- A conditioned soul is bewildered by the Lord's illusory energy (maya). Maya’s business is to keep the conditioned soul forgetful of his real relationship with Krsna

- In this relationship (treating Krsna as one's lover) the Lord is so much attached that He expresses His inability to reciprocate
- Instead of receiving some service from him to the state, the state has got to spend unnecessarily for him. That is a botheration. So those who are in indirect relationship with Krsna, they are botheration. They are simply giving trouble to Krsna
- Instead of wasting our time for economic development, which cannot give us any happiness, if we simply try to revive our eternal relationship with Krsna, we will properly utilize our lives

- Krsna appeared differently to different people according to their different relationships (rasas) with Him. Krsna is the reservoir of all pleasure and all kinds of rasas, both favorable and unfavorable
- Krsna can perfectly reciprocate one's loving propensities in different relationships called mellows, or rasas. Basically there are twelve loving relationships

- Lacking Krsna consciousness, one is only partially related with Krsna and is therefore not in his constitutional position
- Learned scholars have described the impetus of parental love for Krsna, existing in the elderly personalities who are in relation with Him, as follows

- Maharaja Pariksit’s expression of anxiety is explained in this verse. He says, “Let whatever is destined to happen take place. It doesn’t matter. Just let me see that not a moment of my time is wasted without a relationship with Krsna”
- Man and woman should live together as householders in relationship with Krsna, only for the purpose of discharging duties in the service of Krsna

- O Brahma, I shall explain all these truths to you. Since you are a living being (jiva), without My explanation you will not be able to understand your relationship with Me, devotional activity and life's ultimate goal
- Of the four kinds of reciprocation of loving service - dasya, sakhya, vatsalya and madhurya - madhurya is considered the fullest. But the conjugal relationship is further divided into two varieties, namely svakiya and parakiya
- On that friendly platform there are different kinds of laughing and joking conversations. An example of such a friendly relationship with Krsna is described in the Srimad-Bhagavatam when Krsna was once thinking
- On these grounds (Caitanya Mahaprabhu's explaining grammar in relationship to Krsna), Sri Jiva Gosvami later compiled the grammar entitled Hari-namamrta-vyakarana. People in general consider such explanations crazy

- Ramananda Raya explained the gradual process by which pure love for Krsna is developed. He pointed out that the living entity is related to the Supreme Personality of Godhead in one of the relationships just suitable for him
- Ramananda Raya points out that when the relationship with Krsna increases in affection, the mood of fear and the consciousness of the superiority of the Supreme Lord diminish. At this point, the mood of faith increases, & this faith is called friendship
- Rasabhasa occurs when one’s relationship with Krsna is adulterated. There are different types of rasabhasa - first class, second class and third class. The word rasa means “mellow,” and abhasa means a shadow
- Real service is this: Krsna consciousness, to arouse the Krsna con . . . dormant Krsna consciousness in every living entity. Nitya-siddha krsna-bhakti. To make him aroused in relationship with Krsna, that is real service

- Samadhi, trance, can be possible in five different ways in terms of one's relationship. Specifically, the trance of devotees on the stage of neutrality is called mental concentration

- Some of the gopis, they left their sons also and went to Krsna. From material point of view this is immoral. So you'll find in such a way that what is from material point of view immoral, it is the most magnificent morality in relationship with Krsna
- Some way or other, the demon must have had some relationship with Krsna, because these symptoms developed when he heard that Krsna had already killed Kamsa
- Spiritual affection for the Supreme Lord is transcendental in all cases, but the individual devotee has a specific aptitude for a particular relationship, and that relationship is more relishable for him than the others
- Sri Arjuna is one of the typical pure devotees of the Lord reciprocating in the fraternal relationship, and the Lord's dealings with Arjuna are displays of friendship of the highest perfect order
- Sri Bhismadeva is a great devotee of the Lord (Krsna) in the relation of servitorship. Thus his throwing of sharp arrows at the transcendental body of the Lord is as good as the worship of another devotee who throws soft roses upon Him
- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu continued, "Thus one's relationship with the Lord, activities in devotional service, and the attainment of the highest goal of life, love of Godhead, are the subject matters of Srimad-Bhagavatam"

- Sri Sanatana Gosvami asked Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, "Who am I?" In answer, the Lord replied - You are related with Krsna as one and simultaneously different

- Tan-mandira-marjanadau, and again cleansing the temple very nicely everywhere. So this is our process - that we take everything in relationship with Krsna. We don't find that this material energy is false. We don't say
- That is our request, that you are very intelligent boys, American boys. Try to understand Krsna. Try to revive your relationship with Krsna. Then you will be happy; otherwise not
- That which is in relationship to Krsna can never be immoral. To give another example, Lord Krsna in His incarnation as Nrsimha-deva killed Hiranyakasipu, the father of Prahlada Maharaja, while he stood nearby without protesting. Now, is this moral
- The aim is threefold: to control the senses, to purify activities and to link oneself to Krsna in a reciprocal relationship

- The devotees of Krsna, in their loving relationships with Krsna, sometimes forget their own identities; sometimes they think themselves one with Krsna and yet relish still greater transcendental mellow in that way
- The devotees who have a relationship with Krsna are like the swans and cakravaka birds who play in that forest of lotus flowers
- The different stages described above are all in relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Although in all circumstances there exist both the Supreme Personality of Godhead and the living entities
- The diseased condition in which he cannot understand his eternal relationship with Krsna is the contaminated stage, or maya. Since the gopis are on the platform of pure transcendental knowledge, their minds are always filled with Krsna consciousness

- We have got minute quantity of Krsna's qualities because we are minute particles of Krsna, but that is now covered by maya. This maya means . . . when we forget our actual relationship with Krsna, that is called maya, false egotism
- We must understand the meaning of relationships with Krsna. In material world we have many relationships as father, mother, wife or husband. Whatever relationship we find here is but a perverted reflection of the relationship we have with the Supreme Lord
- We should not be puffed up. If we want to make success of our life, then we must revive our eternal relationship with Krsna. That is the movement of Krsna consciousness
- What one should actually want is explained by Kuntidevi. She says, - Let my family relationships cease, but let my relationship with You be confirmed
- What we need to do is to revive this relationship (with Krsna) which has merged into oblivion because the covering and detaching process of the illusory energy, called maya, has fostered temporary forgetfulness

- When one actually comes to understand the Vedanta, he comes to know Krsna and his relationship with Krsna

- When one is freed from all material contaminations, any one of the relationships with Krsna is transcendentally relishable
- When one is fully aware that he does not belong to any family, society, country, is eternally related to Krsna, he then realizes his energy should be employed not in the interests of so-called family, society or country, but in the interests of Krsna
- When one is liberated and discovers his eternal relationship with the Supreme Lord, the Lord Himself becomes the impetus for increasing fraternal love
- When one is mature in devotional service and is a realized soul, he can know his own eternal relationship with Krsna
- When one is not attached to anything but at the same time accepts everything in relation to Krsna, one is rightly situated above possessiveness

- When one is situated in this confidential friendly relationship with Krsna, one shows symptoms of love such as attraction, affection, affinity and attachment

- Yes, you are correct to say that "It is all nectar," everything having relation with Krishna or Lord Chaitanya is nectarine and our literatures in our line of Vaisnava acharyas is so nice that there is no comparison anywhere in the world for it
- You are situated between the material and spiritual potencies. You have a relationship with both the material and the spiritual world; therefore you are called the marginal potency. You are related with Krsna as one and simultaneously different
- You have forgotten your relationship with Krsna. You have made your relationship with your family, so-called family, so-called country, so-called society, and so on, so on, so on, so on. This is all temporary
- You haven't got to restrain yourself completely, but if you dovetail yourself, nirbandhah, when it is in relation with Krsna, then your vairagya, your detachment, is approved
- You keep your intimate relationship with Krsna, it doesn't matter whether you are in family or without family. Just like I have given already example. Arjuna, he is a family man, he is not a sannyasi. But he was prepared to sacrifice everything for Krsna
- You may want Krsna as your lover, or as your son; Krsna as your friend, Krsna as your master, Krsna as the Supreme Sublime. These five different kinds of direct relationships with Krsna are called devotion, or bhakti. They entail no material profit
