- A devotee is always qualified with all the good qualities of God. Quantitatively such qualifications may be different, but qualitatively both the Lord and His devotee are one and the same
- A devotee of the Lord, silently tolerated all the sage's (Durvasa Muni's) injustices & thereby emerged victorious. The King (Ambarisa) was able to control his senses because of the following qualifications, as mentioned in SB 9.4.18-20. BG 1972 purports

- A devotee, if he is educated, he tries to apply his educational qualification in describing Krsna by so many literatures, so many publications. That is the proper use
- A few of a devotee's qualifications are further being described (in BG 12.15). BG 1972 purports
- A pure devotee constantly remembers Krsna and meditates upon Him. These are qualifications of the pure devotee for whom the Lord is most easily attainable. BG 1972 purports

- A sadhu, the first qualification is he must be a staunch devotee of Krsna, or God, whatever you say. That is sadhu
- A Vaisnava, therefore, should be fully qualified. As stated in the Bhagavatam, anyone who has become a Vaisnava has developed all the good qualities of the demigods. There are twenty-six qualifications mentioned in the Caitanya-caritamrta

D

- Devotees completely control the six bad qualities
- Devotees who qualify themselves for liberation by DS are offered 4 kinds of liberation: salokya (status equal to that of the Lord), samipya (constant association with the Lord), sarsti (opulence equal to that of the Lord) and sarupya (features like Lord)
- Devotional service has the power to actually nullify all kinds of reactions to sinful deeds. A devotee is nevertheless always alert not to commit any sinful activities; this is his specific qualification as a devotee
