A
- After observing such wonderful happenings (of Trnavarta trying to kill Krsna), Nanda Maharaja began to think of the words of Vasudeva again and again
- After this incident (of Trnavarta trying to kill Krsna), Vasudeva asked his family priest, Garga Muni, to visit the place of Nanda Maharaja in order to astrologically calculate the future life of Krsna
- All of them (Kamsa's wizards) appeared before the child-Lord (Krsna) in various forms, like Agha, Baka, Putana, Sakata, Trnavarta, Dhenuka and Gardabha, and they tried to kill the Lord at every opportunity
B
- Baby Krsna made Himself heavy & began to weigh down the demon, catching hold of his neck. Trnavarta felt the baby to be as heavy as a big mountain, & he tried to get out of His clutches, but he was unable to, and his eyes popped out from their sockets
- Because Krsna had caught the demon's neck, the demon (Trnavarta) was unable to throw Him off. He therefore thought of the child as wonderful, since he could neither bear the child nor cast aside the burden - SB 10.7.27
- Because of Krsna's weight, Trnavarta considered Him to be like a great mountain or a hunk of iron - SB 10.7.27
- Because the child (Krsna), although taken into the sky by the demon (Trnavarta), was unhurt and now free from all danger and misfortune, the gopis and cowherd men, headed by Nanda Maharaja, were extremely happy - SB 10.7.30
F
- From the very beginning of His childhood, Krsna killed Putana, Trnavarta & Sakatasura & showed the entire universe within His mouth. Thus the pastimes of Krsna, one after another, kept mother Yasoda & all the inhabitants of Vraja in great astonishment
- From the very beginning, by killing Putana, Sakatasura and Trnavartasura, by causing the trees to fall, and by showing the entire universe within His mouth, Krsna proved that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead
H
- Having assumed the form of a forceful whirlwind, the demon Trnavarta took Krsna very high in the sky, but when Krsna became heavier than the demon, the demon had to stop his force and could go no further - SB 10.7.26
- Having seen all these incidents in Brhadvana (Krsna's pastimes with Putana and Trnavarta), Nanda Maharaja became more and more astonished, and he remembered the words spoken to him by Vasudeva in Mathura - SB 10.7.33
- He (Trnavarta) picked the child up on his shoulders and raised a great dust storm all over Vrndavana, covering everyone's eyes. Within a few moments the whole area of Vrndavana became so densely dark that no one could see himself or anyone else
I
- In His (Krsna's) childhood body He also fought with demons, such as Putana, Trnavarta and Aghasura, with strength equal to that with which He fought in His youth against demons like Dantavakra and Sisupala
- In the first part of the Gopala-campu the following subject matters are discussed: (7) the killing of the Trnavarta demon, Lord Krsna’s eating dirt, Lord Krsna’s childish naughtiness, and Lord Krsna as a thief
- In the Tenth Canto, 7th Chapter, 22nd verse of Srimad-Bhagavatam there is a description of Krsna's being taken away by the whirlwind demon Trnavarta. As Krsna was being thus carried up into the sky, all the gopis began to cry aloud
- It is most astonishing that although this innocent child (Krsna) was taken away by the Raksasa (Trnavarta) to be eaten, He has returned without having been killed or even injured - SB 10.7.31
O
- One cowherd boy said, "When He (Krsna) was only one year old, He was carried away by the Trnavarta demon disguised as a whirlwind"
- One gopi became the demon Trnavarta and carried the small child Krsna by force into the sky; and one of the gopis began to imitate Krsna while He was attempting to walk, ringing His ankle bells
T
- The gopis immediately picked Krsna up from the chest of the demon (Trnavarta) and delivered Him, free from all inauspiciousness, to mother Yasoda - SB 10.7.30
- The Lord had already shown His unlimited potency by killing Putana, Sakatasura and Trnavarta. Now Krsna exhibited another vibhuti, or display of potency, to mother Yasoda. Unless I agree - Krsna desired to show - you cannot bind Me
- The Trnavarta demon went high into the sky with baby Krsna on his shoulder, but the baby assumed such a weight that suddenly he could not go any further, and he had to stop his whirlwind activities
- The whirlwind demon known as Trnavarta once carried Krsna off from the ground and blew Him around, along with some very big trees. At that time, Mother Yasoda could not see her son, and she was so disturbed that she began to walk this way and that
- They (the cowherd men and women) began to talk about how wonderful it was that the demon (Trnavarta) had taken away the child (Krsna) to devour Him but could not do so; instead he fell down dead
- Trnavarta, in the form of a whirlwind, took the child (Krsna) away into the dangerous sky to kill Him, but the demon fell down onto a slab of stone. In that case also, by the mercy of Lord Visnu or His associates, the child was saved - SB 10.11.25
W
- When He (Lord Krsna) was a child on the lap of His mother, He killed the demon Putana. Then He killed the demons Trnavarta, Vatsasura and Baka. When He was a little more grown up, He killed the demons Aghasura and Rsabhasura
- When the child Krsna assumed such heaviness, she had to put Him down in order to give Trnavartasura an opportunity to take Him away and play with Him for some time before the child returned to the lap of His mother
- When the gopis saw the demon (Trnavarta) killed and child Krsna very happily playing on his body, they immediately picked Krsna up with great affection. The cowherd men and women became very happy to get back their beloved child Krsna
- While the child (Krsna) was sitting on the ground, a demon named Trnavarta, who was a servant of Kamsa's, came there as a whirlwind, at Kamsa's instigation, and very easily carried the child away into the air - SB 10.7.20
- With Krsna grasping him by the throat, Trnavarta choked, unable to make even a sound or even to move his hands and legs. His eyes popping out, the demon lost his life and fell, along with the little boy, down to the ground of Vraja - SB 10.7.28
