- A similar understanding (as SB 8.3.6) was expressed by Kuntidevi. The Supreme Lord exists everywhere, within & without. He even exists within the heart. Sarvasya caham hrdi sannivisto (BG 15.15). Isvarah sarva-bhutanam hrd-dese 'rjuna tisthati - BG 18.61
- Absolute Truth is realized in three phases of understanding, namely (1) Brahman or the impersonal all-pervasive spirit; (2) Paramatma, or the localized aspect of the Supreme within the heart of all living entities. BG 1972 purports
- Actual meditation in yoga aims at seeing the four-armed Visnu murti, which is the form of the Lord within the heart. That is real meditation

- God is always beside us, present in our hearts. When we leave the body, God also goes with us, and when we take on another body, He goes with us there just to see what we are doing. When shall we turn our face towards Him? He is always waiting
- God is living within the core of the heart, and the living entity, he is also living within this core of heart. They are living just like two birds sitting on the branch of one tree. These are the Vedic statement

- He (God) is present not only in the heart of the living entity, but also in material things, even in the atoms, protons and electrons being explored by material scientists
- He (God) is within the universe and within our heart, and He is even within the atom. Why are we saying that we cannot see Him? God says, - Try to see Me in this way, but if you are too dull, then try to see Me another way

- I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Supreme, the master of all mystic yoga, who is seen in the core of the heart by perfect mystics when they are completely purified and freed from the reactions of fruitive activity by practicing bhakti-yoga
- If by studying the form, name, qualities, pastimes and paraphernalia of the Supreme Godhead one is attracted to the Lord, he can execute devotional service, and the form of the Lord will be impressed in his heart and remain transcendentally situated there
- If one wants to see God, if one wants Him to be always present, as Kuntidevi is requesting that He be, one can keep God always within one s heart

- Meditation means concentrating the mind to find out God, where He is within my heart. That is real perfection of yoga. So people do not know this science
- My Lord, devotees like your good self are verily holy places personified. Because you carry the Personality of Godhead within your heart, you turn all places into places of pilgrimage

- Narayana, the SPG, who is full of all opulences, is predominant within the core of your heart because of your being a pure devotee. He always drives away all the darkness of ignorance, as the sun drives away the darkness of the universe
- No one can satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead by such activities (impersonal speculation, monism, speculative knowledge, mystic yoga and meditation), nor do we give the Lord a chance to sit in our hearts peacefully
- No one has to pray to God to ask for anything, and he who does so is foolish because he does not know that the all-knowing God is within his heart and is well aware when he is in distress or in need of money
- Not only is He (God) seated in the heart of the human being, but He is also within the hearts of cats and dogs. Bhagavad-gita certifies this fact by the declaration of the Lord, isvarah sarva-bhutanam hrd-dese - BG 18.61
- Now it is up to you to keep on working vigorously in the service of the Lord and because He is seated within your heart, He will reveal from within all necessary intelligence for you to further extend your loving devotional service to Him

- O my friends, sons of the asuras, the SPG in His Supersoul feature always exists within the cores of the hearts of all living entities. Indeed, He is the well-wisher and friend of all living entities, and there is no difficulty in worshiping the Lord
- Of all yogis, the greatest is the one who constantly thinks of the Lord within the core of his heart with love and devotion
- On behalf of many neophyte devotees, Vidura, at the very first instance, inquired from Maitreya about the path of devotional service, by which the Lord, who is seated within the heart, can be pleased
- One cannot simply say, "Now I have dedicated my life to Krsna. Let me remain seated in samadhi." The standard of surrender must be maintained by nisevaya, serving. As one serves the Supreme Lord, the Lord reveals Himself within the heart
- One must act according to the direction of the Lord within the heart, but because the conditioned soul wants to act independently, the Lord gives him the facility to act and experience the reactions
- Our senses are very restless, and by practicing the different asanas, or sitting postures, one must control the mind and senses so that one can concentrate upon the form of Visnu within the heart

- Real meditation is to find out the Supersoul within the core of the heart. That is real meditation. God is situated in everyone's heart, so the yogis, they try to find out the Supersoul within the heart. That is real yogi
- Real yoga practice entails meeting the Paramatma within the heart and then following His dictation. For one who takes to Krsna consciousness directly, perfect surrender to the dictation of the Lord follows automatically. BG 1972 purports
- Regarding the cover for "The Lord in the Heart," yes, Lord Visnu should be distinguished by Srivatsa on His chest. The Kaustava jewel should be painted to look just like a very precious jewel. Lord Visnu should be surrounded by effulgence from His person
- Remembrance of the Supreme Personality of Godhead within one's heart is the goal of devotional service
S
- Sadyo hrdy avarudhyate, susrusubhis tat-ksanat. Susrusubhih, those who are serious about understanding about the Supreme Absolute Truth, so for him, immediately God becomes entrapped within the heart
- Since the Supreme Lord is absolute, the form within the heart of a devotee, the form in the temple and the original form in Vaikuntha, Vrndavana-dhama, are all the same; they are nondifferent from one another
- So the world is full of rascals and fools. Therefore God consciousness, Krsna consciousness, has become a vague idea. Otherwise, if one wants to see God as Kuntidevi is requesting, that "You remain always . . ." one can keep God always within his heart
- Some yogis think of the Lord within their hearts as measuring about six inches. The Lord has four hands, in which He holds a conchshell, club, disc and lotus flower. Those who worship this form of Visnu within the heart are called sagarbha-yogis
- Speaking before Dhruva Maharaja, He used the word vedaham because when Dhruva Maharaja demanded material benefits, the Lord was present within his heart and so knew everything

- The Brahma-samhita (BS 5.38) states, andantara-stha-paramanu-cayantara-stham. The Lord is present everywhere, within the heart of every living entity and within each and every atom as well. Thus by this Supersoul feature the Lord is all-pervading
- The demoniac person, who has no faith in God or the Supersoul within himself, performs all kinds of sinful activities simply for sense gratification. He does not know that there is a witness sitting within his heart. BG 1972 purports
- The entire Vedic civilization aims at satisfying the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This was possible in Satya-yuga by meditation upon the Supreme Lord within the core of one's heart and in Treta-yuga by the performance of costly yajnas
- The first understanding of the Absolute Truth is impersonal Brahman, brahma-darsanam. Then, if you can make further progress, then you will see that Absolute Truth within your heart by yoga system

- The Lord's name, form, quality, pastimes, entourage, etc., as they are described in the revealed scriptures or as performed in the Vaikunthalokas, far, far beyond the material cosmic manifestation, are factually being televised in the heart of the devotee
- The Lord, as the Supersoul in the heart of every living being, knows what is in the mind of each living entity, and no one can do anything without the knowledge of the Lord within
- The Lord, situated within everyone's heart, fulfills the desires of the demigod-worshipers - but in the Bhagavad-gita the Lord says that such demigod-worshipers are of small intelligence - alpa-medhasah
- The Lord, through His plenary portion, enters into each and every universe to create the material manifestation. He also enters into each and every heart in all living entities and into each and every atom also - paramanu-cayantara-stham
- The Lord, within everyone's heart, is observing and giving everyone the desired result
- The mystery of yogic meditation is explained here (in SB 7.10.39). Real yogis always meditate on the form of Visnu within their hearts
- The only way to understand the Lord as He is, is by devotional service to the Lord, or by approaching the devotee of the Lord who always has the Lord in his heart

- The Supreme Personality of Godhead in His plenary expansion as the Paramatma, or Supersoul, sits in everyone's heart and can understand the attitudes and desires of His devotees

- The Supreme Personality of Godhead is equal to everyone. He has no enemies and no friends. Everyone is enjoying the fruitive reactions of his own work, and the Lord, within everyone's heart, is observing and giving everyone the desired result
- The Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Supersoul within the core of everyone's heart, gives inspirations for action according to one's mentality. All of these mentalities are merely facilities given by Krsna to the person acting
- The word sarva-bhuta-nivasaya further clarifies how Lord Visnu lives in everyone's heart and acts as the direct witness of all the activities of the conditioned soul
- The yogi, by meditation, being in samadhi, they are seeing the Absolute Truth, Personality of Godhead, Visnu, within the heart. And those who are devotees, they are seeing the Supreme Personality of Godhead as Arjuna is seeing, personally, face to face
- The yogis, the real yogis, they, by meditation, they see visnu-murti within the heart. And those who are devotees, they meet the Supreme Person face to face just like we are meeting face to face, talk face to face, serve directly
- Then (when one engages in devotional service twenty-four hours a day) the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is within the core of everyone's heart, speaks to the devotee - dadami buddhi-yogam tam yena mam upayanti te
- There are two persons interested in this body. One is the individual soul, living entity, and the other is the Supersoul, God. He is also within this body
- They (pure devotees) became so powerful because they sincerely followed the Bhagavatam principles by regular hearing & worshiping. By such actions the accumulated material lusts, etc., become cleansed by the personal endeavor of the Lord within the heart
- They (the great sages Kavi, Mahavira and Savana) could understand that the Supersoul within the heart is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and they could recognize their identity with Him
- This does not mean that the spiritual master or a saintly person like Narada has actually become the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but he is accepted in this way because he possesses the Supreme Personality of Godhead within his heart constantly
- This is confirmed in the Brahma-samhita: a person who has developed pure love for the Lord, and whose eyes are smeared with the ointment of transcendental loving exchange, always sees within his heart the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- This is human civilization, not that so many so-called sadhus and... They are now preaching openly the yoga by sex. Yoga by sex. They have invented. Yoga means to find out the Supreme Lord within one's self, within the core of the heart. That is real yoga
- This practice (regulative principles of vaidhi-bhakti) can help the neophyte devotee to rise to the stage of raga-bhakti, in which the Lord responds from within as the caitya-guru, or the spiritual master as Superconsciousness
- This shows how the Lord is all-pervading, in spite of His being locally situated in His abode. Although the Lord was present in Vaikuntha, He was present also in the heart of the brahmana when he was meditating on the worshiping process
- This verse of Srimad-Bhagavatam (SB 3.15.46) describes persons who are expected to be very expert yogis engaged in meditation but who do not find the Supreme Personality of Godhead seated within the heart
- Those so-called yogis who, although engaged in meditation, are not broad hearted cannot find the four-handed Narayana form, even though He is seated within their heart
- Those who are actually interested to understand his position in this world, then he should hear about the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the supreme controller living in everyone's heart, sarvatma harihisvaro
- Those who are Krsna conscious, who are always thinking of Krsna within their minds and within their hearts, are not suffering as much because they know that whatever they might suffer is due to Krsna's desire. Therefore they welcome suffering
- Those who are real yogis, they always observe the Visnu form within the heart. That is the process of meditation and samadhi
- To realize this Visnu-murti within the heart, one has to observe complete abstinence from sex life; therefore one has to leave home and live alone in a secluded place, remaining seated as mentioned above (BG 6.13-14). BG 1972 purports

- We can see God everywhere and at all times. We will see God and nothing but God. We will see God not only within our hearts. If we go to the ocean, we will see God

- Yet although God is residing within their hearts, foolish people say, "I cannot see God. Please show Him to me"
- Yogi, those who are yogis, transcendentalists, they are trying to observe the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Dhyanavasthita, by meditation. That is real meditation, to focus the mind to see the Supreme Personality of Godhead within the heart
- Yogis always think of the Supreme Personality of Godhead within their hearts. Dhyanavasthita-tad-gatena manasa pasyanti yam yoginah (SB 12.13.1). The Supreme Personality of Godhead is always observed by yogis who practice controlling the venomous senses
- Your sincerity of purpose will itself help you more and more because the Lord is sitting within your heart and as soon as he sees that you require to do something for His service, He will immediately give you all facilities
