- Hiranya Pandita
- Hiranya and Govardhana were inhabitants of Saptagrama in the district of Hugli. Actually they were inhabitants not of Saptagrama but of a nearby village named Krsnapura
- Hiranya and Govardhana were the two governmental treasurers in that division of the country. Their priest was named Balarama Acarya
- Hiranya dasa was collecting 2,000,000 coins and therefore should have delivered 1,500,000 to the government. Instead, he was giving only 1,200,000, thus making an extra profit of 300,000 coins

- His (Absolute Personality of Godhead) energies are multi, multifarious, various kinds of energy. - And the energies are working so nicely as if, natural gift, knowledge, art, sva bala-kriya, and strength
- His (Aghasura's) big eyes moved violently, and he quickly suffocated. His life air could not come out from any source, and ultimately it burst out of a hole in the upper part of his skull. Thus his life air passed off
- His (Aghasura's) lower lip rested on the surface of the earth, and his upper lip was touching the clouds in the sky. The borders of his mouth resembled the sides of a big cave in a mountain, & the middle of his mouth was as dark as possible - SB 10.12.17

- His (Dhruva Maharaja's) father, Uttanapada, was the son of Manu, and Manu was the son of Lord Brahma. Dhruva wanted to excel all these great family members
- His (Dhruva Maharaja's) real mother advised him, "If God gives you, then you can get. Otherwise it is not possible." So he went to the forest. He inquired from his mother, - Where is God? I shall go there
- His (Dhruva Maharaja's) stepmother had said that because he was born from the womb of Suniti, a neglected queen of Maharaja Uttanapada, Dhruva Maharaja was not fit to sit either on the throne or on his father's lap
- His (Durvasa Muni's) name is associated with many historical events, and it appears that the great mystic could be both easily satisfied and easily annoyed, like Lord Siva

- His (God's) birth does not, like that of the living entities, take place under the influence of material nature and the bondage of the reactions of past deeds. His works & activities are independent pastimes and are not subject to the reactions of nature
- His (God's) body is always transcendental in all circumstances; therefore, the assumption of the form of a boar is only His pastime. His body is all Vedas, or transcendental
- His (God's) bona fide devotees try their utmost to broadcast the message of our transcendental relationship with Him. In this way the devotees work to remind the fallen souls of their actual position and to bring them back home, back to Godhead
- His (God's) devotees also attract everyone. As mentioned in the Sad-gosvami-stotra: dhiradhira-jana-priyau - the Gosvamis are equally dear to the dhira (devotees) and adhira - demons
- His (God's) light is diffused not only in the spiritual world but beyond that. In the material world also, that light is reflected by the sun globe, and the sunlight is reflected by the moon globe
- His (God's) light is distributed in different ways, as the brahmajyoti, as sunlight and as moonlight. Bhagavad-gita confirms that in the spiritual world there is no need of sunlight, moonlight or electricity
- His (God's) one signal is sufficient to destroy all our attempts. His inconceivable power, as displayed here (SB 3.19.26), is so strong that the demon, despite all his demoniac maneuvers, was killed by the Lord when the Lord desired, simply by one slap
- His (God's) pastimes are eternal and are manifested in due course once in a day of Brahmaji, as the sun rises on the eastern horizon at the end of every twenty-four hours
- His (God's) potencies are immeasurable, as confirmed in the Vedas. He is the greatest of all, and all others, even the greatest of all living beings, namely Brahmaji, admits that the best thing for us is to surrender unto Him
- His (God's) pure devotees, the Vaisnavas, are traveling all over the world, but those who are under the modes of material nature cannot understand the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the source of this cosmic manifestation, or the Vaisnavas
- His (God's) transcendental energy acts according to His omnipotency. The same energy acts as His external, internal and marginal energies, and by His omnipotency He can perform anything and everything through the agency of any of the above energies
- His (God's) transcendental form is one hundred percent spiritual, and one can see Him only by spiritualized vision after proper discharge of tapasya or penance, in pure bhakti-yoga
- His (God's) transcendental position is always unchanged. He is the eternal form of knowledge and bliss, and He executes His almighty will by His different energies
- His (God's) transcendental qualities are so attractive that even the liberated souls (atmaramas) are also attracted by them. Although possessed of all personal qualities, He is nevertheless omnipotent
- His (God's) transcendental qualities are such that the perfection of His beauty, His perfect reciprocation of love between Himself & His devotees & the flavor of His transcendental qualities attract different kinds of transcendentalists & liberated souls
- His (God) creations both material and spiritual are all wonderful and contain all variegatedness
- His (Hiranyakasipu's) decision was that since the self (atma) and time are both eternal, if he could not occupy that post (of Lord Brahma) in one lifetime he would continue to execute austerities life after life so that sometime he would be able to do so
- His (Hiranyakasipu's) first proposal is that he not be killed by any of the different forms of living entities created by Lord Brahma within this material world
- His (Hiranyaksa's) valor thus frustrated, the great demon felt humiliated and was put out of countenance. He was reluctant to take back the mace when it was offered by the Personality of Godhead

- His (Krsna's) Lordship is always in a happy condition of transcendental bliss, whereas the conditioned soul is always unhappy because of his contact with the material energy
- His (Krsna's) abode is the supreme planet known as Goloka Vrndavana, and by His will, this Goloka Vrndavana is manifested in this universe and in other universes as well
- His (Krsna's) activities are just like the waves of the Ganges River. Just as there is no limit to the flowing of the waves of the Ganges, there is no cessation of Lord Krsna's incarnations in different universes

- His (Krsna's) body is absolute, beginningless, unborn, and eternal, while the material body of the living being is relative and therefore temporary - it undergoes birth and death

- His (Krsna's) different aspects can be analyzed according to the exhibition of His limitless variety of pastimes, and as such there is no contradiction
- His (Krsna's) different potencies work in a perfect plan of natural sequence, and doing everything by the agency of His different potencies, He remains eternally the supreme independent
- His (Krsna's) diminishing the duration of life of Arjuna's enemy does not mean that He was partial to the cause of Arjuna
- His (Krsna's) disappearance from the sight of the child Pariksit does not mean that He appeared on the spot from any other place. He was present there, and even after His disappearance He was there, although invisible to the eyes of the child
- His (Krsna's) energies are also multifarious, and His internal energies are superior and external energies inferior in quality. They are explained in the Bhagavad-gita (7.4-6) as the para and the apara prakrtis
- His (Krsna's) energy is displayed in different ways, as electrical energy works in manifold capacities
- His (Krsna's) energy is so fine and nice that automatically it appears that the color has come, the painting has come, but there is working, very fine work
- His (Krsna's) enmity and friendship are external features presented by the material energy. He is always transcendental. He is absolute, whether He kills or bestows His favor
- His (Krsna's) eternal abode is a manifestation of His internal energy, whereas the material world is a manifestation of His external energy
- His (Krsna's) eternal pastimes have no beginning or end, and one has to learn of them from the pure devotee only and not waste valuable time in so-called research work
- His (Krsna's) exceptional joking abilities, exhibited sometimes by His pretending to be a royal prince, or even the Supreme Personality of Godhead, also give impetus to devotees developing love for Krsna in friendship
- His (Krsna's) expansions of various forms which take place via the internal energies are superior forms, whereas the expansions which take place via the external energies are inferior forms
- His (Krsna's) eyes appeared to spread like the petals of a lotus, and His smiling face exhibited the symbol of eternal peace and prosperity
- His (Krsna's) favorite plant (tulasi), His devotees, and the observance of fasts and vows connected to His devotion all awaken the symptoms of ecstatic love
- His (Krsna's) fiancee or lover sometimes supersedes the position of the Lord. But such attempts are exhibitions of the highest love
- His (Krsna's) fingernails are many full moons, and they dance on the flute in His hands. Their song is the melody of that flute. His toenails are also many full moons, and they dance on the ground. Their song is the jingling of His ankle bells
- His (Krsna's) first business is to give all comfort to the cows and the brahmanas. In fact, comfort for the brahmanas is secondary, and comfort for the cows is His first concern
- His (Krsna's) first business is to give pleasure to His devotees, and His second business is to kill the demons, who are always giving the devotees trouble
- His (Krsna's) forehead is considered a half moon, the spot of sandalwood pulp on His forehead is considered a moon, and His fingernails and toenails are also different moons
- His (Krsna's) form is eternal, blissful knowledge. Sac-cid-ananda-vigrahah, ananda-cinmaya-rasa and kaivalya are the same
- His (Krsna's) friends, being controlled in such a way, could not understand that for one whole year they were absent from the Yamuna's bank and were under the spell of Brahma's illusion
- His (Krsna's) gopis, His consorts, His father, His mother, His friends, His trees, His flowers, His calves and cows - everything is spiritual, expansion from Him
- His (Krsna's) incarnations as a fish, tortoise and so on are called His causal incarnations. He incarnates in the modes of nature as Lord Brahma, Lord Siva and Lord Visnu. He also incarnates as empowered living entities like Prthu and Vyasa
- His (Krsna's) intelligence, His forgiveness, His attraction for all kinds of men, His opulence and His happiness - all provoke fraternal love
- His (Krsna's) internal potency is exhibited first as sat, or existence - or, in other words, as the portion that expands the existence function of the Lord

- His (Krsna's) love for them was so intense that there is no comparison to that ecstasy, and the damsels of Vraja were so much attached to Him that their affection excelled that of the great demigods like Brahma and Siva
- His (Krsna's) meditation on Brahman or Paramatma or Bhagavan is on Himself only and not on anything else beyond Himself. This meditation cannot be imitated by the ordinary living entity
- His (Krsna's) mission was to diminish the overburdening population of the whole world; therefore He took the opportunity to face so many men, chariots, elephants and horses
- His (Krsna's) name, fame, quality, form, pastimes and entourage are all identical to the Lord, and therefore chanting the glories of the Lord invokes the personal presence of the Lord
- His (Krsna's) name in Dina-bandhu. Who is very, very poor in heart, He becomes very great friend, dina-bandhu, and advises him. Buddhi-yogam dadami tam
- His (Krsna's) name is anumanta. Without His sanction, you cannot have anything. Just like I am moving this hand. It is by His sanction. As soon as He stops His sanction, immediately paralyzed
- His (Krsna's) naughty dealings with His young girl friends cannot bewilder a pure devotee like Uddhava. Others, who are not devotees, are bewildered by such behavior of the Lord, who acted just like a human being
- His (Krsna's) pastimes are wonderful even for other incarnations of the Lord, such as Sri Rama, Nrsimha & Varaha. His opulence was so superexcellent that His pastimes were adored even by the Lord of Vaikuntha, who is not different from Lord Krsna Himself
- His (Krsna's) potencies are multifarious, and thus His deeds are automatically performed as a natural sequence. (Svetasvatara Upanisad 6.7-8). BG 1972 purports
- His (Krsna's) purpose was to teach that we need not satisfy the various demigods in charge of the various departments of cosmic affairs; instead we must offer sacrifices to the Supreme Lord, for the Lord is the master and all others are His servants

- His (Krsna's) uncommon activities like lifting Govardhana Hill, marrying more than sixteen thousand queens at Dvaraka these and innumerable other uncommon acts and attributes are all mysteries
- His (Krsna's) uncommon genius in all fields of endeavor, His exhibition of expert knowledge, His mercy, His chivalry, His behavior as a conjugal lover
- His (Krsna's) urine is also good. That is a different thing. If this is an argument that, "Because Krsna is good, He should not pass urine and stool," that is no argument
- His (Krsna's) value as the Supreme Lord did not diminish upon His becoming a baby to please His devotee Yasoda
