- A little quantity of gold captivates foolish people, and thus the yogi gets many followers, who are willing to accept such a tiny person as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Such a yogi may also advertise himself as Bhagavan
- A person can be so addressed (as bhagavan) only if he is a great personality who exhibits extraordinary and uncommon features or who attains the greatest goal after his disappearance or who knows the difference between knowledge and ignorance

- Krsna had sixteen thousand wives. But not like us, having more than wife: one wife is crying and another wife is enjoying. No. He also expanded Himself in sixteen thousand forms. Every wife is enjoying the husband. That is Bhagavan
- Krsna is sac-cid-ananda-vigraha (Bs. 5.1), being, knowledge and bliss, with form. Impersonal understanding is understanding of the sat feature. Understanding Krsna in full is understanding all of His features. The ananda feature is realized in Bhagavan

- Lord Brahma is described as bhagavan adi-purusah. The reason he is called bhagavan is that he fully represents the Supreme Personality of Godhead and is the first-born creature in this universe

- Maitreya is addressed as bhagavan because he was spiritually far advanced. He was a personal friend of Dvaipayana Vyasadeva, a literary incarnation of the Lord

- One has to learn the art of seeing the Absolute Truth in three features - as Bhagavan, as Paramatma and as impersonal Brahman

- Persons who are led by the material conception of life do not know that the aim of life is realization of the Absolute Truth, Visnu, or Bhagavan, and they are captivated by the external features of the material world. BG 1972 purports

- Sai Baba, he also says, "I am Bhagavan." Therefore he's bogus. How you can say yourself that you are Bhagavan, God? What is your power?
- Show something, Bhagavan. They simply cheap Bhagavan, and rascal present as cheap Bhagavan, and rascal accept them as Bhagavan. This is not good. Try to find out the actual Bhagavan. That is Krsna

- So this Brahman realization is the first step, and the Paramatma realization is the second step, and Bhagavan realization, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, that is the ultimate stage
- Sometimes a devotee gradually comes to the stage of Bhagavan realization, realization of the Supreme Person, after having attained the lower stages of realization - impersonal Brahman realization and localized Paramatma realization
- Sometimes a sincere servant and devotee of the Lord is also called bhagavan. Sri Narada is called bhagavan, and Lord Siva and Vyasadeva are also sometimes called bhagavan
- Sometimes great personalities - such as demigods like Lord Brahma, Narada or Lord Siva - are also addressed as bhagavan because they carry out the purpose of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
