- According to the body, you get pains and pleasure of this material world. A very rich man, living very comfortably, a little painful thing is intolerable by him, because he has got a such body, so delicate body. Just like a child
- Actually, the damage done to the car has nothing to do with the car's proprietor, but because the proprietor has identified himself with the interest of the car, he feels pleasure and pain connected with it

- Bodily pains and pleasure come and go; they are not permanent. Tams titiksasva bharata. So you have to learn how to tolerate these bodily pains and pleasure, but you have to take care of the soul

- I cannot say what is going on in your mind, in your body, what pains and pleasure you are feeling. But I can speak about myself that, "I am feeling like this." That I can say. So my consciousness is not perfect. It is perfect so far I am concerned
- I have got a different type of field, and I have to work on it and reap the result out of it and suffer pains and pleasure. That is already settled up

- Krsna consciousness and maya are always there, side by side. As soon as there is awakening of Krsna consciousness, all the illusory pains and pleasures of material existence are vanquished
- Ksetra means this body, and ksetra-jna means the knower of the body. Ksetra-jna. Jna means knower. So Krsna says that each and every body can be ksetra-jna. I know about the pains and pleasure of my body; you know the pains and pleasure of your body

- Offensive chanting may give you material pains and pleasure, and almost offenseless will give you liberation, will place you in the transcendental platform. And when it is offenseless, then immediately you'll invoke love of God, krsna-prema

- This argument (that bodily desginations like pain and pleasure are felt by the soul) put forward by Maharaja Rahugana is correct from the practical point of view, but it arises from an attachment to the bodily conception
- This body is true. We have got body. We don't say it is false. It is true. Bodily pains and pleasures we feel, so how can I say that the body is false?
- This conditional state (of the proprietor identifying with the car's interests) can be avoided if attachment is withdrawn from the car. Then the proprietor would not feel pleasure or pain if the car is damaged or whatever
- This is very important verse. In the previous verse it has been described, dehino 'smin yatha dehe (BG 2.13). Actually, we living entities, we are within the body. The bodily pains and pleasure are not the pains and pleasure of the soul within

- We feel pleasure and pain because consciousness is present, and Krsna advises us that it is this consciousness that is eternal, not the body
- When a person fully realizes that the material body and world are temporary, he is not concerned with pain and pleasures of the body

- You are not conscious of my bodily pains and pleasure, I am not conscious of your bodily pains. But God is conscious of your consciousness and my consciousness and everything. That is the difference between God and you and me
- You may put a pot of milk & rice within fire, & the milk & rice are automatically heated one after the other. Similarly, due to bodily pains & pleasures, the senses, mind & soul are affected. The soul cannot be completely detached from this conditioning
