- A devotee's mind is always calm, quiet and desireless because he is always anyabhilasita-sunyam (CC Madhya 19.167), having no desire other than to serve Krsna as His personal servant, friend, father, mother or conjugal lover

- Vasudeva's thought of protecting Krsna from Kamsa's wrath is part of a transcendental relationship. He enjoys more when someone takes Him as his subordinate son who needs the protection of a father than He does when someone accepts Him as the Supreme God
- Vasudeva, the father of Krsna, had sixteen wives, and one of them was Rohini, the mother of Baladeva. But Baladeva is also described as the son of Devaki, so how could He be the son of both Devaki and Rohini
- Vasudeva, who was to be the father of Krsna, is described here (in SB 10.1.36) as maha-bhaga, a very upright and sober personality, because although Kamsa was ready to kill Vasudeva's wife, Vasudeva remained sober and unagitated
