- Impersonalists generally undergo great endeavor for no tangible benefit, and therefore it is said that they are husking paddy that has no grain (sthula-tusavaghatinah)
- In India sukla-caula (white rice) is also called atapa-caula, or rice that has not been boiled before being husked. Another kind of rice, called siddha-caula (brown rice), is boiled before being husked
- In that condition (of being devoid of material desires) it is to be understood that one is free from the material body. The example is already given above - a coconut which is dry is loosened from its outward husk. This is the stage of liberation
