- Indra, who was worshiped in that yajna, came and solaced the baby. "Do not cry," Indra said. Then Indra put his index finger in the baby's mouth and said, "You may drink me"

- One who desires to be beautiful should worship the beautiful residents of the Gandharva planet
- One who diverts his mind to worshiping many demigods to obtain material happiness is considered bereft of intelligence

- The gopis worshiped goddess Katyayani to get Krsna as their husband; similarly Rukmini was thinking of the various types of demigods not for material benefit but in respect to Krsna

- You have made Srivasa Thakura appear to have been worshiping the goddess Bhavani. Simply for this offense, you will have to fall down into hellish life for ten million births
- You'll get all this, nice position, nice wife, nice power, famous... All this material, not spiritual. So to worship any other demigod than Krsna is materialism. That is not spiritualism
- Yudhisthira said, "As You (Krsna) say in the Bhagavad-gita, 'Persons bewildered by material desires worship the demigods.' But my purpose is different"
