- A desire to serve the Lord, the supreme predominator, is spiritual or transcendental, and one has to attain this purification of the mind and the senses to get admission into the spiritual kingdom
- A devotee is naturally nonviolent and therefore doesn't have to practice nonviolence separately. Some people seek purification by joining a vegetarian movement, but a devotee is automatically a vegetarian

- I am the servant of the servant of the servant of Krsna - That is purification. Then desire. Then you'll not desire anything except Krsna's service. That is perfection
- "I am touching you just for My purification," the Lord (Caitanya Mahaprabhu) replied (to Sanatana Gosvami), "for you are a great devotee. By your devotional service you can deliver the whole universe and enable everyone to go back to Godhead"
- I may say in this connection that so much difficult process for purifying the atma is very easily done, by chanting this Hare Krsna. Because the sound, this transcendental sound vibration, is nondifferent from Krsna

- The Blessed Lord said: Fearlessness, purification of one's existence, cultivation of spiritual knowledge, charity, self-control-these transcendental qualities, O son of Bharata, belong to godly men endowed with divine nature. BG 16.1-3 - 1972
- The father and mother of Krsna and Balarama wanted Them to remain, specifically for the reformatory function of purification, the sacred thread ceremony
- The Ganges, emanating from the toe of Lord Visnu, purifies the three worlds, the upper, middle and lower planetary systems - SB 10.1.16
- The human life is obtained after many, many millions of births, and it is intended for purification

- The opportunity for this purification is the special feature of human life; in other lives, this is not possible. Such purification can be achieved very easily by radha-krsna-bhajana, devotional service rendered to Radha and Krsna
- The other methods of purification may be helpful to come to this stage of life, but ultimately one has to come to this last point before he attains actual perfection. Bhagavad-gita (BG 7.19) confirms this truth
- The Patanjala system of yoga instructs one on how to control the functions of the body's air in a technical manner so that ultimately all the functions of the air within become favorable for purifying the soul of material attachment. BG 1972 purports
- The purification of the conditioned soul necessitates purification of his consciousness

- Unless it (purification) is attained, the living being, even though fully equipped, cannot be situated in the transcendentally normal stage. Srila Vyasadeva appeared to have lost the clue and therefore felt dissatisfaction

- Vedic rituals, like prescribed sacrifices, are performed for purification of impious activities that were performed in the field of sense gratification. But action in Krsna consciousness is transcendental to the reactions of good or evil work. BG 1972 p
- Vikuksi offered the remnants of the flesh to King Iksvaku, who gave it to Vasistha for purification

- We are hankering after happiness, but happiness cannot be enjoyed so long our existence is not purified. So for purification of our existence we have to undergo tapasya
- We become impure. Therefore we are suffering. That is the. So this impurity can be rectified in this life, this human form of life. Therefore human form of life is meant for purification. Therefore so many scriptures are there, so many teachers are there
