- A pure devotee is one who feels He (God) does not possess anything material. A devotee is always happy in possessing the devotional service of the Lord
- A Vaisnava, or worshiper of Lord Visnu, gradually becomes poorer in material possessions because God does not trick His devotees into becoming materially entangled by possessions. Visnu gives His devotees intelligence from within, as Bhagavad-gita says
- According to the Mayavada philosophy, the Supreme Truth, being all-pervasive, does not need a transcendental form. The Mayavadis suppose that since His form is distributed everywhere, He has no form. This is untrue
- Actually, the Lord does not give up His body, which is eternal, but as He can change His body from the form of Visnu to that of an ordinary human child, He can change His body to any form He likes. This does not mean that He gives up His body

- As a pure devotee does not know anything beyond the Lord, so the Lord does not know anything beyond His pure devotee
- As a result of rigid execution of devotional service, a devotee receives all material opulences if these are required; otherwise, the devotee is not interested in material opulences, nor does the Supreme Lord award them

- God does not die, so I also shall not die. That is my position. That is explained in Bhagavad-gita (2.20): na jayate mriyate va kadacit. Describing the soul, Krsna says that the soul is never born (na jayate), and if one is not born how can he die
- God does not fall down. He is eternal. We are also eternal, but because we are very small fragment, sometimes we fall down. Therefore God's another name is Acyuta - "Never falls down." We cyuta, we fall down sometimes
- God does not give you sanction for doing anything criminal. But if we persist to do something criminal, then God gives sanction, "All right, do. Do it at your risk." That is going on
- God does not interfere with our tiny independence. If we want to act according to the order of God, then He will help us

- He (God) can see with His hands and legs. He does not need a particular bodily part to perform a particular action. Angani yasya sakalendriya-vrttimanti (SU): He can do anything He desires with any part of His body, and therefore He is called almighty
- He (God) does not favor either of the unwanted administrators, but by His potential power He creates hostility between such unwanted administrators, as the air creates fire in the forest by the friction of the bamboos
- He (God) does not have to come Himself to destroy demons, for He has many agents; even the external energy, maya, has sufficient strength to kill them. But when He comes to show compassion to His devotees, He kills the nondevotees as a matter of course
- He (God) gives the conditioned souls all facilities for rectifying the activities of the false ego, but He does not interfere with their small independence as parts and parcels of the Lord
- He (God) is asking that you surrender. He is not forcing. God can force you - He is all-powerful - but He doesn't interfere with your independence
- He (God) is called nirvikara, "without activity." He has nothing to do. He is so great that He does not perform action personally, but His energies act. The brahmanas and ksatriyas, and anything that we see, are different energies acting upon one another
- He (Lord Anantadeva) is so large and powerful that this universe rests on one of His hoods just like a drop of water. He does not know where it is

I
- I am not angry. You can beat me with shoes, I am not angry - That is not devotional. You see? But the thing is, a devotee is not angry on his personal account. Just like God also does not become angry on His personal account
- If a devotee approaches the Supreme Personality of Godhead for an immoral or improper purpose, he nonetheless becomes purified; the Lord does not become infected
- If a devotee has a particular motive, the Lord directly or indirectly knows it, and therefore He does not leave the devotee's material desires unfulfilled. These are some of the special favors by the Lord to a devotee
- If a person's heart is always tied to the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord with the rope of love, the Lord does not leave him. Indeed, even if his remembrance is not perfect, he is to be considered a first class devotee
- If God does not do anything for me, then I don't want God. He must be my order-supplier. This is going on. This is going on in the name of religion
- If He (the Lord) were answerable to us concerning why He does something and why He does not, His supremacy would be curtailed

- In the beginning of Srimad-Bhagavatam it is said, satyam param dhimahi (SB 1.1.1). The Vedic mantras say, satyam jnanam anantam and niskalam niskriyam santam niravadyam. God is supreme. Although naturally He does not do anything, He is doing everything
- In the Caitanya-caritamrta it is said that everyone comes before the Lord (Caitanya) & offers Him exalted prayers, but the Lord does not feel as pleased when offered such prayers as He does when a devotee, out of pure love, chastises Him as a subordinate
- In the conditioned stage we impregnate according to the bodily conception - that is, by sexual intercourse - but the Supreme Lord does not need sexual intercourse to impregnate. The impregnation is performed simply by His glance

- Kapiladeva is referred to as Bhagavan, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Bhagavan makes no mistakes. Narayanah paro 'vyaktat: even Sankaracarya says that - Bhagavan, Narayana, does not belong to this material world
- King Prthu, however, being an incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, did not depend on the mercy of the heavenly King

- Lord Buddha did not give them the information of the subtle body, or the soul. They are unable. Why they were unable? They were gross materialists
- Lord Vamanadeva wanted three paces of land according to the measurement of His footsteps. He did not want more than necessary
- Lord Visnu does not give a devotee benedictions that will create a further demand for benedictions
- Lord Visnu is called tri-yuga. He appears in three yugas-Satya, Treta and Dvapara - but in Kali-yuga He does not appear

- Nobody can become God. God is never made. God does not become. God is always God, not that one is not God, and he becomes God by some mystic yogic power. This theory is going on amongst the Mayavadis, that by the mystic yoga practice, one can become God
- Nondevotees' conception of God means if God supplies my order, or carries my order, whatever I say, then God is good. And if he does not do so, then God is bad
- Nor does He (the Supreme Lord) directly manage universal affairs, for He has many assistants who can conduct affairs while He remains in His abode. This is confirmed in Sri Isopanisad 4
- Nor does the Lord become a formless entity at any time, for ultimately He is the eternal form, the primeval Lord. His impersonal aspect, or Brahman effulgence, is but the glow of His personal rays, just as the sun's rays are the glow of the sun-god
- Nor does the manifestation of the Lord's pleasure potency have any connection with such (sex life) degraded things. Lord Caitanya was a strict sannyasi, so much so that He did not allow any woman to come near Him, not even to bow down and offer respects

- Of course all energies are His, and He does not make distinctions between spiritual energy and material energy, but for the conditioned soul who is situated marginally between material energy and spiritual energy, there is a distinction
- Of course, this is the material side of stri-sangi (if one is attached to women this attachment is always troublesome), but the situation of Lord Ramacandra is spiritual, for He does not belong to the material world
- On the part of the Lord there was no offended mood because He does not accept any offense created by His sincere devotee
- One should definitely know that all material ingredients, activities, time and modes, and the living entities who are meant to enjoy them all, exist by His mercy only, and as soon as He does not care for them, everything becomes nonexistent

- Parasya saktir vividhaiva sruyate... na tasya karyam karanam ca vidyate: in the (Svetasvatara Upanisad 6.8 (CC Madhya 13.65, purport)), it is stated that the Supreme Lord does not have to act personally. He has many agents to perform everything for Him
- Poorly informed persons do not know the omnipotence of the Lord. Thus the Lord does not manifest Himself in full to the mental speculators. He can be appreciated only in proportion to one's surrender to Him

- Since the other living entities have material bodies, the matter merges into matter, and the subtle form of the spirit soul remains within the body of God. The Lord does not sleep, but the ordinary living entities remain asleep until the next creation

- Srila Madhvacarya warns: (rudrasya yasaso) Lord Visnu was competent to rectify the situation, (of consuming poison) but in order to give credit to Lord Siva, who later drank all the poison and kept it in his neck, Lord Visnu did not take action
- Srila Sridhara Svami has verified that Lord Visnu appears in the Age of Kali but does not act as He does in other ages
- Suppose you are in distress, so why should you express, " My dear Lord, I am in distressed condition"? God does not know that you are in distressed condition? He is already within your heart - isvarah sarva-bhutanam

- The idea is that the Lord does not create the fish incarnation; He eternally has such a form, and the appearance and disappearance of such an incarnation serves particular purposes

- The Lord does not want any one of His innumerable sons (the living entities) to remain in the material world of threefold miseries to perpetually suffer the material pangs of birth, death, old age and disease
- The Lord does not want His sons, the living beings, to suffer the threefold miseries of life. He desires that all of them come to Him and live with Him, but going back to Godhead means that one must purify himself from material infections
- The Lord does not want the living entity to become entangled in the reactions of activities, be they good or bad. He simply wants everyone to go back home, back to Godhead

- We don't say: "This is good, this is bad." Whatever God says, that is good. What God does not say, prohibit, that is bad. This is our conclusion
- We may construct a gorgeous temple and spend thousands of dollars, but such a temple is not required by the Lord. The Lord has many millions of temples for His residence and He does not need our attempt
- We want God to become our order-supplier, and when He does not supply our order, we say that there is no God. That is the effect of praying for material things

- When a person is favored by brahmanas and Vaisnavas, no one can defeat him. Even the Supreme Personality of Godhead does not interfere when one is protected by a brahmana
- When Narayana is living in the heart of a hog, He does not become a hog-Narayana. He is always Narayana and is unaffected by the body of the hog
- When the Lord was coming out of the water, taking the earth in His arms to deliver it, the demon derided Him with insulting words, but the Lord did not care because He was very conscious of His duty
- When the Supreme Lord appears or descends as an incarnation within this material world, He does not accept a body made of the three modes of material nature - sattva-guna, rajo-guna and tamo-guna
- When the Supreme Personality of Godhead incarnates, He does not need any help from the external energy, for He appears as He is by His own potency. The spiritual potency is also called maya
