- A devotee in Krsna consciousness, although far away from the Lord's abode, can elevate himself to that abode simply by thinking of Him constantly-by engagement in Krsna consciousness. BG 1972 purports
- A devotee is peaceful because he is fully surrendered to the SPG and thinks of himself as completely helpless; just as a child feels complete peace in depending on the parent, so a devotee is completely peaceful, for he depends on the mercy of the SPG

- The devotee accepts a reversal of his position in life as a benediction by the Lord and consequently offers the Lord more obeisances and prayers, thinking that the punishment is due to his past misdeeds and that the Lord is punishing him very mildly
- The devotee never thinks that he is a great bhakta. Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami, the author of Caitanya-caritamrta, has stated, purisera kita haite muni se laghistha: "I am lower than the worms in stool." (CC Adi 5.205) This is the Vaisnava conception

- Under the direction of the spiritual master the devotees may sell books in Krsna consciousness. But if the devotees think that the energy invested in selling books should be diverted into selling jewelry, that is not a very good idea

- Vaisnava is always thinking how people will be happy. This Krsna consciousness movement is going on just to make people happy
- Vaisnava will always think like that, how people will be happy. Sarve sukhino bhavantu. Vaisnava desire is not exploitation. Vaisnava desire is that - How others will be happy, how they will understand Krsna, how they will get happiness in this life

- We are also astounded upon thinking of whether this movement (KC) will be killed by the asuras or will continue to advance without fear - as Devaki and Vasudeva were thinking if Krsna gets killed by Kamsa, although they knew He could not be killed
- We take Krsna prasada, but while touring, sometimes we have to take some food in a hotel. Because one is a devotee, should he think, "I will not take any foodstuffs from the hotel. I shall starve"? If I starve, then I will be weak & not be able to preach
- Whatever he (a highly advanced devotee) does, whatever he thinks, is for the satisfaction of the Personality of Godhead. Either in the material world or in the spiritual world, his equipoised mind is completely manifested
- Whatever living thing we see is simply a combination of these two energies (superior and inferior). When an advanced devotee thinks of these energies, he immediately understands that they are manifestations of the Supreme Lord
