- The word visaya denotes sense gratification. The karmis flatly state that they want sense gratification. The yogis also want sense gratification, but they want it to a higher degree
- The words used against Lord Siva by Daksa can also be understood in a different way, in a good sense. For example, he stated that Siva is yaso-ghna, which means "one who spoils name and fame
- There are clear instructions in Mahabharata and Srimad-Bhagavatam (SB 7.11.32) stating that a person - be he brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya or sudra - should be accepted by his personal qualifications and not by birth
- There are many injunctions in the Padma Purana which state that a highly elevated spiritually advanced devotee of the Lord is always a first-class devotee and is therefore a spiritual master
- There is a passage in Isopanisad similar to a verse found in Srimad-Bhagavatam (SB 8.1.10) which states that whatever one sees in the cosmic manifestation is but the Supreme Lord's energy and is nondifferent from Him
- There is a verse in Srimad-Bhagavatam which states that sometimes to show special favor to His devotees Krsna takes away all one's material opulence. For example, the Pandavas were bereft of their kingdom, although Krsna was present there
- There is a verse in the Skanda Purana which states: My dear Devarsi (Narada), you are glorious, and by your mercy, even the lowest creature, a hunter of animals, also became elevated to the path of devotion & attained transcendental attachment for Krsna
- This mantra states that the instructions of vidya (knowledge) must be acquired from a dhira. A dhira is one who is not disturbed by material illusion. No one can be undisturbed unless he is perfectly spiritually realized

- Vedic literature states that there is nothing superior to the abode of the Supreme Godhead, and that that abode is the ultimate destination. BG 1972 purports
- Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura has stated that the order of the spiritual master is the life and soul of the disciples
- Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura says, saksad-dharitvena samasta-sastrair uktah: all the sastras, the Vedic literatures, state that the spiritual master is to be honored as the SPG. Thus the idea that the spiritual master is as good as God is not bogus

- We cannot apply the nagna-matrka-nyaya formula. This states that if one’s mother was naked in her childhood, she should continue to remain naked, even though she has become the mother of so many children
- We may mention an incident that took place between two of our sannyasis while we were preaching the Hare Krsna maha-mantra in Hyderabad. One of them stated that Hare Rama refers to Sri Balarama, and the other protested that Hare Rama means Lord Rama
- Where it has been stated that the Lord's enemies and devotees attain the same destination, this refers to the ultimate oneness of Brahman and Lord Krsna

- Yamaraja states herein (SB 6.3.20-21) that this religious principle is understandable if one follows the parampara system of Lord Brahma, Lord Siva, the four Kumaras and the other standard authorities
- You do not fear the Vedic injunctions stating that You should not associate with a sudra. You were not contemptuous of my touch, although in the Vedas You are forbidden to associate with sudras
