- A dog thinks that he is the body. He cannot think that he is not the body, he is the soul. That is not possible. Because he is born, he is entrapped in such a body, they cannot think that the animal, the cat and dog, is different from the body

- Since everyone is thinking in this way (I am this body), everyone fears bodily destruction. When there was an earthquake in Los Angeles, everyone ran out their houses screaming. Everyone was terrified, thinking, - Now death is coming
- So what is that false ahankara? The false ahankara is that "I am this body." This is false ahankara: "I am this body." "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am brahmana," "I am ksatriya," "I am sannyasi," "I am brahmacari," and so on, so on, so on, so on
- Somebody's thinking, "I am Russian." Somebody's thinking, "I am somebody else." So everyone is thinking that "I am this body." This is one standard, or one platform

- The analysis of man is perfect when he is searching after his constitutional position, "What I am? Am I this body? Why I have come to this world?" This inquisitiveness required. That is the special prerogative of human being

- The whole thing, our progress of spiritual life, our progress of spiritual realization, is checked only because we have got some misunderstanding of our identification. The identification is that "I am this body." That's all

- They think this body, "I'm this body, so I'll be hurt, I'll die, I'll this," and so on and so many. Simply anxiety: "How I shall protect my body? How I shall protect my bodily relationship?" everything in connection with the body. Everything asat
- They think, "I have got this material body, I have got some senses, let me enjoy the senses to the best possibility." But you cannot do it, because it is false, it is not real. Real senses, unless you feel sensation
- They're all thinking like that, "I am this body." They're asses. And the whole world is suffering by thinking like that: "I am American," "I am Indian," "I am Russian," "I am this," "I am that." That's all. We must know how to think
- This attachment increases (anything relationship to this body). The material attachment involves thinking, - I am this body, and because I have this body in a particular place, that is my country. And that is going on
- This bodily concept of life itself is mistake. I am not this body, but I am thinking I am this body. Actually I am not this body, and still I am thinking that I am Indian, you are thinking you are American. This is mistake. This beginning is mistake
- This body is a machine that we are accepting as self - "I am this machine." Whole world is accepting - I am this body, I am Hindu, I am Muslim, Christian, I am American, Indian, I am black, I am white. No. Therefore Krsna says: You are not this body

- Those whose intelligence is fixed in the bodily conception, who think, "I am this body," are fit food for dogs and jackals. The Supreme Lord never bestows His mercy upon such people
- To think of this body that "I am this body," that is required to the dog, to the man. When one understands that "I am not this body; I am spirit soul," that is humanity
- Today I have got this body, Indian; tomorrow I may get American. Tomorrow means next birth. Next birth another, next birth another, next birth another - it is going on, going on. There is no stoppage, this transmigration of the soul

- When there is something wrong in the physical body, there is mental disease. That we accept also. But the mental disease is there, basically, that he is thinking that he is body
- Why there is so much fighting? Everyone is thinking, "I am this body." This bodily concept of life is maya, illusion, or ignorance. So the whole process is to drive away the ignorance. Drive away. That is called jnana. We are in the ajnana
