- In this Twenty-ninth Chapter, the glories of devotional service are elaborately explained, and the influence of time on the conditioned soul is also described
- In this verse (SB 4.22.27) Svayambhuva Manu seeks to eradicate the last tinge of false ambition in Dhruva by explaining the position of the supreme controller
- In this verse (SB 4.29.70) it is clearly explained that the subtle activities of the mind and intelligence continue due to the sufferings and enjoyments of the living entity's subtle body

- Lord Buddha, for example, was an incarnation, yet he preached atheism: "There is no God." But actually there was a plan behind this, as explained in the Bhagavatam
- Lord Kapila has said that perfect yoga enables one to transcend the platform of material distress & happiness. How this can be done is explained here (in SB 3.25.16): one has to purify his mind & consciousness. This can be done by the bhakti-yoga system

- Maitreya is now explaining about the progeny of the sons of Brahma (SB 4.8.1). Out of the many sons of Brahma, the brahmacari sons headed by Sanaka&Narada did not marry at all & therefore there is no question of narrating the history of their descendants
- Material nature cannot independently become an agent for supplying the material ingredients. This is more clearly explained by Sri Kapiladeva, an incarnation of Godhead, in Srimad-Bhagavatam - SB 3.28.40

- Narada Muni explained to Maharaja Yudhisthira that by entering Krsna's body, Sisupala reentered Vaikunthaloka as the Lord's associate. Everyone had seen this incident
- Narada Muni had spoken of a swan. That swan is explained in this verse. The Vedic literatures vividly describe how to understand the Supreme Lord, the source of all material and spiritual energy. Indeed, they elaborately explain these two energies
- Narada Muni has explained that all paraphernalia of the cosmic universe is but an emanation from the Lord out of His different energies because the Lord has set in motion, by His inconceivable energy, the actions and reactions of the created manifestation
- Narada questioned him that "So far we know, that you are the supreme, but you also sometimes meditate and worship somebody." So in that connection Brahma explained that "We are not supreme. We are all appointed agents"
- Naradaji has therefore explained the nature of unalloyed devotional service by his personal experience in the development of intimacy between the Lord and the living entity by a gradual process of progressive devotional activities

- O King (Pariksit), your questions as to how the universe became manifested from the gigantic form of the Personality of Godhead, as well as other questions, I (Sukadeva) shall answer in detail by explanation of the four verses already mentioned
- O King Pariksit, now I (Sukadeva Gosvami) have completely described how Diti performed this ceremony and had good children - the Maruts - and a happy life. I have tried to explain this to you as elaborately as possible
- Obeisances unto the Personality of Godhead, Vasudeva, directly indicate Lord Sri Krsna, who is the divine son of Vasudeva and Devaki. This fact will be more explicitly explained in the text of this work
- One can be liberated from all adverse circumstances simply by seriously engaging in devotional service. How this devotional service develops and becomes mature is explained here - in SB 3.27.21

- Pariksit Maharaja further explains in this verse (SB 6.1.10) that kvacit nivartate abhadrat. Abhadra means unclean, wrong things. Bhadra means right thing. Bhadra and abhadra. In India bhadra means gentleman and abhadra means uncivilized man
- Parvati might naturally have inquired how devotees become so exalted. Therefore this verse (SB 6.17.28) explains that they are narayana-para, simply dependent on Narayana
- Practical effectiveness (of chanting) will be explained by Sukadeva Gosvami through the history of Ajamila, who was freed from the hands of the Yamadutas simply because of chanting the holy name of Narayana
- Pranava, or omkara, is the divine substance of all the Vedas. Omkara is further explained in the gayatri mantra exactly as it was explained in Srimad-Bhagavatam
- Preliminary studies of devotional service have already been explained. Now the analytical study of devotional service will be explained by the Lord, who says that by such an analytical study, one becomes freed from the modes of material nature

- Prthu Maharaja has explained in the previous verse (SB 4.21.37) the importance of devotional service for both the rulers and the citizens of the state. Now he explains how one can be steadily fixed in devotional service

- Sati, being the devoted wife of Lord Siva, offers all kinds of material opulences to the worshipers of Lord Siva. This fact is explained in the Srimad-Bhagavatam, in the Tenth Canto
- Satyam param dhimahi. If one is after truth, he'll appreciate truth wherever it is. Every point, from any angle of vision, those who are searching after truth, everything is explained - primarily in the BG, and elaborately in the Srimad-Bhagavatam
- So actually Vedanta-sutra is explained in the Srimad-Bhagavatam, and if we take Srimad-Bhagavatam as the real explanation of Vedanta-sutra, then we understand what is Vedanta
- So this is already explained in the purport that woman's nature is very mild, and man's nature very strong
- So-called yogis advertise that one can go on enjoying as one likes and simultaneously become a yogi, but this is totally unauthorized. It is very clearly explained here (in SB 3.28.4) that one must observe celibacy
- Soma is far different from the liquors made for demoniac people, as explained in the next verse - SB 4.18.15
- Somebody may question that "If he (Brahma) is original creature, then how he got this knowledge of creating?" So that is explained: tene brahma hrda. Hrda: "from the heart God instructed." God is situated in everyone's heart. That is called Paramatma
- Sometimes we see a picture of Lord Siva engaged in meditation. This verse (SB 5.17.16) explains that Lord Siva is always meditating upon Lord Sankarsana in trance. Lord Siva is in charge of the destruction of the material world
- Sri Narada Muni said: After first offering my obeisances unto Lord Krsna, the protector of the religious principles of all living entities, let me explain the principles of the eternal religious system, of which I have heard from the mouth of Narayana
- Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura gives the following explanation in his Tathya. The word sravana refers to giving aural reception to the holy name and descriptions of the Lord's form, qualities, entourage and pastimes as explained in SB, BG etc
- Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura explains in this regard (SB 8.19.32) that the very word harih means - one who takes away
- Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura explains that the word samajayata means "fully exhibited." In all His (Krsna's) activities while present on the earth, the Lord exhibited detachment

- Srimad-Bhagavatam explains this truth in the verse under discussion: Lord Vasudeva is one without a second, but because He is all-powerful, He can expand Himself as well as display His omnipotencies
- Srimad-Bhagavatam gives the actual meaning of the Vedanta-sutra. The author of the Vedanta-sutra is Vyasadeva, and he himself has explained those aphorisms in the form of Srimad-Bhagavatam
- Srimad-Bhagavatam has listed the avataras, the plenary expansions of the purusa, and Lord Krsna appears among them. But the Bhagavatam further explains Lord Krsna’s specific position as the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Srimad-Bhagavatam is a commentary on Vedanta-sutra. Vedanta-sutra explains that the Supreme is the source of everything, and the nature of that source is explained in Srimad-Bhagavatam (1.1.1): janmady asya yato 'nvayad itaratas carthesv abhijnah svarat
- Srimad-Bhagavatam is also presented for the same purpose, and this will be explained more specifically later in the text
- Srimad-Bhagavatam is auspicious even for the nondevotees because it explains that even the nondevotees hovering under the spell of material energy can be delivered from such clutches if they hear the narration with devotion and attention

- That (there is no impediment in devotional service) he has very nicely explained, quoting many authoritative statement from scriptures. And another thing: it is a fact that nobody can check krsna-bhakti. It is transcendental; it is not material
- That a devotee of the Lord is the only perfect living being is explained herein (SB 1.19.16) by Maharaja Pariksit. A devotee of the Lord is no one's enemy, although there may be many enemies of a devotee
- That is explained in Bhagavata, that those who are isvara, those who are empowered, they will do anything, but we cannot imitate
