- A devotee should always be very kind to the general public in instructing Krsna consciousness because that is the only solution for getting out of the clutches of maya. That is really humanitarian work, for it is the way to show mercy
- A devotee, a mahatma, is good heart. How he is good heart? He sees everyone that "This living entity," especially human being, "he is engrossed in the clutches of maya. He is suffering. Let me try to make him understand Krsna consciousness"

- They (human beings) have no sense of the responsibility of human life. This human form of life is a chance to get out of the clutches of illusory matter. The Vedas are meant for going back to Godhead, going back home
- They (the Mayavadi philosophers) try to explain that when the servant, the living entity, is out of the clutches of maya, he immediately becomes the so-called master again. Such an explanation is never satisfactory
- This (jivas are always under the clutches of maya) is described by Lord Krsna in the Bhagavad-gita (BG 7.14)

- Vidura belonged to the royal family of the Kauravas, and although he knew that all the family members were destroyed at the Battle of Kuruksetra, he nonetheless wanted to see his elder brother, Dhrtarastra, to see if he could deliver him from maya
- Vimukta-maninah means they (impersonalists) are simply falsely thinking that they have surpassed the clutches of maya. Falsely
- Visvanatha explains these words (maya & amayam) to indicate that because the living entity is covered by the disease of illusion, God is always eager to deliver His devotee from the clutches of maya & cure him of the disease caused by the illusory energy

- We falsely think that we are independent, but we are not independent. We are completely under the clutches of maya
- We get a devotee after great endeavour, and we must train such devotee in a nice way so that he may not go back and be at large in the clutches of Maya

- We should always remain in full understanding, that whether our time is being properly utilized in Krsna consciousness. Then we are saved. Otherwise we are under the clutches of maya
- When a great saintly person like Vidura sees his relatives, he desires only to deliver them from the clutches of maya. Vidura thus offered his respectful obeisances to his spiritual master & departed for the city of Hastinapura, kingdom of the Kauravas
- When freed (from the clutches of the external potency, maya), the living entity awakens to Krsna consciousness and engages in devotional service with love and affection

- When the potencies of spiritual pleasure and knowledge are both bestowed upon the conditioned souls, the conditioned souls can escape the clutches of the external potency, maya, which acts as a cover obscuring one's spiritual identity
- Whole instruction is that all sleeping members of the human society, they should take advantage of this Krsna consciousness movement and willingly they should accept. Then there will be immediate effect and everyone will be out of the clutches of maya
- With a strong vow one should chant the holy name of the Lord - Hare Krsna - for thus one will certainly be delivered from the clutches of maya by the grace of Krsna

- Women in general, being very simple at heart, can very easily take to KC, and when they develop love of Krsna they can easily get liberation from the clutches of maya, which are very difficult for even so-called intelligent and learned men to surpass
