorance, after all, they are activities of this material world. You have to come above, transcend this position of goodness also. So goodness is not qualification for spiritual advancement

- Krsna knows that unless Arjuna becomes affected family-wise, how Bhagavad-gita will be there? Therefore although Gudakesa, Arjuna, is above darkness, still, by the will of Krsna, Hrsikesa, he played just like ordinary man, affected with family affection
- Krsna quarreled with Radharani, & all the gopis hid themselves in a cluster of white lotus flowers. They submerged their bodies up to their necks in the water. Only their faces floated above the surface, & the faces were indistinguishable from the lotuses
- Krsna told Arjuna: The Vedas mainly deal with the subject of the three modes of material nature. Rise above these modes, O Arjuna. Be transcendental to all of them
- Krsna's service is transcendental, above good and bad. So that is called real knowledge. And if one is fortunate enough to understand this knowledge, then immediately he becomes detached to these material pious and impious activities

- Less intelligent students of either of the above schools sometimes argue in favor of their own respective realization
- Life in this material world is simply a shadow of that (spiritual) life. In the Fifteenth Chapter of Bhagavad-gita this material world is likened to a banyan tree with its roots above and branches below. This means that it is like a shadow
- Like a man fallen in the ocean, the only survival is... If somebody goes and picks him just one inch above the water, he feels immediately relieved. Immediately. So as soon as we are fixed up in Krsna consciousness, the immediate relief

- Lord Krsna and Balarama, the reservoir of all knowledge, exhibited Their perfect understanding of all the arts and sciences mentioned above. Then They offered to serve Their teacher by awarding him anything he desired
- Lord Krsna therefore instructs us that an acarya is above criticism. A neophyte devotee should not consider himself to be on the same plane as the acarya
- Lord Siva holds almost all the powers of Lord Visnu, and he is also above the qualities of the living entity, but he is not exactly like Visnu, just as yogurt, although transformed milk, is not exactly like milk
- Lord Siva was so afraid of him that his body trembled, and he fled from the land to the sky and from the sky to other planets, until he reached the limits of the universe, above the higher planetary systems
- Lord Sri Ananta is worshiped by all the uncontaminated devotees mentioned above - Lord Brahma, Lord Siva, the four Kumaras (Sanaka, Sanatana, Sanandana and Sanat-kumara), Vyasadeva, Sukadeva Gosvami and Narada
- Lord Sri Krsna, by His plenary parts, should be rendered devotional service, as explained above, is confirmed by this statement

- Maha-bhagavata means he is above the madhyama-adhikari. He does not see anyone nondevotee. He sees everyone devotee
- Maharsi Bhrgu's planet is situated above the Dhruva planet
- Materialistic living entities are very much attracted to the modes of material nature, and therefore they are never perfect, but You are above the jurisdiction of all material conceptions
- Matter interacts with matter, but the soul does not belong to the material world. This means that the soul is above material action and reaction
- May the Lord cover their influence by His own transcendental influence. May Nrsimhadeva protect us in all directions and in all corners, above, below, within and without
- Mercury is described to be similar to Venus, in that it moves sometimes behind the sun, sometimes in front of the sun and sometimes along with it. It is 1,600,000 miles above Venus, or 7,200,000 miles above earth
- Mercury, which is the son of the moon, is 1,600,000 miles above Venus
- Mind is also material, and intelligence is also material, and the false ego, that "I am this material body," that is also material. Above this, the soul, the spirit, that is spiritual
- Modern householders are practiced to different modes of life, namely to rise late and then take bed tea without any sort of cleanliness and without any purificatory practices as mentioned above
- My dear Devi, although the Vedas recommend worship of demigods, the worship of Lord Visnu is topmost. However, above the worship of Lord Visnu is the rendering of service to Vaisnavas, who are related to Lord Visnu

- Neither any sinful nor any virtuous act can bring freedom from the bondage of work, as we have explained above. On the contrary, both sinful and virtuous acts will bind the worker up in the wheel of action and reaction
- Neither of the above forms of the Lord, as just described unto you (Pariksit) from the material angle of vision, is accepted by the pure devotees of the Lord who know Him well
- Nine became preachers of Srimad-Bhagavatam (bhagavata-dharma-darsanah), which means that they were above the categories of ksatriya and brahmana
- Nine sons (of Lord Rsabhadeva) became good preachers of Srimad-Bhagavatam (maha-bhagavatas), and this indicates that they were above the position of brahmanas
- Nirguna means only Visnu is nirguna, above the transcendental, above these material modes of nature. It is accepted by all the authorities. Even Sankaracarya, he says, narayanah parah avyaktat
- Nirvana, the Buddha philosophy, is just above the material conditional life but on the margin of spiritual existence
- Nityananda Prabhu, who was His eternal servitor, believed that there was no need for Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to carry the staff, and to declare to the world that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu was above all regulations, He broke it into three pieces
- No one can destroy the eternal spirit - that is what we need to understand at the present moment. The indestructible spirit is thus above the conception of violence and nonviolence
- No one individual can say, "I am the supreme. No one is above me." Nor can anyone say, - I am the most inferior. No one is below me
- No one is interested in liberation, and bhagavad-bhakti, devotional service to the Lord, is above even liberation. The process of devotional service, Krsna consciousness, is extremely difficult to understand. This will be explained later by Prahlada

- Not only simply reading, but when he realizes what is Brahman, then he is brahmana. Not easy, the stages. This Brahman is impersonal Brahman, and still, you have to go above

- The devotees are above the yogis and the jnanis because pure devotees do not deny the senses of the Lord; they want to satisfy the senses of the Lord
- The devotees are above this material goodness and badness. They are progressive on the path of transcendence, and therefore they have no desire for anything material
- The difference between Prahlada Maharaja and Hiranyakasipu was that Hiranyakasipu wanted to keep Prahlada in mundane attachment whereas Prahlada was above the modes of material nature

- Those who desire to purify their existence must always engage in meditation upon Your lotus feet, as described above. Those who are serious about executing their occupational duties and who want freedom from fear must take to this process of bhakti-yoga
- Thus charity given in the proper place is called sattvika. And above this charity in goodness is transcendental charity, in which everything is sacrificed for the sake of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
