- This is first chastisement, that so far this body is concerned, it is a dead lump of matter, either it is moving or not moving. When there is life, it will move. When there is not life, it does not move. But both cases, it is a lump of matter
- This is going on now: atheism. Big, big professors, educationists, they're also in this opinion. I have traveled all over the world. One Russian professor said, "Swamiji, after this life, there is no... Everything is finished." But that's not the fact
- This is like a blind man's leading another blind man to fall into a ditch. Therefore, unless the devotees of the Lord take pity on them and teach them the right path, their lives are hopeless failures
- This is material calculation: one hour lost, two hours lost. The body's life is transient; it is losing one moment, one hour. But spiritual life is different
- This is not a fiction but is a fact that can be realized by practical application. One can directly perceive the effects that love for Krsna has on his life
- This is not life, that "Because I can run in more speed than the dog, therefore I am civilized"
- This is the madness of human society. The madman has no responsibility in life. Similarly, a human being who does not develop a sense of responsibility before he dies is no better than the madman
- This is the nature of material life, that he will work very hard and he will think, "That is my life." This is material life. But actually, if you are actually happy, then why you have to work so hard? But that is nonsense. He is nonsense
- This is the path of renunciation based on a frustrated life, but stabilization of such renunciation is possible only by association with bona fide saints and self-realized souls by which one can be engaged in the loving devotional service of the Lord
- This is the spell of maya. Even Indra forgets his heavenly standard of life and is satisfied with the standard of a hog's life
- This is, means, mamsa. You cannot escape this. "Life for life." That is the law everywhere. If you have murdered somebody, you must be killed also. So you can escape the so-called state laws, but you cannot escape the laws of the material nature
- This joyous life is attained by those who have made the determination to achieve the favor of Govinda by being engaged in transcendental loving service at His lotus feet
- This kind of householder life of "grihameda'' consciousness does not apply to our marriages in Krishna Consciousness Movement
- This kind of life, without any responsibility, and carried away by the waves of time, is the tenth-class life. This is tenth-class life, ignorance
- This Krsna consciousness movement is a great art of life, very easy and sublime. This Krsna consciousness movement gives you everything you want, without any artificial endeavor
- This Krsna consciousness movement is the best welfare activities for the human society to save them from a dangerous type of life. It is a very scientific movement
- This leaves only a few more years, but because of too much attachment to household life, those years are also spent with no purpose, without God consciousness. Therefore, one should be trained to be a perfect brahmacari in the beginning of life
- This life is a chance for the conditioned soul to regain his eternal God consciousness and thus fulfill the mission of life. Maharaja Prahlada is the right type of representative of the Lord in the family of asuras
- This life is preparation for the next life. These are simple truth. But people are in ignorance. They do not know anything. And they're keeping them in ignorance and bluffing them in so many ways
- This material world is so created that one has to act sinfully, knowingly or unknowingly, and unless his life is dedicated to Visnu, he has to suffer all the reactions of sinful activities
- This matter is also energy, and life is also energy. So according to Bhagavad-gita, this life, or the living being, is superior energy, and the matter is inferior energy
- This means that simply by visiting the Deity of Govinda in Vrndavana one becomes highly elevated in pious life
- This nectar was known as mrta-sanjivayitari, for it could bring a dead body to life. Mrta-sanjivayitari is also an Ayur-vedic preparation. It is a kind of liquor that invigorates even a person on the verge of death
- This objective of everyone's interest is Visnu, but because people do not know this (na te viduh svartha-gatim hi visnum (SB 7.5.31)), they are making various plans by which to fulfill so many concocted interests in life
- This plundering of our possessions and life-span begins with the day of our birth. One day will come when death will finish everything, and the living entity will have to enter another body to begin another chapter of life and again begin the cycle
- This practice is very essential for the student's advancement in spiritual life, but at the moment such brahmacari (unmarried celibate) life is not at all possible
- This practice is very old, as learned from this verse (3.22.23) of Srimad-Bhagavatam; millions of years ago, Svayambhuva Manu used to avail himself of this opportunity to live householder life in peace and prosperity of a Krsna consciousness atmosphere
- This preparatory stage (to the renounced order of life) is called vanaprastha-asrama, or retired life for traveling and visiting the holy places on the surface of the earth
- This process of chanting the narrations of the life and character of Prthu Maharaja is recommended for conquering kings if they want to fulfill their desire to rule the world
- This realization (of the transcendental messages) for a moment in the association of pure devotees like Sukadeva Gosvami prepares one's complete life for eternity
- This reciprocation of service and love between husband and wife is the ideal of a householder's life
- This regulative principle (always think of Krsna and never forget Him) is applicable to all varnas and asramas, the castes and occupations of life
- This so-called perfection of human life is a concoction. It is said that the materialist, how materially qualified he may be, is worthless because he is hovering on the mental plane, which will drag him again to the material existence of temporary life
- This statement (of SB 6.16.58) is confirmed in Caitanya-caritamrta (CC Adi 9.41). Lord Caitanya said: Everyone born in India, especially as a human being, can achieve the supreme success through the Vedic literature and its practical application in life
- This the atheists do not know (at the time of death one must submit to the supreme kala and then He takes away all his possessions & forces him to accept another body), and if they do know, they neglect it so that they may go on with their normal life
- This time Balarama immediately caught hold of the legs of the ass with one hand and, wheeling him (Dhenukasura) around, threw him into the treetops. While he was being wheeled around by Balarama, the demon lost his life
- This tree is dead. - Dead means it has life. So wherefrom the life came? Who made him a tree and made him a prime minister? Who made him? They cannot answer all these questions. Simply blindly following their own mental concoction
- This verse aham eva never indicates anything other than the Supreme Lord, and one should therefore follow the path of the Brahma-sampradaya, or the path from Brahmaji to Narada, to Vyasadeva, etc., and make it a point in life to realize Lord Krsna
- This whole world is confusion, just like a blazing fire in the forest. When there is forest fire, all the animals become confused, "Where to go? How to save life?" It is very good example. When there is fire in the forest, all the animals become confused
- This world is very awful. Anyone is ready to create some disturbance, especially they are very much apt to disturb Krishna Consciousness persons because that is the way of demoniac life
- Thoroughly study Bhagavad-gita As It Is. Yes. Understand the philosophy of life. Apply in your own life and try to spread among friends
- Those in the lower stage of life can become freed from all sinful reactions by strictly following the Vedic ritualistic processes. Then they can become situated in pure devotional service
- Those persons who do not indulge in sense gratification but utilize this body or this life for God realization, Krsna realization, they are called gods
- Those who are addicted to sex life are also materially advanced because sex life or passionate life is the impetus for the material advancement of civilization
- Those who are addicted to these bad habits (prostitute-hunting, meat-eating, gambling, etc.), in their hundreds and thousands of life they will never be able to understand what is God. The door is locked for them
- Those who are advanced and highly qualified and are interested in the essence of life know the good qualities of Kali-yuga
- Those who are always dreaming of lording it over the material world, and whose life, mind and senses are thus engaged, are considered to have determination in the mode of ignorance
- Those who are associating with the base qualities of material nature, they get lower life. That is natural. Just like you contaminate a kind of disease, it will become manifest in due course of time
- Those who are attached to the bodily conception of life and who thus stick to life as a grhastha, or householder, on the platform of material sense enjoyment, cannot see the welfare of the eternal soul
- Those who are bereft of all good sense, or those whose intelligence is withdrawn by the deluding energy of maya, aspire to achieve all sorts of material enjoyment in life 1) by pleasing the various demigods
- Those who are bereft of all good sense, or those whose intelligence is withdrawn by the deluding energy of maya, aspire to achieve all sorts of material enjoyment in life 2) by advancing in material civilization under the heading of scientific progress
- Those who are bewildered by the external features of the material world and are engaged in the animal propensities of the eat-drink-and-be-merry type of life are simply wasting their lives by the unseen passing away of valuable years
- Those who are determined to continue following the materialistic way of life, will never awaken their dormant love of Krsna, for they hear the Bhagavatam only to solidify their position in household life and to be happy in family affairs and sex
- Those who are envious, asuric, demons, I put them in such abominable life that they'll never be able to understand Me (Krsna) - It's the greatest punishment. For a living being, if he forgets Krsna, in any condition of life, it is the greatest punishment
- Those who are fixed up in the words of guru, so - Guru has ordered me to do it. Oh, that is my life. I do not know whether I will be promoted to heaven or hell. It doesn't matter. I shall execute
- Those who are in the material world, the ksatriyas and vaisyas, must give charity. Brahmacaris, in the beginning of their lives, should perform different kinds of yajnas
- Those who are in the mode of goodness are promoted to higher planets, in a higher status of life - BG 14.14
- Those who are in the mode of passion remain within this material world on the earth or on heavenly planets, but those who are in the mode of ignorance are degraded to an animal life on planets where life is lower than human
- Those who are interested in materialistic life are also called asat. When asked how a Vaisnava behaves, Caitanya Mahaprabhu replied, asat-sanga-tyaga-ei vaisnava-acara - A devotee first of all avoids the company of asat those who are materially interested
- Those who are interested only in a so-called beautiful life - namely remaining as a householder entangled by sons and a wife and searching after wealth - think that such things are life's ultimate goal
- Those who are materially passionate or those who want to exhibit their intelligence for material advancement in life are generally worshipers of Lord Brahma, and persons who are in the gross ignorance of identifying with the body worship Lord Siva
- Those who are not Vaisnavas consider only human society worthy of their sympathy, but Krsna claims to be the supreme father of all life forms. Consequently the Vaisnava takes care not to annihilate untimely or unnecessarily any life form
- Those who are only miscreants throughout their lives are compared to demons (BG 7.15). They are bereft of all knowledge, in spite of any academic educational career they may pursue. Such miscreants are never candidates for satisfying the Lord
- Those who are overly attracted to their life situation are forced to remain in a ghostly body and are not allowed to accept another gross body. Even in the body of a ghost, they create disturbances for neighbors and relatives
- Those who are regulated by scriptural injunctions and thus gradually rise to Krsna consciousness certainly progress in life. BG 1972 purports
- Those who are satisfied with temporary life, temporary pleasure, and temporary facilities are not to be considered intelligent, at least not according to Bhagavad-gita
- Those who are sinful in every step of life can expect only to be degraded into animal life to suffer more and more the pangs of material existence, and this is also stated in Bhagavad-gita
- Those who are unable to remain alone are given license to live in household life with wife and children, not for sense gratification but for cultivation of Krsna consciousness
- Those who are vegetarians. They may think that, "We are not killing animals." No. They are also committing sins, because vegetables, they have also got life
- Those who cannot avoid oversleeping, cannot avoid the pride of enjoying material objects & always dreaming of lording it over the material world, whose life, mind, & senses are thus engaged, are considered to be in the mode of ignorance. BG 1972 purports
- Those who do not follow the Vedic principles are unrestricted as far as sex life is concerned. Consequently they sometimes do not hesitate to have sex with their sisters. In this age of Kali there are many instances of such incest
- Those who have dedicated their lives to the transcendental topics of the Personality of Godhead, of whom the Vedic hymns sing, and who are constantly engaged in remembering the lotus feet of the Lord, do not run the risk of having misconceptions
- Those who have got background of pious life. So even one goes to the church, "God, give us our daily bread," he's not ordinary person. He's pious man. He has gone to God to ask. He has not gone to anyone
- Those who neglect the Lord's form are surely failures on every path in life, but if one develops even a little love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one is liberated without difficulty - svalpam apy asya dharmasya trayate mahato bhayat
- Those who strictly follow the rules and regulations of householder life engage in sex only once a month, at the end of the menstrual period. As one looks forward to this opportunity, his eyes are overwhelmed by the beauty of his wife
- Those who think that life can exist without the soul have therefore been described here (in SB 10.3.18) as abudhah, foolish rascals
- Those who worship the so-called void also attain such results - one becomes bereft of life's symptoms and becomes just like a tree or other nonmoving entity
- Those with a background of pious life are eligible to receive life's supreme benefit, and to bestow this benefit, the Supreme Personality of Godhead sends His representative to impart His mercy
- Three among these ten - namely Kavi, Mahavira and Savana - lived in complete celibacy. Thus trained in brahmacari life from the beginning of childhood, they were very conversant with the highest perfection, known as the paramahamsa-asrama
- Through training and instruction, one will become detached from worldly life
- Throughout his life he tried to understand the Supreme Personality of Godhead by austerity & penances. Now, the mature result was that Dhruva Maharaja became fit to be carried to the spiritual world, accompanied by the confidential associates of the Lord
- Thus (BG 9.27), it is the duty of everyone to mold his life in such a way that he will not forget Krsna in any circumstance. BG 1972 purports
- Thus (when one's mind is polluted, it is very difficult to remember Krsna, and when remembrance of Lord Krsna is hampered, one's life is unproductive) one becomes unpopular in the eyes of the people in general, for this damages his religiosity and fame
- Thus all the great wrestlers were killed by Krsna and Balarama, and the remaining wrestlers fled from the assembly out of fear for their lives
- Thus by not engaging in the service of the modes of material nature but by developing KC, knowledge in renunciation, & by practicing yoga, in which the mind is always fixed in DS unto the SPG, one achieves My association in this very life
- Thus for unconditional life and self-realization one has to worship the Supreme Lord under the direction of the spiritual master
- Thus one's mind is fixed in samadhi. By devotional service one can then realize the spiritual form of the Lord, which is the destination of devotees. Thus his life becomes successful
- Thus she (Rukmini) desired to dedicate her life to observing severe austerities and penances, such as fasting and going without bodily comforts
- Thus Svayambhuva Manu was a saintly king. Although absorbed in material happiness, he was not dragged to the lowest grade of life, for he always enjoyed his material happiness in a Krsna conscious atmosphere
- Thus when one acts, he offers the results to the Supreme Personality of Godhead and passes life always engaged in the topics of the Lord. Even though such a person may be participating in family life, he is not affected by the results of his actions
- To achieve the ultimate goal of sreyas, or good fortune, one should engage everything, including his life, wealth and words, not only for himself but for others also
- To attain liberation one must give up household life and place himself in the transcendental renounced order
- To attain perfection, one must make devotional service the center of life. In this way one can awaken his natural instincts by work, association and education
- To be a householder is very risky unless one is trained and the wife is a follower of her husband. A husband should be trained at the very beginning of his life
- To be less influenced by the material modes of life, one has to come to this platform of jnana, vairagya and bhakti; otherwise it is not possible
- To become Krsna conscious, one has to become transcendental to these three stages of consciousness. Our present consciousness should be freed from all perceptions of life other than consciousness of Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- To begin eager to serve Krishna is the greatest achievement after many many duration of pious life
- To come to the platform of light, it requires tapasya, austerity. That is required. The human life is meant for tapasya, to come to the life platform
- To concentrate the mind, one must observe a life of celibacy and not fall down. One must undergo the austerity of voluntarily giving up sense enjoyment. One must then control the mind and senses, give charity, be truthful, clean and nonviolent
- To develop love of Krsna means that is real liberation. And that love of Krsna begins after many, many births of cultural life. Bahunam janmanam ante, vasudevah sarvam iti sa mahatma su-durlabhah
- To execute the will of the spiritual master, the disciple should be prepared to lay down his life and abandon all personal considerations
- To give them life again is Krsna's or Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's special gift. Therefore it is said, sri caitanya, prema-bhakti-vadanyata (CC Adi 7.1), His magnanimity. He delivered by His personal example Jagai-Madhai
- To maintain the grhastha life-style, one has to work very hard to acquire money. Thus one is implicated in material life, and he suffers the thorn pricks
- To make your life successful, there is gradual evolution from aquatics to plant life, plant life to insect life, insect life to reptiles, reptiles to bird's life, then beast life, then human life, then civilized life
- To perform devotional service, one should be relieved of the bodily conception of life and aspirations to be happy through elevation to the higher planetary systems
- To see God everywhere and in every living entity is not the final word in self-realization; one needs to see Him in all events, in every activity, in every thought influencing everyone's life, including one's own
- To serve the topmost devotee means to hear from him about the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. To hear the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead from the mouth of a pure devotee is to acquire a pious life
- To sleep is waste of time, so those who are actually interested in spiritual life, they adjust life in such a way that almost they sleep nil
- To stop the suffering of material existence, one must take to the Hare Krsna movement of sankirtana or Krsna conscious life
- To such mudhas (who work very hard day and night), material gains, which are destructible, are life's all in all-despite the fact that the mudhas enjoy only a very small fraction of the fruit of labor. BG 1972 purports
- Today I may be in good position, I may be millionaire, I may be prime minister, but when death will come it will take everything from you, and it will oblige you to go to a species form of life which you cannot deny
- Tolerate this itching (sex desire). You'll avoid so much displeasure, so much unhappiness of life. Be careful." That is brahmacari life
- Too much enjoyment of any of the senses (not only sex) results in sinful activities. Therefore one has to become a svami or gosvami at the end of his life
- Topics concerning his renunciation are wonderful. Throughout his life he never allowed his tongue sense gratification
- Trained grhastha can gradually give up household life
- Trained in brahmacari life from the beginning of childhood
- Trained in spiritual understanding as a brahmacari before entering household life
- Trees and vegetables, not industry, provide the real means of life
- Truthful, clean, and controlling the mind, controlling the senses, simplicity in behavior, and tolerance, knowledge, application of knowledge in practical life, and full faith in God . . . that, these nine symptoms, brahma-karma svabhava-jam
- Try to study the energy of the Lord in every sphere of life. Do not decry Him and try to become like Him or take His position simply by fragmental accumulation of knowledge
- Try to understand it from the authoritative source and apply it in your life. Amongst the dying mortals, you will become the most intelligent because you are freed from sinful actions
- Try to understand the philosophy of Lord Caitanya. So Lord Caitanya thought it - not thought it; this is a fact - that this sort of life, seeking material happiness . . . material happiness means sense gratification
U
- Uddhava continued reading Krsna's message, "'Transcendental knowledge of the Absolute is no longer necessary for you. You were accustomed to loving Me from the very beginning of your lives'"
- Ultimately the result of such mercy certainly depended on the will of the Supreme Lord in the present life; Dhrtarastra attained liberation only, and after many such liberated states of life one can attain to the stage of devotional service
- Ultimately you can give the beauty also of the woman or the man. But where is life? Bring life by all these things. Then I will say that you are scientist. Otherwise cheater, simply bluffing people. This thing should be stopped
- Under the influence of illusory material energy, we accept this spot-life of only a few years as our permanent existence and thus become illusioned by possessing so-called country, home, land, children, wife, community, wealth, etc
- Understanding of Bhagavad-gita is really profitable and authorized for the welfare of human society in fulfilling the mission of life. BG 1972 Preface
- Unfortunately, atheistic science will not accept that matter comes from life
- Unfortunately, Indians are now imitating the western kind of life. It is very regrettable
- Unfortunately, modern society has devised many means for killing animals in different forms of life
- Unfortunately, people in this age, especially persons who are of a demoniac nature, want to be cheated. Thus the Supreme Personality of Godhead sends great cheaters who mislead them in the name of yoga and render their lives useless and doomed
- University students today are not given instructions in the regulative principles of brahmacarya (celibate student life), nor do they have any faith in any scriptural injunctions
- Unless a living entity forgets his real identity, it is impossible for him to live in the material conditions of life. Therefore the first condition of material existence is forgetfulness of one's real identity
- Unless one associates with devotees, one cannot learn the science of vasudevarpana, or dedicating one's life to Vasudeva, Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In India the principles of this science were followed strictly
- Unless one can train a child for liberation in that life, there is no need to marry or produce children. If human society produces children like cats and dogs for the disturbance of social order, the world becomes hellish, as it has in this age of Kali
- Unless one is extremely advanced in spiritual consciousness, household life is nothing but a dark well in which one commits suicide
- Unless one is svanubhavam, self-realized, life is bhagavata, he cannot preach Bhagavata. That is not... That will not be effective. A gramophone will not help
- Unless one practices penances and austerities in his student life, he cannot understand the existence of God. Without realizing Krsna, one cannot make his life perfect
- Unless one takes the dust of the lotus feet of a pure Vaisnava on one's head, one cannot understand what the Supreme Personality of Godhead is, and unless one knows the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one's life remains imperfect
- Unless the chemist or the soap-maker brings them together and mixes, the soap does not come. So how you can say that the chemical combination is the source of life? No, that is not possible. This is right conclusion
- Upon regaining consciousness and being released from the punishment, Kaliya got back his life force and the working power of his senses. With folded hands, he humbly began to pray to the Supreme Lord Krsna
- Upon seeing that his own attempt had failed and that the Sudarsana cakra was moving toward him, Durvasa Muni became very frightened and began to run in all directions to save his life
- Urdhvam gacchanti sattva-stha. If you are regulated in the modes of goodness, sattva-stha, sattva-guna, then you are promoted to the higher planetary system, higher system of life
- Urukrama means one who acts very wonderful things which is not possible for ordinary human being. So He wanted to show the real path of life
V
- Vaikuntha life means sac-cid-ananda. Krsna's body is sac-cid-ananda-vigrahah (Bs. 5.1). Not only Krsna's body; anyone who lives in the spiritual world, his body is spiritual body, and spiritual body means sat, cit, ananda
- Vaisnava is meant for delivering all the fallen souls. Just like a very good example: Lord Jesus Christ. According to the Christian idea, he took all the sins of all people and he sacrificed his life
- Vanaprastha life is accepted, generally, after fiftieth year, not earlier. Then the husband and wife travels all over, I mean to say, spiritual sanctified places. In India there are so many places. So in this way, there is no sex in the vanaprastha
- Varuna said, "At this moment, as I look at You, (Krsna) my life is made completely successful because by seeing You I no longer have to accept a material body"
- Vasudeva said, "A person seeking auspicious progress in life must avoid possessing too much material opulence so that he will not become blind and puffed up, and he should take care of his friends and relatives"
- Vasudeva said, "The pure taste of water, the water itself and the vital force which maintains all life are also features of Your Lordship (Krsna and Balarama)"
- Vedanta-sutra explains this brahma-jijnasa. Athato brahma jijnasa. Athato - Now it is the time for you to enquire about your Brahman realization, of your Brahman life
- Vedic study is meant for brahmacarya, or student life
- Vegetable has also life, but we are not killing. When you pluck out the flower, the tree is not killed. When you take a fruit, the tree is not killed. When you take grains, automatically they die, then you take the grains. There is no question of killing
- Vibhu remained a brahmacari and never married throughout his life. From him, eighty-eight thousand other saintly persons took lessons on self-control, austerity and similar behavior
- Vidura retired from putting questions before Maitreya Muni when he was convinced by him that the summum bonum of life is to be finally situated in the transcendental loving service of Lord Sri Krsna ,Govinda one who satisfies His devotees in all respects
- Vidura was not a sadhu to satisfy the ill-gotten sentiment of Dhrtarastra. He was correctly pointing out the real situation of life, and how one can save oneself from such catastrophies
- Vidura, was astonished how powerful is the urge to continue life. This sense of continuing one's life indicates that a living being is eternally a living entity and does not want to change his bodily habitation
- Viraraghava Acarya has indicated that this word mahatma means "steady in heart." That is to say that Daksa was so stronghearted that even when his beloved daughter was prepared to lay down her life, he was steady and unshaken
- Visvanatha said, "Sannyasis become attracted by philanthropic work, such as opening educational institutions, hospitals or monasteries, churches or temples of demigods, they find only trouble from such engagements, not only in this life but in the next"
- Voidness philosophy has created atheism. Because, just try to understand clearly, I am spiritual being. I want enjoyment. That is my life. I want enjoyment. But as soon as my future is void, I must be inclined to enjoy this material life
- Vrnda tells Krsna, "All of these gopis have become so affected (by Krsna's smile) that it is as if they had offered three sprinkles of water upon their lives. In other words, they have given up all hope for their living condition"
- Vyasadeva taught Sukadeva the difference between fruitive work and empiric knowledge, the ways and means of attaining spiritual realization and the four asramas (namely the student life, the householder's life, the retired life and the renounced life)
W
- We accept as blessings different states of higher life, distinguishing them from lower states of life, but we should know that such distinctions exist only in relation to the interchange of the modes of material nature
- We allow grhastha life, but a grhastha also follows the path of renunciation
- We allow no meat-eating, no illicit sex, no gambling and no intoxication, and consequently the parents wonder how, if there are so many no's, one's life can be positive
- We are a Society, so the grhasthas are there, brahmacaris, sannyasis, vanaprastha. All status of life. Missionaries, they have got only sannyasis. We have got all
- We are already destined to have a certain amount of happiness and a certain amount of distress, and we cannot change that. The change we should make, therefore, is to get free from this material condition of life. That should be our only business
- We are always afraid of these hindrances to our auspicious life. Therefore, may they all be completely destroyed by the chanting of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra
- We are begging you, "Don't spoil your life. Please take this mantra. Chant wherever you like." It has no hard and fast rules you have to follow
- We are busy trying to arrange for temporary comforts in this life, but we are neglecting the real discomforts of birth, death, old age, and disease
- We are chanting, dancing, and eating nicely. What you are doing? You are simply talking nonsense. There is no peace in your life. And see our devotees in Krsna consciousness. This is the proof, practical proof
- We are decorating this body with flower, ornaments, nice cloth. How long? So long the life is there. Then it is beautiful. Otherwise no more beautiful
- We are giving chance to become fortunate. This is our mission. The most unfortunate is getting the chance of becoming fortunate. Any one of us can consider this, how from unfortunate life they are coming to fortunate. This is Krsna consciousness movement
- We are independent," "There is no life after death." These are all foolish man's theory. We are eternal, there is life after death, and that life also has got different gradation
- We are introducing this tapasya in nutshell. We are asking our students four principles, four regulative principles. No illicit sex life. Beyond marriage life, there is no sex. No intoxication, up to smoking and drinking tea. No meat-eating. No gambling
- We are not going to develop a competitive farming enterprise for making money. The basic principle is to become independent of artificial city life, working in factories producing nut and bolts
- We are not meant to manufacture a society of monkeys or tigers or asses - or rascals who work very hard. Do you mean to say a society of asses will derive any benefit from life? No
- We are now given a most exalted life form, that of a human being, but if we do not act accordingly, we have to take a lower body. This is karmana daiva-netrena - SB 3.31.1
- We are passing through 8,400,000 forms of life - from aquatic to plants, trees, then insect, then flies, then birds, then beasts, then uncivilized human beings, jungle, then come to this Aryan form, civilized form of human being
- We are presenting ideal living on Vedic principles of purified life
- We are presenting the best and easiest method of making final solution of all the discrepancies of life and achieving the highest bliss, which is eternal
- We are real religious people. We are enlightening people about religion, life, about God
- We are simply sitting down and inquiring about Krsna, and this is what one should do. This is life. Why should one work day and night like an ass? What kind of life is this? No. This is not life
- We are sitting down and inquiring about Krsna. This is life. This is life. And what is this life? Working day and night like the ass? No. That is not life
- We are so fool, we cannot realize. We accept, "This life is very pleasant. Let me enjoy it." It is not pleasant at all. Seasonal changes, always. This distress or that distress; this disease or that disease
- We are so foolish, we are thinking that "God is dead, and I shall continue my life, and my wife, my children, my countrymen, my nation will save me." That is not possible
- We are teaching and propagating this bhakti-yoga. People are disturbed in so many ways in this age of Kali. To give them real satisfaction of life is to awaken them to the platform of God consciousness
- We are thinking, "I am this material body. I have to work day and night, and then I shall get my food, and I shall live." This is ignorance. We have lived this life of ignorance in forms other than that of a human being

- We are Vaisnavas. We are not concerned with male or female position in life. That is simply bodily concept of life. It is not spiritual
- We belong to the Aryan family, but we have lost our knowledge. So we have become non-Aryan practically, because we do not give importance to the spiritual side of life
- We can actually see in our daily lives how we are forced to make plans to drive away miserable conditions
- We can argue, a good argument, logic, that you won’t find life by combination of these material elements. That is not possible. Therefore a sane man must consider that life does not belong to these eight elements. This is dead matter. There is no life
- We can exist in lower grade of life like cats, dogs, insects, trees, aquatics, like that. And we can exist also in the same way as we are existing now. And we can exist also exactly like God - eternal life of bliss and knowledge

- We do not accept Darwin's rascal theory of evolution from lower-grade life, in the creation everything is there. All the 8,400,000 species. According to the past karma, everyone comes out again, gets a different type of body and begins his work
- We do not know "What I was before this life and what I shall become after this life?" Life is continuation. That is spiritual knowledge. But they do not know also even that life is continuation

- We do not know, after closing our eyes, we do not know what is happening before our eyes. So our knowledge is always imperfect. And this life is also miserable. It is not at all blissful
- We do not wish to die, but we have to accept death. This is our conditional stage of life. I do not wish to take birth; still, I am forced to go into the womb of my mother by the laws of nature
