- Cleansing the dirty things within the core of the heart, that "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am brahmana," "I am sannyasi," "I am grhastha," "I am white," "I am black." So these dirty things can be cleansed by chanting this Hare Krsna mantra

- First of all one should know that I am neither American nor Englishman nor Indian. I am spirit soul. Then further education can be possible. So we teach from the Bhagavad-gita this principle first, the basic principle of spiritual education

- He becomes purified. Sarvopadhi means he doesn't... Sarvopadhi. He tries to eliminate his upadhi, his designation, that "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am this," "I am that"
- He's (the dog) thinking "I am dog," you are thinking "Englishman," I am thinking "Indian." There is no difference. So if we keep people in darkness of dog's mentality, and declare we are advanced in civilization, most misguiding

- I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Chinese," "I am Russian," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am Christian . . ." These are all designations due to this body. But actually I am neither American, neither Indian, nor Christian
- I am going to the assembly, United Nation, but I am keeping myself as American or as German, as Russian or Indian that, "My nation shall be happy in this way." They are keeping themself in that limited area
- I am neither Indian nor European. You are not Indian, European. We are giving more stress on the designation. That is the mistake of modern civilization
- I am pure soul, but I am identifying falsely. For example, I am identifying with the land, thinking that I am Indian, or that I am American. This is called ahankara
- I am spirit soul. I am thinking, "I am American." I am thinking, "I am Indian." This is anyatha rupam. That is not the real conception of life
- I am thinking that "I am this American," I am thinking, "I am this Indian," or I am thinking this & that, & creating my desires accordingly. "It is my duty because I am American." "It is my duty because I am Russian. So let us fight." So this is going on
- I am thinking, "I am Indian, and my senses are Indian senses, and therefore they should be used for India." In ignorance, one does not know that the senses belong to Krsna
- I am thinking, "I am Indian," you are thinking you are German, and the dog is thinking, "I am dog," and cat is thinking, "I am cat." So this bodily consciousness, bodily concept of life, will keep us conditioned within the material nature
- I am thinking, "I am Indian," you are thinking, "Australian." Another is thinking, "American" or "Englishman." These divisions have come very lately, say about three thousand, four thousand years ago. Before that, this planet was one
- I am thinking, "I am this body." I am thinking, "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Russian," "I am Pakistani." These are upadhis. But if you practice devotional service, Krsna consciousness, then you become free from this contamination of designation
- I have got little taste of krsna-bhakti. So I have no distinction that "This is Indian. This is American. This is African." Everyone, I am giving this hari-nama. This is sarva-bhuta-hite ratah, no distinction
- I'm not this any product of this material world, but I am thinking, "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Englishman," "I am German," "I am Chinaman," "I am Russian," or "I am cats and dogs," these so many. These are all designations
- If a man thinks that he is this body - he is American or Indian or Frenchman or German or Hindu or Muslim, with this bodily concept of life - so, according to Vedic understanding, this conception is animal conception. So this is called illusion
- If the body, the American body or Indian body, or good name and big name, it has no consciousness, then what is the value? No value
- If there is happiness, why the young boys and girls become hippies? No. Happiness is different. So long you have got this material body, there is no question of happiness, either this American body or Indian body. That they do not know
- If this consciousness (thinking in terms of Krsna) is spread, so simple, then they will lose designation, there will be no more distinction, "Oh, I am Chinese," "I am Russian," "I am American," "I am Indian," I am this - I am that
- If we become God conscious, if we become Krsna conscious, this fighting will be over. "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Russian," "I am Chinese," these all nonsense things will be over
- If we become God conscious, Krsna conscious, the fighting in the world will come to an end. "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Russian," "I am Chinese" - all these nonsensical designations will be finished
- If we do not understand our position, if we remain in the same category, bodily concept of life, then we are missing the chance. After all, you have to change this body. It is not permanent settlement that you shall remain Indian, American. No
- If you are actually self-realized soul, in the light of God, then your treatment will be equal to all living entities. Not that "He is animal, he is man, he is black, he is white, he's this, he's Indian, he's American, he's Chinese." No
- If you are still thinking that you are this material body - you are Indian, you are American, you are brahmana, you are sudra, you are white, you are black - then you are in the dog's consciousness, not Krsna consciousness. That is to be learned
- If you feel, "I am an American," that is a kind of disease; if you feel, "I am an Indian," that is also a disease; if you feel, "I am a cat," that is a disease
- Impure means we are thinking in bodily concept of life. "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am Christian," "I am white," "I am black," these are all designations of the body. We have to transcend the position of the body
- In the conditioned state we are identifying, "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am human being," "I am this," "I am that," "I am white," "I am black." These are all designation. Actually, this is not self-realization
- In this life one may think that he is very happy being an American, Indian, Englishman or German, but in the next life one has to accept another body among 8,400,000 species
- It is by dress we are fighting. "You are Englishman," "I am German," "I am this," "I am Indian," "I am that," "I am man," "I am woman." So many fighting on account of this dress. So when you become dressless, that is the spiritual platform
- It is very difficult to eradicate all the false designations from oneself. For example, I am Indian. It is not very easy to immediately think that I am not Indian, but pure soul

- Ma ya: "What you are accepting, that is false." This is called maya. So we are accepting, "I am this body," "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Christian," "I am Hindu," "I am black," "I am white," "I am thin," "I am fat." So this is maya
- Material standard is no intelligence. Material standard is that "I am of this body." "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am fox," "I am dog," "I am man." This is material understanding. Spiritual understanding is beyond that
- Most dangerous of the dirty things within our hearts is this misidentification of the body as the self. Under the influence of this misunderstanding, one thinks, "I am this body. I am an Englishman. I am an Indian. I am an American. I am Hindu, Muslim"
- Muci means cobbler, dealing with skin. "I am this skin." "I am white skin," "I am black skin," "I am American skin," "I am Indian skin" - this understanding means muci. And muci is skin expert. "This is cow skin. This is goat skin. That is lamb skin"
- Mukti is not very wonderful thing. It is difference of consciousness. Everyone is conscious materially: "I am this body," "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am this," - I am that

- One must be freed from all designations-"I am American," "I am Indian," "I am this," "I am that"-and come to the platform of understanding that Krsna is the original master and we are His eternal servants
- One must forget these designations (Indian, American, Hindu, Muslim, Christian and so on) and use this consciousness only for the service of Krsna. Therefore if one takes advantage of the Krsna consciousness movement, his life is certainly successful
- One who accepts this body as the self is in the line of the animals. The animals . . . the dogs are thinking, "I am dog," and he's barking. So similarly, if I think, "I am Indian," "I am American," where is the difference between the dog and me?
- One's consciousness is the cause of material bondage, but if this consciousness is purified by bhakti-yoga, one can then understand the falsity of his upadhi, his designations as Indian, American, Hindu, Muslim, Christian and so on
- Our consciousness is polluted. Somebody is thinking, "I am Indian," somebody is thinking, "I am American," and they are fighting one another. Just like Russia, America, Vietnam: everyone is thinking - I am Vietnamese, I am Russian, I am American

- See the world around, why are there so many wars? I am Pakistani, I am Indian, I am American, I am Russian. All these are coats. The world is foolish that is why there is great need for Krsna consciousness movement, everyone is foolish, to educate them
- Situated on the vehicle given by material nature and reminded by the Supersoul within the heart, the living entity struggles all over the universe to fulfill his plans, thinking, "I am a brahmana," "I am a ksatriya," "I am an American," "I am an Indian,"
- So long we keep ourself as: I am French man," "I am German man," "I am English man," "I am Indian man," or so many there are nationalities, there cannot be any fraternity, equality. We have come to the platform of Krsna consciousness, or brahma-bhutah
- So what is that false ahankara? The false ahankara is that "I am this body." This is false ahankara: "I am this body." "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am brahmana," "I am ksatriya," "I am sannyasi," "I am brahmacari," and so on, so on, so on, so on
- So what is this idea of nation? "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Hindustani," "I am Pakistani." Bodily concept of life. But sastra rejects immediately. If anyone is under the bodily conception of life, he is . . . sa eva go-kharah
- Some of us are thinking that "I am American," some are thinking "We are Indian," some are thinking "German," or this or that - "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am Christian," "I am white," "I am black." In so many ways our consciousness is polluted
- Soul is not black, white, yellow. Soul is spirit. So one has to realize that "I am spirit soul. I am not Indian nor American nor Englishman nor German nor white nor black. This is my bodily description. I am not this body"

- The difficulty is that we are quarreling amongst ourself. I am thinking Indian. Somebody's thinking "I am an American." Somebody's thinking "I'm Australian." "You cannot come here. You, I cannot allow you to come to my country"
- The karmi's activity is on upadhi. "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am Christian." With this upadhi, we are acting. But bhakti means without upadhi. Sarvopadhi-virnirmuktam. Activity without upadhi
- The Krsna consciousness movement means they want to educate people, rectifying the basic principle of misconception: "I am body," "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am fat," "I am thin," "I am black," "I am white" - all bodily conception
- The leaders are misguiding us by identification with this body. There is fight always. "I am American." "I am Indian." "I am Russian." "I am Pakistani." "I am Hindustani." And there is fight. Advancement of civilization means advancement of fighting
- The present civilization is based on the bodily concept of life: "I am this body." "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am black," "I am white," and so on. The whole civilization is going on on this bodily concept of life
- The present position is misunderstanding, that "I am product of this material nature," "I am this body." "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am brahmana," "I am ksatriya," and so on
- The whole material world is going on on the basis of this false conception that "I am this body." And because I am this body, therefore "I am American," "I am Indian." So this is false ego
- The whole world is fighting: "I am Indian," "American," "I am Pakistani," "I am Hindustani," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am brahmana." Dehatma-buddhih. So one has to realize that "I am not this body." Kevalam prakrteh param
- The whole world is going on under the illusion that "I am this body." Therefore there is no peace. I am thinking that I am Indian, you are thinking that you are American, and a Chinese man is thinking that he is Chinese
- They think, "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am German," and so on. But what is all this? These are simply bogus names and bogus forms with no value
- They're all thinking like that, "I am this body." They're asses. And the whole world is suffering by thinking like that: "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Russian," "I am this," "I am that." That's all. We must know how to think
- This bodily concept of life itself is mistake. I am not this body, but I am thinking I am this body. Actually I am not this body, and still I am thinking that I am Indian, you are thinking you are American. This is mistake. This beginning is mistake
- This body is a machine that we are accepting as self - "I am this machine." Whole world is accepting - I am this body, I am Hindu, I am Muslim, Christian, I am American, Indian, I am black, I am white. No. Therefore Krsna says: You are not this body
- This is animal conception of life, "I am this body." "I am Indian," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am American," "I am Christian," "I am Hindu," like that. This is all bodily conception. Sa eva go-kharah. This conception of life is animal conception
- This is not our real identification. I am thinking, "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am African," "I am Russian," "I am brahmin," "I am ksatriya," "I am sudra," I am Andhra-pradesh, I am Bengali
- This Krsna consciousness movement is purifying everyone. This bodily concept of life, "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," they are forgetting. Just like in our society there are devotees from many religious sects, many countries
- Today I have got this body, Indian; tomorrow I may get American. Tomorrow means next birth. Next birth another, next birth another, next birth another - it is going on, going on. There is no stoppage, this transmigration of the soul

- Unfortunately, at the present moment, this is accepted knowledge, bodily concept, "I am . . ." "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am brahmana," "I am ksatriya." This is going on
- Unfortunately, these people are under the identification of this body: "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am white," "I am black," "I am learned," "I am fool," "I am rich," "I am poor." These designations are our ignorance
- Upadhi means designation. Neither I am Indian nor American nor cat nor dog. But as soon as I get a particular type of body, I think that I am cat, I am dog, I am Indian, I am America, I am black, I am white. This is our position

- We are fighting. "I am Indian. You are Englishman. You are this. You are that." Simply we are fighting, like cats and dogs, they fight. So that is ajnana
- We are identifying ourself with this body: "I am Indian," "I am Hindu," "I am Christian," "I am brahmin," "I am black," "I am white." These are all designations. This is not my real identity. My real identity is aham brahmasmi, "I am spirit soul."
- We are impure because we are compact in designations: Oh, I am Christian-I am Hindu-I am American-I am Indian-I am white-I am black. These are all designations. If you simply know that "I am servant of Krsna. I am servant of God," then you are purified
- We are now covered by this designation dress: "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Englishman," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," So many, we have created dress. Just like innumerable quantity or quality of dresses, similarly, these are all dresses
- We are trying to push on this movement, change the consciousness. Now our consciousness is polluted, muddy. Somebody is thinking, "I am Indian," somebody is thinking, "I am American," and they are fighting one another
- We are under false consciousness. I am thinking, "I am Indian," you are thinking you are German, and the dog is thinking, "I am dog". So this bodily consciousness, bodily concept of life, will keep us conditioned within the material nature
- We are under the grip of material nature, and she is offering different kinds of bodies: "Now, my dear sir, you accept this body." We accept an American body, an Indian body, a Chinese body, a cat's body or a dog's body
- We have no principle striction that one is Indian, one is America, one is African, or one is Hindu, one is Christian, one is Mohammedan. We invite everyone to understand the philosophy and reform the activities of life. This is our mission
- We have no such conception that "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am brahmin" or "I am sudra," or "I am black," "I am white." We all are the same. We are eternal servant of Krsna, or God. That is our position
- We have nothing to do with this material world. But we have been trained by the illusory energy in such a way that we are thinking, "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am this," "I am that," "I am brahmana," "I am sudra," - all these illusions
- We should not remain in ignorance like cats and dogs, thinking, "I am this body, I am American, I am Indian, I am brahmana, I am ksatriya, I am Hindu, I am Muslim," and so on. These are all bodily designations
- What is this "Chinese," "American," and "Indian"? It is an illusion based on the body. That's all
- What is this national? "I am American. My first interest . . ." "I am Australian," "I am Indian," "I am Pakistani." They are barking in the United Nation, that's all. This is the benefit. Bark & bark and die like dog, that's all. Better chant Hare Krsna
- Why should we identify ourself as animal - "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am this"? It is wrong type of civilization

- You don't be misled by the proposition of the so-called blind leaders that you are this body. The leaders are misguiding us by identification with this body. There is fight always, "I am American," "I am Indian," I am Russian, I am Pakistani
- You have to change your desire. That is KC movement. Sarvopadhi-vinirmuktam. You have to understand that - I am not this body. I am neither Indian, nor American, nor Russian. I am part and parcel of God. Therefore my business is to serve God
