- A man engages in sinful activities because he does not know what he did in his past life to get his present materially conditioned body, which is subjected to the threefold miseries
- A small child, he knows that "I shall become like my elder brother. I shall get this body, next body." And these people, they cannot understand that there is next body. That means their civilization is less than a child's civilization
- According to the considerations of Mayavadi fools, the Supreme Personality of Godhead accepts a material body when He appears in the material world
- After giving up the body, one who has acted in that way does not accept another material body, but instead goes back home, back to Godhead

- At that time (of death), whatever one has created in this life is lost, and one must automatically accept a new body by the force of material nature

- Balance time we should save for enhancing our Krsna consciousness, or spiritual consciousness, so that after this body we haven't got to take another material body, but we go back to home, back to Godhead. That should be the motto of human life
- Because he falls down from his real engagement in the service of the Lord, the living entity gets a material body to suffer or try to enjoy in the miserable material conditions of life
- Because we wanted to enjoy. So enjoy, you enjoy with this body, particular body. Either human's body, or dog's body, or cat's body, or demigod's body, you get as you desire. You get a material body and enjoy. This is material life
- Before their (the personal associates of Lord Visnu) liberation to Vaikunthaloka they possessed material bodies, but once they come to Vaikuntha they no longer have them
- Between Brahma and ant, there are millions of other living entities, 8,000,000. They're all imperfect because they have accepted this material body, either Brahma or ant. But your perfection will come when you do not accept this material body
- By absorbing his (the living entity's) mind in material activities he takes material bodies again and again, and although he falsely claims to be very intelligent, in material consciousness he is not at all intelligent

- Either you get a princely body or a dog's body, because you have accepted a material body, therefore you have to suffer. You have to suffer. There is no excuse
- Entangled means for one resultant action we are now, we have got this body. Again we are going to take another material body. So this is a chain of birth and death
- Even in the material nature there is a chance of an independent choice by the living entity, and according to his choice the material energy offers him different varieties of material bodies

- Ghost is also individual. But because the ghost does not get this material body they are invisible. They create disturbance for want of this body
- Ghostly life means one who has misused this life, this body, and by his whims he has killed this body. He becomes ghost. That means he will have to suffer for so many day, then he'll get another material body

- He (a qualified brahmana) can understand what his past life was, why he is in the present body, & how he can obtain liberation from the clutches of maya & not accept another material body. This is all possible when one is situated in the mode of goodness
- He thus remains steadfast and never works to achieve another material body under the influence of the three modes of material nature
- Human beings, animals, birds, etc., are also parts and parcels of the Lord and have different material bodies, but they are not the controlling deities of material affairs

- I think it not befitting an intelligent man to involve himself again in the activities of sense gratification by which he perpetually gets material bodies one after another
- If one offers oblations with faith and devotion - either to the lotus feet of Lord Visnu or to His representative in Pitrloka, Aryama - one's forefathers will attain material bodies to enjoy whatever material enjoyment is due them
- If one thinks, "According to one's previous fruitive actions, one's material body is created by the father and mother, and the same body is annihilated by another agent, as another animal is devoured by a tiger," this is not proper understanding
- If one wants to receive real knowledge from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one can become free from bondage to repeated acceptance of material bodies

- No one can trace out the history of when the conditioned soul first began accepting these material bodies
- Not only does the human being have a material body, but other living entities, such as cats and dogs, also have material bodies
- Now is the time to invoke the mode of goodness of the living entities who have accepted material bodies. The mode of goodness is meant to establish the Supreme Lord's rule, which will maintain the existence of the creation
- Now we have these material bodies, and it is our duty to cultivate them properly. That cultivation is called karma, or work

- O elevated demigods, at the time of death, severe, unbearable pain takes away the consciousness of all living entities who have accepted material bodies
- O King, as small particles of sand sometimes come together and are sometimes separated due to the force of the waves, the living entities who have accepted material bodies sometimes come together and are sometimes separated by the force of time
- O Lord, although the living entities who have accepted material bodies are spiritual and unlimited in number, if they were all-pervading there would be no question of their being under Your control
- On the contrary, he (the devotee of the Lord) will accept any body, material or spiritual, for he wants to serve the Lord. This is real liberation
- One is advised that an intelligent person, instead of being entangled in so-called good & bad fruitive activities, should engage his life in advancing in KC so that instead of accepting another material body he will return home, back to Godhead

- Out of these three, Lord Brahma and Lord Siva accept material bodies but Lord Visnu does not accept a material body. Lord Visnu is therefore known as visuddha-sattva. His existence is completely free from the contamination of the material modes of nature
P
- People who have accepted a temporary, material body are always full of anxieties. One should not, therefore, be very much affected by this material body, but should try to be freed
- Prakrti can give us material bodies, but as spirit souls we are parts and parcels of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is confirmed in BG (15.7): The living entity, being part and parcel of God, is not a product of this material world
S
- Should be our aim, that in this very life we shall make our devotional service so perfect, and we shall try to know Krsna as far as possible, so that Krsna says such devotee does not accept any more material body. He comes back in a spiritual body
- Since the living entities are never destroyed, the annihilation of the material world does not annihilate the existence of the living entities, but until liberation is attained one has to accept one material body after another, again and again
- Since the other living entities have material bodies, the matter merges into matter, and the subtle form of the spirit soul remains within the body of God. The Lord does not sleep, but the ordinary living entities remain asleep until the next creation
- Since the spiritual energy, the living being, who is part and parcel of the Supreme Lord, desires to enjoy this material world, the Lord gives him a chance to accept different types of material bodies and enjoy or suffer in different material conditions
- So long I'll have a pinch of desire for enjoying this material world, I'll have to accept a typical body. This is the law of nature
- So long we'll make program how to become happy materially, your mind being absorbed in material things, not in the spiritual matter, you'll have to accept another body. This is your problem
- So long you continue to accept this material body, there cannot be any happiness. You may try to become happy by constructing big, big skyscraper house and possessing three dozen motorcars, but happiness is not possible
- So long you'll get this material body, you have to suffer. It is meant for suffering. As soon as you get this material body, this body or that body, you have to suffer
- Sukadeva Gosvami replied (to Pariksit Maharaja) that everyone’s atma, or soul, is very, very dear, especially to all living entities who have accepted material bodies. But that atma, the spirit soul, is part and parcel of Krsna

- The activities of those who are conditioned by material nature are taken into account, and in their next life, according to these activities, they are offered different types of material bodies
- The demigods wanted Maharaja Nimi to come to life, but Maharaja Nimi did not want to accept another material body
- The four sinful activities are illicit sex, meat-eating, intoxication and gambling. These are the means by which one gets another material body that is full of miseries
- The function of the human body is to attain freedom from material bondage, but as long as one is fully absorbed in material activities, his mind will be overwhelmed in the whirlpool of matter, and thus he will continue to be encaged in material bodies
- The living entity changes his body as soon as the higher authorities decide on his next body. As long as a living entity is conditioned within this material world, he must take material bodies one after another
- The living entity is contaminated and suffering because he has a material body, but that does not mean that because the Lord is also with him, He also has a material body
- The living entity should know that his only real concern is how to get free from material contact, for by absorbing his mind in material activities he takes material bodies again and again
- The Lord is the father of all living entities because He impregnates material energy with the conditioned souls. The conditioned souls get bodies created by the material energy, whereas the father of the living entities is aloof from the three modes
- The ordinary living entities who are manifested in this material world have bodies created by the material energy
- The result is that instead of attaining an unconditional life of full freedom, the mad conditioned soul is entangled again and again in different types of bondage in material bodies
- The sastra always says that "Don't work in such a way that you have to accept again body after death." That's, that is your business. Not that to accumulate crores and rupees and make a very good bank balance & skyscraper house & 3 or dozens of motorcars
- There are no such differences for Krsna, because His body is full of knowledge. Here we receive material bodies because of a lack of knowledge, but because Krsna, Vasudeva, is full of knowledge, there is no difference between His body and His soul
- There are two kinds of liberated souls having material bodies: the soul liberated by devotional service and the soul liberated by the cultivation of knowledge
- This (sac-cid-ananda-vigraha) is God's constitution. This our constitution. The difference between God and ourself is that God never accepts this material body, but sometimes we, under certain circumstances, we have to accept this material body
- This (stopping samsara) can be done only when one is Krsna conscious, or has achieved the service of the lotus feet of the Lord. Otherwise one must rot in this material world and accept a material body subject to birth, death, old age and disease
- This disease means birth, death, old age and disease. So as soon as you accept this material body, you become subjected to the four laws of material nature
- This is the highest perfection - to give up one’s material body and not accept another but to return home, back to Godhead. It is not that perfection means one’s existence becomes void or zero
- Those who think that the Supreme Lord appears in different forms by accepting a body made of material elements are wrong; their vision is imperfect because they do not understand how the Lord's internal potency works
W
- We are all living beings, but because we have accepted this material body, we are suffering. Now we require this fan. Why? Because feeling some pains on account of heat. That heat is felt by the body, not the soul
- We should work in such a way that we will not get another material body, How can this be done? We simply have to try to understand Krsna
- What is the benefit of going to Krsna? Krsna says, that if you go back to home, back to Godhead, Krsna, then you haven’t got to come again and accept this temporary, material body and suffer. This whole thing is explained in the BG. Read very carefully
- When a devotee gives up his body, the mind does not take him to another material body (tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti (BG 4.9)); rather, Krsna takes the devotee to that place where He is engaged in His pastimes
- When one acts sinfully in this life, he gets a suitable body for the next life. When one again acts sinfully, he takes on another material body. In this way one is continuously under the influence of material nature
- When one is very sinful, he does not get the material body. He lives in the subtle body: mind, intelligence & ego. That is ghostly life. And they display. Because they have no body, one cannot see, but they display so many mischiefs. That is ghostly life
- When the material of the body does not act very nicely, the soul has to take another material condition of body, giving up the present one. The body is changing, but the soul is there
- Where is this training is given that "We are spirit soul. This body is temporary, and the spirit soul business is this, so that spirit soul may be purified, no more he accepts this material body"? Where is that education?

- You cannot get out of it so long you do not stop acceptance of another material body. That is called real liberation, no more accepting material body
- Your this dress is available in the market. And you are also there, so you purchase the dress and put on. Similarly, the different types of bodies are already there. You, according to your desire, accept one type of body, and you appear in that body
