How to use Vaniquotes Vaniquotes is a searchable encyclopedia of quotes from the books, lectures, conversations and letters of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It is free and open to everyone - no membership, user name or password is required.

Vaniquotes compiles quotes based on keyword searches. The site is organized on two levels: categories and pages.

  • Categories are the broadest topical division. Each category covers a set of terms (key words or phrases for research).
  • Pages fall within the categories. Pages focus on specific expressions (words or phrases) which incorporate the category’s terms.
  • Pages contain compilations of quotes, which are organized into sections by source.

To browse Vaniquotes: Start by clicking on “All categories” (located under the “vaniquotes” section of the menu to the left side of your screen). This will take you to the category namespace.

From there you may browse through alphabetical listings of categories. Click on the category names to open the lists.

  • To open a specific category on the list, click on the category name. From here you will see lists of related categories and pages linked to the category.
  • To open a page or another category, click on the page/category name.

Once you’re in a page, you can access the full source text for each quote.

  • Click on the blue reference link preceding the quote. This will take you to that specific text in Vanisource.
