- A devotee follows the principles of pancaratrika-vidhi as well as bhagavata-vidhi
- According to Lord Caitanya, the codes of the Pancaratra and the codes of Vedanta are one and the same. Since the Vedanta-sutra is compiled by Vyasadeva, it should be understood to be spoken by Narayana Himself
- According to Pancaratra, Narayana is the primeval cause of all expansions of Godhead
- According to the pancaratrika system, however, even though everyone is a sudra due to the absence of garbhadhana-samskara, if a person has but a little tendency to become KC, he should be given the chance to elevate to the transcendental platform of ds
- Akrura continued, "After being properly initiated in the method of Pancaratra, they decorate their bodies with tilaka and engage in worshiping Your different forms of visnu-murti"
- All devotees are in the disciplic succession stemming from Narada Muni because they worship the Deity according to Narada Muni's direction, namely the Narada Pancaratra, or the pancaratrika-vidhi
- Although chanting is quite sufficient to cover all the Biddhis, still to keep ourselves pure and sanctified, we must observe the rules and regulations of Pancaratriki Biddhi
- As far as possible both should go on in parallel lines but still bhagavata marga is more important than the other. So you are all intelligent boys, so you should judge the desire of my guru maharaj and help me in that way
B
- Bhagavata side is very difficult. Unless one is purified from the pancaratriki side, it is very difficult to go to the bhagavata side. But Caitanya Mahaprabhu has given this simple process: chanting Hare Krsna, kirtana, and hearing the Srimad-Bhagavatam
- Bhagavata-vidhi includes preaching work - sravanam kirtanam visnoh (SB 7.5.23) - the hearing and chanting of the glories of Lord Visnu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The pāñcarātrika-vidhi includes arcanaṁ vandanaṁ dāsyaṁ sakhyam ātma-niv
C
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu's process is that if anyone is a little inclined to Krsna, so we should give him all facilities to develop Krsna consciousness. That is pancaratrika-vidhi
- Chanting of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra is so powerful that it does not depend on official initiation, but if one is initiated and engages in pancaratra-vidhi (Deity worship), his Krsna consciousness will awaken very soon
D
- Deity worship will help you in the path of bhagavat-marga, and the bhagavat-marga will help you in the pancaratrika-vidhi. So combine together; make progress
- Devotional service is established on the principles of sruti, smrti, purana or pancaratra authorities, the make-show of devotional service should at once be rejected
- During my Guru Maharaja's time, even a person was coming from a brahmana family, he was initiated according to the pancaratrika system taking him to be a sudra. So the birthright brahmanism is not applicable at the present moment
H
- He (Madhvacarya) quoted a verse from Skanda Purana in which it is stated that the Rg Veda, Sama Veda, Atharva Veda, Mahabharata, Pancaratra and the original Ramayana are actually Vedic evidence
- Human society must follow the instructions received from sruti and smrti, Vedic literature. Practically applied in life this is worship of the Supreme Personality of Godhead according to the pancaratrika-vidhi
I
- I (Gajendra) offer my respectful obeisances unto You (God), who are the shelter of the Vedic knowledge contained in the sastras like the Pancaratras and Vedanta-sutra, which are Your representations, and who are the source of the parampara system
- If brahminical qualifications are found in the person of a sudra, he should immediately be accepted as a brahmana. To substantiate this there are many quotations from SB, Mahabharata, Bharadvaja-samhita & the pancaratra, as well as many other scriptures
- If one has got little taste for Krsna understanding, he should be encouraged. That is pancaratriki. Just like if there is little fire you fan it - fan it, and it will come out a big, blazing fire
- In Dvapara-yuga one could satisfy Krsna or Visnu only by worshiping Him gorgeously according to the pancaratriki system, but in the Age of Kali one can satisfy and worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead Hari simply by chanting the holy name
- In Dvapara-yuga, devotees of Lord Visnu and Krsna rendered devotional service according to the principles of Pancaratra. In this Age of Kali, the Supreme Personality of Godhead is worshiped simply by the chanting of His holy names
- In every samhita, the jiva (living entity) has been accepted as eternal, and in the Pancaratras the birth of the jiva is completely denied
- In reply to the commentary of Sankaracarya on the forty-fourth aphorism, it may be said that no pure devotees strictly following the principles of the Pancaratra will ever accept the statement that all the expansions of Visnu are different identities
- In the Dvapara-yuga one could satisfy Krsna or Visnu only by worshiping opulently according to the pancaratriki system, but in the Age of Kali one can satisfy and worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead Hari simply by chanting His holy name
- In the modern age, such malicious scholars (who attempt to misrepresent the Pancaratra-sastras) have even commented misleadingly upon the Bhagavad-gita, which was spoken by Krsna, to prove that there is no Krsna
- In the present age of degradation there are no such brahmanas. According to the pancaratrika system, in this age the entire population is supposed to consist of sudras because the brahminical culture has been lost
- In the Srimad-Bhagavatam there is no recommendation of pancaratriki worship because in this Kali-yuga, even without Deity worship, everything can be perfectly performed
- In this age of Kali, so many gurus have sprung up, and because they do not refer to the sruti-smrti-puranadi-pancaratrika-vidhi, they are creating a great disturbance in the world in regard to understanding the Absolute Truth
- It is not possible, however, to revive the Vedic process of purification in this age, for want of proper facilities and good brahmanas, but there is the Pancaratrika system also recommended for this age
- It is said, pancaratrasya krtsnasya vakta tu bhagavan svayam: the pancaratra system is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, just like Bhagavad-gita
- It is Srimad-Bhagavatam’s opinion that the process of Deity worship is not actually necessary, just as the specific prescriptions of the Pancaratra and other scriptures do not have to be followed
M
- Malicious editors and scholars who attempt to misrepresent the Pancaratra-sastras to refute their regulations are most abominable
- My spiritual master inaugurated this Pancaratriki-vidhi, and we are following his footsteps. Anyone who is inclined to devote his life for Krsna, he should be accepted as brahmana
O
- One cannot become a bona fide devotee without being trained up under the regulative principles of sruti-smrti-puranadi-pancaratra-vidhi
- One has to develop his devotional service under the directions of a pure devotee, the spiritual master, and in accordance with the Vedic directions given in the Pancaratra and Bhagavata systems
- One who does not follow the principles of pancaratra, or one who is an impersonalist or addicted to sex life, cannot be compared with those who have dedicated their lives to the service of Krsna
- Our KC movement adopts this pancaratrika-vidhi, as advised by Sanatana Gosvami: "As bell metal, when mixed with mercury, is transformed to gold, a person, even though not golden pure, can be transformed into a brahmana, simply by the initiation process."
- Our process is to accept both the lines of bhagwat marga and pancharatriki marga. Perhaps you might have seen the picture of the Gaudiya mission. On one side there is the bhagwat book and on the other side a picture of Laxmi Narayana for Deity worship
- Our process is to work on Bhagavata and Pancaratriki systems simultaneously. Deity worship is pancaratriki system and preaching is Bhagavata system
P
- Pancaratra authorities
- Pancaratrika-vidhi is especially meant for this age, that anyone who has little, a slight tendency to become a devotee, he should be given all chance
- Pancaratrika-vidhi, they accept, nobody is brahmin. Everyone is sudra - kalau sudra-sambhava. In this age, nobody is actually born of a brahmin family or ksatriya family. That is accepted. Because nobody is keeping up their standard
- Pancaratriki-vidhi means if any one has a little inclination for spiritual development, he should be given chance. This initiation means to give chance
S
- Scriptures known as the Pancaratra-sastras
- Simply by rubber-stamping, harijana? No. Here, what we are doing, it is not rubber-stamp. It is actually training according to the pancaratriki-vidhi
- Simply by rubber-stamping, how one can become devotee? That is not possible. Without going the pancaratriki-vidhi, they remain the same unclean drunkard and the all nonsense habits
- So-called devotional practices that have no reference to the rules and regulations set down in such books of Vedic literature as the sruti, the smrti, the Puranas, and the Pancaratras are not bona fide
- Srila Rupa Gosvami said: Devotional service performed without reference to the Vedas, Puranas, Pancaratras, etc., must be considered sentimentalism, and it causes nothing but disturbance to society
- Sripada Sankaracarya has tried to equate the Pancaratras with the philosophy of the atheist Kapila, and thus he has tried to prove that the Pancaratras contradict the Vedic injunctions
- Such (Dhaumya and Krpa) brahmanas are not only rare, but also not available in this age, & therefore, for the purpose of spiritual upliftment in this fallen age, the Gosvamis prefer the purificatory processes under Pancaratrika formulas to the Vedic rites
- Such (pancaratrika system) a purificatory process is allowed only for spiritual upliftment and not for any other purpose. Spiritual upliftment is never conditioned by higher or lower parentage
T
- That the Lord can manifest Himself before His devotees by His inconceivable power is not against the teaching of the Pancaratras
- The arcana-marga, or the devotional path prescribed in the Pancaratra system of devotional service for worshiping the Deity in the temple, makes the devotee think constantly of the Lord; that is samadhi, or trance
- The Bhagavata Bidhi is preaching work, and Sankirtana, and Pancaratriki Bidhi is Temple worship of the Deities. The Temple worship will keep us sanctified, and when we shall preach in sanctified, pure heart, the preaching will be immediately effective
- The devotees who follow the Pancaratra state that God’s qualities and God Himself, as the owner of the qualities, are the same
- The evidence of the Pancaratras cannot be neglected. Only untrained persons who have not genuinely studied the Pancaratras think that the Pancaratras contradict the srutis regarding the birth or beginning of the living entity
- The followers of the codes of devotional service known as the Pancaratras regard You as being endowed with nine different potencies
- The Gosvamis say, "Without any reference to these all Vedic literatures, any kind of devotional service is simply disturbance." Pancaratri-vidhim vina aikantiki harer bhaktir upatayaiva kalpate. Utpat, disturbance
- The initiation must be done according to sruti, smrti or pancaratriki vidhi. To make spiritual progress in three ways: by the Vedanta philosophy, or Vedic ways, or according to smrti. Smrti means authorized books written in accordance to the sruti
- The Krsna consciousness movement follows the process of pancaratrika-vidhi and that of bhagavata-vidhi simultaneously, so that people can take advantage of the movement and make their lives successful
- The love of Godhead of those engaged in pancaratrika regulative principles depends more or less on the opulent and reverential platform, but the worship of Radha and Krsna is purely on the platform of transcendental love
- The original speaker of these scriptures (the Pancaratra-sastras) is Narayana, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is especially mentioned in the Moksa-dharma (349.68), which is part of the Santi-parva of the Mahabharata
- The Pancaratra and Vedanta-sutra express the same opinions. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu therefore confirms that there is no difference in opinion between the two
- The Pancaratra system includes methods of temple worship, and the Bhagavata system includes the spreading of Krsna conscious philosophy through the recitation of Srimad-Bhagavatam and the discussion of philosophy with people who are interested
- The Pancaratras state that the personality of jiva called Sankarsana has emerged from Vasudeva, the supreme cause of all causes, that Pradyumna, the mind, has come from Sankarsana, and that Aniruddha, the ego, has come from Pradyumna
- The Pancaratrika system acts on the sudra class of men, supposedly the population of the Kali-yuga, and it is the prescribed purificatory process suitable to the age and time
- The pancaratrika system is both practical and suitable for this age of quarrel. The Pancaratra is more important than the Vedanta for this modern age
- The pancaratrika-vidhi, they do not recognize anybody as qualified brahmin. Everyone sudra, beginning from the lowest stage. Get him conversant in Krsna consciousness, and then initiated, and gradually elevate him by this process
- The pancaratriki formula for training persons in devotional service is temple worship, whereby the neophytes get the opportunity to learn devotional service to the Lord
- The purport (of Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.2.101) is that to become a devotee one must follow the principles laid down in sruti and smrti. One must follow the codes of the puranas and the pancaratriki-vidhi
- The Rg Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda, Atharva Veda, Mahabharata, Pancaratra and original Ramayana are all considered Vedic literature

- There are two kinds of devotional service: the way of pancaratrika regulative principles and the way of bhagavata transcendental loving service
- There are two systems of arcana - the bhagavata system and pancaratriki system
- There are two ways of spiritual advancement: one is called pancaratriki viddhi, another is called bhagavata-viddhi
- These scriptures (the Pancaratra-sastras) are not products of the modes of passion and ignorance. Learned scholars and brahmanas therefore always refer to them as satvata-samhitas
- This Krsna conscious movement is based on this (pancaratrika-vidhi) process, that we accept everyone as lowborn. Even my Guru Maharaja, even if he is born of a brahmin family, he would not recognize that he is a brahmana
- This statement (of Caitanya in CC Madhya 8.128) is supported by Sri Madhavendra Puri. According to the pancaratra injunction, only a householder brahmana can initiate. Others cannot
- Those who are very advanced in knowledge and are situated in the mode of goodness follow the Vedic instructions of the sruti and smrti and other religious scriptures, including the pancaratriki-vidhi
- Those who follow the pancaratriki-vidhi under the guidance of a proper spiritual master can understand the Absolute Truth
- Through discussion, one can create an interest and understanding of the Pancaratra and Bhagavata systems
W
- We have got books also, philosophy also, plus the sankirtana, combined together. Sankirtana as well as books, that is called bhagavat-marga, and the Deity worship is called pancaratrika-vidhi. Both of them should go parallel
- We have got both Brahmacharies and Householders as disciples, and all of them are following the above mentioned principles (no illicit sex life, etc.). The students and disciples are initiated according to authorized Pancharatriki regulations
- We have to maintain two lines parallel; namely the path of Srimad-Bhagavatam and the path of Pancaratriki. Srimad-Bhagavatam is the path for Paramahamsas, and Pancaratra path is for the neophytes
- We have to make our steady progress, keeping both sides in balance; namely the Pancaratriki Biddhi and Bhagavat Biddhi
- Without serving Krsna according to the vidhi-marga regulative principles of the pancaratrika-vidhi, unscrupulous persons want to jump immediately to the raga-marga principles. Such persons are called sahajiya
- Without understanding the Supreme Personality of Godhead in this way (by following the Vedic instructions of the sruti and smrti and other religious scriptures, including the pancaratriki-vidhi), one only creates a disturbance
- Worship according to the pancaratrika-vidhi is called vidhi-marga, and worship according to the bhagavata-vidhi principles is called raga-marga
