SB 8.16.49, Translation:

During this period, one should not unnecessarily talk of material subjects or topics of sense gratification, one should be completely free from envy of all living entities, and one should be a pure and simple devotee of Lord Vāsudeva.

CC Antya 3.13, Translation:

Although Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu knew that Dāmodara Paṇḍita was a pure and simple devotee, upon hearing this impudent talk the Lord said, "My dear Dāmodara, what nonsense are you speaking?"

Dāmodara Paṇḍita replied, “You are the independent Personality of Godhead, beyond all criticism.
