- A devotee is never controlled by false thoughts. He knows his position. Svarupena vyavasthitih (SB 2.10.6). Mukti, liberation, means to be situated in one's own constitutional position. I am a servant

- Liberation entails being situated in one's own position. That is the definition in the Srimad-Bhagavatam: muktir. .. svarupena vyavasthitih (SB 2.10.6). The svarupa, or actual identity of the living entity, is described by Lord Caitanya
- Liberation entails freedom from all false conceptions. It is not that upon liberation one acquires ten hands. In Srimad-Bhagavatam liberation is defined as muktir hitvanyatha-rupam
- Liberation is described in the Srimad-Bhagavatam. The exact Sanskrit word for liberation is mukti. So that is defined in the Srimad-Bhagavatam (2.10.6): muktir hitvanyatha rupam svarupena vyavasthitih

- Piety refers to the process of cleansing the heart. As recommended by Lord Caitanya, one has to cleanse the dust from the mirror of the mind, and then advancement on the path of liberation begins. Here (in SB 4.8.5) also the same process is recommended
- Pure devotees, who take transcendental pleasure in hearing and chanting the glories of God, do not care for any kind of liberation; even if they are offered the five liberations, they refuse to accept them, as stated in the Bhagavatam in the Third Canto

- Regarding persons attached to the impersonal Brahman, Srimad-Bhagavatam says, "My dear Lord, those who think of themselves as liberated by mental speculation are not yet purified of the contamination of material nature"
- Relish Bhagavatam, the mature fruit of the desire tree of Vedic literatures. It emanated from the lips of Sri Sukadeva. Therefore this fruit has become more tasteful, although its nectarean juice was already relishable for all, including liberated souls

- SB 10.1.4 states: Who but the animal-killer or the killer of the soul will not care to hear glorification of the Supreme Personality of Godhead? Such glorification is enjoyed by persons liberated from the contamination of this material world
- SB 10.14.8: One who engages always in Your (God's) devotional service with his mind, words and body, and who always offers obeisances to You is certainly a bona fide candidate for liberation
- SB 2.3.10: "Whether full of all material desires, free from material desires or desiring liberation, a person who has broader intelligence must by all means worship the supreme whole, the Personality of Godhead." This is the duty of a perfect human being

- So if we associate with all these things, sravanam kirtanam visnoh (SB 7.5.23), hearing and chanting about Visnu, then this misconception of life, that "I am purusa," will vanquish. Then you become liberated
- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu continued, "Always discuss Srimad-Bhagavatam and constantly chant the holy name of Lord Krsna. In this way you will be able to attain liberation very easily, and you will be elevated to the enjoyment of love of Godhead"
