- The Lord is always smiling, and the devotee should constantly see the Lord in this form, as He looks very mercifully toward the devotee. In this way the meditator should look toward the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the bestower of all benedictions
- The Lord says in Bhagavad-gita (BG 9.22): For those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on My transcendental form, I carry to them what they lack and preserve what they have

- Yogis generally meditate upon the transcendental form of Visnu, but devotees not only meditate upon Him but actually engage in the direct service of the Lord
