- Anna means "food." After this one lives in the consciousness of being alive. If one can continue his life without being attacked or destroyed, one thinks himself happy

- If one can attain imperishable name and fame by sacrificing his perishable body, he becomes a very respectable figure in the history of human civilization
- If one can attain the favor of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, he has nothing to aspire for, nor does he desire any other gain
- If one can avoid sex life and the attachment is overturned for Krishna Consciousness, his position is very laudable
- If one can beget children who will be devotees and be taught to turn aside from the path of birth and death (mrtyu-samsara-vartmani (BG 9.3)), there is no need of birth control. Rather, one should be encouraged to beget children
- If one can beget good Krsna conscious children, he can have sex thousands of times, but if he can only beget children who are raised in the consciousness of cats and dogs, his sex life is to be considered irreligious
- If one can chant and hear Hare Krsna and always remember Lord Krsna, then he is sure to become fearless of death, which may come at any moment
- If one can cleanse his mind, he immediately comes to his original position of Krsna consciousness, and thus his life becomes successful. Therefore all the great saints in the devotional line very strongly recommend the process of hearing
- If one can control the tongue, brahmacarya and other purifying processes will automatically follow

- If one can give evidence from the quotation of the Vedas, then it has to be accepted. Nobody can deny the Vedic evidence. That is the system
- If one can give up his ambition to engage in hackneyed material life and take to Krsna consciousness instead, he will be liberated from the stringent laws of material nature
- If one can gradually advance his status in devotional service, this is understood to be due to the causeless mercy of Krsna Himself
- If one can hear from the proper source, and if he understands the real fact of rasa-lila, then the result will be that his heart, which is full with lusty desire, that will vanish. There will be no more lusty desires
- If one can mold his family life in this way to develop Krsna consciousness, following these four principles, then there is no need to change from family life to renounced life

- If one can somehow or other give it (the connection with one's wife) up for the service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, then the Lord Himself, although not able to be conquered by anyone, comes very much under the control of the devotee
- If one can somehow or other, by the grace of the Lord, understand the transcendental position of the Lord, one becomes eternal. This is further confirmed by the Lord Himself in Bhagavad-gita - BG 4.9
- If one can surpass this chain of birth and death, why an intelligent man should not take up this process of Krsna consciousness
- If one can surrender with all his family members, there is no need to take sannyasa. However, if the surrendering process is hampered by so-called family members, one should immediately give them up to complete the surrendering process

- In the symptoms of Kali-yuga it has been stated, daksyam kutumba-bharanam. Kutumba means family. If one can maintain his family, he is to be considered as very successful. No, he hasn't got to make daksa-yajna or naradeva-yajna or so many yajna. No
- In the Vedas and Puranas there are injunctions declaring that if one can revive a living being, one can kill it for experimental purposes
- It has already been ascertained that at the time of death, if one can think of Krsna, he is immediately transferred to the abode of Krsna

- Sanskrit is a perfect language and is therefore very glorious. After studying, if one can remember the subject matter, he is gifted with good memory. BG 1972 purports
- Sex life is the cause of bondage of the conditioned soul to remain in the material world. If one can conquer over the sex impulses voluntarily, he conquers over the influence of material nature
- Somehow or other if one can please a pure devotee of the Lord, such action means immediate satisfaction of the Lord, even though such a person is not officially qualified to receive the mercy of the Lord

- The age is so fallen that if one can maintain one wife and a few children, oh, he is Daksa Maharaja. Daksa Maharaja is called . . . Daksa means he was very expert in begetting children and maintaining them
- The conclusion is that if one can feed a brahmana or Vaisnava, it is better than performing hundreds of thousands of sacrifices
- The last five items - mentioned after the first thirty-nine - are very important and essential. If one can simply discharge these five items, he can be elevated to the highest perfectional stage, even if he does not execute them perfectly
- The neophyte is advised to execute devotional service in the seven other fields (sravanam kirtanam, etc.). If one can successfully execute the preliminary seven items, he can in the future be situated on the platform of sakhyam atma-nivedanam
- The second question put by Pariksit Maharaja to Sukadeva Gosvami is very important: How can one ultimately become free from all contamination brought about by the material modes of nature? If one cannot achieve liberation, what is the use of atonement
- The strongest enemy is our tongue, is our tongue. Jihva-vegam. If one can control the urges of the tongue then he will be naturally able to stop the urges of the belly and the urges of the genital, three straight line
- The taking of the renounced order, however, is not always necessary. If one can execute Krsna consciousness in family life, that is also recommended
- The Vedic information says, kasmin tu bhagavo vijnate sarvam idam vijnatam bhavati. If one can understand Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, then everything becomes automatically known to him
- The words aham samadhaya manah indicate that the most important duty at the time of death is to concentrate one's mind. If one can fix his mind on the lotus feet of Krsna, Visnu, Sankarsana or any Visnu murti, his life will be successful
- They do not know the Supreme Personality of Godhead. What, then, is the use in studying all the Vedas if one cannot grasp the essence of them, Krsna? The Lord confirms in BG(15.15), vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyah: "By all the Vedas, I am to be known."
- This basic principle of increasing attachment is not our business, although it is the general tendency. Grha, ksetra, suta (home, land, sons). But if one can reduce and stop it, that is first class
- Those who are practicing Krsna consciousness know that their examination will be held at the time of death. If one can remember Krsna at death, he is immediately transferred to Goloka Vrndavana
- To be the servant of the Lord is the greatest position; if one can understand this and can thus revive one's original nature of eternal servitorship, one stands fully independent
- To feel the emotion of ecstatic love of God is to be on the transcendental platform. If one can keep himself in that transcendental position, he will surely return home, back to Godhead
- To speak frankly, there is no necessity even for marrying. There is no necessity. If one can remain a brahmacari all through, that is a great benefit. Great benefit

- We must offer proper respects to all the demigods. If one can offer respects even to an ant, why not to the demigods? One must always know, however, that no demigod is equal to or above the Supreme Lord
- Without knowledge of the spirit soul and its transmigration, people are allured by the material energy to engage in many such activities, as if one could become happy simply by dint of material knowledge, without reference to spiritual existence
